Description

Network side equipment, terminal and neighbor cell measurement method thereof
Technical Field
The embodiment of the invention relates to the field of communication, in particular to network side equipment, a terminal and a neighbor cell measurement method thereof.
Background
According to the requirements of Long Term Evolution (LTE) communication and a New Radio (NR) protocol, a Network side device (Network) allocates a measurement gap (measuremengap) to a Terminal (Terminal) served by the Network side device, and in the measurement gap, the Terminal only performs neighbor cell measurement without receiving and transmitting an uplink and downlink traffic channel, a control channel or a reference signal. However, in general, it is not sufficient to perform neighbor cell measurement only by using the measurement interval allocated by the network side device, and problems such as measurement delay and handover failure are likely to occur. In addition, since the terminal does not need to send or receive data in some time intervals in Discontinuous Reception (DRX), the terminal may also use the time intervals of discontinuous reception to perform neighbor cell measurement in many application scenarios, so that the service itself is not affected, and the measurement delay may be reduced. In general, these Time intervals may be subframes (subframes) or slots (slots) or Transmission Time Intervals (TTIs) in discontinuous reception.
At present, similar to the LTE communication system, on the one hand, the 5G system still uses the time interval in discontinuous reception to increase the time for measuring the neighboring cell. On the other hand, when the time interval in the discontinuous reception is not enough to perform the neighbor cell measurement, there is a method of opening a new radio frequency resource to perform the neighbor cell measurement.

Compared with the prior art, the technical scheme of the embodiment of the invention has the following advantages:

Detailed Description
As background art, a Network side device (Network) allocates a Measurement interval (Measurement GAP) to a Terminal (Terminal) served by the Network side device, and in the Measurement interval, the Terminal only performs neighbor cell Measurement without receiving and transmitting an uplink and downlink traffic channel, a control channel, or a reference signal, specifically, performs Measurement of an inter-frequency neighbor cell and an inter-system neighbor cell. For example, in the LTE system, the measurement interval format may be configured as shown in table 1, the terminal supports the measurement interval format, and one GAP time is defined as 6ms, and the period correspondingly exists in both 40ms and 80 ms.
Figure BDA0001454351560000061
TABLE 1
Also, in the LTE system, there is a measurement interval configuration in the following form, specifically referring to table 2, where table 2 shows a Closed Subscriber Group (NCSG) configuration. In table 2, likewise, the terminal supports the measurement interval format.
Figure BDA0001454351560000071
TABLE 2
Comparing table 2 with table 1, the terminal supports the measurement interval format as such, but the measurement interval is compressed to 4ms and 3ms in table 2. For the terminal. This configuration has fewer measurement opportunities available. Therefore, in general, it is not sufficient to perform neighbor cell measurement only by using the measurement interval allocated by the network side device, and problems such as measurement delay and handover failure are likely to occur.
At this time, the terminal may also perform neighbor cell measurement using some discontinuous reception time intervals that do not need to send or receive data, so that the service itself is not affected, and the measurement delay can be reduced. In general, these time intervals may be sub-frames or slots (slots) or Transmission Time Intervals (TTIs) in discontinuous reception.
The principle of defining the measurement interval in 3GPP is similar to that in LTE and NR, but since the frame structures of different Sequence Control Systems (SCS) are different, the definition of the measurement interval is different from that in LTE, and the kinds of interval lengths may increase. Moreover, as the 5G frequency band definition covers micro 6G (sub-6G) and millimeter Wave (mm Wave), the supported frequency band range and the future heterogeneous network distribution scene are more complicated, the number of the future adjacent cells is also more than that of 2G, 3G and 4G which only support sub-6G currently, and then, in combination with the service type and the time delay control, considering the diversity of the terminal form, for example, the number of SIM cards processed in each SIM card independent mode, specifically, a single card terminal, a double card terminal and a three card terminal, the future 5G network is combined with 2G, 3G and 4G networks which may coexist, so as to ensure that the basic service is not affected, and the requirement on the terminal measurement capability is higher.
Therefore, how to improve the duration of the neighbor cell measurement performed by the 5G terminal while considering both the power consumption and the quality of the communication service is still a difficult problem to be solved urgently.
In order to solve the above problem, in the embodiment of the present invention, when the current allocated time interval of discontinuous reception is not sufficient for performing current neighbor cell measurement, the terminal may obtain an extended time interval of discontinuous reception by initiating reconfiguration of a discontinuous reception configuration parameter, and when determining whether to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameter, the network side device refers to the current requirement for communication service quality and does not need to additionally open a new radio frequency resource, so that the quality of communication service and low power consumption may be simultaneously maintained while increasing the time interval of neighbor cell measurement of the 5G terminal.
