Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present application, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present application, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present application.
In the related art, an operation and maintenance person sequentially records a cabinet where each server is located and hardware information of each server, and inputs the recorded information to a management device. The operation and maintenance personnel manually collect the relevant information of the server, the operation is complex, and the efficiency of operation and maintenance of the server can be reduced.
In order to solve the above problem, embodiments of the present application provide a server management method, which may be applied to a server management system.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a server management scenario provided in an embodiment of the present application, where the scenario includes a server management system, and the server management system may include a management device 101, a first communication device 102, and a second communication device 103, where the first communication device 102 is installed in a cabinet 104, and the second communication device 103 is integrated in a server 105.
When the server 105 is set up in the cabinet 104, the second communication device 103 sends the hardware information of the server 105 to the first communication device 102, the first communication device 102 receives the hardware information of the server 105 and sends the hardware information of the server 105 to the management device 101, and the management device 101 obtains the hardware information of the server 105 and records the unique identifier of the cabinet (i.e., the cabinet 104) where the hardware information of the server 105 corresponds to the server 105.
Based on the above processing, the first communication device 102 in the cabinet 104 may obtain the hardware information of the server 105 from the second communication device 103 integrated in the server 105 that has been on shelf, and send the hardware information to the management device 101, and in addition, the management device 101 may also determine the cabinet where the server 105 that has been on shelf is located.
Referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a flowchart of a server management method provided in an embodiment of the present application, where the method may be applied to a server management system, where the server management system includes a management device, a first communication device and a second communication device, the first communication device is installed in a cabinet, and the second communication device is integrated in a server, and the method may include the following steps:
s201: when the server is put on the shelf in the cabinet, the second communication equipment sends the hardware information of the server to the first communication equipment.
The operation and maintenance personnel can place the server in different cabinets according to the service requirements, power is supplied to the server, and the server is in an on-shelf state at the moment.
In this embodiment of the present application, when an operation and maintenance person places a server in a cabinet and powers on the server, a communication device (i.e., a second communication device in this embodiment of the present application) integrated in the server may obtain hardware information of the server, and send the hardware information of the server to a communication device (i.e., a first communication device in this embodiment of the present application) installed in the cabinet. The hardware information of the server may be written in the second communication device in advance, or the second communication device may also obtain the hardware information of the server from other modules in the server.
It will be appreciated that when an operation and maintenance person places a server in a cabinet, the second communication device in the server is able to communicate data with the first communication device in the cabinet.
In one implementation manner, when an operation and maintenance person places a server in a cabinet, the operation and maintenance person may further connect a second communication device in the server with a first communication device in the cabinet, and further, the second communication device in the server may send hardware information of the server to the first communication device in the cabinet.
In another implementation, the first communication device and the second communication device may be contactless communication devices, for example, the first communication device and the second communication device may both be NFC (Near Field communication) devices, or both may also be RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) devices.
It can be understood that, if the first communication device and the second communication device are non-contact communication devices, when an operation and maintenance person places a server in a cabinet, the distance between the server and the cabinet is small, so that non-contact data communication can be performed between the second communication device in the server and the first communication device in the cabinet, and further, the second communication device in the server can send hardware information of the server to the first communication device in the cabinet.
Optionally, the hardware information of the server may include: the unique identification of the server, the hardware parameters of the CPU of the server, the hardware parameters of the hard disk of the server, the hardware parameters of the network card of the server and the hardware parameters of the memory of the server.
In one implementation, the unique identifier of the server may include a model Number of the server, a Serial Number (SN) of the server; the hardware parameters of the CPU can comprise the type of the CPU, the main frequency size of the CPU and the cache space size of the CPU; the hardware parameters of the hard disk can include the type of the hard disk and the space size of the hard disk; the hardware parameters of the network card can comprise the model of the network card; the hardware parameters of the memory may include the type of the memory and the space size of the memory.
S202: the first communication device receives the hardware information of the server and transmits the hardware information of the server to the management device.
The management device may be a terminal or a server. The management device may be connected to the first communication device in the server management system.
In addition, the management device may be configured with a management operation platform, and the management operation platform may record hardware information of the server and may also send a management message to the server to implement management of each server.
In this embodiment, after receiving the hardware information of the server sent by the second communication device in the server on the shelf in the cabinet, the first communication device in the cabinet may send the hardware information of the server to the management device.
S203: the management equipment acquires the hardware information of the server and records the unique identifier of the cabinet where the server is located corresponding to the hardware information of the server.
The unique identifier of the cabinet can be a serial number set by operation and maintenance personnel for the cabinet.
In this embodiment, the management device may receive hardware information of a server on an upper rack in the cabinet, which is sent by the first communication device in the cabinet. In addition, the management equipment can also determine the cabinet where the server is located, and record the unique identifier of the cabinet determined by the hardware information of the server correspondingly.
In one implementation, the management device may further generate a management table entry of the server, where the management table entry may record a unique identifier of the server, hardware information of the server, and a unique identifier of a cabinet in which the server is located.
In addition, the management device may display, in the display section, hardware information of the server and a unique identification of the cabinet in which the server is located.
Therefore, based on the server management method provided by the embodiment of the application, the first communication device in the cabinet can acquire the hardware information of the server from the second communication device integrated in the server on shelf and send the hardware information to the management device, and in addition, the management device can also determine the cabinet where the server on shelf is located.
It will be appreciated that the number of first communication devices that need to be installed in a cabinet may be determined based on the number of servers that need to be placed in the cabinet.
