Detailed Description
Fig. 2 is a partial schematic view of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the invention. Referring to fig. 2, the electronic device 200 includes a housing 210, a carrier 220, a waterproof seal 230, a light source 240, and a light guide element 250. The housing 210 has an opening 212, and the carrier 220 is disposed in the housing 210. The waterproof sticker 230 is disposed on the carrier 220, and the light source 240 is disposed in the housing 210 and located at one side of the waterproof sticker 230. The light guide element 250 is disposed on one side of the carrier 220 where the waterproof sticker 230 is disposed (i.e., above the waterproof sticker 230), and has an incident end 252 and an exit end 254, wherein the incident end 252 is disposed adjacent to the light source 240 and the exit end 254 is disposed adjacent to the opening 212. When the light source 240 emits light, the incident end 252 receives and guides the light emitted by the light source 240 to irradiate the waterproof sticker 230 and then reflect the light to generate reflected light, and the light guide element 240 guides the reflected light to pass through the exit end 254, so that the reflected light passing through the waterproof sticker 230 is displayed on the opening 212. In short, since the reflected light generated after the light is irradiated to the waterproof sticker 230 shows the color of the waterproof sticker 230, a person can easily determine the color of the waterproof sticker 230 through the visual opening 212.
The electronic device 200 of the embodiment may be a smart phone, a tablet or a notebook computer, and the carrier 220 may be a circuit board or a board that is disposed additionally and has no circuit disposed thereon, and is not limited to the circuit board. The light source 240 is a light emitting diode, and the light guide element 250 can be a light guide column 251, wherein the light guide column 251 can be a lens, and the shape thereof can be substantially V-shaped or changed according to actual requirements. The exit end 254 of the light guide column 251 can extend to the opening 212, and the light guide column 251 is coated with a light-impermeable film 260 to prevent light leakage during the transmission process of light in the light guide column 251. It should be noted that the opaque film 260 exposes the surface 252a of the light guide column 251 for receiving the light source 240 at the incident end 252, the surface 254a of the light exit end 254 for emitting light, and the position corresponding to the waterproof seal 230. In addition, the surface 254a of the exit end 254 exposed to the housing 210 may have a pattern, such as a frosted texture on the surface 254a, to make the light exiting from the surface 254a more uniform.
Referring to fig. 2, the waterproof sticker 230 has two layers, wherein the waterproof sticker 230 shows a first color toward the first layer 232 of the light guide column 251 and a second color toward the second layer 234 closely connected to the carrier 220 when the waterproof sticker 230 is dry. When the electronic device 200 needs to be serviced, the service person can determine whether the electronic device 200 has been filled with water by observing the color of the emitted light from the exit end 254 through the opening 212.
Specifically, in the case where water is not entering the electronic device 200, light emitted from the light source 240 enters the light guide column 251 through the surface 252a of the entrance end 252 of the light guide column 251 (the light guide element 250), and is guided by the light guide column 251 to irradiate the waterproof sticker 230 and then reflected light is generated, the light guide column 251 guides the reflected light to pass through the exit end 254 to display the color of the waterproof sticker 230 on the opening 212, and at this time, since the waterproof sticker 230 is not wetted, the reflected light irradiated to the waterproof sticker 230 and reflected from the waterproof sticker 230 is in the first color, and is guided by the light guide column 251 to exit from the surface 254a of the exit end 254, wherein more uniform light can be emitted due to the texture pattern of the surface 254 a.
As described above, the maintenance personnel can simply determine that the electronic device 200 is not affected by moisture by the first color reflected light emitted from the surface 254a of the emitting end 254 of the light guide column 251 disposed at the opening 212, and then decide whether to disassemble the housing 210 of the electronic device 200 for maintenance according to the maintenance requirement.
