[ printing processing by the printing apparatus 100 ]
Next, a printing process of the printing apparatus 100 will be described with reference to fig. 4 to 7A and 7B. The printing process of the printing apparatus 100 includes: a single printing process of performing printing only in accordance with 1 piece of print data received from 1 piece of external equipment 200 on the print medium M; and a continuous printing process of continuously performing printing on the printing medium M in accordance with a plurality of print data received from the plurality of external devices 200, respectively.
In fig. 4, 5A and 5B, and 6A to 6E, P represents a direction in which the print medium M is conveyed.
[ Single printing treatment ]
Fig. 4 is an explanatory diagram showing a single printing process of the printing apparatus 100 according to the embodiment of the present invention, fig. 5A and 5B are diagrams showing labels L11, L12 printed in the single printing process shown in fig. 4, fig. 5A is a diagram showing a1 st label L11 printed in the single printing process, and fig. 5B is a diagram showing a2 nd label L12 printed in the single printing process after a predetermined time has elapsed after the 1 st label L11 is printed. That is, fig. 5B shows a state in which printing is not continued after the printing shown in fig. 5A, but printing is performed again after a certain amount of time has elapsed.
Fig. 4 shows the following states: after the printing mechanism 120 prints an image on the print medium M in accordance with the print data "あいうえお" received from the external device 200, the cutter 140 cuts the label L11 from the print medium M by performing full cutting FC. Further, when the separation is performed, the size becomes large as shown in fig. 5A. A margin portion La of a given length a1 is provided at the head portion of the label L11. As shown in fig. 4, the margin La is provided because the cutting position of the cutter 140 is disposed at a position separated from the printing position of the printing mechanism 120 by a distance CP toward the downstream side in the conveyance direction of the printing medium M. Then, the cutter 140 performs half-cutting HC between the printed portion Lb and the margin La formed in accordance with the print data. The margin La thus provided can be easily separated from the printed portion Lb and can be used as a margin when the release paper Mb is peeled from the printed portion Lb.
After the 1 st label L11 is printed, the print medium M is printed again with an image in accordance with the print data "かきくけこ" received from the external device 200, thereby obtaining a2 nd label L12 shown in fig. 5B. Specifically, from the state shown in fig. 4, printing is performed on the printing medium M by the printing mechanism 120 while the printing medium M is conveyed by the belt conveyor 130 in accordance with the print data "かきくけこ", an image of the print data "かきくけこ" is printed on the printing medium M, and after the printing medium M reaches the cutter 140 at a position that becomes the trailing end of the margin La, the printing is interrupted, and the printing medium M is half-cut HC by the cutter 140. After the half cut HC is performed, the printing is resumed, and after the printing is performed until the printing of the image of the print data "かきくけこ" is completed, the conveyance of the print medium M by the belt conveyor 130 is further continued, and after the position of the print medium M which is the trailing end of the print portion Lb reaches the cutter 140, the full cut FC is performed on the print medium M, thereby obtaining the 2 nd label L12. Here, the image printed on the printing medium M by the printing mechanism 120 is composed of a plurality of printing lines along the conveyance direction of the printing medium M. Then, the printing of the image on the printing medium M by the printing mechanism 120 is performed by printing the printing lines (hereinafter also referred to as 1-line printing) in order along the conveyance direction of the printing medium M, and the printing of the image is completed when the printing is performed to the final printing line. This is also the same in the following continuous printing process.
[ continuous printing treatment ]
Fig. 6A to 6E are explanatory views showing a continuous printing process of the printing apparatus 100 according to the embodiment of the present invention, fig. 6A is a view showing a state in which print data of the user B is received in printing of the label L21 based on the print data transmitted by the user a, fig. 6B is a view showing a state in which half-cut HC is performed at a position between printing of the print data of the user a and printing of the identification image SA identifying the user a printed next to the printing, fig. 6C is a view showing a state in which full-cut FC is performed at a position between printing of the identification image SA identifying the user a and printing of the print data of the user B printed next to the identification image SA, fig. 6D is a view showing a state in which half-cut HC is performed at a position between printing of the print data of the user B and printing of the identification image SB identifying the user B printed next to the printing, fig. 6E is a diagram showing a state in which full cut FC is performed at the rear position of printing of the identification image SB for identifying the user B, fig. 7A and 7B are diagrams showing labels L21 and L22 printed in the continuous printing process shown in fig. 6A to 6E, fig. 7A is a diagram showing a label L21 printed according to the print data of the user a, and fig. 7B is a diagram showing a label L22 printed according to the print data of the user B. That is, the continuous printing process shown in fig. 6A to 6E is a process when the printing apparatus 100 receives print data for continuous printing.
