Abstract

The invention provides a control method of an instrument panel display picture of a transport vehicle and an electronic device using the method. First, related information of a transport vehicle is obtained to generate and display a plurality of options related to an instrument panel display frame on a screen. Then, the input device is used for receiving the setting operation aiming at the options so as to generate a set value of an instrument panel display picture, and the communication module is used for transmitting the set value to the transport carrier, wherein the transport carrier displays the instrument panel information on the instrument panel display picture according to the set value.

Technical Field
The present invention relates to a method for controlling a display screen and an electronic device using the same, and more particularly, to a method for controlling a display screen of an instrument panel and an electronic device using the same.
Background
At present, the dashboard of the automobile and the motorcycle can provide more and more information of users, such as information of vehicle speed, mileage, engine rotating speed, oil quantity, direction light indication, water tank temperature, safety airbag, steering wheel, safety belt, time, average oil consumption, instant oil consumption, warning pattern and the like. However, whether it is a stylus or digital dashboard, such information can only be presented in a fixed location, and the more information, the more complex the dashboard will be.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above, the present invention provides a method for controlling an instrument panel display and an electronic device using the method, which allow a user to set the display information and the presentation mode of the instrument panel display, so as to make the instrument panel more customized and improve the use value.
In an embodiment of the invention, the method for controlling the dashboard display screen is applicable to an electronic device having a screen, an input device and a communication module, and includes the following steps. First, related information of a transport vehicle is obtained to generate and display a plurality of options related to an instrument panel display frame on a screen. Then, the input device is used for receiving the setting operation aiming at the options so as to generate a set value of an instrument panel display picture, and the communication module is used for transmitting the set value to the transport carrier, wherein the transport carrier displays the instrument panel information on the instrument panel display picture according to the set value.
In an embodiment of the invention, the electronic device includes a screen, an input device, a communication module, a memory and a processor, wherein the processor is coupled to the screen, the input device, the communication module and the memory. The screen is used for displaying pictures. The input device is used for receiving input operation. The communication module is used for connecting with the transport carrier. The memory is used for storing data. The processor is used for obtaining relevant information of the transport vehicle to generate and display a plurality of options related to an instrument panel display picture on a screen, receiving setting operation aiming at the options by using the input device to generate a set value of the instrument panel display picture, and transmitting the set value to the transport vehicle by using the communication module, wherein the transport vehicle displays the instrument panel information on the instrument panel display picture according to the set value.

