Moreover, the network side equipment knows the time when the user equipment receives the paging message, so that the same paging message can be prevented from being sent to the UE for multiple times, the efficiency of paging message configuration can be improved, and the network side equipment and the user equipment do not need additional signaling interaction, so that the waste of communication resources can be avoided.
Further, when the preset number of paging messages received by the ue includes the dedicated paging message, the paging message is received in the active-state-extended paging slot after the active-state paging slot, so that the network side device can transmit the paging message, which is too large to be transmitted in the active-state paging slot, to the ue, and thus the signaling interaction between the two is facilitated.
Further, the user equipment receives the starting point message sent by the network side equipment, analyzes the information of the paging time slice in the initial activation state, and then can adopt the information of the paging time slice in the initial activation state to complete synchronization with the network side equipment, so that the communication between the user equipment and the network side equipment can be ensured.
Further, the paging message state configuration information also includes an execution duration for receiving the paging message according to the paging message state configuration information, that is, the network side device may instruct the user equipment to receive the paging message according to the paging message state configuration information within the execution duration, and since the network side device has a prediction control function on the transmission opportunity and the time duration of the paging message, the instruction of the execution duration may improve the pertinence and the accuracy of the configuration of the paging message.

Detailed Description
In any wireless Network communication system, a User Equipment (UE) needs to receive a paging message from a Network side Device (NW). And, the interval between paging scenes or paging windows is relatively fixed, and the UE is configured to receive at least one paging message in a time slice represented by each paging scene or paging window.
Fig. 1 shows a timing diagram of a conventional paging cycle, which includes a paging scenario/paging window 11, a paging scenario/paging window 12, a paging scenario/paging window 13, and a paging scenario/paging window 14, as shown in fig. 1, where a UE is configured to receive at least one paging message in time slices represented by the paging scenario/paging window 11, the paging scenario/paging window 12, the paging scenario/paging window 13, and the paging scenario/paging window 14.
In order to avoid that the UE receives the paging message on some unnecessary occasions, the prior art method for configuring the paging message is changed. Such as the configuration of the paging message or self-selection by the UE or the need for the NW to make a change indication. Specifically, one method is that the UE selects to receive the paging message only in a part of the paging scenarios or paging windows, but this method may result in that the network side device needs to send the same paging message to the UE multiple times, resulting in low waste of communication resources.
Another method is that the NW instructs the UE to change the configuration of the paging message, e.g. the NW indicates how often the UE needs to receive the paging message, and this method may result in too much signaling interaction between the NW and the UE and may eventually result in waste of communication resources.
In order to solve the above problem, in the embodiment of the present invention, after receiving a message including paging message state configuration information from a network side device, a user equipment may analyze the paging message state configuration information to obtain an activation condition of the paging message state configuration information, and then, when it is determined that the activation condition of the paging message state configuration information is satisfied, receive a preset number of paging messages in an active paging slot, and keep a state of not receiving paging messages in an inactive paging slot, so that continuous reception of paging messages may be avoided, and power consumption of the user equipment may be reduced. And the network side equipment knows the time when the user equipment receives the paging message, so that the same paging message can be prevented from being sent to the UE for multiple times, the efficiency of paging message configuration can be improved, and the network side equipment and the user equipment do not need additional signaling interaction, so that the waste of communication resources can be avoided.
In order to make the aforementioned objects, features and advantages of the present invention comprehensible, embodiments accompanied with figures are described in detail below.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a method for configuring a paging message in an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 2, the method for configuring a paging message may be implemented according to the following steps:
step S21: and judging whether a message comprising paging message state configuration information is received from the network side equipment.
In particular implementations, there may be multiple types of messages that may include paging message status configuration information. For example, the message including the paging message state configuration information may be a system message, the message including the paging message state configuration information may also be an access stratum message, and the message including the paging message state configuration information may also be a non-access stratum message.
In a specific implementation, if the message including the paging message state configuration information is an access stratum message or a non-access stratum message, the user equipment may further send, to the network side device, an access stratum message or a non-access stratum message including a representation requesting the paging message state configuration information before receiving the message including the paging message state configuration information.
In other words, the ue may send the request for the paging message state configuration information to the network side device through the access stratum message or the non-access stratum message, so that the initiative of the ue for the paging message state configuration may be improved.
In order to improve the pertinence of the network side device to indicate the paging message state configuration information, in a specific implementation, before the message including the paging message state configuration information is received from the network side device, the user equipment may further send an indication message indicating that the user equipment itself supports the paging message configuration to the network side device. For example, the performance bit may be used as an indication message.
In a specific implementation, the paging time slice may be a paging scenario or a paging window. And, the paging scenario is the true location where the paging message is received. Paging scenarios this expression is typically used in normal paging configurations. While the paging window is a larger window comprising several paging scenarios. Paging window this expression is typically used in eDRX. In the eDRX configuration it is defined in which paging window the user equipment receives the paging message. The user equipment may then listen to the paging scenario located within the paging window.
