Description

Laundry care appliance with a closing flap
Technical Field
The invention relates to a laundry care appliance having a closing flap.
Background
In order to prevent wash liquor from flowing out of the laundry care appliance during the laundry care process, conventional laundry care appliances have a liquid collection container on the underside, which is designed to collect the flowing-out wash liquor inside the laundry care appliance. The corresponding liquid collection container usually has a cutout through which the transport protection element is introduced into the liquid collection container before the transport of the laundry care appliance, in order to reduce the risk of damage to the laundry care appliance during transport to the user. Before the laundry care appliance starts to operate (inbeibnahme) at the user, the transport protection element must be removed from the laundry care appliance and the indentation must be closed fluid-tightly to ensure that washing liquid cannot flow out into the presentation space of the laundry care appliance during operation of the laundry care appliance.
JP 2012254106 discloses a laundry care appliance having a base plate, wherein an opening formed in the base plate is closed by a fixedly arranged closing flap.
In US 5,056,341 a base for a laundry care appliance is disclosed, said base having an opening which is closed by a fixedly disposed closure panel.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide an advantageously transportable laundry care appliance having a liquid collection container which is closed in a fluid-tight manner.
This object is achieved by the subject matter having the features according to the invention. Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the description and the drawings.
According to one aspect, the object is achieved according to the invention by a laundry care appliance having a liquid collection container for collecting washing liquid, wherein the liquid collection container has a cutout which connects an inner region of the liquid collection container with an outer region of the liquid collection container, wherein the laundry care appliance has a closure cap which is mounted so as to be movable about at least one axis and which is arranged on the cutout in the inner region of the liquid collection container, wherein the closure cap is designed to close the cutout in a fluid-tight manner in a closed position and to release the cutout in a release position.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the closure cap ensures an effective, fluid-tight closure of the opening, so that liquid can be prevented from flowing out of the liquid collection container during operation of the laundry care appliance. In this case, the liquid collection container is arranged in particular on the underside of the laundry care appliance and/or the liquid collection container is in particular designed as a leakage liquid casing.
At the same time, it is not necessary to remove the closure flap before the transport of the laundry care appliance and to replace the closure flap after the transport of the laundry care appliance, thereby reducing the installation effort at the user when the laundry care appliance is put into operation.
Before the laundry care appliance is transported, the transport protection element can be pushed through the cutout from the outside into the laundry care appliance, as a result of which the movably mounted closing flap is moved inward into the interior region of the liquid collection container, as a result of which the transport protection element can be effectively received in the cutout in the release position of the closing flap. After the transport, the transport protection element is removed again from the laundry care appliance, and the closing flap closes the opening again in a fluid-tight manner in the closed position.
By a laundry care appliance is understood an appliance for laundry care, for example a washing machine or a laundry dryer. Such laundry care appliances are understood in particular to be household laundry care appliances. I.e. the laundry care appliance is used under the framework of a household and the laundry care appliance is used to treat household-normal amounts of laundry.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the transport-protection element can be introduced from an outer region of the liquid collection container into an inner region of the liquid collection container at least in sections through the released recess in the release position of the closure flap.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the closing lid does not have to be removed before the laundry care appliance is transported to the user. As a result of the introduction of the transport protection element into the recess, the transport protection element presses the closure flap up into the interior region of the liquid collection container into the release position. If the transport protection element is removed again before the laundry care appliance is put into operation at the user, the closure flap is moved back toward the outer region of the liquid collection container and again assumes the closed position.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the laundry care appliance has a cover housing which is arranged in the interior region of the liquid collection container and is connected to the closure cover, wherein the cover housing at least partially surrounds the cutout, wherein the cover housing has a cover housing opening, wherein the closure cover is designed to close the cover housing opening and the cutout in a fluid-tight manner in the closed position and to release the cutout and the cover housing opening in the release position.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the cover housing arranged in the liquid collection container effectively surrounds the recess and only the cover housing opening allows a fluidic connection between the inner region and the outer region of the liquid collection container. Thus, if the closure lid in the closed position fluid-tightly closes the lid housing opening, the cutout of the liquid collection container is also fluid-tightly closed.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the cover housing is fastened to the liquid collection container by a form-locking, force-locking, material-locking, magnetic and/or clamping connection, in particular a snap-on connection, an adhesive connection, a riveted connection and/or a screw connection.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: an effective, fluid-tight connection between the closure cap and the liquid collection container is ensured by the type of connection mentioned.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the lid housing has a hinge, a shaft element and/or a guide element, wherein the hinge, the shaft element and/or the guide element are designed to movably mount the closing lid on the lid housing.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the hinge and/or the shaft element enables the closing cover to be particularly effectively swung open or swung closed about at least one axis. The guide element is designed to movably mount the closing flap on the flap housing. The guide element can in particular realize a translational and/or rotational movement of the closure flap on the flap housing.