Detailed Description
Embodiments of a recording management apparatus and method, a computer program, and a system according to the present invention will be described.
(recording management device)
1. First record management device
The first record management device according to an embodiment includes: a first storage unit that stores association information relating to content information recorded on a recording medium in association with unique information unique to the recording medium; a first reading unit that reads code information associated with unique information presented on a surface of a recording medium; and a first output unit that outputs related information associated with unique information specified based on the read code information.
The recording medium targeted by the recording management apparatus has code information associated with the unique information of the recording medium presented on its surface. The first reading section reads code information of a surface of the recording medium without reproducing the recording medium. The first output unit outputs associated information associated with unique information specified based on the read code information. That is, the recording management apparatus can output the related information related to the recording medium without reproducing the recording medium.
In one aspect of the first recording management apparatus according to the embodiment, the code information is code information obtained by coding unique information, and the first output unit generates unique information associated with the read code information by decoding the read code information. According to this embodiment, the unique information of the recording medium can be determined relatively easily.
In another aspect of the first recording management apparatus according to the embodiment, the first storage unit includes an acquisition unit that acquires unique information recorded in the recording medium from an apparatus capable of reproducing the recording medium, and the first storage unit stores the related information in association with the unique information acquired by the acquisition unit. According to this aspect, when storing the related information, the recording management apparatus itself does not need to acquire the unique information from the recording medium, and therefore, this is very advantageous in practical use. In particular, when content information is recorded on a recording medium, since the related information is usually stored in association with the unique information of the recording medium, it is considered that the configuration does not increase the labor and time of the user.
In another embodiment of the first recording management apparatus according to the embodiment, the specific information is information unrelated to the content information. According to this aspect, the code information associated with the unique information can be given to the recording medium at the time of manufacturing the recording medium. "MediaID (media identification code)" is given as an example of such unique information.
2. Second recording management device
The second recording management device according to the embodiment includes: a second reading unit that reads code information that is presented on a surface of a recording medium and is associated with unique information unique to the recording medium; a second storage unit that stores unique information specified based on the read code information in association with position information indicating a position where the recording medium is stored; a reception unit capable of receiving an input from a user; and a second output unit that outputs the position information corresponding to the unique information when the unique information is input via the receiving unit.
The recording medium targeted by the recording management apparatus has code information associated with the unique information of the recording medium presented on its surface. The second reading section reads the code information of the surface of the recording medium without reproducing the recording medium. The second storage unit stores unique information specified based on the read code information in association with position information indicating a position where the recording medium is stored. That is, in the recording management apparatus, when the recording medium is stored, the unique information of the recording medium can be associated with the position information without reproducing the recording medium.
In one mode of the second recording management apparatus according to the embodiment, the second output unit further outputs the position information corresponding to the unique information specified based on the code information when the code information is read by the second reading unit. According to this configuration, for example, when the recording medium is placed at a position different from the set storage position for some reason, the recording medium can be relatively easily stored again at the original position based on the output position information.
(recording management method)
The recording management method according to the embodiment includes: a storage step of storing associated information related to content information recorded on a recording medium in association with unique information unique to the recording medium; a reading step of reading code information associated with unique information presented on a surface of a recording medium; and an output step of outputting associated information associated with the unique information specified based on the read code information.
According to this recording management method, as in the first recording management apparatus according to the above-described embodiment, the related information relating to the recording medium can be output without reproducing the recording medium. In the recording management method, various configurations similar to those of the recording management apparatus according to the first embodiment described above may be adopted.
(computer program)
The computer program according to the embodiment causes a computer to function as: a storage unit that stores association information related to content information recorded on a recording medium in association with unique information unique to the recording medium; a reading unit that reads code information associated with unique information presented on a surface of a recording medium; and an output unit that outputs associated information associated with the unique information specified based on the read code information.
The first record management apparatus according to the above-described embodiment can be realized by causing a computer to execute the computer program. As a result, according to the computer program, the related information relating to the recording medium can be output without reproducing the recording medium, as in the first recording management apparatus according to the above-described embodiment.
