Detailed Description
In the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments of the invention, reference is made to the accompanying drawings that form a part hereof, and in which is shown by way of illustration, specific features of the invention, such that the advantages and features of the invention may be more readily understood and appreciated. The following description is an embodiment of the claimed invention, and other embodiments related to the claims not specifically described also fall within the scope of the claims.
Fig. 1 shows a flow chart of a method of automatic reading according to the invention.
As shown in fig. 1, a method of automatic reading may include, in response to an automatic reading instruction, displaying a reading speed mark S1; the reading speed flag S2 is automatically moved according to a preset reading speed.
The user may read the electronic document in the reading software of the electronic device or in the electronic reading device, etc. The user can select the automatic reading mode before the electronic document is read or in the process of reading the electronic document at any time through manual operation or voice operation and the like. The electronic device may include, for example, a cell phone, a computer, an e-reader, etc. The electronic document may include an electronic book or the like. When the reading software or the reading device receives the automatic reading instruction, a reading speed mark can be displayed to prompt the user of the current reading speed. The reading speed display mark can be a display mark of line-by-line, word-by-word, segment-by-segment and the like, and the reading speed of the page can be prompted only by displaying a reading speed progress bar as the reading speed mark. The display reading speed mark can be displayed to be seen by a user or can be hidden to run in the background.
The reading speed mark can automatically move according to a preset reading speed, the moving speed is consistent with the preset reading speed, the preset reading speed is high, the reading speed mark moves fast, the preset reading speed is low, and the reading speed mark moves slow; the moving direction of the reading speed flag may be the same as the reading direction. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the preset reading speed may include at least one of: the reading speed set by the user, the average reading speed of the current reading text, the average reading speed of the current page and the like.
The reading speed set by the user can comprise a reading speed manually set by the user before the user starts reading, or can also comprise an automatic reading speed set by the user when the user reads other electronic documents, and when the electronic document starts automatically reading, the reading speed set by the user can be defaulted, and the user does not need to manually operate again. The average reading speed of the user may include an average of reading speeds of all users or all or part of the electronic documents that the user has read previously; the reading speed may include a reading speed in an automatic reading mode, a reading speed in a manual reading mode, and the like. The portion of the electronic document may, for example, only select electronic documents of the same type as the electronic document to be read, etc. The average speed of the current reading text can be obtained by analyzing big data, for example, the reading speeds of all users or part of users who read the current reading text are averaged; the reading speed may include a reading speed in an automatic reading mode, a reading speed in a manual reading mode, and the like. The average reading speed of the current page may include an average of reading speeds of all or a part of users who read the current page; the reading speed may include a reading speed in an automatic reading mode or a reading speed in a manual reading mode, and thus the preset reading speed may be different for each page of the electronic document. The preset reading speed may be selected from one of the above speeds, or may be a combination thereof, for example, by comparing, analyzing, calculating, processing, and the like the combination.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, when it is detected that the reading speed mark moves to the end position of the current page, acquiring and displaying the next page content. The end position may be the lowest end of the current page, or the last line of the current page, or the last character of the current page, etc. The next page content can be displayed in the modes of automatic covering page turning, automatic rolling page turning, direct rendering without effect and the like.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the automatically moving the reading speed flag S2 according to the preset reading speed may further include automatically adjusting the reading speed according to the page layout. The page typesetting comprises fonts, word numbers, intervals, sentence and line breaking, picture and figure positions and the like.
On the basis of the preset reading speed, the reading speed mark can keep moving at a constant speed, the reading speed at different positions in the page can be automatically adjusted according to different page layouts, and the moving speed can be immediately adjusted according to the reading speed at different positions. For example, the number of words per page or per line is different, or the line has no words but pictures, or blank lines, etc., the reading speed per page or per line may be different, and the moving speed of the reading speed flag may be changed according to the page content. The mode is based on that the reading time of each page or each line of users is different, and according to the embodiment, the situation of the users in the actual reading process can be better matched, so that the users can obtain better experience effect.