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the cover housing has a housing upper side facing away from the liquid collection container, the housing upper side having a first upper side section and a second upper side section, wherein the cover housing opening is arranged on the first surface section, and the first upper side section and/or the second upper side section extend, in particular, obliquely with respect to the liquid collection container.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the cover housing opening is arranged at a position on the upper side of the housing in order to achieve an advantageous reception of the transport protection element. Since the first upper section and/or the second upper section are inclined relative to the liquid collection container, the liquid can flow away effectively on the housing upper side. In particular, the first upper portion and/or the second upper portion have an opposite inclination, wherein the housing upper side has a housing ridge which connects the first upper portion and the second upper portion to one another and the first upper portion and/or the second upper portion descend from the housing ridge in opposite directions to an edge of the housing upper side.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the cover housing has a cover web which surrounds the cover housing opening at least in sections.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the web, which surrounds the cover housing opening at least in sections, ensures effective closure of the cover housing opening in the closed position of the closure cover.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the cover housing has a sealing element which at least partially surrounds the cover housing opening in order to seal the cover housing opening effectively fluid-tightly in the closed position, and the sealing element is arranged in particular on the cover web.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: ensuring an effective fluid-tight sealing of the lid housing opening. The sealing element is in particular designed as a labyrinth seal, which is arranged on the cover connection piece.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the lid housing and the closing lid are integrally formed, in particular as a two-component injection molded part.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: particularly advantageous manufacture of the lid housing and the closing lid is ensured.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the closing lid has a lid underside which faces the cutout in the closed position, wherein at least one elevation is arranged on the lid underside, wherein the elevation extends along the lid underside and is in particular shaped as a rib.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: when the transport protection element is pushed in from below through the recess and through the lid housing opening, the transport protection element rests on at least one elevation or on at least one rib on the underside of the lid in order to open the closure lid and thereby to pivot the closure lid from the closed position into the release position. The elevation can extend in particular along the underside of the lid and in particular have a varying height in order to ensure an effective guidance of the closing lid when opening the closing lid.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the closing lid is arranged at an angle to the liquid collecting container, wherein the closing lid has a lid upper side facing away from the cutout in the closed position, wherein at least one recess is arranged on the lid upper side and extends in particular from the lid upper side towards the lid lower side for forming a raised portion arranged on the lid lower side.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the liquid can be effectively conducted away from the upper side of the cover by means of the at least one recess. The elevation ensures effective opening of the closure flap by the transport protection element when the recess extends in particular from the flap upper side towards the flap lower side and forms the elevation on the flap lower side.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the closure cap and/or the cap housing are/is formed from an elastomer, in particular ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM), acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber or nitrile rubber (Acrylnitril-butrien-Kautschuk, NBR), EPDM-SW, silicone (Silikon) and/or a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and/or from a thermoplastic, in particular polypropylene (Polypropylen, PP), polyamide (polyamide, PA), polyethylene (polythylene, PE), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (Acrylnitril-butrien-Styrol, ABS) and/or Polyoxymethylene (POM).
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the mentioned synthetic materials ensure advantageous material properties of the closure lid.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the closure flap is mounted so as to be pivotable about at least one axis and/or the closure flap is mounted so as to be movable about at least one axis in a translatory and/or rotary movement.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: ensuring that the closure is effectively opened or closed. Here, movements about one or more axes are possible, and a combined, movable guide with translational and rotational movement parts is possible.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, a floating element is arranged in the liquid collection container, and the laundry care appliance has a control device which is designed to detect the position of the floating element in order to detect a change in the position of the floating element when liquid enters the liquid collection container.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the control device can effectively detect a change in the position of the floating element in the liquid collection container when liquid enters the liquid collection container. Here, the liquid entering the liquid collecting container lifts the floating element and the control device can, for example, interrupt the water supply for the purpose of achieving a water stop function in the laundry care appliance.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the closure flap has a contact section which is designed to contact the floating element in order to change the position of the floating element by means of the contact section when the transport protection element is inserted through the recess, wherein the control device is designed to output a warning message to a user of the laundry care appliance if the control device detects a change in the position of the floating element when the laundry care appliance is put into operation.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the control device can be used to warn the user that the transport protection element has not been removed from the laundry care appliance after the laundry care appliance has started to operate. The transport-protection element is pushed at least in sections through the recess into the liquid collection container before transport, as a result of which the closure flap is moved into the release position and thus the contact section of the closure flap presses against the floating element, and the position of the floating element is changed as a result of the floating element being pressed in particular upwards.
