Conventionally, there has been proposed a method of managing food materials by using a barcode or an IC tag attached to the food materials (see, for example, patent documents 1 and 2).
[ patent document 1 ] Japanese patent application laid-open No. 11-316076
[ patent document 2 ] Japanese patent laid-open No. 2005-265274
However, although the barcode attached to the general food such as a retail packaged product or vegetables such as a supermarket records information such as the type and price of the food, other operations such as user registration are necessary to identify the optimal taste term. In this regard, it seems that a large amount of information can be obtained if an IC tag is attached, but in reality, the IC tag is not attached to the general food material, and this is not a realistic solution.

Detailed Description
The embodiments are described below with reference to the drawings.
As shown in fig. 1, a refrigerator 1 includes a refrigerator compartment 3 and a vegetable compartment 4 in a refrigerator temperature range, an ice compartment 5, a small freezer compartment 6, a large freezer compartment 7, and the like in a freezing temperature range, and a plurality of storage compartments in a front surface opening, in a rectangular box-shaped main body 2 having an opening in the front surface. The refrigerating chamber 3 is a storage chamber opened and closed by a left door 3a and a right door 3b of a so-called french door, and a plurality of door grooves 8 formed of a transparent resin are provided in the left door 3a and the right door 3b, respectively. The left door 3a and the right door 3b are brought into contact with electrostatic sensors, not shown, provided in the respective doors, and the door opener 9 provided on the upper surface side of the main body 2 is operated to open the doors.
Vegetable compartment 4, ice making compartment 5, small freezer compartment 6, and large freezer compartment 7 are opened and closed by drawer- type doors 4a, 5a, 6a, and 7a, respectively. The front opening of each storage chamber opened and closed by each door corresponds to the front opening. The structure of the refrigerator 1 is merely an example, and the number and arrangement of the storage chambers are not limited to this.
Character reading device 10 is provided near the center of the upper and lower sides of the front opening of refrigerating room 3, that is, at a position spaced from left door 3a and right door 3 b. Further, of the 4 sides of the front opening of the refrigerating chamber 3, 2 sides on which the character reading device 10 is not provided, here, the left and right sides, are provided with the reflecting members 11 that reflect visible light. In the case of the present embodiment, the reflecting member 11 is formed by arranging a thin plate-like or sheet-like mirror on the front end side of the side wall of the refrigerating compartment 3 positioned on the left and right sides of the front opening. However, the reflecting member 11 may be formed by performing mirror processing for reflecting visible light on the front end side of the side wall of the refrigerating compartment 3.
As shown in fig. 2, the refrigerator 1 is controlled by a control device 12. The control device 12 executes a program stored in the storage unit 13 formed of a semiconductor memory or the like to operate a refrigeration cycle, not shown, and the like, thereby controlling cooling of each storage room. In connection with the present embodiment, the storage unit 13 stores a food material list 14, which will be described in detail later.
The control device 12 includes a character reading device 10, an open/close detection unit 15 that detects an open/close state of the door, a display panel 16 provided in front of the left door 3a, for example, a timer 17 that can recognize a time, a communication unit 19 that communicates with an external communication terminal 18, and the like. The display panel 16 and the communication unit 19 constitute a notification unit.
When the open/close detection unit 15 detects that the door is open, the character reading device 10 reads characters recorded on the food material entering and exiting the storage chamber. Specifically, the character reading device 10 includes a camera, not shown, and reads characters written in a seal portion attached to a packaging film of vegetables or a food package, for example, by processing an image captured by the camera.
The read characters are transmitted to the control device 12, and the identification unit 12a identifies the type of the food material and at least one of the optimal taste limit and the best quality limit. In this case, the type of the food material can be identified by reading a character such as "cabbage", and the best taste or quality term can be identified by reading the date described. The following description is made assuming that the food material has the best tasting term recorded therein. Further, as the optimal tasting period, not only the year, month, and day but also the time can be recognized.
