Description

Locking system for a charging socket of a motor vehicle
Technical Field
The invention relates to a locking system for a charging socket of a motor vehicle, in particular a plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle. The invention further relates to a charging socket having a locking system of this type and to a motor vehicle having such a charging socket. Finally, the invention relates to a method for operating a motor vehicle having a charging socket of this type.
Background
Motor vehicles with electric drives, such as hybrid vehicles or electric vehicles, for charging the energy storage of the motor vehicle, usually have a charging socket for receiving electrical energy from an external current source, such as a charging post. For the electrical connection of a motor vehicle to a current source, charging cables connected or connectable to the current source are known, with a charging plug for the electrical connection to the motor vehicle being insertable into a charging socket. In this way, the charging plug contacts of the charging plug may be in contact with the charging socket contacts of the charging socket in order to pass current.
The charging receptacle may be arranged at different locations at the motor vehicle, for example laterally in the rear region of the vehicle, behind a brand logo (sometimes called emblem) of the motor vehicle manufacturer, or in a radiator protective grille. In order to avoid unintentional separation of the charging plug and the charging socket during the charging process, many charging sockets have a locking system which fixes the charging plug to the charging socket in a form-fitting manner, for example during the charging process. For this purpose, the locking system has, for example, a locking bolt which can be moved in translation between a locking position and a release position by means of a drive. In the locked position, the locking pin engages, for example, in a recess of the charging plug, in order to hold the locking pin in the charging socket in a form-fitting manner.
A charging device with a charging bushing, a charging plug which can be coupled to the charging bushing, and a locking unit for locking the charging plug in the charging bushing is known from DE 102016009777 a 1. The charging device has a monitoring unit, by means of which the locked and unlocked states of the locking unit can be displayed.
Known charging sockets with locking systems have the following disadvantages: the locking pin can be firmly attached to the charging plug and to components of the locking system in the case of low ambient temperatures below freezing, and thus unlocking the charging bushing for releasing the charging plug is not possible or can only be achieved with delay. The reason for this is moisture, which condenses on the locking bolt and can even penetrate into the locking system. Such disadvantageous condensation is further promoted by the charging socket being arranged in the vicinity of the radiator of the hybrid vehicle. Such a secure attachment of the locking bolt is also not satisfactorily prevented by means of an additional seal which is formed around the locking bolt. The use of stronger actuators and transmission mechanisms with higher transmission ratios for moving the locking bolt likewise only partially overcomes this problem and is not an economically attractive and technically reliable solution to this problem due to the higher material costs and the greater installation space requirement.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a locking system for a charging socket of a vehicle, in particular of a plug-in hybrid vehicle or electric vehicle; charging sockets with this type of locking system; a motor vehicle with such a charging socket; and a method for operating a motor vehicle, which do not have or at least ameliorate the disadvantages of the prior art. The object of the invention is, in particular, to create a locking system for a charging socket of a motor vehicle; a charging socket with such a locking system; a motor vehicle with a charging receptacle; and a method for operating a motor vehicle, which ensures unlocking of the locking system and thus release of a charging plug arranged in the charging socket by simple means and at low cost.
The object is therefore achieved by a locking system having a charging socket for a motor vehicle, a motor vehicle having an energy store, and a method for operating a motor vehicle. Further features and details of the invention emerge from the description and the drawings. The features and details described in relation to the locking system according to the invention are also applicable here to the charging socket according to the invention, to the motor vehicle according to the invention and to the method according to the invention and vice versa, respectively, so that the disclosure in relation to the inventive aspects is always referred to alternately or always interchangeably.
According to a first aspect of the invention, this object is achieved by a locking system for a charging socket of a motor vehicle. The locking system has: a movable locking element for engaging into a recess of the charging plug for releasably locking the charging plug in the charging socket; a drive device for moving the locking element between the locking position and the release position; and a control device for controlling the drive device. According to the invention, the locking system has a heating device for heating the locking element.
A motor vehicle, such as a plug-in hybrid vehicle or an electric vehicle, which is designed for charging its energy store by means of an external current source, has a charging socket. The locking system according to the invention is designed for use in such a charging socket. In order to charge the energy store of the motor vehicle by means of an external current source, a charging plug of the external current source can be inserted into the charging socket. In the inserted position, the charging socket is electrically coupled to a current source via a charging plug and a charging cable.
Furthermore, the charging plug can be temporarily fixed in the inserted position by means of the locking element of the locking system according to the invention. For this purpose, the locking element can be moved between a locking position and a release position by means of a drive. This movement can be performed, for example, translationally or rotationally. Preferably, the locking element is designed as a locking bolt and can be moved in translation relative to the remaining locking system by means of a drive. Alternatively, the locking element can be configured to be bendable and to be rotationally movable.
