Detailed Description
In order to further understand the objects, structures, features and functions of the present invention, the following embodiments are described in detail.
The following embodiments are provided for illustrative purposes only and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. The following description will be given with the same/similar reference numerals as used for the same/similar elements.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, a packaging structure 100 for packaging modules is provided. As shown in fig. 1A to 1C, the packaging structure 100 includes at least one packaging material 102, a first holding portion 104 and a second holding portion 106. As shown in fig. 2A and fig. 3A, the module 10 is, for example, a display of a desktop computer, a television, a tablet computer, a digital photo frame, or a thin electronic device with an image/video playing function, and the invention is not limited thereto.
The packaging material 102 is, for example, a porous material, such as polyethylene foam or polystyrene, which is coated on the outer surface of the module 10. The packaging material 102 can be elastically deformed by being pressed and can be restored to the original shape when the external force is removed. The shape of the opening of the packaging material 102 may vary with the shape or curvature of the surface of the module 10, such as a strip-shaped opening, a square-shaped opening, a triangular-shaped opening, a polygonal-shaped opening, a circular-shaped opening, an L-shaped opening, a T-shaped opening, or other possible opening shapes. As shown in fig. 2A, for a module 10 such as a display having a high aspect ratio, a strip-shaped opening 108 is usually used, so that the module 10 can pass through the packaging material 102 through the strip-shaped opening 108, and the packaging material 102 can protect and support the module 10 to prevent the panel from being crushed due to heavy pressure.
As shown in fig. 1A and 1B, the packaging material 102 has a first side S1 and a second side S2 opposite to each other, and the packaging material 102 has a strip-shaped opening 108 located on a first axis (X axis) extending from the first side S1 to the second side S2 of the packaging material 102. The shape of the elongated opening 108 is not limited and the inner surface 1081 thereof may include a flat surface, a two-dimensional curved surface extending along a single axis (e.g., X-axis or Y-axis), a three-dimensional curved surface extending along two axes (e.g., X-axis and Y-axis), or a combination of the flat surface and the two curved surfaces. In fig. 1A and 1B, only the inner surface 1081 is shown to have a three-dimensional curved surface. Wherein, the first curved surface and/or plane extending along the first axis (X-axis) can match the outer surface of the module 10 on the first axis, and the second curved surface and/or plane extending along the second axis (Y-axis) can match the outer surface of the module 10 on the second axis, so that the shape of the elongated opening 108 matches the shape of the module 10. The first axis is substantially perpendicular to or at a predetermined angle relative to the second axis.
In one embodiment, since the panel of the display cannot bear heavy pressure or excessive stress, before the module 10 such as a display is installed in the packaging box 110, the outer surface of the module 10 can be covered by the soft packaging material 102 with an opening, so that the module 10 such as a display can be supported by the packaging material 102 near the middle of the module 10 and can be lifted or lowered. In addition, in fig. 2B and 3A, when the module 10 such as a display is taken out from the packaging box 110 and placed on the plane G, each packaging material 102 can make the module 10 have a supporting height H1 relative to the plane G, for example, the supporting height H1 of the center of the module 10 relative to the plane G is larger than the height H2 from the two opposite sides of the module 10 to the center of the module 10. Thus, the two ends of the panel are prevented from contacting the plane G, and the center of gravity of the module 10 generates excessive stress on the panel.
Referring to fig. 1A to fig. 1C, in order to facilitate the hand of the carrier to hold the packaging material 102, the first side S1 and the second side S2 of the packaging material 102 are respectively provided with a first holding portion 104 and a second holding portion 106. In addition, the packaging material 102 has a top surface 1021 and a bottom surface 1022 opposite to each other, the first holding portion 104 has a first recess 1041, for example, and the second holding portion 106 has a second recess 1061, for example. The first recess 1041 may extend from the top surface 1021 to the bottom surface 1022, and the second recess 1061 may extend from the top surface 1021 to the bottom surface 1022.
In an embodiment, the width and depth of the first recess 1041 and the second recess 1061 are about the width and length of a palm of an adult, so that the palm of the carrier can completely extend into the first recess 1041 and the second recess 1061, and the first recess 1041 and the second recess 1061 may further have a recess 1042 and a recess 1062 near the bottom 1022, respectively, for the fingers to be buckled on the top walls of the recesses 1042 and 1062 after bending, so as to increase the holding force. In another embodiment, the recesses 1042 and 1062 may not be disposed on the packaging material 102 near the bottom surface 1022, and the user can directly hold the bottom surface 1022 of the packaging material 102 with fingers.
Referring to fig. 1C, the first holding portion 104 and the second holding portion 106 each have a holding thickness D1, preferably equal to the width of a typical adult palm web, so that the thumb of the carrier can be held on the top surface 1021 of the packaging material 102, and the remaining four fingers can be inserted into the first recess 1041 and the second recess 1061 and held, thereby increasing the holding strength. As shown in FIG. 1C, the graspable thickness D1 is shown to be relatively less than the thickness D2 of the packaging material 102 from the top surface 1021 to the bottom surface 1022, wherein the thickness D2 of the top surface 1021 to the bottom surface 1022 minus the graspable thickness D1 is equal to the thickness of the recesses 1042, 1062. In another embodiment, when the recess portions 1042 and 1062 are not disposed on the packaging material 102 near the bottom surface 1022, the thickness D1 can be equal to the thickness D2 of the packaging material 102 from the top surface 1021 to the bottom surface 1022.
Referring to fig. 3A and 3B, in order to facilitate loading or unloading the display module 10 into or from the packaging box 110, the packaging box 110 may further have a first positioning groove 114 and a second positioning groove 116 for positioning the packaging structure 100, so that the palm of the carrier can extend into the first positioning groove 114 and the second positioning groove 116, and the carrier can simultaneously hold the first holding portion 104 and the second holding portion 106 on two sides of the packaging material 102, so as to lift or lower the display module 10.
In addition, referring to fig. 3A and 3B, the packaging box 110 may further have a receiving groove 112 for receiving the module 10 and the packaging material 102. The receiving slot 112 is, for example, a rectangular opening, the outer shape of which matches the shape of the module 10. As shown in fig. 3B, when the module 10 and the packaging material 102 are placed in the packaging box 110, the first holding portion 104 and the opposite side wall SW1 of the first positioning slot 114 have a predetermined clearance C1, and the second holding portion 106 and the opposite side wall SW2 of the second positioning slot 116 have a predetermined clearance C2. The predetermined gaps C1, C2 are, for example, approximately the thickness of a typical adult palm to facilitate insertion and holding of the carrier's palm on the wrapper 102.
In fig. 3A and 3B, the packaging material 102 used for the curved display is taken as an example, but the packaging material 102 can also be used for a flat display or other electronic products. In addition, the number of the packing material 102 may be one or more. Referring to fig. 3A and 3B, since the module 10 such as the curved display has a long length, the number of the packing members 102 can be two or more, and the packing members are respectively sleeved on two opposite sides of the module 10 such that the two opposite sides of the module 10 can be respectively supported by the corresponding packing members 102 and can be lifted or lowered at the same time. When the number of the packing material 102 is only one, the packing material 102 may be wrapped in the center of the module 10.
