Archaeology is the science for researching the history of the human ancient society through material data left by various activities of ancient human beings, wherein field archaeology is the most important and is the working stage for acquiring material data for research in the archaeology. The method is closely related to the trails and the relics left by the ancient human, mainly comprises archaeological investigation, archaeological excavation and indoor arrangement, is the basis of recent archaeology and is the most important step of the archaeology.
The most common site excavation method in field archaeology is mainly a 'exploration method', namely, an excavation region is divided into a plurality of equal square 'exploration directions', soil layers in the exploration directions are excavated sequentially from top to bottom, various trails appearing on each layer, such as ash pits, room bases, pit caves, roads and the like, are cleaned one by one according to the principle from late to early, and various trails during excavation, such as stoneware, bone wares, pottery, clam wares, stones, human remains, animal bones, charcoal samples for year measurement and the like, are collected. With the continuous deep excavation, the excavation depth of the field excavation method can reach even 10 to 20 meters, which causes various inconveniences to the archaeological personnel to operate and process in the archaeological field and collect the vestige, the relic and the like, so the climbing and the transportation are usually realized by means of a ladder.
It is now commonly adopted to use conventional ladders for archaeological personnel to move about and, through personnel's transmission, transport the relic from the position of unearthing inside the visit party to the level of visit party's top surface. Because the stratum level is not in a relatively horizontal position when excavation is carried out in a detection party, the archaeological staff can be in an unstable and unbalanced state in the operation process by using the conventional ladder, and particularly when collected relics are fragile or heavy, great risks are brought in the process of getting on and off the ladder, and irrecoverable and immeasurable loss is easily caused.
