Description

Waterproof cover for electronic component
Technical Field
The invention relates to a waterproof component, and particularly provides a waterproof cover for an electronic element.
Background
Electronic products usually include a plurality of electronic components, and the electrical connection mode of the electronic components and the nature of the transmitted signals determine that the electronic components and the connection positions between the electronic components are easily short-circuited by water. Therefore, the electronic components and the joints between the electronic components usually need to be provided with waterproof components to avoid short circuit of the electronic products due to water inflow, and therefore, damage and even functional failure of the electronic products caused by the short circuit are avoided.
A terminal is a common electronic component used for electrical connection. The existing connecting terminal does not have a waterproof component, and the waterproof function is usually achieved indirectly by matching with a shell of an electronic product plugged into the connecting terminal. When the shell of the electronic product is not of a completely sealed structure or the wiring terminal is not completely positioned inside the shell of the electronic product in a plugged state, water in the external environment easily enters the wiring terminal, so that the electronic product is damaged or even fails in function.
As an improvement, a separate waterproof member may be provided for the electronic component. Still taking the connection terminal as an example, the current independently configured waterproof component is usually installed and fixed by screwing, riveting, etc., and this installation not only complicates the assembling and disassembling process of the waterproof component, but also requires corresponding hole structures (such as screw holes) on both the connection terminal and the waterproof component for installing the waterproof component. This not only increases the number of parts and installation costs, but may also be accompanied by new water leakage problems due to poor sealing.
Accordingly, there is a need in the art for a new waterproof cover for electronic components that addresses the above-mentioned problems.

Furthermore, the terms "first" and "second" are used for descriptive purposes only and are not to be construed as indicating or implying relative importance.
Furthermore, it should be noted that, in the description of the present invention, unless otherwise explicitly specified or limited, the terms "mounted," "connected," "engaged," and the like are to be construed broadly and include, for example, fixed connections, detachable connections, or integral connections; can be mechanically or electrically connected; they may be connected directly or indirectly through intervening media, or they may be interconnected between two elements. The specific meanings of the above terms in the present invention can be understood by those skilled in the art according to specific situations.
Referring first to fig. 1, a schematic view of an overall structure of a waterproof cover for electronic components according to the present invention is shown. The structure of the waterproof cover for electronic components of the present invention will be described below with reference to fig. 1. As shown in fig. 1, the waterproof cover includes a cover body 11 and a connector. Specifically, the cover 11 is formed with a cavity capable of accommodating an electronic component, the connector is disposed at a lower left side of the cover 11, and the cover 11 can be fixed to a structure to be mounted, where the electronic component is located, by the connector. With the waterproof cover in place, the electronic components are accommodated in the cavity of the cover body 11, thereby effectively preventing external water from contacting the electronic components. Meanwhile, the cover body 11 is fixed to the structure to be mounted where the electronic element is located through the connecting piece, so that the connecting piece can play a role in fixing the cover body 11, and the application range of the waterproof cover can be further expanded.
With continued reference to fig. 1, further, the connector includes a connecting plate 12 and a retaining structure 13. Referring to the orientation of fig. 1, the connector is connected to the cover 11 through the upper end of the connecting plate 12, and the stopper 13 is disposed at the right side of the lower end of the connecting plate 12, so that the waterproof cover can be fixed to the appropriate position of the structure to be installed in the vertical direction through the connecting plate 12 and the stopper 13. Specifically, in the case where the waterproof cover is mounted in place, the connecting plate 12 pulls down the cover body to a position where it can cover the electronic component, and the stopper structure 13 makes the connecting plate 12 unable to move freely in the vertical direction by abutting against the bottom of the structure to be mounted, that is, makes the waterproof cover in a stable position in the vertical direction by the cooperation of the connecting plate 12 and the stopper structure 13.