The locking element is configured to engage in a corresponding charging plug section of the charging plug, for example a recess, an aperture, an undercut or the like, in the locked position and thereby hold or fix the charging plug in a form-fitting manner at the charging socket. Furthermore, the locking element is configured to release the charging plug section and thus the charging plug in the release position for removal from the charging socket. Preferably, the locking element is made of a material with particularly good thermal conductivity, for example a metal.
The drive device can be designed, for example, as an electric motor and can have a particularly single-stage transmission. Alternatively, the drive device may also have a pressure cylinder, which may be operated pneumatically or hydraulically.
The control device is configured to control the drive device. In this way, a command of the control device can be transmitted to the drive device for moving the locking element from the release position into the locking position and from the locking position into the release position. The locking system preferably has means for detecting the locking state or position of the locking element, for example a position sensor, a stepping motor or the like. This makes it possible to switch off the drive when the selected locking position or release position is reached by means of the control device. Accordingly, it is possible to avoid further activation of the drive device by means of the control unit after the selected locking position or release position has been reached.
The heating device is configured for heating the locking element. Such heating may be effected directly or by conduction or indirectly, for example by free convection. Preferably, the heating device is arranged at or in or at least in the vicinity of the locking element. Heating is understood in the scope of the present invention to mean at least heating by which the ice disposed on the locking element melts. Preferably, such heating is provided by means of a heating device, so that ice adjacent to the locking element at the locking system, the charging socket or the charging plug can also melt. The greater the thermal output of the heating device, the faster the ice can melt at the locking element, the further components of the locking system and the charging plug. In this case, excessive thermal power, by means of which damage to the charging socket or the charging plug is possible, is to be avoided according to the invention.
Preferably, the control device is configured for controlling the heating device. It is further preferred that the control device is configured to detect the resistance at least qualitatively when the locking bolt is moved or attempted to be moved, in order to control the heating device as a function of the detected resistance. The heating device can thus be controlled by means of the control device for heating the locking element in the event of an increase in resistance. Furthermore, a temperature sensor is preferably provided, by means of which the temperature of the locking system or of the region of the charging socket can be determined. Preferably, the temperature sensor is configured for determining the temperature of the locking means or of at least one partial region of the locking means. Thus, the operating state of the heating device can be confirmed by a simple means.
The locking system according to the invention for a charging socket of a motor vehicle has the advantage over conventional locking systems that freezing of the locking pin at the charging plug and at the charging socket in the locked position can be effectively avoided in a simple manner and in a cost-effective manner. In addition, with the aid of the locking system according to the invention, freezing of the locking bolt at the charging socket in the release position can be avoided in an advantageous manner. In this way, the intended applicability of the charging socket of a motor vehicle, in particular in the case of outdoor temperatures below freezing, is significantly improved.
According to an advantageous further development of the invention, it is provided in the locking system that the heating device is thermally coupled to the locking element for the purpose of transferring heat to the locking element in the form of conduction. For this purpose, the heat transfer from the heat element to the locking element can be effected, for example, by means of a sliding bush, a sliding bearing, a brush or the like, which contacts the locking element. Alternatively, the heating device can be arranged fixedly at the outer wall or inside the locking element and can thus be moved together with the locking element. The heat transfer by conduction has the advantage that particularly effective heating of the locking element can be ensured by simple means and at low cost.
According to the invention, the locking system preferably has a guide device for guiding the locking element, wherein the heating device is arranged on the guide device. The guide device is preferably designed such that the deviation of the locking element from the predefined path of movement between the locking position and the release position is prevented by the guide device in a form-fitting manner. The heating device is preferably arranged at the guide device in such a way that it is adjacent to the locking element, preferably directly or in close proximity to the locking element, in order to improve the heat transfer from the heating device to the locking element. According to the invention, the locking system can also be designed in such a way that a heat transfer from the heating device to the guide device and from the guide device to the locking element is provided. The arrangement of the heating device at the guide device has the advantage that the heat generated by the heating device can be supplied to the locking element in a particularly advantageous manner.
It is further preferred that the guide device has a lead-through, wherein the locking element can be guided through the lead-through, wherein the heating device is arranged in the region of the lead-through. The lead-through preferably completely surrounds the locking element, but may also surround only a section of the locking element. Preferably, the lead-through has a lead-through cross section which corresponds or substantially corresponds in shape and/or size to the locking element cross section of the locking element, so that a relative movement of the locking element and the lead-through is ensured. The heating device is preferably arranged in the region of the leadthrough for improved heat transfer to the locking element. By means of such a guide device, reliable guidance of the locking element is ensured in a simple manner and at low cost.
Preferably, the heating device surrounds or at least partially surrounds the locking element. The fact that the heating device surrounds the locking element has the advantage that heat can be transferred particularly uniformly to the locking element. The larger the heat transfer surface between the heating device and the locking element is configured, the faster the locking element can be heated by means of the heating element.
