Abstract

The application discloses a playing device and a control method thereof. The playing device is used for providing the video signal for the display screen to play the content, and comprises: the playing module is used for generating a video signal; and a daemon module connected with the playing module and used for controlling the playing action of the playing module, wherein the playing device has an application desktop mode and a safe desktop mode, the output of the video signal is disabled in the application desktop mode, and the output of the video signal is enabled in the safe desktop mode. The playing device controls the output mode of the video signal according to the desktop mode of the playing device, so that the content safety of the display screen is improved, and the maintenance cost is reduced.

Playing device and control method thereof
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of display technologies, and in particular, to a playback apparatus and a control method thereof.
Background
With the development of networking and informatization, large outdoor display screens are widely used. For example, a display screen disposed on an outer wall or a top of a building is used to provide advertisement information, safety notice information, and the like. The outdoor display screen is required to have not only a large size but also a high brightness due to the application environment. The LED display screen adopts high-brightness Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) as pixel elements, and a large-size screen can be assembled by a plurality of modules, so that the requirements of the application environment of the outdoor display screen can be met.
The existing playing device of the LED display screen adopts a visible and available control method, namely, the playing device drags and drops display contents in the display range of the LED display screen, and the contents are synchronously displayed on the LED display screen. Although the control method is simple and convenient, the control method has many hidden dangers, such as interruption of the display content of the LED display screen caused by misoperation, or the fact that the display content is not displayed on the LED display screen, and the like. In this control method, in order to monitor the display content of the LED display screen, manual attendance or periodic inspection is required. The existing playing device has poor stability and high maintenance cost.
Further improvements in the playback apparatus of the LED display screen and the control method thereof are expected to improve the security of the display content of the display screen.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above, the present invention provides a playing apparatus and a control method thereof, wherein an output mode of a video signal is controlled according to a desktop mode of the playing apparatus, so as to improve security of display contents of a display screen and reduce maintenance cost.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a playing apparatus for providing a video signal to a display screen for content playing, including: the playing module is used for decoding the program source to generate a video signal; and a daemon module connected with the playing module and used for controlling the playing action of the playing module, wherein the playing device has an application desktop mode and a safe desktop mode, the output of the video signal is disabled in the application desktop mode, and the output of the video signal is enabled in the safe desktop mode.
Preferably, the playing device enables the daemon module and the playing module in the secure desktop mode, thereby enabling output of the video signal.
Preferably, in the secure desktop mode, the daemon module obtains the highest priority, then performs system security check, and after the security check is passed, the playback module obtains the highest priority.
Preferably, the daemon module monitors processes and windows running in the system and terminates illegal processes and illegal windows when the security check fails.
Preferably, in the application desktop mode, the playing module stops working, so that the display screen enters a standby state, or outputs a full black signal, so that the display screen displays a full black picture.

Preferably, in the secure desktop mode, the following steps are performed: the daemon process obtains the highest priority; the daemon process carries out system security check; the playing process obtains the highest priority; and the playing process decodes the program source to generate the video signal.
Preferably, the daemon monitors processes and windows running in the system and terminates illegal processes and illegal windows when the security check fails.
Preferably, in the application desktop mode, the playing process stops working, so that the display screen enters a standby state, or outputs a full black signal, so that the display screen displays a full black picture.