It will be understood by those skilled in the art that although the limiting structure 13 in fig. 1 is a hook disposed on the lower left and right surfaces of the connecting plate 12, the limiting structure 13 may be other limiting elements, for example, the limiting structure 13 may also be two hooks, or a first limiting plate extending from the lower end of the connecting plate 12 to the right, which is equivalent to the hook in fig. 1. That is to say, the setting position, structural style and number of the limiting structure 13 can be flexibly adjusted, as long as the limiting structure 13 can realize the function of relatively fixing the waterproof cover in the vertical direction.
With continued reference to fig. 1, a second limiting plate 14 extends from the upper end of the connecting plate 12 to the right near the end of the structure to be mounted. Referring to the orientation of fig. 1, the second limiting plate 14 is arranged at the right side of the connecting plate 12, and the bottom surface of the second limiting plate 14 can abut against the top surface of the structure to be installed when the waterproof cover is installed in place, so as to further enhance the fixing effect of the waterproof cover. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the structure and arrangement of the second restriction plate 14 may be adapted according to specific situations.
With continued reference to fig. 1, in order to improve the waterproof effect of the waterproof cover, the structure of the cover body 11 is improved. Referring to the orientation of fig. 1, the cover 11 has an opening on the lower side, and a water guide 15 extends downward from the outer edge of the opening to guide water drained from the cover 11 further to a position away from the electronic component, so as to further prevent external water from entering the electronic component. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the water deflector 15 is a combination of ramps and/or arcs extending outwardly from the outer edge of the opening. In other words, the cross section of the water guide 15 gradually increases from top to bottom, specifically, the inclined plane combination is similar to the main body part of a square funnel, and the arc plane combination is similar to the main body part of a round funnel, so that the water guide 15 can disperse and discharge the water flowing to the bottom of the cover body 11.
Referring next to fig. 1, the cover 11 is further provided with a support plate 16 at a position near the opening. Under the condition that the waterproof cover is installed in place, at least one part of the outer edge of the water guide piece 15 is abutted to the structure to be installed, the cover body 11 is further abutted to the structure to be installed through the supporting plate 16, so that the waterproof cover is prevented from displacing in the horizontal direction and rotating in the circumferential direction, the stability of the cover body 11 is further guaranteed, and the waterproof effect of the waterproof cover is further guaranteed.
Preferably, the underside of the support plate 16 has a projecting end and, with the waterproof cover in place, the projecting end is matingly snapped into the structure to be mounted to limit movement of the cover 11 in the horizontal direction to further secure the waterproof cover. Specifically, a groove matched with the extending end is formed in the corresponding position of the structure to be installed, and the extending end can be clamped in the groove in a matching mode under the condition that the waterproof cover is installed in place. Obviously, the support plate 16 can be further abutted to the structure to be mounted in other ways than by having a projecting end, as long as the limiting action of the support 16 on the watertight cover is ensured. If the supporting plate 16 is disposed so that the lower side of the supporting member 16 is flush with the lower side of the water guiding member 15, and an anti-slip layer is disposed on the lower side of the supporting member 16, in order to ensure that water does not enter the electronic component from the anti-slip layer of the supporting member 16, the anti-slip layer may be disposed only on the outer portion of the supporting member 16, and the anti-slip layer may be a rubber pad, a frosted pad, an anti-slip texture, or the like disposed on the bottom of the supporting member 16. Note that, the foregoing flush refers to that the bottom of the anti-slip layer is flush with the water guide 15.
It can be seen that in the waterproof cover of the present invention, the movement of the waterproof cover in the vertical direction is effectively avoided by the arrangement of the connecting member. Through the arrangement of the support plate 16, the shaking of the waterproof cover in the horizontal plane is avoided. In this way, in combination with the water blocking function of the cover body 11 and the water drainage function of the water guide 15, in the case where the electronic component is provided with the waterproof cover of the present invention, the waterproof cover is reliably fixed by the engagement of the connecting member and the supporting member 16, and on the basis of this, the waterproof of the electronic component is effectively achieved by the engagement of the cover body 11 and the water guide 15.
