Abstract

本申请实施例提供一种寻呼方法和装置,该方法包括:终端设备根据终端设备标识,在不连续接收周期内确定终端设备的寻呼时机集合,寻呼时机集合包含至少两个寻呼时机;在寻呼时机集合包含的寻呼时机对应的时间范围内,接收寻呼消息。通过将一个不连续接收周期划分为多个寻呼时机集合,且一个寻呼时机集合包括至少两个寻呼时机,使得终端设备在一个不连续接收周期内确定了对应的寻呼时机集合后,可在寻呼时机集合包含的寻呼时机上进行寻呼消息接收。使得终端设备可在一个不连续接收周期内多次接收寻呼消息,提高了寻呼消息的传输速度。