For example, the reading speed mark may be automatically moved at a constant speed or at a variable speed. The automatic variable speed movement may include automatically adjusting a speed of movement of the reading speed flag on each line according to a number of words or characters of the line; or/and automatically adjusting the moving speed of the reading speed mark on the page according to the number of words or characters of each page. For example, if a row has a small number of words or characters, such as a row having only two words or only one punctuation mark, the reading speed mark may be moved to the row at an accelerated speed to reduce the dwell time in the row; if a certain row has a large number of words, the reading speed mark can move at a reduced speed when moving to the row so as to prolong the stay time in the row and facilitate the reading of a user; if a certain line is a blank line, the reading speed flag may directly skip the line, etc. If the number of words of a certain page is large or small, the reading speed mark can be adjusted to move in a decelerating or accelerating way on the page, and the reading speed mark can also move at a constant speed or at a variable speed according to the content of each line when the page moves.
Fig. 2 shows a schematic view of a reading speed flag according to the present invention. Wherein FIG. 2(a) shows a schematic view of one embodiment in which the reading speed is marked as a straight line; FIG. 2(b) is a schematic diagram illustrating one embodiment of a reading speed marker with an arrow; FIG. 2(c) is a diagram illustrating one embodiment in which the reading speed indicia is text highlighting; and FIG. 2(d) is a diagram illustrating one embodiment in which the reading speed indicia is an inter-character indicia.
The reading speed flag may be in various forms, and may be a flag on a word-by-word basis, a line-by-line basis, a segment-by-segment basis, or the like. For example, as shown in fig. 2, several representations of reading speed indicia are shown, but are not so limited and are not intended to limit the present invention. For example, as shown in fig. 2(a), the reading speed mark may be a straight line, making line-by-line marks; if the reading direction of the electronic document is from top to bottom, the line can be automatically moved from top to bottom line by line. As shown in fig. 2(b), the reading speed mark may be one or more arrows, may be located on one side or both sides of the row, or may be a word-by-word mark. As also shown in fig. 2(c), the reading speed mark may be a text highlight, such as a text background highlight, as shown in fig. 2(c), or a text font highlight, such as a font enlargement, a color change, or the like. The text highlighting may be performed line by line highlighting, or may be performed word by word, segment by segment, fixed word number by fixed word number, or the like. As also shown in fig. 2(d), the reading speed mark may be an inter-character mark, displayed between characters or between characters, and may be displayed word by word, every few words, line by line, segment by segment, etc., for example, once every fixed number of words. The reading speed mark can also be a progress display scroll bar on one side of the document, correspondingly displaying the reading speed and the like. If the reading direction is from left to right and from top to bottom, the moving direction of the reading speed mark can be from left to right and from top to bottom.
The reading speed mark can also adjust the color and the transparency according to the requirement, and can also increase the shadow effect or add animation and the like according to the requirement. For example, the transparency can be adjusted such that the reading speed indicia is from fully visible to fully transparent, visually from clearly visible to disappearing.
Fig. 3 shows a schematic diagram of an embodiment of automatic reading according to the invention.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, it may further include that the automatic moving direction of the reading speed mark coincides with the reading direction; the front side of the reading speed mark displays the content of the next page. One embodiment of the process of moving the reading speed flag downward when the reading direction is from top to bottom is shown in fig. 3.
The automatic moving direction of the reading speed mark is consistent with the reading direction, so that the reading of a user is facilitated, and better reading experience is provided for the user. The front side is a side facing the opposite direction of the reading direction with the position of the reading speed mark as a starting point. For example, if the reading speed mark is a straight line moving line by line when the reading direction is from top to bottom, as shown in fig. 3, the portion from the reading speed mark upward is the front side of the reading speed mark, i.e., the portion displaying the letter B; if the reading direction is from left to right and from top to bottom and the reading speed flag is as shown in fig. 2(d), the portion to the left and upward from the reading speed flag is the front side of the reading speed flag.
