fig. 2 is a schematic structural diagram of a system for dynamic capacity expansion and contraction of host resources according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Detailed Description
The present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, for the purpose of making the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent.
As shown in fig. 1, in an embodiment of the present invention, a method for dynamically expanding and shrinking a host resource is provided, where the method includes the following steps:
step S1, detecting the real-time use condition of the resources of a target host;
the specific process is that the resource use condition of the target host is that the name of the target host is acquired by calling the corresponding API interface in the preset IT service management ITSM, and then the related information comprising the CPU use rate, the memory occupancy rate, the disk space size and the service processing quantity is acquired according to the acquired name of the target host. The information synchronization of the target host can be realized through the virtualization platform, and the corresponding real-time resource use condition of the target host is obtained, wherein the resource use condition comprises, but is not limited to, related information such as CPU use rate, memory occupancy rate, disk space size, service processing quantity and the like.
Step S2, when the condition that the resource use condition of the target host meets the preset capacity expansion condition or capacity contraction condition is detected, the resource use condition of the target host meeting the preset capacity expansion condition or capacity contraction condition is sent to target personnel in the form of a message, and the target personnel is informed to make a corresponding capacity expansion plan or capacity contraction plan;
the specific process is that a plurality of rule conditions (comprising rule duration, peak value, average value of CPU utilization rate, peak value and average value of memory occupancy rate, and the relationship between two types of resources) can be customized, parameters contained in the rule conditions can be integrated with a CMDB cooperation management platform, different rule conditions can be mounted and applied to different service systems (topology display is used and can be divided into application systems, subsystems, environments, modules and the like) or specific hosts, and rule management supports operations such as adding, deleting, modifying and checking. Here, parameters of rule conditions to be matched may be set only with CPU usage and memory occupancy. Thus, in one example, the predefined expansion condition includes the CPU utilization being greater than a first upper threshold and the memory occupancy being greater than a second upper threshold; the predefined capacity shrinkage condition comprises that the CPU utilization rate is smaller than a first lower limit threshold value, and the memory occupancy rate is smaller than a second lower limit threshold value. Namely, in the resource use condition of the target host, the CPU use rate is larger than a first upper threshold, the memory occupancy rate is larger than a second upper threshold, and the capacity expansion task is triggered; in the resource use condition of the target host, the CPU use rate is smaller than a first lower threshold, the memory occupancy rate is smaller than a second lower threshold, and the capacity-shrinking task is triggered.
And extracting the resource use condition which meets the preset capacity expansion condition or capacity contraction condition in the target host, sending the resource use condition to target personnel in the form of a message, and informing the target personnel to make a corresponding capacity expansion plan or capacity contraction plan. IT should be noted that, after the target person also calls the corresponding API interface in the preset IT service management ITSM to obtain the name of the target host, the target person obtains the name of the target host from the preset configuration management database CMDB. The target personnel also carry related information such as names, operation authorities, mailboxes, telephones and the like, so that the message can be ensured to be notified through mails and/or short messages. Of course, the message content should not be limited to the resource usage situation in the target host that has met the preset capacity expansion condition or capacity contraction condition, but may also include rules for mounting the target host, clusters where the target host is located, application system names on the target host, uses of the target host, tasks generated by one key on the target host, and so on.
It can be understood that if the resource use condition of the target host triggers the capacity expansion condition, the target personnel is notified of the capacity expansion task, and a capacity expansion plan is formulated; similarly, if the resource use condition of the target host triggers the capacity reduction condition, the target personnel is notified of the capacity reduction task, and a capacity reduction plan is formulated. The capacity expansion plan or the capacity contraction plan comprises an execution target, execution time and one or more adjustment values among CPU (Central processing Unit) utilization rate, memory occupancy rate, disk space size and business processing quantity. Of course, the expansion plan or the contraction plan can be written and executed regularly by one script or a plurality of scripts to meet different running environments and working requirements.
S3, after the application service of the target host is detected to be suspended by the target personnel and a corresponding expansion plan or a corresponding contraction plan is obtained by the target personnel, carrying out system backup on the target host;
the specific process is that before the expansion plan or the contraction plan is executed, the application service of the target host should be suspended by the target personnel or other personnel, and meanwhile, the system backup is performed on the target host, so as to ensure the safe recovery after the expansion and contraction of the target host fail. In one example, the backup of the system is performed by the target host computer through a snapshot mode. The snapshot is taken as a necessary condition for rollback in case of capacity expansion or capacity reduction failure, and the snapshot can timely recover the system application of the target host under the condition of capacity expansion or capacity reduction failure, so that paralysis caused by change of the target host is avoided.
