Description

Operation method for external display common touch control
Technical Field
The present invention relates to an operation method of a touch display device, and more particularly, to an operation method of a touch display device capable of sharing touch with an external display electronic device.
Background
With the development of touch display devices becoming mature, touch panels have been developed into current consumer electronic devices, such as: essential basic components of mobile devices such as smart phones or tablet computers are widely used in various electronic products for single-point or multi-point touch control. Generally, a touch sensing substrate and a Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) are common components on a touch panel, the touch sensing substrate is embedded on a panel of a touch screen for a user to perform a single-point or multi-point touch operation, and the FPC is connected to an external Circuit board.
In general, the conventional touch-control device can communicate with the touch-control chip via a Universal Serial Bus (USB), an internal integrated circuit (I2C), or a master-slave synchronous serial communication (SPI I/F) to achieve the corresponding touch-control function. However, with the development of technology and the pursuit of more excellent visual enjoyment, the design requirement of the external display device has become one of the major trends of the development of the touch display device, that is, as shown in fig. 1 of the present invention, it is a schematic diagram of a main display device of the prior art plugged with the external display device; when an external display device 11 (e.g., an external computer) is additionally inserted into a main display device 1 (e.g., a host computer) for performing a projection function, the prior art can only individually perform respective touch functions on a display screen of the host computer or a display screen of the external computer; however, when the primary display device 1 displays the primary and secondary screens simultaneously, as shown in fig. 2, that is, when an external display area 212 of the external display device is displayed in the display area 21 of the primary display device 1, the primary display device and the external display device cannot simultaneously use their respective touch functions, which causes a problem that the primary display device and the external display device cannot share touch.
In view of the above, considering that the touch display device is gradually developed to a large size and a wide viewing angle, it is highly desirable to adopt various considerations for the assembly evaluation of how the main display device and the external display device share the touch. Therefore, the inventor is aware of the improvement of the above-mentioned deficiency, and based on the related experience of many years, carefully observes and studies, and applies the theory, to provide the invention with a novel design and effectively improves the above-mentioned deficiency, which discloses an operation method of a display device capable of providing common touch, and the specific structure and implementation thereof will be described in detail below.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to solve the problems of the prior art, an object of the present invention is to provide an operation method for external display common touch, which has a problem that the conventional main display device and the external display device cannot share touch therebetween. In view of these disadvantages, the operation method disclosed in the present invention utilizes a set of newly added control signals to detect and transmit the relative coordinates of the display area of the external display device to the main display device, so as to recalculate the relative areas of the report point and the non-report point in the primary and secondary display screens, and transmit the result back to the main display device and the external display device by the packet signal, thereby achieving the requirement of simultaneous control and touch control of the primary and secondary display screens.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide an operation method for external display common touch, which is applied to a host computer and an external computer connected thereto, and aims to perform touch control on a display screen of the host computer and a display screen of the external computer respectively under the condition that the display screen of the host computer and the display screen of the external computer are displayed simultaneously, so as to implement a primary-secondary display screen and improve the touch control utilization rate and the convenience of a user in operation.
In view of the above, the present invention discloses an operation method for external display common touch, comprising the following steps:
firstly, providing a main electronic device and detecting whether an external electronic device connected with the main electronic device exists; then, when the external electronic device is plugged into the main electronic device, calculating a plurality of coordinates of a sub-display area of the external electronic device; then, the coordinates are transmitted to the main electronic device, so that a first display area and a second display area in a main display area of the main electronic device are calculated according to the coordinates; finally, according to the range of the first display area and the second display area, two corresponding packet signals are transmitted to the main electronic device and the external electronic device respectively, so that the main electronic device and the external electronic device execute respective corresponding touch functions.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the coordinates are used to define the range of the sub-display area of the external electronic device. For example, when the sub-display area is a rectangle, the coordinates are located at the top left corner, the top right corner, the bottom left corner, and the bottom right corner of the sub-display area, respectively.
In one embodiment, the first display area and the second display area are two corresponding areas complementary to each other in the main display area. Wherein the second display area is consistent with the area range defined by the sub-display area of the external electronic device. In other words, the second display area is the click area of the external electronic device. Meanwhile, the first display area is the non-reporting area of the external electronic device, and when the first display area is the reporting area of the main electronic device, the second display area is the non-reporting area of the main electronic device.
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the main electronic device at least comprises a microprocessor and a touch chip, such that the external electronic device is connected to the microprocessor through a communication interface and plugged into the main electronic device.
The designed main control Circuit and sub-control Circuit can transmit packet signals through communication interfaces such as Universal Serial Bus (USB), Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C), or Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI).
By means of the novel design of the present invention, the external display common touch operation method disclosed in the present invention confirms the relative coordinates displayed by the external electronic device through the main electronic device, and further transmits the control signal and coordinates to the touch chip through the newly added control circuit, so that the touch chip can recalculate the relative positions of the display report point and the non-report point of the main display area and the relative positions of the display report point and the non-report point of the external electronic device according to the provided coordinates. Then, the calculated result is divided into two independent packet signals (including coordinate position and related control command) which are respectively transmitted back to the main electronic device and the external electronic device, so as to realize the function of respectively controlling the main and sub-pictures.
In order to increase the transmission rate, the packet signal of the original host electronic device can be transmitted by the original transmission line, and the packet signal of the external electronic device is transmitted by the newly added sub-control line.

Detailed Description
The foregoing description of the invention and the following detailed description are presented to illustrate and explain the principles and spirit of the invention and to provide further explanation of the invention as claimed. The features, operation and efficacy of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
In order to effectively improve the common touch object of the conventional external display device, the present invention provides a novel design for the common touch object of the external display device. In order to better understand the technical content of the present invention, please refer to the schematic structure diagram shown in fig. 3 and the step flow diagram shown in fig. 4, and the technical features of the present invention will be more easily understood through the detailed description of the embodiments of the present invention in conjunction with the attached drawings.
Fig. 3 is a schematic structural diagram of a main electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 3, a main electronic device 100 at least includes a Microprocessor (MCU) 102, a Touch sensor IC 104, a liquid crystal controller (Scaler)106, and a timing controller (T-con) 108. An external electronic device 200 is connected to the microprocessor 102 through a communication Interface 31 and plugged into the host electronic device 100, wherein the communication Interface 31 may be a transmission Interface such as a Universal Serial Bus (USB), a High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), a Display Interface (DP), or a Video Graphics Array (VGA). Those skilled in the art can select a suitable communication interface according to the requirement of the actual device, but the invention is not limited thereto. In one embodiment, the external electronic device 200 to which the main electronic device 100 is plugged may be a set of external computers and a host computer allowing external display.
Please refer to fig. 4, which is a flowchart illustrating an operation method of an external display common touch according to an embodiment of the present invention. Please refer to step S40, first, the main electronic device 100 detects whether the external electronic device 200 connected thereto is plugged thereon. When the external electronic device 200 is successfully plugged into the main electronic device 100, a sub-display area 202 of the external electronic device 200 is displayed on a touch panel (touch panel)112 in the main display area 110 of the main electronic device 100. Wherein the range size of the sub-display area 202 can be defined by a plurality of coordinates, as shown in FIG. 5, which is a main electronic device according to one embodiment of the present invention, when the main electronic device is used to display a schematic view of a PIP screen; for this example, as shown in the figure, when the sub-display area 202 is a rectangle, we first define the position of the origin (0,0), and then the coordinates include: (a1, b1), (a2, b2), (a3, b3), (a4, b4) are respectively located at the top left corner, the top right corner, the bottom left corner, and the bottom right corner of the sub-display area 202, and the invention can define the range of the sub-display area 202 of the external electronic device 200 by these coordinates.
Therefore, in step S42, after the external electronic device 202 is successfully plugged into the host electronic device 100, the microprocessor 102 of the host electronic device 100 calculates the coordinates of the sub-display area 202 of the external electronic device 200. Next, as shown in step S44, the coordinates include: (a1, b1), (a2, b2), (a3, b3), (a4, b4) are transmitted to the main electronic device 100, so as to calculate a first display area and a second display area in the main display area 110 of the main electronic device 100 according to the coordinates (a1, b1), (a2, b2), (a3, b3), (a4, b 4).