When receiving a message including paging message state configuration information from the network side device, performing step S22; otherwise, step S21 is repeated.
Step S22: and analyzing the paging message state configuration information to obtain the activation condition of the paging message state configuration information.
Step S23: and judging whether the activation condition of the paging message state configuration information is met.
When it is determined that the activation condition of the paging message status configuration information is satisfied, performing step S24; otherwise, step S23 is executed.
Step S24: receiving a paging message according to the paging message state configuration information: receiving a preset number of paging messages in the active paging slot, and maintaining a state of not receiving the paging messages in the inactive paging slot.
For ease of understanding, fig. 3 shows a timing diagram of a paging cycle in an embodiment of the present invention, and each bar pane represents a paging scenario/paging window, as shown in fig. 3, which includes a paging scenario/paging window 31, a paging scenario/paging window 32, a paging scenario/paging window 33, and a paging scenario/paging window 34. In fig. 3, the paging scenario/paging window 31, the paging scenario/paging window 32, and the remaining column panes filled with the same two paging scenarios/paging windows are active paging slots. The paging scenario/paging window 33, the paging scenario/paging window 34, and the remaining column panes filled in the same way as the two paging scenarios/paging windows are inactive paging time slices.
Referring to fig. 3, the ue in step S23 receives the paging message according to the paging message state configuration information, that is, the ue receives a preset number of paging messages in the paging scenario/paging window 31 and the paging scenario/paging window 32, and the ue maintains a state of not receiving the paging message in the paging scenario/paging window 33 and the paging scenario/paging window 34. In other words, the paging scenario/paging window 33 and the paging scenario/paging window 34 are also a time slice configured for the ue by the network side device without receiving the paging message. Thus, power consumption of the user equipment can be reduced.
At present, the configuration of the paging message is selected by the user equipment or the network side equipment is required to perform change indication, but the existing configuration method has the problems of large power consumption of the user equipment, much waste of communication resources and much signaling interaction.
The user equipment in the embodiment of the invention can analyze the paging message state configuration information to obtain the activation condition of the paging message state configuration information after receiving the message comprising the paging message state configuration information from the network side equipment, and then receives a preset number of paging messages in the active paging time slices and keeps the state of not receiving the paging messages in the inactive paging time slices when confirming that the activation condition of the paging message state configuration information is met, so that the continuous receiving of the paging messages can be avoided, and the power consumption of the user equipment can be reduced. And the network side equipment knows the time when the user equipment receives the paging message, so that the situation that the same paging message is sent to the UE for multiple times can be avoided, and the efficiency of paging message configuration can be improved. Moreover, as can be seen from the above, the network side device and the user equipment do not need additional signaling interaction, so that the waste of communication resources can be avoided.
It should be noted that, there may be a case where data transmitted from the network side device to the user equipment cannot be completed by using one RRC connection. It may also happen that the first RRC connection is released before the user equipment and the network side device complete the data transmission.
For example, the network side device needs to perform some processing on data, and during the processing, the RRC connection is released due to the inactivity between the network side device and the user equipment. And the RRC connection needs to be opened by receiving a paging message from the network side device. Therefore, the network side device needs to initiate several paging messages to establish several RRC connections to complete data transmission.
To meet the requirements of the two cases, in an implementation, when the dedicated paging message is included in the preset number of paging messages received by the ue, the paging message may be received in an extended active paging slot after the active paging slot.
In a specific implementation, the dedicated paging message indicates that the message is dedicated to a certain user equipment or a certain specific user equipment. For example, the identity information of the paged user equipment may be set in the dedicated paging message.
For ease of understanding, fig. 4 shows a timing diagram of a paging cycle in an embodiment of the present invention, and each bar pane represents a paging scene/paging window, as shown in fig. 4, which includes a paging scene/paging window 41, a paging scene/paging window 42, a paging scene/paging window 43, a paging scene/paging window 44, a paging scene/paging window 45, and a paging scene/paging window 46. In fig. 4, the paging scenario/paging window 41, the paging scenario/paging window 42, and the remaining column panes filled in the same way as the two paging scenarios/paging windows are active paging slots. The paging scenario/paging window 43, the paging scenario/paging window 44, and the remaining column panes filled in the same way as the two paging scenarios/paging windows are paging time slices in the extended active state. Paging scenario/paging window 45 and paging scenario/paging window 46 are inactive paging time slices.
Referring to fig. 4, when the dedicated paging message is included in the preset number of paging messages received by the ue, the paging message may be received in a paging slot of an extended active state after the paging slot of the active state, that is, the ue receives the preset number of paging messages in the paging scene/paging window 41 and the paging scene/paging window 42, and when the dedicated paging message is included in the preset number of paging messages, the ue continues to receive the paging message in the paging scene/paging window 43 and the paging scene/paging window 44.
In particular implementations, the activation condition may be multiple. For example, the activation condition may be that the paging message state configuration information is received, that is, when the user equipment receives the paging message configuration information, the user equipment may immediately receive the paging message according to the paging message state configuration information.