In normal operation, the control device associates a change in position of the floating element with an increased outflow of washing liquid. However, when the laundry care appliance is put into operation, the control device associates the change in position of the floating element caused by the transport protection element with the transport protection element which has not yet been removed from the laundry care appliance and gives the user a corresponding indication.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a schematic view of a generic laundry care appliance 100, for example a washing machine. The laundry care appliance 100 comprises a rinsing housing 101, into which a detergent or other liquid substance can be filled. The laundry care appliance 100 comprises a door 103 for loading the laundry care appliance 100 with laundry, wherein the door 103 closes an appliance opening 105 of the laundry care appliance 100 and the door 103 is arranged on an appliance outer side 107 of the laundry care appliance 100.
The laundry care appliance 100 has a front side 109, a rear side 111, an upper side 113, a lower side 115 and two opposite longitudinal sides 117. In the laundry care appliance 100, a washing liquid collecting container 119, which is only schematically illustrated in fig. 1, for collecting washing liquid is arranged on the underside 115 of the laundry care appliance 100.
Fig. 2A and 2B show schematic representations of a liquid collection container of a laundry care appliance 100 with a closing lid. Fig. 2A shows the closure flap 129 in the release position. Fig. 2B shows the closure flap 129 in a closed position.
A liquid collecting container 119 for receiving washing liquid, which is arranged on the underside 115 of the laundry care appliance 100, is shown only schematically in fig. 2. The liquid collection container 119 has a gap 121 which connects an inner region 123 of the liquid collection container 119 with an outer region 125 of the liquid collection container 119.
The cutout 121 is closed in a fluid-tight manner by a closure cap 129 for preventing washing liquid received in the liquid collecting container 119 from flowing out of the laundry care appliance 100, wherein the closure cap 129 is formed from an elastomer, for example Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM), acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), EPDM SW, silicone and/or a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), and in particular has a wall thickness of between 0.2mm and 10 mm.
The laundry care appliance 100 has a lid housing 127 which is arranged in the interior region 123 of the liquid collection container 119 and is connected to a closure lid 129. The cover housing 127 at least partially surrounds the recess 121. The lid housing 127 and the closure lid 129 are in particular integrally formed, for example as a two-component injection molded part.
The cover housing 127 is fastened to the liquid collecting container 119, in particular by a form-locking, force-locking, material-locking and/or clamping connection, for example a snap-on connection, an adhesive connection, a riveted connection and/or a screw connection. A preferred embodiment is to latch the cover housing 127 in a fastening opening of the liquid collecting container 119, wherein the fastening opening is distributed over the circumference of the cover housing 127 in a multiplicity. Further embodiments are bayonet connections, screw connections, adhesives, rivets, magnetic connections, clamping solutions or wedge solutions.
In a fixed manner requiring a fixed opening of the liquid collection container 119, placing these interfaces above the level of the liquid collection container 119 is advantageous for water-stopping safety (aquastoppersischeit). This increase in these interfaces prevents shearing in the event that the connecting elements project outwardly from the plane of the fluid collection container 119. Furthermore, it is possible for the cover housing 127 to be integrated into the liquid collection container 119 or to be formed integrally therewith.
The cover housing 127 also has a hinge 131, which is designed to movably mount a closing cover 129 on the cover housing 127, in the case according to fig. 2, in a pivotable manner. Alternatively, the cover housing 127 can also have a shaft element and/or a guide element in order to mount the closing cover 129 movably, in particular pivotably and/or translationally and/or rotationally, about at least one axis 133.
The recess 121 is closed by a closure flap 129 which is mounted so as to be movable about an axis 133, wherein preferably the flap housing 127 is fastened to the liquid collection container 119. The cover housing 127 covers the recess 121 at least in sections, in particular in the region of the introduction of the transport protection element, and therefore has a smaller height. The dimensions of the closing flap 129 can thus be small and can follow the installation space permitted by the pivoting of the closing flap 129.