As shown in fig. 6A to 6E and fig. 7A and 7B, in the continuous printing process in which the printing medium M continuously prints a plurality of print data received from the external apparatuses 200 of a plurality of users (for example, user a and user B), the identification images SA and SB of the user A, B that identify the print data are also printed on the printed labels L21 and L22. According to the continuous printing process, even if print data is transmitted from the external device 200 of the user A, B to the printing apparatus 100 at substantially the same time and the plurality of printed and separated labels L21 and L22 are mixed together, it is possible to easily identify which label L21 and L22 is which user A, B based on the identification images SA and SB printed on the labels L21 and L22.
The identification images SA and SB for identifying the user A, B of the print data may be the name of the user A, B, or an ID number, a nickname, a symbol, a figure, or the like preset for each user A, B. In order to print the identification images SA and SB for identifying the user A, B, the printing apparatus 100 needs to be able to recognize who is the user A, B in the print data. In the recognition processing of the user A, B, for example, when the external device 200 of the user A, B is registered in the printing apparatus 100, the identification information (name or the like) of the user A, B may be registered together with the identification information of the external device 200, and the print data from the external device 200 may be regarded as the data of the registered user A, B. The transmitted print data may be attached with identification information (name, etc.) of the user A, B.
As shown in fig. 6A to 6E and fig. 7A and 7B, the printing apparatus 100 according to the present embodiment performs the continuous printing process, continues printing of the print data on the print medium M conveyed by the belt conveying device 130, and performs printing of the identification images SA and SB of the user A, B that identifies the print data corresponding to the printing. That is, in the examples shown in fig. 6A to 6E and fig. 7A and 7B, there are obtained: a1 st label L21 having an identification image portion Lc on which an identification image SA identifying the user a is printed after the printed portion Lb in accordance with the print data "あいうえお" of the user a; and a2 nd label L22 having an identification image portion Lc on which the identification image SB identifying the user B is printed after the printed portion Lb in accordance with the print data "かきくいこ" of the user B. According to such a continuous printing process, even when the print data of the user B is received during printing of the label L21 in the single printing process according to the print data of the user a (see fig. 6A), the process can be immediately switched to the continuous printing process, and the identification image SA for identifying the user a is printed on the rear side of the label L21 according to the print data of the user a.
As shown in fig. 6A to 6E and fig. 7A and 7B, when the continuous printing process is performed, the printing device 100 according to the present embodiment performs the half cut HC (see fig. 6B and 6D) at a position between the print portion Lb of the print data and the recognition image portion Lc where the recognition images SA and SB are printed next to the print, and performs the full cut FC (see fig. 6C and 6E) at a position between the recognition image portion Lc and the print portion Lb of the other print data printed next to the recognition image portion Lc. Such a recognized image portion Lc can be easily separated from the printed portion Lb, and can also be used as a margin when the release paper Mb is peeled off from the printed portion Lb. In addition, according to the continuous printing process, the margin La is not formed in the label L22 of the 2 nd and subsequent sheets, and therefore the amount of the printing medium M used can be reduced. Further, since the length a2 of the recognition image portion Lc shown in fig. 6A to 6E and fig. 7A and 7B is set shorter than the length a1 of the margin portion La, an increase in the amount of use of the printing medium M due to the addition of the recognition image portion Lc can be suppressed.
[ specific printing processing sequence ]
Next, a specific print processing procedure performed by the control device 110 of the printing device 100 that realizes the single print processing and the continuous print processing as described above will be described with reference to fig. 8 and 9.
Fig. 8 is a flowchart showing a print processing procedure of the printing apparatus 100 according to the embodiment of the present invention, and fig. 9 is a flowchart showing a continuous print processing procedure of the printing apparatus 100 according to the embodiment of the present invention.
Upon receiving the print data from the external device 200, the control device 110 of the printing apparatus 100 starts the printing process shown in fig. 8. After the controller 110 of the printing apparatus 100 expands the received print data into 1 line of print data for 1 line printing (step S11), the printing mechanism 120 and the tape conveyor 130 start 1 line printing in accordance with the 1 line of print data (step S12), and during execution of the printing, it is determined whether the print medium M has reached the half-cut position of the head (step S13). If the control device 110 of the printing apparatus 100 determines that the print medium M has reached the half-cut position of the top line (yes at step S13), it interrupts printing for 1 line and causes the cutter 140 to execute the half-cut HC (step S14).
Next, the controller 110 of the printing apparatus 100 reopens the printing mechanism 120 and the belt conveying device 130 for 1 line of printing (step S15), and determines whether the printing has reached the final printing line position while executing the reopened 1 line of printing (step S16). If it is determined that printing has reached the final line of printing (yes at step S16), the control device 110 of the printing apparatus 100 ends 1-line printing and determines whether printing is continued, that is, whether there is a next print buffer (buffered print data) (step S17). When determining that printing is not to be continued (no in step S17), the control device 110 of the printing apparatus 100 causes the tape conveying device 130 to convey the print medium M to the full cut position (step S18), and then causes the cutter 140 to execute full cutting FC (step S19). Thereby, the label L11(L12) printed by the single printing process is cut from the print medium M.
