Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention more apparent, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, it will be appreciated by those of ordinary skill in the art that numerous technical details are set forth in order to provide a better understanding of the present application in various embodiments of the present invention. However, the technical solution claimed in the present application can be implemented without these technical details and various changes and modifications based on the following embodiments. The following embodiments are divided for convenience of description, and should not constitute any limitation to the specific implementation manner of the present invention, and the embodiments may be mutually incorporated and referred to without contradiction.
The first embodiment of the invention relates to a method for determining video playing code rate.
The method for determining the video playing code rate in this embodiment may be applied to the client, for example: mobile phones, computers, tablet PADs, etc.; the method can also be used for a server side of a video playing website, such as a server, and the like, and is not limited herein. The flow of the method for determining the video playing code rate in this embodiment is shown in fig. 1, which specifically includes the following steps:
in step 101, a subject identifier of a video is extracted based on the content of the video.
Specifically, the subject identifier of the video can be extracted from information of one or a combination of the following: the method comprises the following steps of video title, video classification label, video user comment, recognized face in the video and background music of the video.
Taking the title as an example, if the title of a video is "singing concert with zhang san", the name "zhang san" can be extracted from the video as the main body identifier of the video.
Taking background music of classified videos as an example, song names of the background music can be identified through a program for identifying songs by listening to the videos, one can directly use the identified song names as a main body identifier of the videos, and the other can further determine song authors according to the identified song names and use the song authors as the main body identifier of the videos.
At step 102, the popularity of the subject identification is evaluated.
In particular, popularity is used to characterize the degree to which subject identification is focused. More specifically, the hot index value of the subject identifier can be found on the third-party website, and the hot index value is used as the popularity.
Taking a third-party website as an example of "Baidu", the Baidu index is a hotspot index value disclosed in Baidu, and the Baidu index corresponding to the main body identifier can be obtained by searching on a home page of the "Baidu index" by using the main body identifier determined in step 101 as a keyword. And then, taking the searched hundredth index as the popularity of the subject identification.
In addition, besides the hundredth index provided by the hundredth, other third-party websites can provide hot spot index values, such as microblog popularity provided by microblogs and platform popularity provided by trembles. The hot index value of the third-party website can be obtained by comprehensively considering data such as occurrence times, forwarding and comments of the keywords. If the microblog popularity is calculated by the following formula:
the microblog popularity is 20% × ln (forwarding number +1) + 20% × ln (number of comments +1) + 25% × ln (number of original microblog forwarding number +1) + 25% × ln (number of original microblog comments +1) + 10% × ln (number of praise comments + 1);
for another example, the popularity of a trembler platform is calculated by the following formula:
the popularity of the tremble platform is {0.2 × ln (number of works + 100+1) +0.3 × 0.2 × ln (volume played/10 +1) +0.8 × ln (average volume played +1) +0.5 [0.4 × ln (number of comments +1) ] +0.45 × ln (number of comments +1) +0.15 × ln (number of shares +1) ] } 100;
according to the formula, the data source light of the third-party website has strong parameter comprehensiveness, the represented popularity is accurate, and the reference is strong.
And 103, determining the target code rate of the video according to the popularity of the main body identifier.
Specifically, the target bitrate can be determined according to a predetermined mapping relationship between popularity and bitrate.
If the preset code rate template includes A, B, C code rates from low to high, and three ranges of popularity corresponding to the code rate A, B, C are set, respectively greater than 100000, 2000-100000 and less than 2000, then when the popularity is determined to be 5000, the corresponding target code rate can be determined to be the code rate B according to the mapping relationship.
In addition, in practical application, the adjustment may be performed according to a preset video bitrate, for example, the correspondence between the preset popularity and the bitrate is in inverse proportion, that is, the higher the popularity is, the lower the corresponding target bitrate is, the lower the popularity is, and the higher the corresponding target bitrate is. In one example, a reference value of popularity may be predetermined, and after determining popularity in step 102, the popularity may be compared with the reference value, and if the popularity is smaller than the reference value, the bitrate may be increased according to the preset video bitrate, and the larger the difference between the detected value and the reference value is, the larger the bitrate increase amount is.
