Abstract
The invention provides a pure polyester transparent powder coating and a preparation method thereof, wherein the pure polyester transparent powder coating comprises, by weight, 60-63 parts of carboxyl-terminated polyester resin, 30-35 parts of semi-crystalline polyester resin, 5-7 parts of triglycidyl isocyanurate, 10-25 parts of modified transparent filler, 0.1-2 parts of curing accelerator, 0.1-1 part of benzoin, 0.1-2 parts of hardening agent, 0.8-2 parts of flatting agent, 0.1-1 part of ultraviolet absorbent and 0.5-2 parts of toughening agent, wherein the modified transparent filler is modified aluminosilicate. The coating disclosed by the invention has the advantages of high leveling property, high transparency, high weather resistance and high corrosion resistance of a finishing coating, and meets the coating requirements of good attractiveness and durability of an aluminum hub coating.
Description
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of powder coatings, and particularly relates to a pure polyester transparent powder coating and a preparation method thereof.
Background
The powder coating is a solvent-free coating, and is widely applied to car finish and finishing paint due to the characteristics of no solvent, no toxicity, strong stereoscopic impression, good decorative effect and the like.
The aluminum hub is one of the key parts of the automobile, and the coating of the surface of the aluminum hub has a key influence on the aesthetic property and the durability of the aluminum hub. The aluminum wheel hub generally needs to be coated with three layers of powder coatings, wherein the first layer is a bottom layer powder coating which is coated on the bottom layer and used for corrosion prevention, namely wheel hub bottom powder; the second layer is a metal effect powder coating for decoration, namely metal powder; the third layer is a surface layer of the outermost surface which is coated with transparent powder coating, namely coated powder. Acrylic transparent powder coatings are widely used as aluminum hub coating powders due to their good appearance and weatherability. However, in practical applications, the refractive properties of the coating film formed by the acrylic transparent powder coating are not very good and the gloss is insufficient.
The polyester transparent powder coating is a powder coating with a higher refractive index compared with acrylic resin, but the coating formed by the current polyester transparent powder coating has poor transparency and leveling property, for example, the coating of the polyester transparent powder coating disclosed in CN108300177A and CN108034337A cannot reach the level of the acrylic transparent powder coating in transparency and leveling property, and cannot meet the coating requirements of an aluminum hub coating on good aesthetic property and durability.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims to solve the problem that the transparency and the leveling property of the existing polyester transparent powder coating can not reach the level of acrylic transparent powder coating, and provides a pure polyester transparent powder coating and a preparation method thereof.
The pure polyester transparent powder coating provided by the invention comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight:
the modified transparent filler is modified aluminosilicate.
Further, the modified aluminosilicate is obtained by reacting a silane coupling agent with aluminosilicate.
Further, the acid value of the carboxyl-terminated polyester resin is 30-36 mgKOH/g.
Further, the semi-crystalline polyester resin has an acid value of 30 to 36mgKOH/g, a crystallinity of 0 to 60%, a melting point of 100 to 130 ℃, a melt viscosity of 400 to 3000mPa.s at 200 ℃, and a number average molecular weight of 3000 to 7000.
Further, the curing accelerator is one of quaternary ammonium bromide salt and N-methyl sulfo-p-benzenesulfonamide.
Further, the hardening agent is one of micronized modified polypropylene wax and polyamide modified wax.
Further, the toughening agent is one of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and cellulose acetate butyrate.
The preparation method of the pure polyester transparent powder coating provided by the invention comprises the following steps:
(1) uniformly mixing and crushing carboxyl-terminated polyester resin, a curing agent, a modified transparent filler and a flatting agent, and then sequentially carrying out extrusion, compaction, cooling and coarse crushing to obtain a mixed material 1;
(2) and (2) uniformly mixing the semi-crystalline polyester resin, the curing accelerator, the hardening agent, the benzoin, the ultraviolet absorbent and the toughening agent with the mixed material 1, crushing, and then sequentially extruding, compacting, cooling, finely crushing and screening to obtain the pure polyester transparent powder coating.
Further, the particle size of the powder sieved in the step (2) is 25-35 μm.
The extrusion temperature in the steps (1) and (2) is 90-100 DEG C
Compared with the prior art, the carboxyl-terminated polyester resin and the low-viscosity semi-crystalline polyester resin are used as the matrix of the powder coating together, so that the excellent transparency and the excellent leveling property of the product are ensured; meanwhile, the modified transparent filler is added to improve the loose property of the powder coating, which is beneficial to further improving the leveling property of the polyester transparent powder coating.