In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the locking system has a display device for displaying the operating state of the heating device. The display device preferably has at least one LED which emits, for example, red light when the heating device is in operation. Alternatively or additionally, the display device may be designed, for example, as an interface for coupling to a display device of an onboard computer of a motor vehicle. In addition, the locking system can have a further display device, by means of which the locking state of the locking device can be displayed. The display device for displaying the operating state of the heating device has the advantage that it thereby displays to the user that the deicing process is ongoing and that a separation of the charging plug and the charging socket cannot take place during the time period of the deicing process. In contrast to a simple display of the locked or locked state of the locking system, this display has the advantage that the user is presented with the progress of the unlocking process of the locking system.
The locking system can preferably be coupled to a locking system of the motor vehicle in such a way that the heating device can be activated and/or deactivated by actuating the locking system. For this purpose, the control device is preferably coupled to the locking system or at least one radio key of the locking system. The unlocking of the motor vehicle can thus be detected by the control device. Additionally, the control device is preferably configured for determining the ambient temperature. Coupling to the locking system and/or determining the ambient temperature has the advantage that a desired use of the heating device can be achieved, i.e. in the event of unlocking of the motor vehicle or in the event of a frost risk. This reduces the energy consumption and wear of the locking system.
According to a second aspect of the invention, this object is achieved by a charging socket for a motor vehicle. The charging socket is configured for receiving a charging plug for electrically coupling the motor vehicle to an external current source for charging an energy store of the motor vehicle. According to the invention, the charging socket has a locking system according to the invention. In addition to the locking system, the charging socket is preferably constructed in accordance with conventional or standardized charging sockets according to the prior art. All the advantages already described for the locking system according to the first aspect of the invention result in the described charging socket. The charging socket according to the invention thus has the advantage over conventional charging sockets that freezing of the latching pin at the charging plug and at the charging socket in the latching position can be effectively avoided in a simple manner and in a cost-effective manner. In addition, with the charging socket according to the invention, freezing of the latching bolt at the charging socket in the release position can be avoided in an advantageous manner. In this way, the intended applicability of the charging socket, in particular in the case of outdoor temperatures below freezing, is significantly improved.
According to a third aspect of the invention, this object is achieved by a motor vehicle having an energy store. The energy store can be charged by means of an external current source. The motor vehicle is preferably designed as a plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle and has a drive with one or more electric motors. According to the invention, the motor vehicle has a charging socket according to the invention for the purpose of being electrically coupled to a current source for charging the energy store. All the advantages already described for the locking system according to the invention according to the first aspect of the invention and the charging socket according to the invention according to the second aspect of the invention result in the described motor vehicle. The motor vehicle according to the invention thus has the advantage over conventional motor vehicles that freezing of the latching pin at the charging plug and at the charging socket in the latched position can be effectively avoided in a simple manner and in a cost-effective manner. In addition, in the motor vehicle according to the invention, freezing of the locking bolt at the charging socket in the release position can be avoided in an advantageous manner. In this way, the intended applicability of the charging socket of a motor vehicle, in particular in the case of outdoor temperatures below freezing, is significantly improved.
According to a fourth aspect of the invention, the object is achieved by a method for operating a motor vehicle according to the invention. The method comprises the following steps:
-detecting the unlocking of the motor vehicle by means of the control device,
determining the ambient temperature of the motor vehicle by means of a control device, and
-activating, by means of the control device, a heating device for heating the locking element if the determined ambient temperature is below the lower temperature threshold.
In a first method step, the motor vehicle is unlocked by means of the control device recognition. Unlocking can take place, for example, by means of a radio signal of a radio key, actuation of a sensor at the motor vehicle, a conventional mechanical vehicle key or the like. In the case of unlocking by means of a radio key, the detection can be effected, for example, by receiving a radio signal of the radio key and/or by detecting an unlocking process of the motor vehicle which is carried out by means of a locking system of the motor vehicle.
In a second method step, the ambient temperature of the motor vehicle is determined by means of the control device. This determination can be effected, for example, by direct actuation of a temperature sensor of the motor vehicle or by querying the ambient temperature from an on-board computer, a parking heater, an air conditioner or the like.
In a third method step, the determined ambient temperature is compared with a predefined temperature threshold. The lower temperature threshold is the temperature from which freezing of the locking system is imminent and is therefore preferably 0 ℃ or at least 0 ℃. Due to local temperature differences the temperature threshold is preferably 3 ℃ or at least 3 ℃. Instead of the ambient temperature, the temperature of the charging socket, preferably of the locking element of the charging socket, can also be used within the scope of the method according to the invention. In this case, the charging socket has at least one correspondingly configured temperature sensor.
All the advantages already described for the locking system according to the invention according to the first aspect of the invention, the charging socket according to the invention according to the second aspect of the invention, and the motor vehicle according to the invention according to the third aspect of the invention result in the described method. The method according to the invention thus has the advantage over conventional methods that freezing of the latching pin at the charging plug and at the charging socket in the latching position can be effectively avoided in a simple manner and in a cost-effective manner.