In addition, it is preferable that the inside of the cover body 11 is matched with at least a part of the shape of the electronic component, so that the waterproof cover can be more firmly covered on the electronic component, thereby better achieving the waterproof effect. In addition, the waterproof cover can play a certain guiding role in the process of sleeving the waterproof cover on the electronic element, so that the waterproof cover is convenient to mount.
Preferably, each part of the waterproof cover is an injection-molded integrated structure, so that the integrity of the waterproof cover is improved, the waterproof cover is convenient to mount, and the waterproof cover simplifies the process and is convenient for batch production.
Referring next to fig. 2, a schematic diagram of a waterproof cover installation process for electronic components according to the present invention is shown. The structure and the manner of use of the waterproof cover for an electronic component of the present invention will be described below in conjunction with the case where the electronic component is a terminal, and the structure to be mounted is an electric device in which the terminal is located. It should be noted that the connection terminal is formed by plugging the plug terminal 1 and the plug interface 2, and the description of the preferred embodiment is only for convenience of explaining the structure and the use of the waterproof cover of the present invention, and does not limit the protection scope of the present invention at all. Specifically, as shown in fig. 2, a plug wire interface 2 is provided on an electric device 3, and a plug wire terminal 1 can be plugged onto the plug wire interface 2, and the waterproof cover of the present invention is a waterproof cover configured separately for the terminal.
With continued reference to fig. 2, the cover 11 can cover the plug terminal 1 and the plug wire connector 2, and when the waterproof cover is mounted in place, the outer edge of the water deflector 15 can abut against at least a portion of the upper surface of the electric device 3, thereby enhancing the stability and waterproof effect of the waterproof cover. Meanwhile, the electric device 3 is provided with a step 31 and a groove 32, the waterproof cover is relatively fixed in the vertical direction by means of the hook to the bottom of the step 31, and the waterproof cover is relatively fixed in the horizontal plane by means of the protruding end of the bottom of the support plate 16 being clamped in the groove 32.
Referring next to fig. 3, a schematic view of the waterproof cover for electronic components of the present invention in place is shown. As shown in fig. 3, in a state where the waterproof cover is mounted in place, the cover 11 covers the plug terminal 1 and the plug interface 2, and a cavity of the cover 11 is matched with a portion of the connection terminal, so that the cover 11 can stably cover the connection terminal. The outer edge of the water guide 15 and at least a part of the electric device 3 are abutted against each other, so that the probability of external water entering the electronic component is reduced, and the waterproof effect of the waterproof cover is enhanced. Meanwhile, the limit structure 13 can relatively fix the waterproof cover in a vertical direction in a manner of abutting against the bottom of the step 31 so as to fix the waterproof cover, and the structures and positions of the connection plate 12 and the limit structure 13 can be adjusted according to different situations so that the waterproof cover can adapt to different installation environments. And, the protruding end of the bottom of the supporting plate 16 can be caught in the groove 32, so that the waterproof cover is relatively fixed in the horizontal direction, and the second limit plate 14 can abut on the top surface of the step 31 of the electric device 3, so as to further enhance the fixing effect of the waterproof cover.
Finally, it should be noted that the above embodiment is only a preferred technical solution of the present invention, and those skilled in the art may adaptively adjust the shape of the cover body 11 in combination with different electronic components, and those skilled in the art may also adaptively adjust the structural form of the limiting structure 13 in combination with different installation spaces, so that the waterproof cover can be limited in its play in the vertical direction by the limiting structure 13, and those skilled in the art may also adaptively adjust the structural form of the supporting plate 16 in combination with different structures to be installed, so that the waterproof cover can be limited in its movement in the horizontal plane by the supporting plate 16.
So far, the technical solutions of the present invention have been described with reference to the accompanying drawings, but it is obvious to those skilled in the art that the scope of the present invention is not limited to these specific embodiments. Equivalent changes or substitutions of related technical features can be made by those skilled in the art without departing from the principle of the invention, and the technical scheme after the changes or substitutions can fall into the protection scope of the invention.