For another example, the activation condition may be that preset activation information is received. At this time, referring to fig. 5, a signaling interaction diagram of a method for configuring a paging message in the implementation of the present invention may be shown, as shown in fig. 5, the method may include the following steps:
step S51: the user equipment receives the paging message state configuration information.
Step S52: the user equipment continues to use the normal paging configuration previously configured.
Step S53: and the network side equipment sends the AS/NAS message to the user equipment.
In a specific implementation, the AS/NAS message includes activation information for instructing the ue to enable paging message state configuration.
Step S54: receiving a paging message according to the paging message state configuration information: receiving a preset number of paging messages in the active paging slot, and maintaining a state of not receiving the paging messages in the inactive paging slot.
It should be noted that, if the subsequent network side device sends the information for instructing the user equipment to deactivate the paging message state configuration to the user equipment, the user equipment may stop using the paging message state configuration, and then use the normal paging configuration.
For another example, the activation condition may be that the paging message status configuration information is received for a preset time period. Specifically, if the paging message status configuration information includes the time duration t of 10s, the ue continues to use the previously configured normal paging configuration after receiving the paging message status configuration information. After the time period t is 10S, the user equipment starts to perform the operation described in step S24.
In a specific implementation, the type of the preset activation message may be any one of the following types: paging messages, access stratum/non-access stratum messages.
In order to implement synchronization with the network side device, in a specific implementation, after the ue determines that the activation condition of the paging message state configuration information is satisfied, before receiving the paging message according to the paging message state configuration information, a preset start point message may be further received, and then information of an initial active paging time slice is obtained through parsing, so that synchronization with the network side device is completed by using the information of the initial active paging time slice.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the preset type of the startpoint message may be a system frame number message or a system message. The skilled person can set the type of the startup point message to the other mentioned types according to the actual needs. And, the timing of the time window of the active state may also be set. In detail, a system information message or a dedicated signal or a first active paging window may be used to set the timing of the active time window.
In a specific implementation, the paging message state configuration information further includes: length information of paging time slices of the corresponding state. The length information of the paging time slice in the corresponding state is, in detail, length information of the paging time slice in the active state, length information of the paging time slice in the inactive state, and length information of the paging time slice in the extended active state. Therefore, the user equipment can receive the paging message according to the paging message state configuration in the time slice in a targeted manner according to the length information.
In a specific implementation, the paging message state configuration information may further include: and receiving the execution duration of the paging message according to the paging message state configuration information. That is, the network side device may instruct the ue to receive the paging message according to the paging message state configuration information within the execution duration, and since the network side device has a prediction control function for the sending time and the time of the paging message, the instruction of the execution duration may improve the pertinence and the accuracy of the configuration of the paging message.
In a specific implementation, when the ue needs to receive information transmitted by the network side device using a paging message, the ue may receive the paging message in an inactive paging window. Generally, such information is information about a cell in which the user equipment is camped. For example, the information may be some information indicating that the system message in the cell has changed. Such messages are not typically intended for a particular user equipment but are applicable to all user equipments. The network side device cannot detect the message at the NAS layer, for example, the network side device cannot send a dedicated paging message during the inactive paging.
In order to make those skilled in the art better understand and implement the present invention, fig. 6 shows a flowchart of a method for configuring a paging message in the embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 6, the method may include the following steps:
step S61: and judging whether the paging message state configuration needs to be carried out on the user equipment.
When confirming that the configuration of the paging message state needs to be performed for the user equipment, performing step S62; otherwise, step S61 is repeated.
Step S62: and sending a message comprising paging message state configuration information to the user equipment.
In a specific implementation, a network side device may send a message including paging message state configuration information to a user equipment, and for the user equipment, the paging message state configuration information may be analyzed to obtain an activation condition of the paging message state configuration information, and when it is confirmed that the activation condition of the paging message state configuration information is satisfied, a preset number of paging messages are received in an active paging slot. And then the paging time slice in the inactive state maintains a state of not receiving the paging message.
In a specific implementation, the type of the message including the paging message status configuration information is any one of the following types: system messages, access stratum, non-access stratum messages. It should be noted that, according to actual needs, those skilled in the art may set the message including the paging message status configuration information to be of other types.
In a specific implementation, when an access stratum message or a non-access stratum message including paging message state configuration information is sent to the user equipment, an access stratum message or a non-access stratum message including a representation requesting the paging message state configuration information may also be received. That is, the network side device may further perform paging message state configuration for the user equipment according to a request of the user equipment, so that the configuration of the paging message state may be matched with the communication state of the user equipment.
In order to improve the pertinence of the paging message state configuration, in a specific implementation, the network side device may further send a message including the paging message state configuration information to the user equipment after receiving the indication message that the user equipment supports the paging message configuration.
In a specific implementation, the paging message state configuration information may further include length information of a paging slot corresponding to a state. The length information of the paging time slice in the corresponding state is, in detail, length information of the paging time slice in the active state, length information of the paging time slice in the inactive state, and length information of the paging time slice in the extended active state.