In addition, the character reader 10 may be configured to recognize at least one of the type of the food material and the optimum taste limit or shelf life, that is, the character reader 10 may be provided with the recognition unit 12 a. The identified type of food material and the optimal taste or shelf life are registered in the food material list 14 for management.
The operation of the refrigerator 1 will be explained below.
As described above, although a barcode encoding a weight, a price, and the like is attached to a general food material such as a packaged product sold in a supermarket or the like, for example, a vegetable, the barcode is often written in a character different from the barcode in order to allow a user to recognize an optimum taste period of the food material. Therefore, even if the barcode is read, it is difficult to acquire the type of the food material and the optimum taste limit, and it is necessary to perform a task such as user registration.
In addition, in reality, the IC tag is not attached to the general food, and in reality, it is not a realistic solution to acquire the type and the optimum taste limit of the food by using the IC tag. Therefore, the refrigerator 1 can read the characters recorded on the food material by the character reading device 10, and thus the user can recognize the kind and the optimum taste period of the food material without paying much attention to the food material while keeping the selling form unchanged.
Specifically, as shown in fig. 3 and 4, the visual field of the character reading device 10 provided at the position where the front surface of the refrigerating compartment 3 is opened is directed to the front side of the storage compartment, and at least a part of the movable range of the left door 3a and the right door 3b is included in the reading range (R1, R2). In the case of a general camera, in order to obtain a large angle of view, it is necessary to use a wide-angle lens or the like, and in the case of the size of a general refrigerator 1, in order to photograph the entire area of the front opening with one camera, it is necessary to use a lens such as a fisheye lens. However, the deformation of the fisheye lens is not ideal for reading characters.
Therefore, in the present embodiment, the character reading device 10 is provided on 2 opposite sides, here, the upper side and the lower side, among the 4 sides opened in the front surface. Thus, even with a lens that hardly affects the recognition characters, the entire area of the front opening can be covered with 2 cameras. That is, in the refrigerating chamber 3 in which the plurality of shelves 3c and the receiving chamber 3d are provided, the food put in the refrigerator 1 can be brought into the visual field in both the case of placing the food on the shelf 3c on the upper stage and the case of receiving the food in the receiving chamber 3d on the lower stage side.
Further, by disposing the character reading device 10 on 2 sides facing each other, there is an advantage that it is easy to read characters even if the user handles the food material without paying much attention. This is because, for example, if the characters recorded on the food material are a meat product package, the characters are recorded on the upper surface of the seal, on the bottom surface of the package such as a can, and on the side surface of the upwardly protruding portion of the package for mountain-top milk.
Thus, the part where the best taste term is recorded varies from food material to food material. Therefore, the user who sets 1 character reading device 10 needs to pay attention to the character reading device 10 so that the recorded surface faces the character reading device 10 for reading the optimal taste limit. In order to solve this problem, it is considered that, by arranging 2 character reading devices 10 facing each other, the optimum taste limit can be read by one character reading device 10 regardless of how the food is held.
In the present embodiment, the reflecting member 11 is provided on 2 sides on which the character reading device 10 is not provided. Thus, for example, since the side surface of the material is reflected by the reflecting member 11, even when characters are recorded at a position where the character reading device 10 cannot directly see the material or when the material is obliquely put in or out, the characters can be read.
As described above, the refrigerator 1 according to the present embodiment is configured to be able to read characters regardless of the orientation of the food material or the position where the characters are recorded.
When the control device 12 detects that the door is opened by executing the food material management processing shown in fig. 5 (yes in S1), the character is read (S2). At this time, the character reading device 10 reads characters a plurality of times in time series, and recognizes whether to store or take out the food material based on whether the food material moves toward the inside or the outside of the storage room in the plurality of images. Thereby preventing the same food material from being mistakenly read twice.