(recording Medium)
The computer program according to the above-described embodiment is recorded in a recording medium according to the embodiment. The first recording management apparatus according to the above-described embodiment can be realized by causing a computer to Read and execute the recording medium, for example, a CD-ROM (Compact Disc Read Only Memory), a DVD-ROM (DVD Read Only Memory), or the like, on which the computer program according to the above-described embodiment is recorded. As a result, according to the recording medium, the related information relating to the recording medium can be output without reproducing the recording medium, as in the first recording management apparatus according to the above-described embodiment.
[ examples ]
An embodiment of a recording management apparatus of the present invention is explained based on the drawings. In the following embodiments, an optical disc is given as an example of the recording medium.
< first embodiment >
A first embodiment of a recording management apparatus of the present invention is explained with reference to fig. 1 to 5.
(optical disk)
First, an optical disc targeted for the recording management apparatus according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to fig. 1. Fig. 1 is a diagram showing an optical disc according to a first embodiment.
In fig. 1, a two-dimensional barcode 11 as an example of "code information" is displayed on a non-recording surface (i.e., a label surface) (see fig. 1(a)) of an optical disc 1, and the two-dimensional barcode 11 is obtained by encoding a MediaID unique to the optical disc 1. The MediaID is the same as the MediaID recorded in the BCA (Barst Cutting Area) 12 of the recording surface (see fig. 1 b) of the optical disc 1.
Typically, the two-dimensional barcode 11 is printed on the non-recording surface of the optical disc 1 at the time of manufacturing the optical disc 1. The two-dimensional barcode 11 may be displayed on the non-recording surface of the optical disc 1 by a processing method other than printing.
(recording management device)
Next, the overall configuration of a system including the recording management apparatus according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to fig. 2. Fig. 2 is a diagram showing an outline of a system according to the first embodiment.
In fig. 2, the system according to the present embodiment includes a host system 20 as an example of a "recording management apparatus", an ODD (Optical Disc Drive) 30, and a database 40. The host system 20 and the ODD30 are typically connected by wire, such as SATA, USB, or the like, but may also be connected via a Network such as a wired or wireless LAN (Local Area Network). The database 40 is typically connected to the host system 20 via a network, and is an external device such as a server or a network hard disk. The database 40 may be built into the host system 20, and may be an external device generally called a cloud.
In this system, content data such as photos and moving pictures recorded in the host system 20 is transmitted to the ODD30, and in the ODD30, the transmitted content data is recorded in the optical disc 1. When recording content data on the optical disc 1, the ODD30 reads the MediaID recorded in the BCA12 of the optical disc 1, and transmits the read MediaID to the host system 20. The host system 20 stores data related information such as thumbnail images of photographs, shooting dates and times, shooting places, and the like, associated with the content data transmitted to the ODD30, in the database 40 in association with mediaids.
Details of the host system
Here, details of the host system 20 will be described with reference to fig. 3 to 5. Fig. 3 is a diagram showing the configuration of a host system according to the first embodiment.
In fig. 3, the host system 20 includes a reading unit 21, a display unit 22, an input unit 23, a storage unit 24, a control unit 25, and a communication unit 26. The reading unit 21 is configured to be able to read the recording content (MediaID in this case) of the two-dimensional barcode 11. The input unit 23 is configured to be able to receive an input from a user of the host system 20. The input unit 23 may be configured as a touch panel (i.e., integrated with the display unit 22). The storage unit 24, which is, for example, a hard disk or a nonvolatile memory, stores various data including content data.
The control unit 25 includes a setting unit 251, a storage unit 252, and an output unit 253 as a processing block logically implemented or a processing circuit physically implemented therein. The setting unit 251 sets data-related information associated with the content data. The storage unit 252 stores (registers) the data-related information in the database 40 in association with the MediaID. The output unit 253 extracts (retrieves) data-related information associated with mediaids from the database 40, and outputs the extracted data-related information to the display unit 22.
When stored
The operation of the host system 20 when storing the data-related information will be described with reference to the flowchart of fig. 4.