For example, a certain cabinet has a size of 42U, where U is a unit of a server size, and 1U is 4.445 cm. For a 1U-specification server, a maximum of 42 servers can be placed in the cabinet; for a 2U server, a maximum of 21 servers can be placed in the cabinet.
In actual operation, in order to effectively dissipate heat of the servers, fewer servers may be placed in the cabinet, for example, 10 servers of 1U specification may be placed in the cabinet, and correspondingly, 10 first communication devices may be correspondingly installed at positions where the servers need to be placed in the cabinet.
Optionally, the management device may store a corresponding relationship between the cabinet and the first communication device, and the method may further include the following steps:
and the management equipment determines the cabinet where the server is located according to the corresponding relation between the cabinet and the first communication equipment.
The corresponding relationship between the cabinet and the first communication device may be determined when the first communication device is installed in the cabinet. When the first communication device in the cabinet sends the hardware information of the server to the management device, the first communication device can also send the unique identifier of the first communication device to the management device.
In this embodiment of the application, when the management device obtains the hardware information of the server sent by the first communication device in the cabinet, the management device may further obtain the unique identifier of the first communication device, and further, the management device may query the correspondence between the cabinet and the first communication device to determine the cabinet corresponding to the first communication device, that is, the cabinet to which the server to which the received hardware information belongs is located.
Optionally, in order to further improve operation and maintenance efficiency, the first communication device and the second communication device may both be NFC devices, the server Management system further includes an Integrated Management Module (IMM), the IMM is Integrated in the server, and before S201, the method may further include the following steps:
the integrated management module collects the hardware information of the server and sends the hardware information of the server to the second communication device; and the second communication equipment receives the hardware information of the server sent by the integrated management module.
In this embodiment of the application, the second communication device may be fixed on the server body and close to the control panel of the server, so that the integrated management module in the server may write the hardware information of the server into the second communication device after acquiring the hardware information of the server.
In one implementation, the first communication device and the second communication device may be in an active communication mode, in which the first communication device may provide a radio frequency field during the entire communication process. When the server is placed in the cabinet, the second communication device in the server is within the range of the radio frequency field provided by the first communication device in the cabinet, and the second communication device in the server can send the hardware information of the server to the first communication device in the cabinet based on load modulation.
Therefore, based on the method of the embodiment of the application, data communication between the server and the cabinet can be independent of wired connection, manufacturers and models of the server, a uniform interface is not needed, and the application range of the method can be improved.
Optionally, when the server management system further includes an integrated management module, and the integrated management module is integrated in the server, the method may further include the following steps:
when the server needs to be operated and maintained, the management equipment sends an operation and maintenance instruction for the server to the first communication equipment; the first communication equipment sends an operation and maintenance instruction to the second communication equipment; the second communication equipment sends an operation and maintenance instruction to the integrated management module; and the integrated management module executes the operation and maintenance instruction.
In this embodiment of the application, when an operation and maintenance person needs to perform operation and maintenance on the server, because the server is placed in the cabinet, the operation and maintenance person may operate in the management device, so that the management device sends an operation and maintenance instruction for the server to the first communication device in the cabinet.
Correspondingly, when the operation and maintenance instruction sent by the management device is received, the first communication device in the cabinet can send the operation and maintenance instruction to the second communication device, and then the second communication device can send the operation and maintenance instruction to the integrated management module of the server, and the integrated management module can execute the received operation and maintenance instruction.
The operation and maintenance instruction may be an instruction indicating shutdown, or restart of the server.
Optionally, in order to further improve the efficiency of managing the server, the method may further include the following steps:
in the running process of the server, the second communication equipment sends the running state information of the server to the first communication equipment; the first communication device receives the operation state information of the server and transmits the operation state information of the server to the management device.
In the embodiment of the application, in the operation process of the server, the second communication device may acquire the operation state information of the server, and then the second communication device may send the operation state information of the server to the first communication device in the cabinet, and further, the first communication device in the cabinet may send the operation state information of the server to the management device, and correspondingly, the management device may further display the operation state information of the server in the display component, so that the operation and maintenance personnel can browse the operation state information.
In an implementation manner, an integrated management module of the server may periodically collect the operating state of the server and write the operating state into the second communication device, and accordingly, the second communication device may send the newly written operating state information to the first communication device in the cabinet after writing new operating state information each time, and then the first communication device in the cabinet forwards the received operating state information to the management device, so as to update the operating state information of the server.
Optionally, the operation state information of the server may include: the information indicating whether the CPU of the server is abnormal, the information indicating whether the hard disk of the server is abnormal, and the information indicating whether the memory of the server is abnormal.
The CPU, the hard disk, and the memory of the server may be in an abnormal state due to poor contact or the like, and therefore, the integrated management module of the server may monitor whether the CPU, the hard disk, and the memory of the server are abnormal, and write information indicating whether the CPU, the hard disk, and the memory are abnormal into the second communication device.
Correspondingly, the second communication device may send the written information to the first communication device in the cabinet, and then the first communication device in the cabinet may forward the information to the management device, and the management device may update the operating states of the CPU, the hard disk, and the memory according to the received information.
Referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 is a flowchart of an example of a server management method provided in an embodiment of the present application, where the method may be applied to a server management system, and the server management system may include a management device, a first communication device, a second communication device, and an integrated management module, where the first communication device is installed in a cabinet, the second communication device and the integrated management module are integrated in a server, and the first communication device and the second communication device are both NFC devices, and the method may include the following steps:
