Description

Dust collector suction nozzle with rear scraping rib
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of vacuum cleaners equipped with a vacuum cleaner nozzle, also called suction head, allowing to suck in dust and small particle waste present on a surface.
Background
Cleaners equipped with a cleaner nozzle are well known in the market, which allow cleaning of surfaces by suction to empty the surfaces of dust and small particle waste that is retained on the surfaces. The surface to be cleaned may be, for example, a tile floor, a laminate, a mat or a carpet.
Conventionally, a vacuum cleaner nozzle comprises a connection sleeve and a soleplate provided with a lower surface and a suction channel communicating with the connection sleeve and leading to the lower surface of the soleplate. The lower surface of the sole plate is intended to be positioned adjacent to a surface to be cleaned during use of the cleaner nozzle.
The floor of the suction nozzle of the suction cleaner may for example be provided with a suction channel extending transversely to the direction of movement of the suction nozzle of the suction cleaner and at least two flexible scraping ribs arranged on both sides of the suction channel and serving to scrape the floor surface to be cleaned.
However, such a construction of the suction nozzle of the cleaner necessarily results in premature wear of the scraping ribs, in particular when the suction nozzle of the cleaner is reused on smooth hard floors, and thus in insufficient or even ineffective scraping of the floor to be cleaned by the scraping ribs.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention aims to overcome all or part of these disadvantages.
The technical problem underlying the present invention is in particular to provide a suction nozzle of a vacuum cleaner which is structurally reliable and economical while ensuring an optimal scraping of the floor surface to be cleaned.
To this end, the invention relates to a suction nozzle of a vacuum cleaner, comprising a floor plate provided with a lower surface, a suction channel opening to the lower surface and extending transversely to the direction of movement of the suction nozzle, and a rear scraping rib projecting from the lower surface of the floor plate and intended to scrape a floor surface to be cleaned, the rear scraping rib extending near and along a rear edge of the suction channel, characterized in that the floor plate comprises a support surface which is arranged to be in contact with the floor surface to be cleaned, and that the rear scraping rib is positioned to retract from the support surface so as to be located at a distance from the floor surface to be cleaned when the support surface is in contact with the floor surface to be cleaned and the floor surface to be cleaned is smooth.
This configuration of the rear scraping rib and the support surface allows avoiding contact between the rear scraping rib and the floor to be cleaned and thus keeping the rear scraping rib intact when the cleaner nozzle is used on smooth floors, in particular when the cleaner nozzle is equipped with a brush, when the brush of the cleaner nozzle is not removed. The suction nozzle of the vacuum cleaner according to the invention thus allows to simultaneously ensure an optimal scraping of the soft floor surface to be cleaned.
The vacuum cleaner nozzle may also have one or more of the following features, alone or in combination.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the support surface is arranged on the soleplate in order to ensure a positive predetermined distance between the floor to be cleaned and the rear scraping rib, at least when the floor to be cleaned is smooth.
In other words, the rear scraping rib is arranged at a predetermined distance from a support plane, which is defined in part by the support surface.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the predetermined distance is between 0.5mm and 2mm, and for example between 0.5mm and 1 mm.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the bearing surface is formed by a bearing roller.

The bearing surface 22 is more particularly provided at the rear of the dust collection channel 12 and, for example, at the rear sliding surface 14. The bearing surface 22 and the moving wheels 4a,4b define a bearing plane P.
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the bearing surface 22 is formed by a bearing roller protruding from the rear sliding surface 14.
The sole plate 5 further comprises rear scraping ribs 23, which rear scraping ribs 23 project from the rear sliding surface 14 and serve to scrape the floor to be cleaned, and more particularly soft floors (e.g. carpets, carpets). The rear scraping rib 23 is advantageously rectilinear and substantially parallel to the direction of extension D1 of the suction channel 12.
The rear scraping rib 23 is adjacent to the rear edge 12b of the dust collection channel 12 and extends along the rear edge 12 b. Advantageously, the rear scraping rib 23 is located at the intersection of the rear sliding surface 14 and the rear side wall 24 of the suction channel 12, and the rear scraping rib 23 extends in a succession of the rear side wall 24 of the suction channel 12, and for example over substantially the entire length of the suction channel 12.
The rear scraping ribs 23 are positioned to retract from the support surface 22 and more particularly are arranged at a predetermined distance from a support plane P, which is defined in part by the support surface 22. The predetermined distance is between 0.5mm and 2mm, and advantageously between 0.5mm and 1 mm. Thus, the support surface 22 is arranged on the soleplate 5 to ensure a positive distance between the floor and the rear scraping rib 23.
The rear scraping rib 23 may, for example, have a height of between 0.3mm and 0.9mm, and may, for example, have a thickness of between 0.4mm and 0.6 mm.
The sole plate 5 further comprises a front scraping edge 25, which front scraping edge 25 is intended to scrape the floor surface to be cleaned. Rear scraping ribs 23 and front scraping ribs 25 are provided on both sides of the dust suction passage 12. Advantageously, the front scraping edge 25 is located at the intersection of the front sliding surface 15 and the front side wall 26 of the suction channel 12.
The cleaner nozzle 2 further comprises two brushes 27, 28, which brushes 27, 28 are positioned on the front and rear side of the floor 5, respectively, and are movable between a lowered position, in which they are positioned protruding from the lower surface 11 of the floor 5, and a raised position, in which they 27, 28 are positioned retracted from the lower surface 11 of the floor 5. The two brushes 27, 28 may for example be mounted on a support 29, which support 29 is movably and for example slidably mounted on the base plate 5.
Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the described and illustrated embodiments which are given by way of example only. Modifications can be made without departing from the scope of protection of the invention, in particular from the point of view of the construction of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents.