In fig. 4, after the optical disc 1 for recording content data is inserted into the ODD30, the control unit 25 of the host system 20 acquires the MediaID recorded in the BCA12 of the optical disc 1 read out by the ODD30 via the communication unit 26 (step S111).
Next, the control unit 25 transmits, among the content data stored in the storage unit 24, the content data selected by the user via the input unit 23 and an instruction to record the selected content data on the optical disc 1, to the ODD30 via the communication unit 26. As a result, the content data is recorded on the optical disc 1. (step S112).
In parallel with the processing of step S112, the setting unit 251 sets (generates) data-related information associated with the selected content data (step S113). The setting unit 251 may set (generate) data-related information associated with the stored content data when the content data is stored in the storage unit 24, and extract data-related information associated with the selected content data when the content data recorded on the optical disc 1 is selected.
Next, the storage unit 252 stores (registers) the MediaID acquired in the processing of step S111 in the database 40 in association with the data-related information set in the processing of step S113 (step S114).
When outputting
The operation of the host system 20 when confirming the content data recorded on the optical disc 1 will be described with reference to the flowchart of fig. 5.
In fig. 5, after the two-dimensional barcode 11 of the optical disc 1 is read by, for example, a camera or the like (not shown) (step S121), the reading unit 21 decodes the two-dimensional barcode 11 to generate MediaID, and acquires the MediaID (step S122).
Next, the output unit 253 accesses the database 40 via the communication unit 26 (step S123), and acquires data-related information corresponding to the acquired MediaID (step S124). Then, the output unit 253 displays the acquired data-related information on the display unit 22 (step S125).
(Effect of the technology)
According to the present embodiment, when the two-dimensional barcode 11 of the optical disc 1 is read, the data-related information related to the content data recorded on the optical disc 1 is displayed on the display unit 22. Therefore, the user of the host system 20 can confirm the recorded content of the optical disc 1 without inserting the optical disc 1 into the ODD 30.
< modification example >
When content data is recorded on the optical disc 1, the MediaID may be acquired from the two-dimensional barcode 11 on the optical disc 1 by the reading unit 21 of the host system 20 before the optical disc 1 is inserted into the ODD30, instead of reading the MediaID from the BCA12 on the optical disc 1 by the ODD 30.
Instead of the two-dimensional barcode 11, a one-dimensional barcode encoding MediaID may be given to the optical disc 1.
< application example >
When the ODD30 is caused to reproduce the optical disc 1 on which the content data is recorded, first, the reading unit 21 of the host system 20 is caused to acquire the MediaID from the two-dimensional barcode 11 of the optical disc 1. Thereafter, the optical disc 1 is inserted into the ODD30 to be played back. The host system 20 issues an instruction to the ODD30 to indicate the playback, and the host system itself grasps the playback position.
When the user of the host system 20 inputs, for example, a comment or the like via the input unit 23 while viewing the content data recorded on the optical disk 1 reproduced by the ODD30, the setting unit 251 sets new data-related information in association with the input comment or the like and the reproduction position grasped by the host system itself. The storage unit 252 stores the set new data-related information in the database 40 in association with the MediaID, thereby updating the data-related information associated with the MediaID.
With such a configuration, the data-related information can be added and updated relatively easily.
< second embodiment >
A second embodiment of the recording management apparatus is explained with reference to fig. 6 to 8. The second embodiment is the same as the first embodiment described above except that information indicating the storage location of the optical disc 1 is stored in the database 40 in association with the MediaID of the optical disc 1. Therefore, with regard to the second embodiment, the description overlapping with the first embodiment is appropriately omitted, and the same reference numerals are given to common parts on the drawings, and only different points are basically described with reference to fig. 6 to 8.
(recording management device)
The overall configuration of a system including the recording management apparatus according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to fig. 6. Fig. 6 is a diagram showing an outline of a system according to the second embodiment.
In fig. 6, the system according to the present embodiment includes a host system 20, an ODD30, and a database 40. The system further includes a transport mechanism for transporting the optical disk 1 between the ODD30 and the storage (storage 1, 2, …). Since various conventional techniques can be applied to the transfer machine, detailed description thereof will be omitted.