When the stored food is identified (yes in S3), the control device 12 identifies the type and the optimal taste limit of the food from the read characters (S4), and registers the type and the optimal taste limit of the food in the food list 14 in association with each other (S5). In this case, the date and time of storing the food may be registered in association with each other, or the image of the food may be registered. Further, the food materials stored on the same day may be collected and registered as 1 group, or the same food material may be registered as 1 group. In the case of grouping, it is preferable that the user be able to set the criteria for grouping for the content that the user can easily understand.
On the other hand, when the control device 12 recognizes that the food is not stored, that is, the food is taken out (no in S3), the type of the food is recognized from the read characters (S6), and the taken-out food is deleted from the food list 14.
Further, when the food is stored, the optimal taste limit may be forgotten. Therefore, the control device 12 executes the notification process shown in fig. 6, checks the food material list 14(S10), and determines whether or not there is a food material close to the optimal taste limit (S2). At this time, the controller 12 compares the current year, month, day, and time identified by the timer 17 with the optimal taste limit registered in the food material list 14, determines that there is a food material close to the optimal taste limit when there is a food material whose remaining time of the optimal taste limit is less than a predetermined notification time (yes in S12), and notifies the display panel 16 of the type of the food material, the optimal taste limit, the remaining time of the optimal taste limit, or information prompting use (S13).
In this case, a configuration may be adopted in which information or the like is transmitted to the communication terminal 18 via the communication unit 19 or displayed on the display unit of the communication terminal 18, and the presence of the food close to the optimum taste limit is notified in this manner. When it is determined that there is no food material close to the optimal taste limit (no in S12), the control device 12 ends the process, but the notification process is periodically executed 1 day, 1 time, for example.
In this way, the refrigerator 1 recognizes the type and the optimum taste limit of the food material from the reading result of the characters, and notifies the food material close to the optimum taste limit.
According to the refrigerator 1 described above, the following effects can be obtained.
The refrigerator 1 includes: the food material list management system comprises a main body 2 formed with storage chambers (3, 4, 5, 6, 7), doors (3a, 3b, 4a, 5a, 6a, 7a) for opening and closing front openings of the storage chambers, an opening and closing detection part 15 for detecting the opening and closing states of the doors, a character reading device 10 for reading characters recorded on food materials put in the storage chambers when the opening and closing detection part 15 detects that the doors are in the opening states, a distinguishing part 12a for distinguishing the types and the optimal taste time limit of the food materials from the characters read by the character reading device 10, and a control device 12 for managing the types and the optimal taste limit distinguished by the distinguishing part 12a as food material lists 14 in a corresponding mode.
Thus, even if the user does not perform any special operation, the type and the optimum taste period of the food material can be identified from the characters recorded on the food material entering and exiting from the storage chamber, and the identified optimum taste period of the food material can be managed while identifying the type and the optimum taste period of the food material without changing the selling form.
The character reading apparatus 10 includes at least a part of the movable range of the door within the reading range. This makes it possible to more reliably read characters recorded on the food material that has entered and exited the storage compartment.
The character reading device 10 also reads characters from the food material taken out of the storage room, and the control device 12 recognizes the type of the food material taken out of the storage room and deletes the recognized food material from the food material list 14. This prevents the state in which the ingredients not stored are not registered in the ingredient list 14, that is, the actual storage state of the storage room from being different from the managed storage state of the ingredient list 14.
A plurality of character reading devices 10 are provided in different reading directions. In the case of the embodiment, the character reading devices 10 are respectively disposed on 2 sides facing each other out of 4 sides of the front opening. Thus, when the food is viewed from a plurality of directions, characters expected to be recorded in various positions can be easily read. In this case, the configuration includes a configuration in which the character reading device 10 having a reading direction different from that of the 1 storage room is provided, and a configuration in which a plurality of character reading devices 10 having different reading directions are provided as viewed from the entire refrigerator 1.