In order to reliably close the closure flap 129, one or more tension, compression, torsion coil springs (in particular made of stainless steel or integrated as plastic spring elements in the closure flap 129 and/or in the flap housing 127) are provided. Curved springs made of steel or plastic as well as elastomeric braces are also possible. Furthermore, it is possible to achieve a reliable closing of the closure flap 129 merely by gravity and a limited opening angle.
In further embodiments, the pivot axis 133 of the closure flap 129 is arranged vertically or the closure flap 129 is moved in translation and thus releases the opening for transporting the protective element. Chute guides with combined translational and rotational movement and closure flap 129 with multiple pivot axes 133 are also possible.
The cover housing 127 has a cover top side 135 facing away from the liquid collecting container 119, which in turn has a first top section 135-1 and a second top section 135-2. Here, the first and second upper sections 135-1, 135-2 are interconnected by a shell ridge 135-3, wherein the first upper section 135-1 and the second upper section 135-2 descend from the shell ridge 135-3 opposite each other to the respective edges of the lid shell 127. Thus, the upper sections 135-1, 135-2 are arranged obliquely with respect to the liquid collection container 119.
Furthermore, the lid housing 127 has a lid connection piece 137, which at least partially surrounds the lid housing opening 139 and ensures a fluid-tight closure of the lid housing opening 139 by the closure lid 129. Here, a sealing element can also be arranged on the cover web 137.
At least one elevation 143 is arranged on the cover underside 141 of the closing cover 129 facing the cutout 121, wherein the elevation 143 extends along the cover underside 141. When the transport protection element, which is not shown in fig. 2, is pushed in, it presses against the elevation 143 and opens the closing flap 129 upwards.
The raised portion 143 on the cover underside 141 of the closing cover 129 serves to better pivot the closing cover 129 open when the transport protection element is pushed in. The transport protection element is in contact only with the inclined surface and the radius of the elevation 143 and not in direct contact with the closing flap 129, which also ensures that the closing flap 129 is not pinched when the transport protection element is pulled out. The surface and contour of the closure flap 129 are configured such that the impinging liquid can run off directly due to the gradient.
Furthermore, at least one recess for conducting away liquid can be arranged on the cover upper side 145 of the closing cover 129 facing away from the cutout 121.
Fig. 3 shows a schematic representation of a liquid collection container of a laundry care appliance with a closing lid and a transport protection element. For a detailed configuration of the closure cap 129 and the cap housing 127, reference is made to the embodiment summarized in fig. 2A and 2B.
Fig. 3 shows the closure flap 129 in the release position in the transport state of the laundry care appliance 100. In order to ensure reliable transport of the laundry care appliance 100, the transport protection element 147, in particular a vibration-damping form, is introduced into the interior region 123 of the liquid collection container 119 through the recess 121 before transport.
After removal of the transport protection element 147 after the end of transport, the closing flap 129 is moved back into the closed position here and thus further ensures the water stop function.
In a further embodiment, a contact section can be arranged on the closing flap 129, which contact section, with the opening of the closing flap 129, is pressed inward against the floating element of the water sensor by the transport-protection element and thereby actuates the floating element, or moves it upward. With the transport protection element 147 removed, the contact section moves back and releases the floating element and the water stop sensor again. By means of this signal, the control device of the laundry care appliance 100 can evaluate analytically whether the transport protection element 147 has been removed correctly before the appliance is operated, or whether the laundry care appliance 100 is activated only if the transport protection element 147 is removed. An indication of this may be shown on the appliance display surface and the user prompted to remove the transport protection element 147. In this way, incorrect operation of the laundry care appliance 100 with the transport protection element 147 installed is precluded.
The inner installation (In-House-Montage) can be ensured by the closure flap 129 according to the invention, whereby incorrect installation of the closure of the recess 121 can be ruled out. Further, the water stop function can be ensured by the notch 121 closed from the beginning, and user-installation of the closing cover 129 is not required. The closure flap 129 robustly prevents incorrect removal or incorrect handling of the transport protection element 147 and prevents entry of an animal through the gap 121.
All features explained and shown in connection with the various embodiments of the invention can be provided in the subject-matter according to the invention in different combinations in order to achieve their advantageous effects simultaneously.
The scope of protection of the invention is given by the appended claims and is not limited to the features explained in the description or shown in the drawings.