The operation of the system when recording content data on the optical disc 1 is the same as that of the system according to the first embodiment described above. Next, when the optical disc 1 on which the content data is recorded is stored, the host system 20 acquires the MediaID of the optical disc 1 from the two-dimensional barcode 11 of the optical disc 1, and stores storage location information indicating the storage location of the optical disc 1 designated by the user of the host system 20 in the database 40 in association with the MediaID. As a result, the database 40 stores (registers) the MediaID, the data-related information, and the storage location information of the optical disc 1. The host system 20 also controls the transfer mechanism to transfer the optical disc 1 to a custody place designated by the user.
The host system when recording content data on the optical disc 1 and the host system when storing the optical disc 1 in the storage may be different from each other.
Details of the host system
While in storage
The operation of the host system 20 when storing the optical disc 1 will be described with reference to the flowchart of fig. 7.
In fig. 7, after the two-dimensional barcode 11 of the optical disc 1 is read by, for example, a camera or the like (not shown), the reading unit 21 decodes the two-dimensional barcode 11 to generate MediaID, and acquires the MediaID (step S211). Next, the control unit 25 controls the transfer mechanism to transfer the optical disk 1 to the storage location designated by the user via the input unit 23. As a result, the optical disc 1 is stored in a predetermined storage location. (step S212).
In parallel with the process of step S212, the storage unit 252 stores the MediaID acquired in the process of step S211 in the database 40 in association with storage location information indicating a storage location designated by the user (step S213).
When taken out
The operation of the host system 20 when an optical disc is removed from the storage will be described with reference to the flowchart of fig. 8. As described above, the database 40 stores mediaids, data-related information, and storage location information in association with each other. Therefore, the storage location of the optical disc 1 can be specified from the MediaID or the data-related information.
In fig. 8, the control section 25 determines whether or not MediaID is designated via the input section 23 (step S221). If it is determined that MediaID is designated in this determination (yes in step S221), the process of step S224 described later is performed.
On the other hand, when it is determined in the determination of step S221 that the MediaID is not designated, the control section 25 determines whether or not at least a part (for example, a keyword, date and time, and the like) of the data-related information is designated via the input section 23 (step S222).
If it is determined in the determination of step S222 that at least a part of the data-related information is not designated (no in step S222), the determination of step S221 is performed again. On the other hand, when it is determined in the determination of step S222 that at least a part of the data-related information is designated (yes in step S222), the control unit 25 accesses the database 40 via the communication unit 26, and specifies the MediaID associated with the designated at least a part of the data-related information (step S223).
When a part of the data-related information is specified by the user, a plurality of mediaids may be specified. In this case, for example, the display unit 22 may be configured to display a plurality of specified mediaids and a plurality of pieces of data-related information corresponding to the plurality of mediaids.
Next, the control unit 25 accesses the database 40 via the communication unit 26, and acquires storage location information associated with the designated or specified MediaID (step S224). Next, the control section 25 controls the transfer mechanism to take out the optical disc 1 of the specified or specified MediaID from the storage location indicated by the storage location information and insert it into the ODD30 (step S225). After the optical disc 1 is inserted into the ODD30, the control section 25 controls the ODD30 via the communication section 26 to play back the optical disc 1 (step S226).
When it is stored again
When the optical disc 1 needs to be stored again due to an unexpected situation such as an earthquake, the optical disc 1 can be stored in the original storage location as follows. That is, when the host system 20 is caused to read the two-dimensional barcode 11 of the optical disc 1, the control unit 25 of the host system 20 accesses the database 40 via the communication unit 26, and acquires storage location information associated with the MediaID acquired from the two-dimensional barcode 11. The control unit 25 displays the storage location indicated by the acquired storage location information on the display unit 22. When the user refers to the storage location displayed on the display unit 22, the optical disc 1 can be stored in the original storage location.
(Effect of the technology)
According to the present embodiment, the optical disc 1 can be stored relatively easily, and the optical disc 1 can be taken out from the storage place relatively easily. In addition, after the optical disk 1 is temporarily stored, the storage location of the optical disk 1 can be displayed on the display unit 22 by reading the two-dimensional barcode 11 of the optical disk 1.
