Detailed Description
In order to more clearly understand the technical features, objects, and effects of the present invention, embodiments of the present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which like reference numerals refer to like parts throughout.
For the sake of simplicity, the drawings are only schematic representations of the parts relevant to the invention, and do not represent the actual structure of the product. In addition, in order to make the drawings concise and understandable, components having the same structure or function in some of the drawings are only schematically illustrated or only labeled.
Referring to fig. 1 to 4, fig. 1 is a schematic structural view of a roof outer panel for an automobile according to an embodiment of the present invention, fig. 2 is a front view of the roof outer panel shown in fig. 1, fig. 3 is a side view of the roof outer panel shown in fig. 1, and fig. 4 is a plan view of the roof outer panel shown in fig. 1. According to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a roof outer panel 100 for an automobile, the roof outer panel 100 being mounted on a roof.
The roof outer panel 100 may be formed by an integral injection molding process, and in one example, a polypropylene EPDM material, such as PP + EPDM-T30, may be integrally injection molded, although the roof outer panel 100 may be formed of any suitable material, such as a carbon fiber material, in addition to the above materials. By using such a material, the weight of the roof outer panel 100 can be reduced to some extent, and further, the weight reduction of the vehicle body can be facilitated. In addition, the integral injection molding is easier to perform and control than the conventional aluminum stamping process, so that the manufacturing process and efficiency can be simplified.
In the present embodiment, the roof outer panel 100 may include a main body portion 110 and lateral side straps 121 and 122 at both lateral sides of the main body portion 10 and extending in the longitudinal direction. The cross straps 121 and 122 may be respectively connected to a roof rail of the vehicle.
Specifically, a roof opening 111 may be formed in the body portion 110, and the roof opening 111 may have a substantially rectangular shape, and at least a portion of an inner roof panel of the automobile may be exposed to the outside through the roof opening 111.
Since the lateral overlapping portions 121 and 122 and the main body portion 110 are integrally formed by injection molding, a connection gap between the conventional roof outer panel 100 and an additional connection panel is prevented, thereby providing a sealing performance of the roof outer panel to the vehicle compartment.
In addition, both the lateral side straps 121 and 122 can be curled with respect to the main body portion 110 toward the inner side of the roof outer panel 100 toward the cabin behind being mounted to the roof, as shown in fig. 3. After being mounted on the roof, the connection between the two overlapping portions and the roof rail may be substantially at the lower side of the roof outer panel 100, and the connection position may be shielded by the roof outer panel 100 in a top-down view, which helps to improve the sealing performance at the connection gap of the roof outer panel 100 and prevent foreign objects such as external rain and snow from intruding into the cabin interior.
The lateral overlap may each comprise two parts, namely a door position overlap substantially in the front half and a rear overlap substantially in the rear half, the door position overlap being connectable in the vicinity of a door of the motor vehicle and in the vicinity of a door of a roof rail, wherein the roof rail may be a roof rail, and the rear overlap being remote from the door and connectable to a part of the roof rail remote from the door.
In one embodiment, to avoid the connection of the lateral side straps 121 and 122 interfering with the proper assembly and opening and closing of the door, the door position straps may be connected to the roof rail by riveting. For example, as shown in fig. 2, two rivet points 131 may be provided at the door position overlapping portion, and a rivet may be punched at the two rivet points 131 to achieve the connection with the roof side rail. The rear side lap may be bolted to the roof rail, for example, two bolted joints 132 may be provided in the rear side lap to provide connection to the roof rail.
In addition to the above connection, the lateral side straps 121 and 122 may be connected to the roof rail by other connection means, not limited to riveting or bolting.
As for other portions of the roof outer panel 100, for example, the front edge portion 112 of the roof outer panel 100 (i.e., the portion on the front side after the roof outer panel 100 is mounted on the roof) may be bolted to the roof cross member. For example, a plurality of bolting points may be uniformly provided on the front edge portion to allow the roof outer panel 100 to be uniformly stressed, for example, four bolting points may be provided to connect the front edge portion 112. The rear edge portion 113 of the roof outer panel 100 (i.e., the portion at the rear side after the roof outer panel 100 is mounted on the roof) may be connected to a high-level tail lamp bracket (or may be referred to as a high-level stop lamp bracket) of the automobile, and specifically, a plurality of bolt connection points 133 may be provided on the rear edge portion 113 to be connected to the high-level tail lamp bracket. These bolted joints 133 may be evenly distributed to evenly stress the roof outer panel 100, for example, three bolted joints 133 may be provided to join the rear edge portion 113.
Generally, the high-position tail lamp bracket of the automobile may be located near the gutter of the automobile, or the high-position tail lamp bracket may be connected to the gutter, and the rear edge portion 113 may be located substantially above the gutter after the roof outer panel 100 is attached to the roof.
The roof outer plate is manufactured by adopting an integral injection molding process, so that the lap joint part connected with the roof longitudinal beam and other parts are not used as independently molded parts but are integrated, the sealing problem caused by the connecting seam between the traditional lap joint plate and the roof outer plate is avoided, and the sealing performance of the roof outer plate is optimized. In addition, because the top cover outer plate is integrally formed, the manufacturing process and the assembly flow are simplified, parts are reduced, the manufacturing cost is saved, and the structural strength of the top cover outer plate is improved.
In another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an automobile, which may include a roof, on which the roof outer panel 100 may be mounted, and thus, the description thereof will be omitted.
The above-listed detailed description is only a specific description of a possible embodiment of the present invention and is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention, and equivalent embodiments or modifications such as combinations, divisions or repetitions of the features without departing from the technical spirit of the present invention are included in the scope of the present invention.