In order to make the aforementioned objects, features and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention comprehensible, specific embodiments accompanied with figures are described in detail below.
Before the description, the discontinuous reception configuration parameters are introduced for the convenience of understanding. Table 3 shows a functional introduction of a discontinuous reception parameter in the embodiment of the present invention, that is, table 3 shows a terminal operation corresponding to a DRX period. Referring to table 3, the discontinuous reception configuration parameters may include the following parameters: a discontinuous reception duration (drx-onDuration Timer), an inactive duration (drx-Inactivity Timer), a discontinuous reception downlink Retransmission duration (drx-Retransmission Timer DL), a discontinuous reception uplink Retransmission duration (drx-Retransmission Timer UL), a discontinuous reception Long period (drx-Long Cycle), a discontinuous reception Short period (drx-Short Cycle Timer), a discontinuous reception downlink Retransmission duration (drx-HARQ-RTT-TimerDL), and a discontinuous reception uplink Retransmission duration (drx-HARQ-RTT-Timer UL). Of course, those skilled in the art may set the drx configuration parameters to include other types of parameters according to actual needs.

TABLE 3
For the inactive duration and the retransmission duration, if x is 0, the timer may not control the terminal to perform the key control of the physical downlink control channel.
Fig. 1 shows a flowchart of a method for measuring a neighboring cell in an embodiment of the present invention, and referring to fig. 1, the method may specifically include the following steps:
step S11: and judging whether the discontinuous reception time interval distributed by the network side equipment is enough to carry out the current neighbor cell measurement.
In a specific implementation, the terminal may specifically determine whether the discontinuous reception time interval allocated by the network-side device is sufficient for performing current neighbor cell measurement according to the neighbor cell state, the measurement interval, the discontinuous reception configuration parameter configured by the network-side device, and the current channel quality. In other words, the terminal may determine whether the allocated discontinuous reception time or time interval is sufficient for the terminal to measure according to the discontinuous reception configuration parameter configured by the network and the current channel quality on the basis of the measurement interval allocated by the system according to the inter-frequency and/or inter-system neighboring cell condition.
It should be noted that, compared to LTE, a Bandwidth Part (BWP) policy is further added in 5G, and for convenience of understanding, fig. 2 illustrates a BWP policy in the embodiment of the present invention, because a 5G independent rf chip or a multi-mode rf chip integrated with 4G, 3G, and 2G has a multi-channel characteristic supporting a flexible configuration channel model (channel mode), a terminal may use a flexible usage channel with a downlink multi-channel parallel capability, each terminal may configure multiple BWPs, and multiple BWPs carry services by activating and deactivating the BWPs.
Referring to fig. 2, since the BMP is also a target that requires the terminal to measure within the allocated drx time interval, when the terminal is configured with BWPs, x BWPs in the BWPs are activated, and the scheduling rate of the activated x BWPs is greater than the preset scheduling threshold, it is more likely that the drx time interval is insufficient for the terminal to perform current neighbor measurement, so in a specific implementation, on the basis that BWPs are configured, x BWPs in the BWPs are activated, and the scheduling rate of the activated x BWPs is greater than the preset scheduling threshold, the terminal may perform the operation of determining whether the drx time interval currently allocated by the network-side device is sufficient for performing current neighbor measurement; wherein: x is not less than 1 and x is an integer. In an embodiment of the present invention, the scheduling threshold Y may be set to be Y-80%. The scheduling threshold Y can be set to other values according to actual needs by those skilled in the art.
In specific implementation, the network may set parameters based on network deployment and network optimization, and the terminal may determine whether the discontinuous reception time interval currently allocated by the network side device is sufficient for performing current neighbor cell measurement. The psf may be in units of subframes, for example, when the duration is long, such as psf10, and the period of discontinuous reception is configured to be psf20, considering that the terminal needs to perform operations such as configuring an initialization radio frequency in advance before the next discontinuous reception period, the terminal does not really need time for transmitting and receiving data, that is, the duration that can be reserved for measurement is not enough to perform synchronization and measurement operations, so that the terminal cannot use discontinuous reception to perform neighbor synchronization and measurement, and thus it may be determined that the time interval of discontinuous reception is not enough to perform current neighbor measurement.
