Description

Configuration method of terminal context, network equipment and terminal
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method for configuring a context of a terminal, a network device, and a terminal.

And when the UE needs to interact with the network side on the corresponding RAN, the UE context and the data stored on the RAN are used for completing the corresponding interaction. In order to use the context and data, RRC (radio resource control) signaling configuration procedure is first started, end-to-end context synchronization is completed, and then data transceiving is performed.
The purpose of introducing an inactive state into 5G is that the UE can complete the interaction with the network side with low delay, and the above-mentioned manner of storing the UE context and data into RAN cannot avoid the delay of completing the end-to-end UE context synchronization in the RRC signaling process.

Detailed Description
Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. While exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are shown in the drawings, it should be understood that the present disclosure may be embodied in various forms and should not be limited to the embodiments set forth herein. Rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be thorough and complete, and will fully convey the scope of the disclosure to those skilled in the art.
In the embodiment of the invention, the context of the UE is directly established on the network side and the terminal side instead of being only stored on the RAN, meanwhile, in order to reduce the power consumption of the UE, the UE keeps out of step when the connection of the physical layer has no service interaction, and when the network side and the terminal side need to interact, only the physical layer link needs to be activated (synchronized).
As shown in fig. 1, an embodiment of the present invention provides a method for configuring a context of a terminal, including:
step 11, establishing a context of a terminal supporting an inactive state on a network device, and controlling a physical layer connection of the terminal to be in the inactive state when the connection is not interacted with the network device;
and step 12, activating the connection of the physical layer of the terminal when the terminal and the network equipment interact.
In the embodiment of the invention, the context of the terminal supporting the inactive state is established on the network equipment, and the connection of the physical layer of the terminal is controlled to be in the inactive state when the connection is not interacted with the network equipment; and when the terminal and the network equipment interact, activating the connection of the physical layer of the terminal. The context of the terminal is not only stored in the RAN, the connection of the physical layer of the terminal is controlled to be in an inactive state when the connection of the physical layer of the terminal is not interacted with the network equipment, the power consumption of the terminal is reduced, when the network side and the terminal side need to interact, only the physical layer link needs to be activated (synchronized), the timeliness of the context synchronization of the end-to-end terminal is ensured, and the time delay caused by the fact that the RRC signaling process completes the context synchronization of the end-to-end UE is avoided.
Specifically, the first implementation process in this embodiment includes:
step 111, when the connection state of the terminal is switched to the non-activation state, establishing the context of the terminal on the network equipment;
and further, may also include: step 112, reserving the terminal context stored on the network device, the terminal and the Radio Access Network (RAN) device in communication connection with the terminal and the network device respectively when the terminal is in the connection state;
specifically, the context and corresponding configuration information of the terminal at the L2/L3 layer are reserved; reserving the context and corresponding configuration information of an NG interface of a terminal between network equipment and a core network; and reserving the context and corresponding configuration information of the terminal in the core network and the protocol layer above.
Specifically, the specific embodiment reduces the time delay of the UE access by pre-configuring the UE context. When the UE enters the RRC _ Connected state, the context of the UE is synchronized on the network side and the terminal side, and when the UE needs to pass through the RRC _ Connected state and then transits to the RRC _ inactive state, when the user transits the state:
A) the context and corresponding configuration of the UE at L2/L3 are not deleted (reserved); the L2 layer is a data link layer, and the L3 layer is a network layer;
B) the context and corresponding configuration of the UE on the NG interface (the interface between the 5G base station and the 5G core network) is not deleted (retained),
C) the context and relevant configuration of the UE in the core network and the protocol layer above are not deleted (reserved);
D) only the air interface link of the UE at L1 (physical layer) is deleted.
Thus, the UE does not need to consume power to ensure air interface synchronization. When the network side and the terminal side need to exchange information, synchronization of an air interface link only needs to be completed through a fast interaction mode of an MAC layer (for example, introducing a new MAC CE format) or a PHY layer (for example, introducing a new DCI format of a PDCCH (physical downlink control channel) or a new UCI format of a PUCCH (physical uplink control channel), or other control modes).
Specifically, the second implementation process in this embodiment includes:
step 211, when the terminal directly enters the inactive state, establishing a context of the terminal supporting the inactive state on the network device, and controlling the connection of the physical layer of the terminal to be in the inactive state when the connection of the physical layer of the terminal does not interact with the network device by not establishing the connection of the physical layer of the terminal;
the establishing of the context of the terminal supporting the inactive state on the network device includes: when the terminal directly enters an inactive state, the network equipment establishes the context and corresponding configuration information of the terminal at L2/L3; the network equipment establishes the context and corresponding configuration information of an NG interface between the network equipment and a core network; and the network equipment establishes the context and corresponding configuration information of the terminal in the core network and the protocol layer above.
Specifically, if the UE can transition to RRC _ Inactive state without going through RRC _ Connected state, when the user enters RRC _ Inactive state:
A) the network side establishes the context and corresponding configuration of the UE at L2/L3;
B) the network side establishes the context and corresponding configuration of the UE on an NG interface (a direct interface between a 5G base station and a 5G core network);
C) the network side establishes the context and relevant configuration of the UE in the core network and the protocol layer above;
D) the network side temporarily does not establish an air interface link of the UE at L1 (physical layer).