Therefore, in the embodiment, the subject identifier related to the video content is extracted, and the target bitrate suitable for the video is further determined according to the popularity of the subject identifier. The target code rate of the video is adaptively adjusted according to the popularity of the video content, so that the target code rate is adjusted by taking the video content and the popularity thereof as reference, and the method for adjusting the video playing code rate is enriched. Meanwhile, the extraction source of the main body identification is determined, so that the extraction process is simple, convenient and accurate. In addition, a popularity determination method is provided, and the popularity can be determined more accurately and objectively by means of the hotspot index of a third-party website, so that the finally determined code rate has higher practicability.
The second embodiment of the invention relates to a method for determining video playing code rate. The second embodiment is substantially the same as the first embodiment, and mainly differs therefrom in that: in the first embodiment, the target bitrate is determined by the mapping relationship between popularity and video bitrate. In the second embodiment of the present invention, the request amount in a future period of time is estimated according to the popularity, and the target bitrate is determined according to the request amount. Because the request quantity of the video is closely related to the popularity of the video content, the request quantity estimated by using the popularity is more accurate, so that the determined target code rate is suitable for the actual situation of the server side, and the network congestion caused by the sudden increase of the video request quantity of the server is avoided.
Fig. 2 shows a flowchart of a method for determining a video playback code rate in this embodiment, which includes the following steps:
step 201 and step 202 in this embodiment are similar to step 101 and step 102 in the first embodiment, and are not described again here.
And step 203, estimating the request amount of the video in the future preset time length on the platform to which the video belongs according to the popularity of the main body identifier.
Specifically, in this embodiment, the requested amount of the video in the future preset time duration on the platform to which the video belongs can be estimated in the manner shown in fig. 3:
step 2031, according to the popularity of the subject identifier, estimating the first popularity of the subject identifier in the future preset time length by a big data prediction algorithm.
Specifically, the popularity obtained in step 202 may be used as the historical popularity or the current popularity, and based on the popularity value, the trend within the future preset time duration is predicted through a big data prediction algorithm. The big data prediction algorithm may be, for example, an SVM (Support Vector Machine algorithm), a random forest, or the like. Taking the preset time length in the future as 1 hour in the future as an example, the popularity of 1 hour in the future can be obtained through a big data prediction algorithm and is marked as a first popularity.
At step 2032, the current requested amount of video associated with the subject identification on the platform is determined.
Specifically, the current request amount may be obtained from a video platform with a code rate to be determined, and each video corresponding to the subject identifier is obtained and then further accumulated.
Step 2033, determining the request amount of the video in the future preset time length according to the current popularity, the first popularity and the current request amount.
Specifically, based on the first popularity and the popularity obtained in step 202, the tendency coefficient Tx of the subject identifier in one hour in the future can be determined, and the calculation formula is as follows:
tx-future 1 hour prevalence/current prevalence;
the trend coefficient can also be understood as a variation trend, and the variation trend of the popularity and the variation trend of the video request amount are in positive correlation, so the variation trend of the video request amount can be estimated according to the trend coefficient of the popularity. Therefore, the requested amount of the video in the future preset time length can be determined according to the trend coefficient and the current requested amount.
In one example, a trend coefficient Tx of 1.2 is calculated, i.e., a change in popularity of 20% in the next hour is estimated to be a 20% increase in the amount of video requests in the next hour. If it is further determined that the current requested amount of video associated with the subject identifier on the platform is 10000, then the current requested amount of video associated with the subject identifier on the platform for one hour in the future can be estimated to be 10000 (1+ 20%) -12000.
And step 204, determining the target code rate of the video according to the request quantity of the video in the future preset time length.
Specifically, when the video request amount in a short time is too large, a server of a platform to which the video belongs may be paralyzed, and at the moment, the requested video cannot be viewed at a high probability at a client, so that the user experience is very poor, if the request amount can be predicted, the flow capacity which can be borne by the server side can be predicted in advance, and when the request amount cannot be borne, the video data with low code rate is actively reduced and the basic viewing experience of the user is ensured.