Next, please refer to fig. 6, which is a schematic diagram illustrating a first display area and a second display area in a main display area according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, and as shown in fig. 6, the first display area 61 and the second display area 62 are two corresponding areas complementary to each other in the main display area 110. As shown in fig. 5, the second display area 62 is consistent with an area defined by the sub-display area 202 of the external electronic device 200. That is, in step S44, after the main electronic device 100 receives the coordinates (a1, b1), (a2, b2), (a3, b3), (a4, b4) to calculate the corresponding second display region 62 and first display region 61, the second display region 62 and the first display region 61 are respectively displayed as the reaction display regions of the external electronic device 200 and the main electronic device 100.
For example, since the second display area 62 is consistent with the area defined by the sub-display area 202 of the external electronic device 200, the second display area 62 corresponds to a report area of the external electronic device 200. In this case, the first display area 61 is an area of the external electronic device 200 that does not report any click. Meanwhile, the first display area 61 is a highlight area of the main electronic device 100, and the second display area 62 is a non-highlight area of the main electronic device 100. Thus, by dividing the first display area 61 and the second display area 62, the present invention successfully achieves the purpose of simultaneously performing the external display and the PIP function.
Then, as shown in step S46 in fig. 4, the present invention can transmit two corresponding packet signals to the main electronic device 100 and the external electronic device 200 respectively according to the ranges of the first display area 61 and the second display area 62, so as to execute the corresponding touch functions. Now, referring to fig. 3, it can be seen that, compared to the prior art, in the present invention, in addition to the main control circuit 481 connected between the microprocessor 102 and the touch chip 104 of the main electronic device 100, a sub-control circuit 482 is further added between the microprocessor 102 and the touch chip 104, so that through the novel circuit design, a packet signal transmitted to the main electronic device 100 can be transmitted through the main control circuit 481, and another packet signal transmitted to the external electronic device 200 can be transmitted through the sub-control circuit 482. In an embodiment of the present invention, the main control line 481 and the sub-control line 482 designed in the present invention can transmit signals through a communication Interface such as Universal Serial Bus (USB), Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C), or Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI).
In detail, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a packet signal transmitted to the host electronic device 100 may include the coordinate positions of the first display area 61 and the second display area 62, and a control command of the host electronic device 100. The other packet signal transmitted to the external electronic device 200 includes the coordinate positions of the first display area 61 and the second display area 62, and the control command of the external electronic device 200. Accordingly, two packet signals transmitted to the main electronic device 100 and the external electronic device 200 are respectively transmitted through two independent lines, i.e. it is designed that: the main control line 481 and the sub-control line 482 are used for transmission, and the present invention can achieve better transmission rate and better signal accuracy than the prior art.
In view of the foregoing, it is obvious that, compared with the prior art, the operation method for external display shared touch disclosed by the present invention can process the touch areas of two systems respectively and transmit the touch areas back to the two systems for independent control, and according to the operation method disclosed by the present invention, the operation method can be applied to two independent systems (such as a host computer and an external computer), and can be extended to more than two external display devices on the basis of the technical features disclosed by the present invention, thereby not only bringing richer visual experience to users, but also realizing better effects of external display and shared touch.
In addition, the operation method for external display common touch disclosed by the invention has a main appeal in sharing the touch screen, and the convenience of the user operation is improved by the external device sharing the touch screen.
Furthermore, according to the operation method of the external display common touch disclosed in the present invention, the packet signal transmitted to the original main electronic device can be transmitted through the original transmission line, and the packet signal transmitted to the external electronic device can be transmitted through the newly added sub-control line. Therefore, the operation method of the external display common touch control disclosed by the invention can also optimize the transmission rate of the system and maintain stable signal precision.
In summary, the operation method of the external display common touch disclosed in the present invention has excellent industrial applicability and competitiveness. It is obvious that the technical features, means and effects disclosed in the present invention are obviously different from the prior art, and are not easily accomplished by the skilled person, so that the present invention should have the patent requirements and the details of the committee for expecting and examining.