Fig. 3 is a schematic view illustrating a change of the waterproof sticker after the electronic device of fig. 2 is affected with moisture. Referring to fig. 3, when water or moisture permeates into the interior of the housing 210 of the electronic device 200, the first layer 232 of the waterproof sticker 230 becomes transparent under the influence of the humid environment, so that the light emitted from the light source 240 penetrates the first layer 232 of the waterproof sticker 230 to irradiate the waterproof sticker 230 and reflect, the reflected light shows the color of the second layer 234 (i.e., the second color), and the reflected light showing the second color is guided by the light guide element 250 to exit from the surface 254a of the exit end 254.
Therefore, the maintenance personnel can directly and visually judge that the electronic device 200 is affected with damp by the reflected light of the second color emitted from the surface 254a of the emitting end 254 of the light guide element 250 (the light guide column 251) disposed at the opening 212, and then disassemble the housing 210 of the electronic device 200 for maintenance according to the maintenance requirement.
In other embodiments, the light guide element 250 may be implemented in other forms. For example, the light guide element 250 may be a light guide 253.
The following embodiments are described in terms of the light guide element 250 being a light guide 253. This embodiment is substantially the same as the previous embodiment, and the same or similar elements are denoted by the same or similar reference numerals. In addition, for the sake of brevity of description, descriptions of the same parts will not be repeated.
Fig. 4 is a schematic diagram of a light guide cover selected as a light guide element in an electronic device, and fig. 5 is a schematic diagram of a change of a waterproof sticker after being wetted. Referring to fig. 4 and 5, in the electronic device 200a of the present embodiment, the light guide cover 253 is used as the light guide element 250, and the light guide cover 253 also has an incident end 252 disposed corresponding to the light source 240 and an exit end 254 disposed corresponding to the opening 212, wherein the light guide cover 253 covers the waterproof seal 230 from above the waterproof seal 230, and wherein the outer surface of the light guide cover 253 can be coated with a light-impermeable film 260 or a dark black coating to achieve the effect of preventing light leakage. Of course, the light guide cover 253 may be directly made of a material having no light transmittance.
Since the light guide cover 253 covers the waterproof sticker 230 from above the waterproof sticker 230, when the electronic device 200 is soaked in water, water or moisture may be difficult to permeate from above the waterproof sticker 230, and in order to prevent the waterproof sticker 230 from failing to achieve its effect due to the clamping between the carrier 220 and the light guide cover 253, the carrier 220 may be further provided with the opening 222, and the waterproof sticker 230 covers the opening 222. As a result, water or moisture may penetrate the waterproof sticker 230 through the opening 222 from the side of the carrier plate 220 where the waterproof sticker 230 is not disposed, and the waterproof sticker 230 is wet, so the first layer 232 of the waterproof sticker 230 becomes transparent, and light irradiated onto the waterproof sticker 230 is reflected to show the second color of the second layer 234.
Incidentally, in order to improve the light emitting efficiency, the electronic device 200a may further include a lens 255 disposed above the waterproof sticker 230 and inserted into the opening 212 through the exit end 254, wherein the lens 255 is used for collecting and guiding the reflected light reflected by the waterproof sticker 230 to exit from the opening 212 of the housing 210.
Incidentally, the end of the lens 255 relatively far away from the waterproof seal 230 in the present embodiment is the same as the exit end 254 of the light guide column 251 in the previous embodiment, and is disposed at the opening 212 of the housing 210, and the surface 255a for exiting the reflected light may have a pattern of texture, so as to facilitate the reflected light to exit uniformly.
As described above, the maintenance personnel can simply determine whether the electronic device 200a is wet through the color of the light emitted from the opening 212 without disassembling the housing 210.
In summary, the electronic device of the present invention has the opening disposed on the housing, and the light source and the light guide element are disposed to irradiate the waterproof sticker with light and then reflect the light to emit light from the opening, so that the maintenance personnel can directly determine whether the waterproof sticker changes color without disassembling the device to deduce whether the electronic device has been soaked. Compared with the prior art that the electronic device can be confirmed whether water seeps through the electronic device through the state of the waterproof sticker only by disassembling the electronic device, the electronic device has more maintenance convenience.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the above embodiments, it should be understood that various changes and modifications can be made therein by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