Some embodiments of the invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to like or similar elements throughout the several views. These embodiments are merely exemplary of the invention and do not disclose all possible embodiments of the invention. Rather, these embodiments are merely exemplary of the methods and apparatus of the present invention as claimed.
Fig. 1 is a block diagram of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the invention, which is for convenience of illustration and is not intended to limit the invention. First, fig. 1 first describes all the components and the arrangement of the display device, and the detailed functions will be disclosed together with fig. 2.
Referring to fig. 1, the electronic device 100 at least includes a screen 110, an input module 120, a communication module 130, a memory 140 and a processor 150. In the embodiment, the electronic device 100 is, for example, a mobile phone, a smart phone, a personal digital assistant, a tablet computer, a notebook computer, and the like, and the invention is not limited thereto.
The screen 110 is used for displaying the image outputted by the electronic device 100 for the user to watch. In the present embodiment, the screen 110 is, for example, a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), a Light-Emitting Diode (LED) Display, a Field Emission Display (FED), or other types of displays. The input device 120 is used for providing a user with operations on the electronic device 100, and may be a keyboard, a stylus pen, a touch pad, or the like externally connected to or built in the electronic device 100. In one embodiment, the screen 110 and the input device 120 can be integrated as a touch screen, such as a capacitive or resistive touch screen, for receiving a touch operation of a user.
The communication module 130 is used for connecting with the transportation vehicle VH, and may be an electronic component or a communication interface supporting WiMAX, Wi-Fi, 2G, 3G, or 4G communication protocols, ZigBee, Bluetooth (Bluetooth), Z-Wave communication chip, antenna, and the like.
The memory 140 is used for storing data, images, program codes and the like, and may be any type of fixed or removable Random Access Memory (RAM), read-only memory (ROM), flash memory (flash memory), hard disk or other similar devices, integrated circuits and combinations thereof.
The processor 150 is used to control the operations between components of the display device 100, and may be, for example, a Central Processing Unit (CPU), or other programmable general purpose or special purpose microprocessor (microprocessor), a Digital Signal Processor (DSP), a Graphic Processing Unit (GPU), a programmable logic device (ASIC), a Programmable Logic Device (PLD), an Application Processor (AP), or other similar devices or combinations thereof.
In the embodiment, after the electronic device 100 is connected to the transportation vehicle VH, the electronic device can be used to control the dashboard display of the transportation vehicle VH. In the present embodiment, the transportation vehicle VH may be an automobile, a ship, or an airplane, for example. The transportation vehicle VH has a dashboard and a communication module, wherein the dashboard can be, for example, a liquid crystal display, a light emitting diode display, a vacuum fluorescent screen display, a cathode ray tube display, and the communication module is used for connecting with the electronic device 100.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart of a method for displaying dashboard information according to an embodiment of the invention, wherein a first stage S1 of the process can be implemented by the electronic device 100 of fig. 1, and a second stage S2 can be implemented by the transportation vehicle VH.
Referring to fig. 1 and fig. 2, first, the processor 150 of the electronic device 100 obtains the information related to the vehicle VH to generate and display a plurality of options related to the dashboard display on the screen 110 (step S202), and receives a setting operation for the options by using the input device 120 to generate a setting value of the dashboard display (step S204). In detail, since the information displayed by the dashboard of different transportation vehicles or different brands of the same transportation vehicle may be different, the processor 150 may obtain the information of the type, brand name, style, model, etc. of the transportation vehicle VH first, so as to obtain the dashboard information displayed by the transportation vehicle VH. The instrument panel information may be, for example, hardware or environment-related information of the vehicle VH, such as the speed per hour, the engine speed, the average fuel consumption, the instantaneous fuel consumption, the mileage, the fuel amount, the water tank temperature, the time, the seat belt state, and the door lock state.
In one embodiment, the processor 150 may generate only a plurality of dashboard information options and display them on the screen 110 for selection by the user, who may select the information to be presented on the dashboard display via the input device 120. In addition, the processor 150 may also set some of the dashboard information options as permanent options, such as speed per hour, fuel quantity, and other important information.
In one embodiment, for each dashboard information, the processor 150 may further provide a plurality of style options and display on the screen 110 for the user to select, and the user may determine the style of the previously selected dashboard information via the input device 120. Taking speed per hour as an example, it may include options such as pointer style, number style, etc.; taking the oil amount as an example, it may include options such as a pointer pattern, a grid pattern, a percentage pattern, and the like. In addition, the size, color, brightness, pattern, etc. presented by the dashboard information also belong to the category of the style.
In one embodiment, the processor 150 may further provide a plurality of location options for the user to select for each dashboard information, and the user may determine the location of the previously selected dashboard information via the input device 120. In one example, the processor 150 may use grid lines, coordinates, text descriptions, block diagrams, codes, numbers, etc. as location options to be displayed on the screen 110 for the user to select through the input device. In another more intuitive example, the processor 150 can display a setting screen on the screen 110, wherein different areas on the setting screen can be regarded as a plurality of location options. The processor 150 may simultaneously display the selected dashboard information, and the user may drag and drop (drag-and-drop) each of the selected dashboard information to one of the regions in the setting screen through the input device 120.
After receiving the setting operation of the user for the dashboard information option, the style option, and the location option detected by the input device 120, the processor 150 generates a setting value of the dashboard display screen, and transmits the setting value to the vehicle VH by using the communication module 130 (step S206). In one embodiment, before sending the setting values to the transportation vehicle VH, the processor 150 may display a preview image on the screen 110 for the user to view and modify the setting according to the setting values.
After receiving the setting value, the vehicle VH displays the instrument panel information on the instrument panel display screen according to the setting value (step S208), so as to customize the instrument panel. Specifically, fig. 3A to 3B are dashboard display screens displayed according to an embodiment of the invention.
Referring to fig. 3A, the dashboard display 300A includes speed information SA and oil amount information GA, wherein the speed information SA is in a pointer type and is located at the upper left corner of the dashboard display 300A, and the oil amount information GA is also in a pointer type and is located at the lower right corner of the dashboard display 300A.
Referring to fig. 3B again, the dashboard display screen 300B includes speed information SB, oil amount information GB, and time information CB, wherein the speed information SB is a numeric style and is located at the center of the dashboard display screen 300A, the oil amount information GB is a percentage style and is located at the upper left corner of the dashboard display screen 300B, and the time information CB is a numeric style and is located at the lower right corner of the dashboard display screen 300B.
In an embodiment, the processor 150 of the electronic device 100 may further use the communication module 130 to upload the setting values of the dashboard display to the server for downloading by other electronic devices.
In another embodiment, the processor 150 of the electronic device may further use the communication module 130 to download the setting values of the dashboard display screen uploaded by other electronic devices from the server or download other new options, so as to augment the existing options at any time.
For convenience, fig. 4 is a flowchart illustrating a method for displaying dashboard information according to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein the first stage S1 of the process can be implemented by the electronic device 100 of fig. 1, and the second stage S2 can be implemented by the transportation vehicle VH.
Referring to fig. 1 and fig. 4, first, the electronic device 100 is connected to the transportation device VH (step S402). Next, the electronic device 100 starts the dashboard application according to the user operation or after detecting the connection with the transportation vehicle VH (step S404) to provide the user with a dashboard display (step S406). When the setting is completed (step S408), the electronic device 100 transmits the setting value to the transportation device VH (step S410), and the transportation device VH displays the instrument panel information on the instrument panel according to the setting value. For the detailed description of steps S402 to S410, please refer to the related parts of the preceding paragraphs, which are not described herein again.
In summary, the method for controlling an instrument panel display and the electronic device using the method of the present invention can provide a plurality of options related to the instrument panel display for a user to set the display information and the presentation manner of the instrument panel display, so that the instrument panel is more customized and the use value is improved.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the above embodiments, it should be understood that various changes and modifications can be made therein by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.