When the time interval of the discontinuous reception is not enough for performing the current neighbor cell measurement, executing step S12; otherwise, the process continues to step S11.
Step S12: and sending a message representing that the request for reconfiguring the discontinuous reception configuration parameters to the network side equipment, so that the network side equipment judges whether to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameters according to the current communication service quality requirement.
In a specific implementation, while sending the message representing the request to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameter to the network side device, the network side device may also report a message representing a reason why the request to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameter to the network side device, for example, the reason may be indicated as Radio Resource Management (RRM) or power saving (power saving) or other types, so that the network side device may be convenient to correspondingly process a subsequent reconfiguration flow according to the reason why the request is reconfigured, and thus, the reconfiguration efficiency may be improved.
In order to improve the pertinence of parameter reconfiguration, in a specific implementation, the message for characterizing the request of reconfiguring the discontinuous reception configuration parameters may be directed to a single or multiple serving cells.
In a specific implementation, when the message characterizing the request to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameter is directed to a part of serving cells, the message characterizing the request to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameter may further include: identity information of the serving cell. In an embodiment of the present invention, the identity information may be a cell index (Serving CellIndex) of the Serving cell. Those skilled in the art can set other forms of identity information according to actual needs, as long as the identity information can be used for identifying the serving cell.
In a specific implementation, the message for characterizing the request to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameters is specific to a single or multiple BWPs, so that the configuration pertinence can be improved. In an embodiment of the present invention, the message for characterizing that the request for reconfiguring the discontinuous reception configuration parameter further includes: index information of the BWP. Those skilled in the art may set other forms of identity information according to actual needs, as long as the identity information can be used for recognizing BWP.
According to the above, the drx parameter modification request message initiated by the terminal to the network side device may be for a single or multiple serving cells (serving cells) and/or for a single or multiple BWPs (bandwidth part), or may be separately applied for drx parameter modification request messages for each serving cell or BMP, and the request message may carry a cell identifier (cell ID) indicating which serving cell is specific and/or BMP index (BWP index) information indicating which BMP is specific.
Step S13: and when the updated discontinuous reception configuration parameter message is received after the message representing the request of the network side equipment for evaluating the reconfiguration discontinuous reception configuration parameters is received, obtaining the prolonged discontinuous reception time interval.
To sum up, in the embodiment of the present invention, when the currently allocated time interval of discontinuous reception is not sufficient for performing current neighbor cell measurement, the terminal obtains an extended time interval of discontinuous reception by initiating reconfiguration of a discontinuous reception configuration parameter, and the network side device refers to the current communication service quality requirement when determining whether to need to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameter, and does not need to additionally open a new radio frequency resource, so that the quality of a communication service and low power consumption can be simultaneously maintained when the neighbor cell measurement time of the 5G terminal is prolonged. The embodiment of the invention is a strategy negotiated by the terminal and the network, so the strategy can provide more requirement information on the terminal strategy for the network to adjust the scheduling strategy or the parameter configuration, and improve the pertinence of the parameter configuration.
To enable those skilled in the art to better understand and implement the present invention, fig. 3 shows a flowchart of a method for measuring a neighboring cell in the embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 3, the method may include the following steps:
step S31: whether a message which represents that the discontinuous reception configuration parameters are required to be reconfigured is received or not is detected.
When receiving the message for indicating that the request for reconfiguring the discontinuous reception configuration parameters is received, executing step S32; otherwise, the process continues to step S31.
Step S32: and judging whether to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameters or not according to the network user load, the channel quality reported by the terminal and the current communication service quality requirement.
In specific implementation, after receiving an application of a message of a terminal for representing a request to reconfigure a discontinuous reception configuration parameter, a network side device may determine whether to reconfigure a discontinuous reception configuration and how to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration according to a network user bearer, channel quality reported by the terminal, and a scheduling policy of the network side device.
When it is determined to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameters, performing step S33; otherwise, the process is ended, i.e. the current parameter configuration is maintained
Step S33: the extended discontinuous reception time interval is configured accordingly.
In a specific implementation, the configuring the extended discontinuous reception time interval includes configuring at least one of the following parameters: a discontinuous reception duration (drx-onDuration Timer), a discontinuous reception Inactivity time (drx-Inactivity Timer), a discontinuous reception downlink Retransmission time (drx-Retransmission Timer DL), a discontinuous reception uplink Retransmission time (drx-Retransmission Timer UL), a discontinuous reception long period (drx-LongCycle), a discontinuous reception Short period (drx-Short Cycle), a discontinuous reception downlink Retransmission time (drx-HARQ-RTT-Timer DL), and a discontinuous reception uplink Retransmission time (drx-HARQ-RTT-Timer UL).
