3. The skate of claim 2 wherein the sole support is provided with a second stop located above the point of attachment of the brake shoe to the sole support such that the range of rotation of the brake shoe upon rebound is below the level of the height of the second stop.

The skate of claim 2 wherein the first sleeve-fixing means comprises a fixing rod and two sleeve-fixing screws, the fixing rod is vertically disposed at the tail of the sole support, the fixing rod is located at the sole support at a position not exceeding the ankle position of the user, the sleeve-fixing screws are located at the upper ends of the fixing rod, and the sleeve-fixing screws are respectively connected with the ends of the first sleeve and the second sleeve.
5. The skate of claim 2 wherein the second brake cable is secured to the brake shoe by a brake cable mounting screw and the third sleeve mounting means further includes a spring retainer, the end of the second spring adjacent the third sleeve mounting means being in abutment with the spring retainer.
6. The skate of claim 1 wherein the first brake string is secured to the user's ankle by a tension-free nylon collar secured to one end of the first brake string and the user's cuff.
7. The skate of claim 2 wherein the brake pad is made of a non-asbestos non-steel fiber type friction material.