As shown in fig. 3, wherein the text a may represent the reading content of the current page, and the text B may represent the reading content of the next page. As the reading speed mark moves, the front side thereof gradually displays the content of the next page, i.e., the text B in fig. 3. When the reading speed mark is moved to the end position of the current page, the content of the next page is displayed without page turning. Therefore, on one hand, the page turning time can be saved, and the reading efficiency is improved, because even if the page is automatically turned, a page turning action and consumed time are required; on the other hand, the actual reading speed of the user can be better matched, for example, when the actual reading speed of the user is greater than the moving speed of the reading speed mark and the reading speed mark has not moved to the end position of the current page, the user can then see the content of the next page, so that the time for waiting for page turning when the reading speed is high is avoided, or frequent operation that the reading speed needs to be adjusted by the user due to mismatching of reading speeds of partial positions is avoided, and the user experience is improved. The front content or the rear content of the reading speed mark can be selected to be read according to the reading habit of the user, namely the user can read the part below the straight line shown in figure 3, and can also read the part above the straight line, and the two different reading experiences can meet the requirements of different users.
FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating one embodiment of a mobile reading speed indicia in accordance with the present invention. Wherein FIG. 4(a) is a schematic diagram illustrating one embodiment of moving the reading speed flag downward according to the present invention; and FIG. 4(b) is a schematic diagram illustrating one embodiment of moving the reading speed flag upward according to the present invention.
As shown in fig. 4, it may further include, on the current page, moving the reading speed mark from the current position to a specified position in response to an instruction to move the reading speed mark; and setting the designated position as a new current position, and automatically moving the reading speed mark again according to the preset reading speed.
For example, when the reading direction is from top to bottom, in the automatic reading mode, as shown in the left diagram of fig. 4(a), it is detected that the reading speed mark is touched or pressed by the finger of the user, i.e., the current position, and it is detected that, for example, the swipe operation and the stopped position are reached to the designated position along the reading direction, as shown in the right diagram of fig. 4(a), the reading speed mark may be moved downward to the stopped position, i.e., the designated position, simultaneously with the swipe operation. When the movement is completed, the reading speed mark automatically moves downwards again according to the set reading speed from the designated position. The operation of downswing, i.e., moving the reading speed mark in the reading direction, as shown in fig. 4(a), corresponds to an increase in reading speed in the area being stroked.
When the reading direction is from top to bottom, in the automatic reading mode, as shown in the left diagram of fig. 4(b), it is detected that the user's finger touches or presses the reading speed mark, i.e., the current position, and it is detected that, for example, the swipe operation and the stopped position, i.e., the designated position is swiped against the reading direction, as shown in the right diagram of fig. 4(b), the reading speed mark may be moved up to the stopped position, i.e., the designated position, simultaneously with the above swipe operation. When the movement is completed, the reading speed mark automatically moves downwards again according to the set reading speed from the designated position. The operation of swiping up as shown in fig. 4(b), i.e. moving the reading speed marker against the reading direction, corresponds to slowing down the reading speed in the area being swiped.
When the reading speed mark is displayed word by word, etc., that is, there is reading content in the left and right direction of the reading speed mark, the reading speed mark may also be moved to the left or right.
Therefore, according to the technical scheme of the invention, the reading speed mark can be freely moved in the automatic reading mode, no matter upwards, downwards, leftwards, rightwards and the like, and can be moved along the reading direction and can also be moved against the reading direction, which is equivalent to that the reading speed can be locally adjusted on the premise of not exiting the current page.
FIG. 5 illustrates a schematic diagram of another embodiment of a mobile reading speed indicia in accordance with the present invention. Wherein fig. 5(a) shows a schematic view of another embodiment of moving the reading speed flag downward according to the present invention; and FIG. 5(b) is a schematic view showing another embodiment of moving the reading speed flag upward according to the present invention.
As shown in fig. 5, when the reading direction is from top to bottom, and in the automatic reading mode, and the content of the next page is displayed on the front side of the reading speed mark, for example, as shown in the left diagram of fig. 5(a), it is detected that the user touches or presses the finger to select the reading speed mark, i.e., the current position, and it is detected that, for example, the user touches or presses the finger to the designated position along the reading direction, then as shown in the right diagram of fig. 5(a), the reading speed mark may move downward to the designated position along with the above-mentioned touch operation, i.e., the designated position, while the content of the next page is also displayed more along with the movement of the reading speed mark. When the movement is completed, the reading speed mark automatically moves downwards again according to the set reading speed from the designated position. The operation of downswing, i.e., moving the reading speed mark in the reading direction, as shown in fig. 5(a) corresponds to an increase in reading speed in the area being stroked, and also corresponds to an increase in display speed of the next page.