The refrigerator 1 is provided with a reflecting member 11 that reflects visible light on at least 1 side of the 4 sides opened in the front surface on which the character reading device 10 is not provided. Thus, even if the characters are written at a position where the character reading device 10 cannot directly see the characters, the optimal taste period can be recognized by reading the characters reflected by the reflecting member 11. In this case, a structure in which mirror processing for reflecting visible light is performed can be employed.
Further, the refrigerator 1 includes at least one of a display panel 16 provided on the door and a communication unit 19 capable of communicating with an external communication terminal 18, and the present embodiment includes both notification units, so that when the remaining time of the optimal taste limit of the food material managed by the food material list 14 is less than a predetermined notification time, the control device 12 can display the remaining time on the display panel 16 or notify the remaining time to the external communication terminal 18 via the communication unit 19, and thus, for example, the user can be prevented from forgetting to use the food material and discarding the food material.
Although the embodiment employs a configuration in which the character reading device 10 is provided near the center of the front opening, a configuration may be employed in which the character reading device 10 is provided near the center of the french left door 3a and near the center of the french right door 3 b. Therefore, even when one door is opened to put in and out the food, the character reading device 10 does not lack the visual field, and can easily read the characters.
Although the embodiment employs a configuration in which the character reading device 10 is provided in the refrigerating compartment 3, the character reading device 10 may be provided in another storage compartment. In this case, in the storage room opened and closed by the drawer-type door, the character reading device 10 is provided above the front opening, so that it is possible to read characters. In this case, the reflecting member 11 can be provided on the bottom and side surfaces of the storage container pulled out together with the door.
Although the embodiment employs a configuration in which the character reading device 10 is provided inside the storage room, in the case where a plurality of storage rooms are arranged vertically like the refrigerator 1, a configuration in which the character reading device 10 is provided on the lower surface of the door of the upper storage room can be employed. For example, by providing the character reading device 10 on the lower surface of the left door 3a or the right door 3b of the refrigerating chamber 3, characters recorded on the food material entering and exiting from the vegetable compartment 4 can be read. Further, by providing character reading device 10 on the upper surface of door 4a of vegetable compartment 4, characters written on the bottom surface of the food material entering and exiting from refrigerating compartment 3 can be read. In this case, since the character reading device 10 is provided outside the storage chamber, the possibility that the characters cannot be read due to dew condensation on the lens surface can be reduced.
Alternatively, the character reader 10 may be provided at a position projecting forward from the front opening. For example, the front end side of the door opener 9 and the top plate of the main body 2 may be projected forward from the front opening, and the character reader 10 may be provided at the projected portion. With this configuration, the characters of the food material entering and exiting the storage compartment can be read. Further, if the protruding portion is located forward of the front face of the door, not only the characters recorded in the food material entering and exiting the refrigerating chamber 3 but also the characters recorded in the food material entering and exiting the vegetable compartment 4, the small freezing compartment 6, or the large freezing compartment 7 can be read by 1 character reading device 10.
Although the character reading device 10 is provided near the center of the front opening in the embodiment, the character reading device 10 may be provided at a position that is the center of the door out of the upper side and the lower side of the front opening. For example, in the case of a french door such as the refrigerator 1 of the embodiment, the character reading device 10 may be provided near the center of the left door 3a and near the center of the right door 3 b. Thus, even when the food is stored by opening one door, the characters can be easily read without losing the visual field of the character reading device 10.
Although the embodiment employs a configuration in which the character reading device 10 is provided near the center of the front opening, a configuration may be employed in which the character reading device 10 is provided near the center of the left door 3a and near the center of the right door 3b of the french door, respectively. Thus, even when the food is stored and taken out by opening one door, the characters can be easily read without losing the visual field of the character reading device 10.
The embodiments are merely provided as examples, and do not limit the scope of the invention. These new embodiments may be implemented in various other forms, and various omissions, substitutions, and changes may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. The present embodiment and its modifications are included in the scope and spirit of the invention, and are included in the invention described in the scope of claims and the equivalent scope thereof.
