Abstract

A method for producing a bag, in which method edge regions of a two-layer precursor are welded to one another by means of a seam, characterized in that a sealing seam is formed in the edge regions, wherein a separating seam is introduced in the region of the sealing seam parallel to the course of the sealing seam.

Description

Separating seam in a sealing seam during the manufacture of a bag
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a bag.
Background
It is known from EP2361842B1 to produce a bag made of plastic material with a handle strip. In order to ensure the tightness of the bag in its edge region, both a separating seam and a sealing seam that is wider than the separating seam are introduced in the edge region. It is thereby ensured that handling of the finished bag after filling does not lead to tearing on the side edges if only one seam (separation seam or sealing seam) is present there.
In the prior art described there is for this purpose a separating seam in the edge region of the bag, which joins the two layers of masterbatch to one another. Since cracks can result if only one separating seam is present, a sealing seam is provided running parallel to the separating seam at a distance therefrom. Although the risk of cracking in the edge region of the pouch, in which the two layers of masterbatch are connected to one another, is significantly reduced by the two, in particular parallel-running, seams, the two seams require relatively wide edge strips, so that they can be produced at a distance from one another.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is therefore to improve a method for producing a bag and a bag produced according to the method, in particular to avoid material waste.
The object is achieved by the features of the two independent claims.
According to the invention, the two end regions of the bag to be connected to one another are connected to one another by a sealing seam. The sealing seam extends both on one bag and on the other bag lying next to it, which is made of the hose/master batch, wherein the two edge regions of the master batch are not yet connected to one another before the introduction of the sealing seam. However, each layer of masterbatch is continuous in the area to be separated. After the two layers of the master batch have been connected to one another by means of the sealing seam in the manner of overlapping bags, a separating seam is introduced which extends parallel to the sealing seam within the sealing seam in order to achieve a double welding in order to increase the tightness and at the same time to separate the bags which were still arranged next to one another or in succession until then and which have not been separated from one another. In general, therefore, not only a narrower strip is required in the edge region of the bag compared to the prior art, in order to significantly reduce the risk of crack formation and thus to significantly improve the sealing properties by introducing two seams. While the introduction of two seams is used to separate two bags from each other that have not been separated from each other prior to the introduction of the separation seam.
Furthermore, according to the invention, a bag is provided, which is produced according to the above-described method. Preferably, the bag consists of two layers of masterbatch, which are connected to one another in a suitable manner in the edge region. Such a connection may be only one seam, for example only one separation seam or only one sealing seam, in areas where there is no risk of cracks when handling the bag. At least in the region where there is a risk of crack formation during handling of the finished bag, both the sealing seam and a separating seam running parallel to the sealing seam within the sealing seam are provided.
Preferably, such a combination, which is formed by the sealing seam and the separating seam extending parallel to the sealing seam in the region of the sealing seam, extends over at least one entire edge region (for example the lateral region or the bottom) of the bag.
Drawings
One embodiment of such a bag is shown in fig. 1 and described below.
Detailed Description
A two-layer masterbatch 1 (here in the form of a hose) is used as a raw material for producing a plurality of bags. A sealing seam 2 (hatched) is introduced into the masterbatch 1 to form an edge region (e.g. bottom region) of the bag. Since the two layers of master batch 1 are connected to each other in the conveying direction TR, the edge region of the subsequent bag and the edge region of the subsequent other bag are closed. However, the one and the other bags have not been separated from each other. For this purpose, a separating seam 3 extending parallel to the sealing seam 2 is introduced after the introduction of the sealing seam in order to separate the one bag from the other bag. The separating seam 3 preferably extends exactly in the center of the narrow width of the sealing seam 2, although arrangements other than this are also conceivable. This step is repeated several times in succession one after the other, depending on the length of the hose-shaped master batch 1, with the master batch 1 being fed in the conveying direction TR, so that each individual bag is separated from the "continuous (infinite length)" master batch 1 by introducing a separating seam 3 each time the master batch 1 has been connected by a sealing seam 2. The ready-made bags can then be supplied for their intended use or processed further.
This way of creating the sealed edge region of the bag can be implemented in a two-layer masterbatch. The masterbatch may however also be embodied as three layers, four layers or even more than four layers. The four-layer embodiment can also be realized, for example, by folding (folding) two layers of the masterbatch.
A particularly preferred application of a bag manufactured of this type is that the bag is filled with food. The bag according to the invention has a particularly advantageous effect here, since it is particularly well sealed by the presence of the sealing seam 2 and the separating seam 3 and thus prevents: the food or parts thereof in the bag may spill out or disturbing, in particular health-harmful effects may reach the food from the outside due to crack formation. Furthermore, due to the separating seam 3 located in the region of the sealing seam 2, significantly less master batch 1 is required, so that less material is required for manufacturing the bag while improving the sealability. Fresh poultry meat is considered to be a particularly critical filling as it is still always secreting liquid which is not allowed to flow out of the bag after filling. Furthermore, the poultry meat is particularly susceptible to disturbances from the outside if cracks are present in the pocket, which cracks are effectively avoided according to the invention in addition to saving material.