For example, as shown in the left diagram of fig. 5(b), the reading speed mark, i.e., the current position, is detected to be selected by touching or pressing with a finger of the user, and, for example, a stroke-up operation and a stopped position, i.e., a stroke to a specified position against the reading direction, are detected, as shown in the right diagram of fig. 5(b), the reading speed mark may be moved up to the stopped position, i.e., the specified position, simultaneously with the above stroke-up operation, while the content of the next page is also displayed less as the reading speed mark is moved. When the movement is completed, the reading speed mark automatically moves downwards again according to the set reading speed from the designated position. The operation of swiping up as shown in fig. 5(b), i.e. moving the reading speed mark against the reading direction, corresponds to slowing down the reading speed in the area being swiped, and also corresponds to slowing down the display speed of the next page.
When the reading speed mark is displayed word by word, etc., that is, there is reading content in the left and right direction of the reading speed mark, the reading speed mark may also be moved to the left or right.
Therefore, according to the present embodiment, the reading speed flag can be freely moved in the automatic reading mode, whether upward, downward, leftward, rightward, or the like, and can be moved along the reading direction or against the reading direction, which also means that the reading speed can be locally adjusted without exiting from the current page, and the display speed of the next page also changes with the movement of the reading speed flag.
Fig. 6 shows a schematic view of an embodiment of adjusting the reading speed according to the invention.
As shown in fig. 6, it may further include, in response to a click or press operation on a central area of the current page, pausing the movement of the reading speed flag and displaying a reading speed adjustment window in the current page; and responding to the reading speed adjusting instruction, and automatically moving the reading speed mark according to the new reading speed.
According to the embodiment, the required reading speed, including the reading speed of the page, the integral reading speed of the electronic document and the like, can be adjusted at any time according to needs on the premise of not exiting the automatic reading mode and not exiting the current reading interface, so that the moving speed of the reading speed mark is adjusted, the reading efficiency of a user can be improved, the operation times are reduced, and better user experience is provided for the user. When an instruction of a specific operation is detected, for example, a click operation or a press operation in the central area of the current page, the operation of the specific area is identified to be distinguished from other instruction operations, and of course, other areas may be set, or other operations such as a double click operation and the like may be set. For example, displaying a window for adjusting the reading speed, and operation options, such as a slider shown in fig. 6, adjusting the overall reading speed of the electronic document, for example, by detecting the direction in which the user slides the slider, and the like. Other options, such as background, typesetting, etc., can also be set in the adjustment window at the same time. When the user closes the window, the reading speed mark can start to automatically move according to the speed newly set by the user.
FIG. 7 is a flow chart of one embodiment of a method for automatic reading according to the present invention.
As shown in fig. 7, it may further include, in response to the layout adjustment instruction in the current page, adjusting the layout of the current page S3; automatically adjusting the moving speed of the reading speed mark according to the rearranged page S4.
According to the embodiment, the typesetting of the electronic document can be adjusted at any time according to needs on the premise of not exiting the automatic reading mode and the current reading interface, so that the operation times of a user can be reduced, and better user experience is provided for the user. The adjusting typesetting comprises font, font size, space and the like. When the typesetting adjustment instruction in the current page is detected, the typesetting of the current page is adjusted according to the instruction requirement, and the typesetting of the subsequent page can be changed. When the typesetting of the current page is adjusted, the typesetting instruction can be adjusted according to the reading position of the user, for example, the typesetting instruction is adjusted to increase the font size, and the current page can be amplified by taking the reading position of the current user as the center, so that the user can still see the contents which the user wants to see or is watching on the current page after amplification. The reading position of the user may be based on the position of the reading speed markers, e.g. the characters in front of and/or behind it. Since the number of words of the rearranged page may be changed, the new reading speed of each line or page may be automatically adjusted to match the current page content, and the reading speed flag is automatically moved according to the new reading speed, that is, the retention time of the reading speed flag in each line or page is changed. If the number of words in the current page is not changed after the typesetting, the new reading speed can be kept the same as the reading speed before the typesetting.