And S4, after the completion of the system backup operation of the target host is determined, executing the obtained capacity expansion plan or capacity contraction plan on the target host, and after the completion of the executed capacity expansion plan or capacity contraction plan is determined, notifying the target personnel to start the suspended application service of the target host and checking.
The specific process is that after the system backup is completed, the expansion and contraction of the target host is realized according to the execution target, execution time and one or more adjustment values among CPU utilization rate, memory occupancy rate, disk space size and service processing quantity in the expansion plan or contraction plan. Of course, if the expansion plan or the contraction plan fails to be executed, the expansion plan or the contraction plan can be timely acquired and pushed to the target personnel.
After the expansion plan or the contraction plan is executed, notifying a target person to start the suspended application service of the target host and checking the suspended application service so as to ensure that the target host can achieve the expansion and contraction task execution effect. Thus, for checking the execution effect of the capacity expansion task, the specific steps of the method include: detecting an application service condition started after the target host machine executes the capacity expansion plan or the capacity contraction plan, and if the detected application service condition of the target host machine is normal, determining that the target host machine successfully executes the capacity expansion plan or the capacity contraction plan; otherwise, if the detected application service condition of the target host is abnormal, acquiring the system backup completed by the target host and executing backup recovery, so that the target host is recovered to the state before the execution of the capacity expansion plan or the capacity contraction plan, and the state before the snapshot backup of the target host is recovered as the original state of the target host.
In the embodiment of the invention, in order to check the resource use condition of the target host in real time (including before and after the expansion and contraction), the resource use condition of the target host after executing the expansion plan or the contraction plan can be displayed through a chart or characters; wherein the chart includes, but is not limited to, a table, a bar chart, a pie chart, etc.
The application scenario of a method for dynamically expanding and shrinking host resources in the embodiment of the invention is further described:
and a certain virtualization platform is combined with the ITSM to monitor and call a corresponding API interface to monitor and control the CPU utilization rate, the memory occupancy rate and other information of the target host in real time, and simultaneously, the real-time matching is carried out through the pre-defined capacity expansion condition or capacity contraction condition. At this time, once the target host is running a large service application, the CPU usage rate per hour is greater than 90% (the first upper threshold), and the memory occupancy rate is greater than 16G (the second upper threshold), the target host triggers the capacity expansion task, that is, the resource usage condition of the target host has satisfied the preset capacity expansion condition.
The virtualization platform obtains target personnel from a preset configuration management database CMDB according to the name of the target host, wherein the target personnel carry related information such as the name, the operation authority, the mailbox, the telephone and the like, so that the resource use condition meeting the preset capacity expansion condition in the target host is sent to the target personnel through mails and/or short messages, and the target personnel is informed of the capacity expansion preparation.
The notified target personnel make a capacity expansion plan, which is specifically: a change is made at night 12:00, and the disk space size target value is changed to increase the disk space 100G. Once determined, the virtualization platform can automatically notify all relevant personnel involved with the target host, including internal administrators, database administrators, vendor technology engineers, and the like.
The target person manually or automatically stops the application service on the target host before executing the capacity expansion plan. Snapshot backup is required. Therefore, the virtualization platform performs snapshot backup on the target host after detecting that the application service of the target host is suspended by the target personnel and acquiring a corresponding capacity expansion plan formulated by the target personnel.
After the snapshot backup work of the target host is determined to be completed, executing the capacity expansion plan of the disk space 100G on the target host, and after the work of executing the capacity expansion plan of the disk space 100G is determined to be completed, notifying a target person to start the suspended application service of the target host and checking. If the application service condition of the target host is normal, determining that the capacity expansion of the target host is successful; otherwise, if the application service condition of the target host is abnormal, executing backup recovery on the snapshot backup, so that the target host recovers the state before the snapshot backup. Of course, after the target host expansion is successful, the resource usage condition of the target host can be written back into the CMDB for storage, so as to facilitate subsequent inquiry. In the whole capacity expansion process, the resource use condition of the target host can be displayed through a chart or characters.

and the display resource expansion and contraction unit 60 is used for displaying the resource use condition of the target host executing the expansion plan or the contraction plan through a chart or characters.