Claims (7)

1. A control method for dashboard display picture of transport vehicle is suitable for an electronic device with a screen, an input device and a communication module, and is characterized by comprising the following steps:
obtaining information related to the transport vehicle to generate and display a plurality of options related to the instrument panel display picture on the screen;
receiving a setting operation for the option by using the input device to generate a set value of the instrument panel display picture; and
transmitting the set value to the transport carrier by using the communication module, wherein the transport carrier displays instrument panel information on an instrument panel display picture according to the set value;
wherein the options include a plurality of dashboard information options associated with the vehicle and a plurality of location options associated with each of the dashboard information options, the setting of the dashboard display is a selected dashboard information option and a selected location option among the plurality of location options, and wherein generating the selected location option includes:
displaying the selected dashboard information option and a setting screen, wherein the setting screen includes a plurality of areas set as the location options; and
and receiving drag and drop operation for moving the selected instrument panel information option to one of the areas of the setting screen by using the input device to generate the selected position option so as to determine the position of the instrument panel display screen on which the selected instrument panel information is displayed.
2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the options further include a plurality of style options associated with each of the dashboard information options, and the setting value of the dashboard display is a selected one of the selected dashboard information option and the style options.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of generating the selected location option comprises:
displaying the location option on the screen; and
receiving a selection operation for one of the location options with the input device to generate the selected location option.
4. The method according to claim 1, wherein after the step of generating the setting values of the dashboard display, the method further comprises:
and displaying a preview picture on the screen according to the set value of the instrument panel display picture.
5. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
and transmitting the set value to a server by using the communication module so as to provide other electronic devices with the set value.
6. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
and downloading set values or other new options of other electronic devices from the server by utilizing the communication module.
7. An electronic device, comprising:
a screen for displaying a picture;
an input device for receiving an input operation;
the communication module is used for connecting with the transport carrier;
a memory to store data;
a processor coupled to the screen, the input device, the communication module and the memory, for performing the following steps:
obtaining information related to the transport vehicle to generate and display a plurality of options related to an instrument panel display picture on the screen;
receiving a setting operation for the option by using the input device to generate a set value of the instrument panel display picture; and
transmitting the set value to the transport carrier by using the communication module, wherein the transport carrier displays instrument panel information on an instrument panel display picture according to the set value;
wherein the options include a plurality of dashboard information options associated with the vehicle and a plurality of location options associated with each of the dashboard information options, the setting of the dashboard display is a selected dashboard information option and a selected location option among the plurality of location options, and wherein generating the selected location option includes:
displaying the selected dashboard information option and a setting screen, wherein the setting screen includes a plurality of areas set as the location options; and
and receiving drag and drop operation for moving the selected instrument panel information option to one of the areas of the setting screen by using the input device to generate the selected position option so as to determine the position of the instrument panel display screen on which the selected instrument panel information is displayed.