< third embodiment >
A third embodiment of the recording management apparatus is explained with reference to fig. 9 to 11. In the third embodiment, the same as the first embodiment described above is performed except that an apparatus for recording content data to the optical disc 1 and an apparatus for displaying data-related information are different. Therefore, with regard to the third embodiment, the description overlapping with the first embodiment is appropriately omitted, and the same reference numerals are given to common parts on the drawings, and only different points are basically described with reference to fig. 9 to 11.
(recording management device)
The overall configuration of a system including the recording management apparatus according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to fig. 9. Fig. 9 is a diagram showing an outline of a system according to the third embodiment.
In fig. 9, the system according to the present embodiment includes a host system 20a, an ODD30, and a database 40 owned by a music distribution service company, and a terminal device 20b owned by a user, for example, a smartphone, a tablet computer, a personal computer, or the like. The "host system 20 a" and the "terminal device 20 b" are examples of the "recording management device", and have the same configuration as the host system 20 described above.
When recording music (i.e., content data) desired by the user on the optical disc 1, the host system 20a of the music distribution service stores the MediaID acquired from the BCA12 of the optical disc 1 in the database 40 in association with music-related information (corresponding to the data-related information) associated with the music desired by the user. When a user who acquires the optical disk 1 on which music is recorded causes the terminal device 20b to read the two-dimensional barcode 11 of the optical disk 1, the terminal device 20b accesses the database 40, acquires music related information associated with MediaID acquired from the two-dimensional barcode 11, and displays the acquired music related information. The user information is used for authentication when the terminal device 20b accesses the database 40.
Actions of host System 20a
The operation of the host system 20a will be described with reference to the flowchart of fig. 10. Here, it is assumed that information on a musical composition desired by the user is input to the host system 20a in advance. The information on the music desired by the user may be input to the host system 20a by the user transmitting the information to the host system 20b using the terminal device 20b, or may be input to the host system 20a by a staff member of a music distribution service company that has acquired the information on the music desired by the user.
In fig. 10, after the optical disc 1 for music recording is inserted into the ODD30, the control unit 25 of the host system 20a acquires the MediaID recorded in the BCA12 of the optical disc 1 read out by the ODD30 via the communication unit 26 (step S311).
Next, the control unit 25 transmits data on a music piece desired by the user among music pieces stored in the storage unit 24 or an external storage device (not shown) and an instruction to record the desired music piece on the optical disc 1 to the ODD30 via the communication unit 26. As a result, music is recorded on the optical disc 1. (step S312).
In parallel with the processing of step S312, the setting unit 251 sets (generates) music related information (e.g., lyrics, artist information, etc.) associated with a music desired by the user (step S313).
Next, the storage unit 252 stores (registers) the MediaID acquired in the processing of step S311, the music related information set in the processing of step S313, and the user information in the database 40 in association with each other (step S314). The user information is typically included in information relating to a music piece desired by the user, and the storage unit 252 acquires the user information from the information.
Operation of terminal device 20b
The operation of the terminal device 20b will be described with reference to the flowchart of fig. 11.
In fig. 11, after the two-dimensional barcode 11 of the optical disc 1 is read by, for example, a camera or the like (not shown) (step S321), the reading unit 21 of the terminal device 20b decodes the two-dimensional barcode 11 to generate a MediaID, and acquires the MediaID (step S322).
Next, the control unit 25 transmits the MediaID and the user information acquired in the processing of step S322 to the database 40 via the communication unit 26 (step S323). The user information may be input by the user by, for example, displaying an input field when transmitting the MediaID to the host system 20a, or may be stored in the storage unit 24 of the terminal device 20b in advance.
If the authentication using the MediaID and the user information is successful in the database 40, the terminal device 20b can access the database 40. After the access to the database 40 is enabled, the output unit 253 of the terminal device 20b accesses the database 40 via the communication unit 26, acquires the music related information corresponding to the MediaID (step S324), and displays the acquired music related information on the display unit 22.