Further, the present embodiment determines the target bitrate of the video by using the method shown in fig. 4, and the specific process is as follows:
step 2041, calculating the required planned bandwidth based on the default code rate of the video according to the request amount.
Specifically, the required bandwidth is (Bx), x is a video list associated with the subject identifier on the platform in the past 1 hour, and the required bandwidth is calculated through the following formula;
(Bx)=A*m;
wherein, a is a request quantity of the video with the code rate to be determined obtained in step 203 within a preset time length in the future on the platform to which the video belongs, and m is a value of the default code rate of the video.
Step 2042, judging whether the available bandwidth of the first server of the platform where the video is located is greater than the planned bandwidth; if yes, go to step 2043; if not, go to step 2044.
Specifically, the available bandwidth indicates the bandwidth available to the server side for the video data distribution function, and a preset value can be given. In practical applications, the available bandwidth may also be obtained according to the current bandwidth data. The bandwidth usage condition of the server side probably includes the bandwidth occupied by the video in the video service and the bandwidth occupied by other services except the video service, and the bandwidth occupied by other services can be considered as basically unchanged because the video service in the server of the platform where the video is located occupies a larger bandwidth proportion.
More specifically, the step compares the actually obtained available bandwidth with the planned bandwidth calculated according to the estimated value, and the specific formula is as follows: planned bandwidth-total bandwidth-other traffic bandwidth.
Then, step 2043 or step 2044 is determined to be executed according to the size result of the comparison.
Step 2043, determine the target bitrate to be the default bitrate of the video.
Specifically, if the available bandwidth is larger than the planned bandwidth, the server is considered to be able to bear the subsequent video request amount, so the target bitrate can adopt the default bitrate originally set by the video.
Step 2044, determine the target code rate less than the default code rate.
Specifically, if the available bandwidth is less than or equal to the planned bandwidth, the server is considered to be unable to accept the subsequent video request amount, and the predetermined bitrate can be reduced, for example, a minimum value in a preset bitrate template is selected as the target bitrate.
In another example, the maximum bitrate that can be borne by the server (i.e. the first bitrate) can be calculated according to the available bandwidth, and the specific formula is as follows:
a first code rate is an available bandwidth/requested amount of the first server;
the requested amount is the requested amount determined in step 203.
And then, selecting a code rate value smaller than the first code rate as a target code rate according to a preset code rate template. If the first code rate is calculated to be 658kbps and the value smaller than the first code rate and closest to the first code rate in the code rate template is 600kbps, the target code rate is determined to be 600 kbps.
In addition to the above confirmation method, in practical applications, the first code rate may be directly confirmed as the target code rate, which is not limited herein.
As can be seen, the target bitrate of the video is determined in the above steps 203 and 204 according to the popularity of the subject identifier.
Therefore, in the embodiment, the request amount in a future period of time is estimated according to the popularity, and the target code rate is determined according to the request amount. Because the request quantity of the video is closely related to the popularity of the video content, the request quantity estimated by using the popularity is more accurate, so that the determined target code rate is suitable for the actual situation of the server side, and the network congestion caused by the sudden increase of the video request quantity of the server is avoided. Meanwhile, several modes for determining the target code rate are further provided, so that the implementation mode is more flexible and changeable, and in practical application, different setting modes can be selected according to requirements to meet different application requirements.
The third embodiment of the invention relates to a method for determining video playing code rate. The third embodiment is substantially the same as the first embodiment, and mainly differs therefrom in that: in the first embodiment, the popularity of the subject identifier is determined through the hot spot index value of the third-party website, and in the embodiment, the popularity of the subject identifier is determined according to the forwarding amount and the sharing amount of the video.
Specifically, when determining the popularity of the subject identifier, the videos associated with the subject identifier are searched first, and then the popularity of the subject identifier is determined according to the forwarding amount and the sharing amount of the searched videos. The specific determination mode may be set according to actual needs, for example, according to the following formula:
popularity is the amount shared by forwarding amount;
