本发明实施例提供一种确定热点地址的方法及其设备，所述方法应用于多核处理器系统，包括：在目标时段内，根据第i段地址的访问匹配条件，获取在所述第i段地址的访问匹配条件下的访问次数，其中，所述第i段地址的访问匹配条件包括所述第i段地址的地址字段，所述第i段地址为N段地址中的一段地址，1≤i≤N，N为正整数；根据所述N段地址中每段地址在对应的访问匹配条件下的访问次数，确定所述N段地址中的热点地址。因此，本发明实施例提供了一种能够确定访问热点地址的方法，能够准确、高效地检测到多核共享变量的访问情况，为系统性能优化提供依据。
