An overflow device as claimed in claim 4, wherein the lower end of the sealing cylinder is provided with an outwardly extending sealing edge, the sealing edge is sealed with the water receiving box, the water receiving box comprises a body sealed with the wall of the outer cylinder and a box cover arranged at the lower end of the body, and the sealing edge is arranged between the body and the box cover.
10. A washing machine comprising an outer tub for containing washing water, characterized in that an overflow device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 9 is provided at the bottom of the outer tub.