In addition, the curing accelerator is added and is combined with triglycidyl isocyanurate, so that the initial reaction temperature of the material is reduced, the material can be cured at 170-180 ℃, the compactness of the coating is further improved, the corrosion resistance of the coating is improved, quaternary ammonium bromide salt is selected as the curing accelerator, the yellowing of the traditional imidazole accelerator can be avoided, and the color of the coating prepared from the polyester transparent powder coating can not be changed. And the weather resistance of the coating is improved by adding the ultraviolet absorber. The transparency and the anti-interference performance of the coating are improved by adding the leveling agent; the compactness, the adhesive force and the bending property of the coating are improved by adding the toughening agent; the hardness of the coating is increased by adding a hardening agent.
Detailed Description
The technical solution of the present invention is further illustrated by the following specific examples.
The invention provides a pure polyester transparent powder coating for automobile aluminum hub finish, which comprises the following raw materials in Table 1.

The carboxyl-terminated polyester resin in table 1 is made of super weather-resistant carboxyl-terminated polyester resin of type NH9307, which is produced by guangzhou Optimus materials science and technology ltd, and the acid value thereof is 30-36 mgKOH/g.
The semi-crystalline polyester resin is a polyester resin which is obtained by polymerizing polyol and polybasic acid under a certain catalyst and can partially form a crystalline phase and partially form an amorphous phase, and has higher glass transition temperature and lower melt viscosity compared with the traditional amorphous polyester resin. The semi-crystalline polyester resin is super-weather-resistant semi-crystalline polyester resin produced by Guangzhou Optimus Material science and technology Limited, the acid value of the semi-crystalline polyester resin is 30-36 mgKOH/g, the crystallinity is 0-60%, the melting point is 100-130 ℃, the melt viscosity at 200 ℃ is 400-3000 mPa.s, and the number average molecular weight is 3000-7000.
Triglycidyl isocyanurate is produced as sadian, and is used as a curing agent.
The modified transparent filler is a modified aluminosilicate crystal, and the modification method comprises the following steps: firstly, according to the mass ratio of absolute ethyl alcohol to distilled water of 9: 1, then adding a silane coupling agent accounting for 2 percent of the total amount of the transparent filler, stirring and mixing uniformly, then pouring into a three-neck bottle with the existing aluminosilicate crystal filler, stirring at a constant speed for 1 hour, then filtering, then drying at 100 ℃ for 1 hour, and cooling to room temperature.
The unmodified transparent filler is unmodified aluminosilicate crystals.
The curing accelerator is preferably quaternary ammonium bromide salt or N-methyl sulfo-p-benzenesulfonamide. Benzoin is a common auxiliary agent for commercial coatings, namely benzoin. The hardening agent is modified polypropylene wax or polyamide modified wax, preferably modified polypropylene wax, and specifically adopts micronized modified polypropylene wax Lancona PP 1632D produced by Lubrizol corporation. The leveling agent can be Powdermate 486CFL produced by TROY company. The ultraviolet absorbent is preferably benzotriazole ultraviolet absorbent, and specifically Tinuvin 1130 of BASF can be used. The toughening agent is preferably ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or cellulose acetate butyrate.
The preparation method of each pure polyester transparent powder coating comprises the following steps:
(1) the carboxyl-terminated polyester resin, the curing agent, the modified transparent filler and the flatting agent are uniformly mixed and crushed, and then the mixture is extruded, compacted, cooled and coarsely crushed in sequence to obtain a mixed material 1.
Specifically, the carboxyl-terminated polyester resin, triglycidyl isocyanurate, the modified transparent filler and the leveling agent are weighed according to the components in table 1, placed in a reaction container, fully mixed and crushed for 5-15 min to obtain a mixed premixed material a. And then feeding the mixed premixed material a into a double-screw extruder for extrusion, wherein the extrusion temperature in the first zone is 95-100 ℃, and the extrusion temperature in the second zone is 90-100 ℃. And tabletting, cooling and coarsely crushing the extruded material by a tabletting machine to obtain a mixed material 1.
(2) And (2) uniformly mixing the semi-crystalline polyester resin, the curing accelerator, the hardening agent, the benzoin, the ultraviolet absorbent and the toughening agent in the mixed material 1, crushing, and then sequentially extruding, compacting, cooling, finely crushing and screening to obtain the pure polyester transparent powder coating.
Specifically, weighing the semi-crystalline polyester resin, the curing accelerator, the hardening agent, the benzoin, the ultraviolet absorber and the toughening agent according to the components in the table 1, placing the semi-crystalline polyester resin, the curing accelerator, the hardening agent, the benzoin, the ultraviolet absorber and the toughening agent and the mixed material 1 in the step (1) into a reaction container, fully mixing and crushing for 5-15 min to obtain a mixed premixed material b. And then feeding the mixed premixed material b into a double-screw extruder for extrusion, wherein the extrusion temperature in the first zone is 95-100 ℃, and the extrusion temperature in the second zone is 90-100 ℃. And tabletting the extruded material by a tabletting machine, cooling, crushing and screening into powder with the particle size (equivalent particle size D50) of 25-35 mu m.
