Because the gap between the two half claw assemblies is larger than the outer diameter of the sucker rod coupling when the two half claw assemblies are at the maximum opening degree, the limiting part 16 and the limiting block 17 are fixedly arranged on the shell 2 in order to prevent the sucker rod coupling from excessively ascending or being deviated to one side to clamp the claws so that the claw cannot be closed; this defines the upper limit position of the sucker rod coupling when the elevator is down.