(Effect of the technology)
According to the present embodiment, when the two-dimensional barcode 11 of the optical disk 1 is read, the music-related information associated with the music recorded on the optical disk 1 is displayed on the display unit 22. This is expected to increase the enjoyment of listening to music by the user of the terminal device 20 b.
< fourth embodiment >
A fourth embodiment of the recording management apparatus will be explained with reference to fig. 12 to 14. In the fourth embodiment, the same as the first embodiment described above is performed except that a plurality of optical disks 1 are handled as one set. Therefore, with regard to the fourth embodiment, the description overlapping with the first embodiment is appropriately omitted, and the same reference numerals are given to common parts on the drawings, and only different points are basically described with reference to fig. 12 to 14.
(recording management device)
The overall configuration of a system including the recording management apparatus according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to fig. 12. Fig. 12 is a diagram showing an outline of a system according to the fourth embodiment.
In fig. 12, the system according to the present embodiment includes a host system 20, a plurality of ODDs 30, and a database 40. In the system according to the present embodiment, a plurality of optical discs 1 (for example, 12 optical discs 1) are handled as a set.
By inserting a plurality of optical Disks 1 into the corresponding ODDs 30, respectively, RAID (Redundant array of Independent Disks) using the optical Disks 1 is realized. Therefore, when the corresponding ODD30 is inserted into each of the plurality of optical disks 1, the plurality of optical disks 1 operate as a virtual 1-piece optical disk. The plurality of optical disks 1 taken out from the ODD30 are stored in a magazine (magazine) for each set.
Details of the host system
When recording data
The operation of the host system 20 when recording data on the optical disc 1 will be described with reference to the flowchart of fig. 13.
In fig. 13, after each of the plurality of optical disks 1 is inserted into the corresponding ODD30, the control unit 25 of the host system 20 acquires the MediaID recorded in the BCA12 of each optical disk 1 read out by each ODD30 (step S411).
Next, the control unit 25 transmits, to at least one ODD30 of the plurality of ODDs 30, the content data selected by the user via the input unit 23 among the content data stored in the storage unit 24, and an instruction to record the selected content data on an optical disk (here, a virtual 1-piece optical disk). As a result, the content data is recorded on the optical disc. (step S412)
In parallel with the processing of step S412, the setting unit 251 sets (generates) data-related information associated with the selected content data (step S413). Next, the storage unit 252 stores (registers) the plurality of mediaids (i.e., a set of mediaids) acquired in the processing of step S411 in the database 40 in association with the data-related information set in the processing of step S413 (step S414).
Combination discrimination
However, in a state where one set of optical disks 1 is stored in a cassette, for example, in a state where one or more optical disks 1 are taken out from a plurality of cassettes, it is unclear which combination (or which cassette) the optical disk 1 taken out belongs to. Therefore, in the present embodiment, the combination of the optical discs 1 can be determined by the processing shown in the flowchart of fig. 14.
In fig. 14, after the two-dimensional barcode 11 of the optical disc 1 taken out from the cartridge is read by, for example, a camera (not shown) (step S421), the reading unit 21 of the host system 20 decodes the two-dimensional barcode 11 to generate MediaID, and acquires the MediaID (step S422).
Next, the output unit 253 accesses the database 40 via the communication unit 26 (step S423), acquires a set of mediaids including the acquired mediaids, and determines the combination to which the optical disc 1 from which the two-dimensional barcode 11 has been read belongs (step S424). At this time, the output unit 253 displays the determination result on the display unit 22.
(Effect of the technology)
According to the present embodiment, RAID can be realized by processing a plurality of optical disks 1 as a set. In addition, according to the present embodiment, the combination to which the optical disc 1 belongs can be discriminated by reading the two-dimensional barcode 11 of the optical disc 1.
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and can be appropriately modified within a range not departing from the gist or idea of the invention understood from the scope of claims and the entire specification, and a recording management apparatus and method, a computer program, and a recording medium that are associated with such modifications are also included in the technical scope of the present invention.