Thus, the UE does not need to consume power to ensure air interface synchronization. When the network side and the terminal side need to exchange information, it is only necessary to complete synchronization of an air interface link through a fast interaction mode of an MAC layer (for example, introducing a new MAC CE format) or a PHY layer (for example, introducing a new DCI format of a PDCCH or a new UCI format of a PUCCH, or other control modes).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the step 12 may specifically include:
and step 121, when the terminal and the network device interact with each other, completing synchronization of an air interface link of the terminal and the network device by a rapid interaction mode of a Media Access Control (MAC) layer or a physical layer.
Specifically, synchronization of the terminal and the air interface link of the network device is completed through a media access control unit MAC CE signaling of the MAC layer or new downlink control information DCI transmitted through a physical downlink control channel PDCCH of the physical layer.
In an embodiment of the present invention, when the UE moves, in order to ensure fast access in the moving state, the UE context needs to be stored on several RANs simultaneously (currently Inactive state is defined as follows):
if the RAN is a network side base station initially accessed by the UE, establishing the context of the terminal on network equipment; furthermore, when the terminal is in a connection state, the context of the terminal stored in the network device, the terminal and the wireless receiving network device which is respectively in communication connection with the terminal and the network device is reserved;
specifically, the context and corresponding configuration information of the terminal at the L2/L3 layer are reserved; reserving the context and corresponding configuration information of an NG interface of a terminal between network equipment and a core network; and the establishment and synchronization of the UE context are completed in a mode of reserving the context of the terminal in the core network and the protocol layers above and corresponding configuration information.
If the RAN is not the initial access base station of the UE, such as the broadcasted UE context received from the initial access base station, controlling the connection of the physical layer of the terminal to be in an inactive state when not interacting with the network device by establishing the context of the terminal supporting the inactive state on the network device and by not establishing the connection of the terminal on the physical layer;
the establishing of the context of the terminal supporting the inactive state on the network device includes: when the terminal directly enters an inactive state, the network equipment establishes the context and corresponding configuration information of the terminal at L2/L3; the network equipment establishes the context and corresponding configuration information of an NG interface between the network equipment and a core network; and the network equipment establishes the context of the terminal in the core network and the protocol layers above and corresponding configuration information to complete the establishment and synchronization of the UE context.
When the UE moves, the UE only needs to keep the context information unchanged, and does not need to trigger the switching signaling processing of an RRC layer between the base stations.
Further, in a specific embodiment of the present invention, when the network device is a source network device connected to the terminal, the source network device sends uplink synchronization information used by a target network device to which the terminal is to move to the terminal. For example, if the UE keeps synchronization and interaction at the source base station, the source base station sends uplink synchronization related information (such as preamble code, cell identifier, or beam identifier) used by the target base station to the UE.
Further, in the specific embodiment of the present invention, when the terminal moves into the coverage of the target network device and needs to interact with the target network device, the target network device sends broadcast information to the terminal, so that if the terminal determines, through the broadcast information of the target network device, that the target network device is specified by the source network device, the terminal can directly initiate synchronization with the target network device; otherwise, the terminal selects the public access information of the cell of the target network equipment to complete the synchronization with the target network equipment. For example, when a user moves to a coverage area of a target base station and needs to interact with the target base station, if the UE determines that the UE is the base station specified by the source base station through the broadcast information of the target base station, the UE may directly initiate synchronization;
if the UE judges that the target base station is not the base station appointed by the source base station through the target base station broadcast information, the public access information of the cell of the target base station is required to be selected to complete the uplink synchronization request;
in the uplink synchronization process, the network side and the terminal side complete corresponding UE context identification and synchronization.
In an embodiment of the present invention, in order to ensure fast access in the mobile state, it is necessary to store UE contexts (as defined in the current Inactive state) on several RANs simultaneously.
After introducing the pre-configured UE context, when the terminal leaves the coverage of the wireless access network, deleting the context of the terminal on the wireless access network.
Specifically, when the terminal leaves a paging tracking area TAC set by the radio access network, deleting contexts of the terminal on all radio access networks in the TAC; for example, when a UE leaves the coverage of a RAN, it needs to be ensured that the context of the UE is deleted and emptied under appropriate conditions; with a paging Tracking Area (TAC) set on a network side as a standard, all base stations in the TAC pre-establish a context of the UE. When the UE leaves the TAC, the context of the UE on all RANs within the TAC is deleted and the data is emptied. When a UE enters a TAC, the context of the UE is established on all RANs within the TAC.
According to the embodiment of the invention, the UE state is preconfigured on the network equipment, and is sunk to the air interface, so that the quick response can be made according to the behavior of the UE at the air interface, the characteristic of 5G multi-service can be met, the UE supporting the non-activated state can be timely and quickly synchronized when being synchronized with the network side, and the time delay caused by end-to-end synchronization through RRC signaling is avoided.
An embodiment of the present invention further provides a network device, including:
the processor is used for establishing the context of the terminal supporting the inactive state on the network equipment and controlling the connection of the physical layer of the terminal to be in the inactive state when the connection of the physical layer of the terminal does not interact with the network equipment;
and the transceiver is used for activating the connection of the physical layer of the terminal when the terminal and the network equipment interact.

Wherein the processor is further configured to: and reserving the context of the terminal stored in the network equipment, the terminal and the wireless receiving network equipment which is respectively in communication connection with the terminal and the network equipment when the terminal is in a connection state.