On the other hand, if the control device 110 of the printing device 100 determines that the next print buffer (buffered print data) is present and the continuous printing is performed (yes in step S17), the control device executes the continuous printing process shown in fig. 9 (step S20), then executes step S18 and step S19, and ends the printing process.
As shown in fig. 9, when the control device 110 of the printing device 100 starts the continuous printing process, the identification image SA (the name of the printer, etc.) is developed into the printing data in order to print the identification image SA (the name of the printer, etc.) identifying the user a (the printer) who prints the preceding print data (step S31), and then the printing mechanism 120 and the tape transport device 130 start printing of the identification image SA (the name of the printer) according to the printing data (step S32), and determines whether or not the printing reaches the final printing line of the identification image SA while the printing of the identification image SA (the name of the printer) is executed (step S33). If the control device 110 of the printing apparatus 100 determines that the print has reached the final line of the identification image SA (yes at step S33), it then expands the print data into 1 line of print data for 1 line of print data to be printed on the next print data waiting after the preceding print data (step S34).
Then, the control device 110 of the printing apparatus 100 causes the printing mechanism 120 and the belt conveying device 130 to start 1-line printing in accordance with the developed 1-line printing data (step S35), and determines whether or not the printing medium M has reached the half-cut position behind the printing based on the previous printing data while executing the 1-line printing (step S36). If it is determined that the print medium M has reached the rear half-cut position (yes at step S36), the control device 110 of the printing apparatus 100 interrupts the printing of the next 1 line currently being printed and causes the cutter 140 to execute the processing of forming the rear half-cut HC for the front 1 line of printing (step S37).
When the half cut HC is formed, the controller 110 of the printing apparatus 100 subsequently causes the printing mechanism 120 and the belt conveying device 130 to resume the previously interrupted next 1 line of printing (step S38), and determines whether the printing medium M has reached the full cut position behind the printing based on the previous print data while executing the 1 line of printing (step S39). If the control device 110 of the printing apparatus 100 determines that the print medium M has reached the full cut position behind the printing based on the previous print data (yes at step S39), it again interrupts the printing of 1 line and causes the cutter 140 to execute the full cut FC (step S40). The 1 st label L21 thus continuing the printing process is cut off from the print medium M.
Next, the controller 110 of the printing apparatus 100 causes the printing mechanism 120 and the belt conveying device 130 to resume the printing of the next 1 line interrupted previously (step S41), and determines whether the printing has reached the printing final line position while executing the printing of the 1 line (step S42). If the control device 110 of the printing apparatus 100 determines that the print medium M has reached the final line of printing (yes at step S42), it ends printing of the next 1 line in the current printing and determines whether or not the printing is continued, that is, whether or not there is a further next print buffer (step S43). If the control device 110 of the printing apparatus 100 determines that the continuous printing is performed (yes in step S43), the process returns to the beginning of the continuous printing process, and the processes in steps S31 to S42 are repeated.
On the other hand, when the control device 110 of the printing device 100 determines that the printing is not the continuous printing (no in step S43), in order to print the identification image SB of the user B identifying the final print data in the continuous printing, the identification image SB of the user B is developed into the print data (step S44), the printing mechanism 120 and the tape transport device 130 are caused to start printing the identification image SB of the user B according to the print data (step S45), and it is determined whether the printing has reached the final line of the identification image SB while executing the printing (step S46). If it is determined that the printing has reached the final printing line of the identification image SB (yes at step S46), the control device 110 of the printing apparatus 100 determines whether the printing medium M conveyed by the belt conveyor 130 has reached the half-cut position behind the printing based on the final print data after the printing has been completed (step S47), and if the determination result is yes, returns the routine to the upper routine after the cutter 140 executes the half-cut HC (step S48). When the control device 110 of the printing apparatus 100 returns to the upper routine, the tape transport device 130 transports the print medium M to the full cut position (step S18) and then the cutter 140 executes full cutting FC (step S19), in the same manner as described above. The last label L22 that continues the printing process is thereby cut away from the print medium M.
The printing system 1 of the present invention has been described above based on the specific embodiments, but the present invention is not limited to the specific embodiments described above, and various modifications and improvements are included in the technical scope of the present invention, which will be apparent to those skilled in the art from the description of the claims.
The invention described below is defined by the claims appended to the present application. The reference numerals in the appended claims are as if they were originally appended to the scope of the claims in this application.