Since the correlation between the discontinuous reception short cycle and the discontinuous reception time interval is relatively high, in order to improve the speed of configuring the extended time interval, in a specific implementation, the network side device may preferentially configure an extended discontinuous reception short cycle (DRX-short cycle) to obtain the extended discontinuous reception time interval. In practical applications, those skilled in the art can set parameters other than the discontinuous reception short period according to actual needs to obtain an extended discontinuous reception time interval.
To sum up, when receiving a message from a terminal that represents a request to reconfigure a discontinuous reception configuration parameter, the embodiment of the present invention determines whether the discontinuous reception configuration parameter needs to be reconfigured, and when determining, refers to the current communication service quality requirement, and does not need to additionally open a new radio frequency resource, so that the quality of the communication service and the low power consumption can be simultaneously maintained when the time duration of the measurement of the neighboring cell of the 5G terminal is increased. Moreover, even if more pilot frequencies or different system adjacent cells exist, the service quality can be ensured not to be influenced, and the measurement time delay and the measurement performance can be improved to the greatest extent.
In order to enable those skilled in the art to better understand and implement the present invention, fig. 4 illustrates a schematic structural diagram of a terminal in an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 4, the terminal may include: interval judgment unit 41, transmission unit 42, and reception unit 43, wherein:
the interval determining unit 41 may be adapted to determine whether the discontinuous reception time interval currently allocated by the network side device is sufficient for performing the current neighbor cell measurement.
The sending unit 42 may be adapted to send a message indicating that a request for reconfiguring the discontinuous reception configuration parameter is requested to the network side device when the discontinuous reception time interval is not enough for performing current neighbor cell measurement, so that the network side device determines whether to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameter according to a current communication service quality requirement.
The receiving unit 43 may be adapted to obtain an extended discontinuous reception time interval when receiving an updated discontinuous reception configuration parameter message after receiving a message that characterizes a request of the network-side device to evaluate the reconfiguration discontinuous reception configuration parameter.
In summary, in the embodiment of the present invention, when the interval determining unit 41 determines that the currently allocated time interval of discontinuous reception is not sufficient for performing current neighbor cell measurement, the sending unit 42 obtains an extended time interval of discontinuous reception by initiating reconfiguration of a discontinuous reception configuration parameter, and when determining whether to need to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameter, the network side device refers to the current requirement for communication service quality and does not need to additionally open a new radio frequency resource, so that the quality of communication service and low power consumption can be simultaneously maintained when the time duration of neighbor cell measurement of the 5G terminal is increased.
In a specific implementation, the interval determining unit 41 may be adapted to determine whether the discontinuous reception time interval allocated by the network-side device is sufficient for performing current neighbor cell measurement according to the neighbor cell state, the measurement interval, the discontinuous reception configuration parameter configured by the network side, and the current channel quality.
In a specific implementation, the interval determining unit 41 may be further adapted to, when BWPs are configured, and x BWPs in the BWPs are activated, and a scheduling rate of the activated x BWPs is greater than a preset scheduling threshold, perform the operation of determining whether a discontinuous reception time interval currently allocated by the network-side device is sufficient for performing current neighbor cell measurement; wherein: x is not less than 1 and x is an integer.
In a specific implementation, the sending unit 42 may be further adapted to send a message indicating that the request for reconfiguring the discontinuous reception configuration parameter to the network side device, and report a message indicating a reason for requesting to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameter to the network side device.
In a specific implementation, the message for characterizing the request to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameters may be for a single or multiple serving cells.
In a specific implementation, the characterizing the message requesting to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameter may further include: identity information of the serving cell.
In a specific implementation, the identity information may be a cell index of the serving cell.
In a specific implementation, the message for characterizing the request to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameters is for a single or multiple BWPs.
In a specific implementation, the message for characterizing the request to reconfigure the discontinuous reception configuration parameter further includes: index information of the BWP.
In order to enable those skilled in the art to better understand and implement the present invention, fig. 5 illustrates a schematic structural diagram of a network-side device in an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 5, the network-side device may include: a detection unit 51, a parameter determination unit 52 and a configuration unit 53, wherein:
a detecting unit 51, which may be adapted to detect whether a message from the terminal is received to indicate that the reconfiguration of the discontinuous reception configuration parameters is requested;