The properties of the pure polyester transparent powder coatings of examples 1 to 3 and comparative examples 1 to 3 were evaluated, and the results are shown in tables 2 and 3 below:

Table 2 reflects that the product of comparative example 1 without the semicrystalline polyester resin in the raw material showed a slight orange peel in appearance, whereas the product of example 1 showed no orange peel in appearance, was excellent in leveling, and was better in transparency than comparative example 1 after the semicrystalline polyester resin was added.
As can be seen from Table 3, the pure polyester transparent powder coating (comparative example 2) without any transparent filler is good in transparency, but low in hardness, and easy to agglomerate when the agglomeration property is in grade 2-3. On the other hand, when unmodified transparent filler was added (comparative example 3), the transparency of the pure polyester transparent powder coating was reduced, the hardness was increased, and the caking property was improved. After the modified transparent filler is added (example 1), the transparency of the pure polyester transparent powder coating is obviously better than that of the unmodified transparent filler, the hardness is higher, the caking property is reduced to 0-1 grade, and the dispersibility is excellent.
The pure polyester transparent powder coating of the above examples 1 to 3 and comparative examples 1 to 3 is applied to an aluminum wheel hub to form a coating, and the specific coating method comprises the following steps:
1) pretreating an aluminum hub: and (3) pretreating and drying the aluminum hub by adopting zinc phosphate or iron phosphate.
2) Coating: and (2) spraying pure polyester transparent powder coating onto the aluminum hub substrate by using a high-voltage electrostatic spray gun to form a covering layer with the thickness of 60-120 mu m on the surface of the aluminum hub substrate, and then curing for 10-20 min in a curing furnace at 180 ℃ to form a final coating.
The properties of the formed coating layers were evaluated and the results are shown in table 4.

As can be seen from Table 4, the coating prepared by using the pure polyester transparent powder coating of the invention has high leveling property, high transparency, high hardness, high weather resistance and high corrosion resistance of the finishing coating, can be well attached to the substrate of the aluminum hub without falling off, and can meet the coating requirements of good aesthetic property and durability of the aluminum hub coating. In contrast, in the case where the semi-crystalline polyester resin was not used (comparative example 1), the coating appeared slightly orange peel in appearance, and the transparency was poor and the aesthetic appearance was significantly reduced. In the case where the semi-crystalline polyester resin was added without using any filler (comparative example 2), although the appearance became flat and smooth and the transparency was improved, the hardness was extremely low and the durability of the aluminum hub coating layer was not satisfied. Meanwhile, even though the semi-crystalline polyester resin and the transparent filler were added (comparative example 3), the transparency and hardness of the final coating were far inferior to those of the coating using the modified transparent filler without modifying the transparent filler.
Compared with the prior art, the carboxyl-terminated polyester resin and the semi-crystalline polyester resin are combined in the raw materials of the pure polyester transparent powder coating, and the modified transparent filler is added, so that the powder coating has excellent flowability, and the coating prepared by using the modified powder coating has the advantages of flat and smooth surface, excellent transparency, high hardness, excellent weather resistance and corrosion resistance, and can better meet the coating requirements of good aesthetics and durability of the aluminum hub coating.
The above embodiments are preferred embodiments of the present invention, but the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and any other changes, modifications, substitutions, combinations, and simplifications which do not depart from the spirit and principle of the present invention should be construed as equivalents thereof, and all such changes, modifications, substitutions, combinations, and simplifications are intended to be included in the scope of the present invention.

8. A preparation method of pure polyester transparent powder coating is characterized by comprising the following steps: the raw material of the pure polyester transparent powder coating is as defined in any one of claims 1 to 7, and comprises the following steps:
(1) uniformly mixing and crushing carboxyl-terminated polyester resin, a curing agent, a modified transparent filler and a flatting agent, and then sequentially carrying out extrusion, compaction, cooling and coarse crushing to obtain a mixed material 1;
(2) and (2) uniformly mixing the semi-crystalline polyester resin, the curing accelerator, the hardening agent, the benzoin, the ultraviolet absorbent and the toughening agent with the mixed material 1, crushing, and then sequentially extruding, compacting, cooling, finely crushing and screening to obtain the pure polyester transparent powder coating.
9. The method of claim 8, wherein: the particle size of the powder sieved in the step (2) is 25-35 mu m.