According to the embodiment, the typesetting of the electronic document can be adjusted at any time in the current page, the reading speed of the specific position can be correspondingly and automatically adjusted, the operations such as resetting by a user are not needed, and the method is convenient and good in experience.
FIG. 8 is a diagram illustrating the position of reading speed marks after page layout adjustment according to the present invention. Wherein, fig. 8(a) shows a schematic diagram in which the reading speed flag is located at the front side of the next character after the page layout is adjusted; and FIG. 8(b) is a diagram showing that the reading speed mark is positioned at the front side of the line of the next character after the page layout is adjusted.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method may further include, in response to the layout adjustment instruction in the current page, pausing the movement of the reading speed flag; acquiring a pause position of the reading speed mark, such as a character which comprises the next pause position; and determining the new position of the reading speed mark in the rearranged page according to the new position of the next character, for example, as the starting position of the reading speed mark for restarting moving.
The typesetting adjustment instruction comprises typesetting requirements of changing fonts, word sizes, spacing and the like. And when the typesetting adjustment instruction is detected, the movement of the reading speed mark is suspended, and the typesetting of the current page is adjusted according to the instruction. Obtaining the pause position of the reading speed mark before typesetting, determining the new position of the reading speed mark according to the typesetting condition and the original pause position of the reading speed mark after typesetting, and then restarting to move at a new speed from the new position. The pause position of the reading speed mark may also include a plurality of characters, for example, the last two characters, or the next row of characters, or/and one or more characters on the front side of the pause position.
When the reading speed mark is a straight line moving line by line, for example, as shown in the left image of fig. 8(a), before adjusting the typesetting, the word C is the next character of the reading speed mark, after adjusting the page typesetting, for example, after increasing the font size, as shown in the right image of fig. 8(a), the word C is still at the beginning of a line, then the reading speed mark can move along with the word C and can move to the front side of the word C, that is, the word C is still the next character of the reading speed mark, and the reading speed mark is used as the starting position of the reading speed mark after typesetting.
When the reading speed mark is a straight line moving line by line, for example, as shown in the left diagram of fig. 8(b), before adjusting the typesetting, the word C is the next character of the reading speed mark, after adjusting the page typesetting, for example, after increasing the font size, as shown in the right diagram of fig. 8(b), the word C is in the middle or the end position of a line, then the reading speed mark can move along with the word C and can move to the front side of the line where the word C is located, that is, the word C is in the next character of the reading speed mark, and the reading speed mark is used as the start position of the reading speed mark after typesetting.
If the reading speed mark is displayed word by word, etc., that is, there is reading content in the left and right direction of the reading speed mark, the reading speed mark may be always located in front of the original next character, for example, always located in front of the character C, moving with the character C, etc.
According to the typeset content, the original overall reading speed can be maintained, but the moving speed of the reading speed mark can be changed, namely the stay time of the reading speed mark is changed word by word, line by line, sentence by sentence and the like. For example, as shown in fig. 8, when the font size becomes larger after the page layout is adjusted, the number of words per page is reduced, and therefore the reading speed flag is moved faster, that is, the dwell time per line and per page is shortened.
FIG. 9 is a diagram illustrating an embodiment of an operation of adjusting page layout according to the present invention. FIG. 9(a) is a schematic diagram illustrating an embodiment of adjusting the page layout by a zoom operation in a current page; and FIG. 9(b) is a diagram illustrating one embodiment of the operation of clicking or pressing on the current page and selecting the option to resize the font.
As shown in fig. 9, the layout adjustment instructions may include identifying at least one of the following operations: a zoom gesture in the current page; clicking or pressing operation in the current page, and operating a scroll bar for adjusting the font size; a click or press operation in the current page, and selecting the option to resize the font.
According to the embodiment, the layout can be directly adjusted through operation without exiting the automatic reading mode and without exiting the current reading interface, for example, the size of the font is adjusted, as shown in the left diagram of fig. 9(a), the size of the font can be directly adjusted through a zooming gesture, as shown in the right diagram of fig. 9(a) after operation, the font becomes larger, and the reading speed mark continues to start moving.
