Abstract
The invention relates to a low-odor high-toughness modified PC/ABS material for a vehicle and a preparation method thereof, belongs to the technical field of high polymer materials, and solves the technical problem that the low-odor PC/ABS material in the prior art is very low in impact strength, and the material is composed of PC 30-80%, ABS 15-65%, a compatilizer 1-3%, zeolite 1-2%, a toughening agent 1-3% and an antioxidant 0.1-1%. The invention also provides a preparation method of the low-odor high-toughness modified PC/ABS material for the vehicle, which ensures the low odor of the material and the normal-temperature and low-temperature toughness of the material, and is particularly suitable for automobile parts.

Background
The PC/ABS resin has excellent characteristics such as processability, mechanical strength and heat resistance, so that it is a widely used interior material for vehicles.
However, in the manufacturing process of the ABS resin, more small molecular impurities exist, and the smell is relatively unpleasant; furthermore, various additives are often added during the preparation of PC/ABS composites, and these additives often give off unpleasant odors to varying degrees. The requirements of people on life are greatly improved, and the bad smell in the automobile cannot be tolerated. The state also provides the 'evaluation guideline for air quality in passenger cars', and the automobiles are required to reduce the odor. This requires the material manufacturer to provide a lower odor product to meet the consumer demand.
Patent document CN 106867224A discloses a low-odor PC/ABS resin, but the impact strength is very low (impact strength 42-49 KJ/m)2) And the requirement of high-toughness automotive materials cannot be met. The reason is that the addition of odour-combating auxiliaries causes the PC to degrade in the screw.

Aiming at the defects of the prior art, the invention aims to provide a low-odor high-toughness modified PC/ABS material for a vehicle and a preparation method thereof, wherein the material has low odor and excellent toughness, and solves the technical problem that the low-odor PC/ABS material in the prior art has very low impact strength.

(1) weighing 15-65% of ABS, 1-2% of zeolite, 1-3% of compatilizer, 0.1-1% of antioxidant and 1-3% of toughening agent according to weight percentage;
(2) mixing the above raw materials in a high-speed mixer for 2-5min, and adding into the main feeding port of an extruder;
(3) weighing 30-80% of PC by weight percent, and adding the PC into a side feeding port of an extruder;
(4) putting the raw materials into an extruder, extruding, cooling, drying and granulating.
Further, the PC resin is bisphenol A polycarbonate with the molecular weight of 10000-40000.

The present invention will be further described with reference to specific embodiments. The parts by weight of each component in examples 1 to 5 and comparative examples 1 to 2 are shown in Table 1, and the test results are shown in Table 2.

The preparation methods of examples 1 to 5 and comparative examples 1 to 2 were the same, namely, the raw materials were weighed according to the component ratios shown in table 1, placed in a high-speed mixer and mixed uniformly, the mixed raw materials were placed in an extruder, cooled, dried, granulated after extrusion, and then test specimens were prepared by an injection molding machine.
The PC/ABS materials obtained in examples 1-5 and the PC/ABS materials obtained in comparative examples 1-2 were subjected to performance tests and comparative analyses.
The test method of the material comprises the following steps:
tensile strength: the test speed was 50mm/min using ISO 527 standard.
Flexural strength/flexural modulus: the test speed is 2mm/min according to ISO 178 standard.
Notch impact: the method adopts ISO 179-1eA standard simply supported beam, the normal temperature is 23+/-2 ℃, the low temperature is-30 +/-2 ℃, the beam is stored for more than 24h at-30 ℃, and the beam is placed in an environment of-30 ℃ for testing.
Odor test conditions: PV 3900.

As can be seen from the above examples and comparative examples, the addition of zeolite can significantly reduce the odor of the finished product. However, it also causes the finished product to become brittle; the toughening agent can improve the toughness, but still is not enough to meet the automobile requirements; if the small molecules are discharged from the first vacuum port and then the PC is added from the side feeding port, the toughness can be kept not to be reduced under the condition of ensuring low odor; meanwhile, too much compatibilizer causes a high odor, and too little compatibilizer causes a decrease in toughness.
Claims (8)
1. The low-odor high-toughness modified PC/ABS material for the vehicle is characterized by being prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: PC resin: 35 parts of ABS resin: 65 parts of a compatilizer: 2 parts, zeolite: 1 part of a toughening agent: 3 parts of antioxidant: 0.3 part;
the PC resin is fed from a side feeding port of the extruder, the rest raw materials are fed from a main feeding port, the extruder is provided with two vacuum ports, and the side feeding port is arranged behind the first vacuum port of the extruder.
2. The low-odor high-toughness modified PC/ABS material for vehicles as claimed in claim 1, wherein the PC resin is bisphenol A polycarbonate with molecular weight of 10000-40000.

The low odor, high toughness modified PC/ABS material for vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein said ABS resin is a terpolymer of acrylonitrile, butadiene, styrene, wherein the weight percent content of butadiene is 10-55%, the weight percent content of acrylonitrile is 15-32%, and the weight percent content of styrene is 30-70%.

6. The low odor, high toughness modified PC/ABS material for vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the toughening agent is MBS.

The low-odor high-toughness modified PC/ABS material for vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the antioxidant is one or more selected from triethylene glycol bis [ β - (3-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl) propionate ], tetrakis [ β - (3, 5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate ] pentaerythritol ester, tris (2, 4-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphite, and dioctadecyl alcohol pentaerythritol diphosphite.
8. A preparation method of a low-odor high-toughness modified PC/ABS material for a vehicle is characterized by comprising the following steps:
(1) weighing ABS in parts by weight: 65 parts of a compatilizer: 2 parts, zeolite: 1 part of a toughening agent: 3 parts of antioxidant: 0.3 part;
(2) putting the raw materials weighed in the step (1) into a high-speed mixer, mixing for 2-5min, and adding into a main feeding port of an extruder;
(3) weighing PC according to the weight percentage: 35 parts of the raw materials are added into a side feeding port of the extruder;
(4) putting the raw materials into an extruder, extruding, cooling, drying and granulating;
the extruder is 11 sections of machine barrels, vacuum ports of the extruder are positioned in the 6 th and 9 th sections of machine barrels, and a side feeding port is positioned in the 7 th section of machine barrel;
the PC resin is bisphenol A type polycarbonate, and the molecular weight of the PC resin is 10000-40000;
the ABS resin is a terpolymer of acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene, wherein the weight percentage content of the butadiene is 10-55%, the weight percentage content of the acrylonitrile is 15-32%, and the weight percentage content of the styrene is 30-70%;