The invention will be described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Like elements in the various figures are denoted by like reference numerals. For purposes of clarity, the various features in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale. In addition, certain well known components may not be shown.
In the description of the present invention, it is to be understood that the terms "first," "second," and the like are used for descriptive purposes only and are not to be construed as indicating or implying relative importance. In addition, in the description of the present invention, "a plurality" means two or more unless otherwise specified.
Fig. 1 is a schematic block diagram of an LED display screen playback system. The LED display screen playing system 100 includes a playing device 101, a video controller 102 and a display screen 103.
The playing device 101 may be a computer or an embedded terminal. The playback device 101 decodes the program source to generate a video signal. The program source is, for example, a local video file or streaming media acquired via a network. The video controller 102 further processes the video signal into display data that conforms to the display screen specification. The display screen 103 is used for displaying corresponding contents such as videos, pictures and texts, notifications and the like according to the received display data.
The display screen 103 may be any one of an LCD display screen, an LED display screen, and an OLED display screen. In this embodiment, the display screen 103 is an LED display screen. The LED display screen is a flat panel display, consists of a plurality of small LED module panels and is used for displaying various information such as characters, images, videos, video signals and the like.
Fig. 2 is a schematic block diagram of a playback apparatus according to a first embodiment of the present invention. The playback device 101 includes a plurality of desktop modes. For example, the playback apparatus 101 is a computer running an operating system (e.g., a Windows system). The operating system has an application desktop mode 1011 and a secure desktop mode 1012.
The playback device 101 automatically enters the secure desktop mode 1012 when the system is started. After the startup, the playback apparatus 101 can switch between the application desktop mode 1011 and the secure desktop mode 1012 according to a user operation instruction.
Further, the playing apparatus 101 controls the output mode of the video signal according to the desktop mode, i.e. the output of the video signal is turned off in the application desktop mode, and the output of the video signal is enabled in the secure desktop mode.
The secure desktop of the playing device 101 includes original display content of the display content on the display screen in the computer or the embedded terminal, for example, the original display content occupies the whole area of the secure desktop, or the original display content occupies a part of the area of the secure desktop.
The playback device 101 includes a daemon module 1012A and a playback module 1012B. The daemon module 1012A is used to control the playing module 1012B, and monitor the security desktop process and various windows affecting the desktop, and terminate the illegal process and window. The playing module 1012B is mainly used for playing and displaying the content, and playing and displaying the content according to the playing rule. The daemon module 1012A and the playback module 1012B in the playback apparatus 101 are, for example, hardware modules or processes.
In the secure desktop mode, the daemon module 1012A controls the playing module 1012B to play the display content. The playback apparatus 101 enables output of the video signal so that the video signal is supplied to the video controller 102 and the display screen 103 plays the display content normally. When the play module 1012B fails or terminates abnormally, the play module 1012B is automatically restarted, and the daemon module 1012A automatically sets the play module 1012B to the highest priority, higher than the operating system level window. Upon receiving the user control command, the playback device 101 may switch back to the application desktop mode.
In the application desktop mode, the playback apparatus 101 disconnects the output of the video signal, for example, the output of a disable signal or the output of a full black signal. The video controller 102 fails to obtain valid display contents, and the display screen 103 displays a local screen, or a full black screen, or enters a standby state.
Further, in the application desktop mode, after receiving the user control command, the playing device 101 may switch back to the secure desktop mode. In the application desktop mode, when the system is idle, the playback device 101 automatically switches back to the secure desktop mode. After returning to the secure desktop mode, the playback apparatus 101 normally outputs a video signal.
When the above-mentioned full black signal is used for operating the original contents of the system and the desktop after the safe desktop exits, the display contents of the display screen 103 are in a full black or standby state, and the signal of the full black contents is output.
The playing device according to this embodiment can operate in different desktop modes, and control the output of the video signal according to the desktop mode. The playing device comprises a daemon module and a playing module, the security desktop mode is automatically entered when the playing device is started, the playing device starts video output, and the daemon module starts a monitoring process and a playing process. After switching from the secure desktop mode to the application desktop mode, the playback apparatus disconnects the video output. Therefore, the playing device can automatically control the display content on the display screen according to the desktop mode, avoid the display screen from displaying unplanned display information, greatly improve the stability and reliability of the display content of the display screen, avoid manual watching or inspection and reduce the maintenance cost.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart of a playback apparatus according to a second embodiment of the present invention. The playback device 101 includes a plurality of desktop modes. For example, the playback apparatus 101 is a computer running an operating system (e.g., a Windows system). The operating system has an application desktop mode 1011 and a secure desktop mode 1012. In this embodiment, the daemon module 1012A and the playback module 1012B in the playback apparatus 101 are a daemon process and a playback process, respectively.
In step S101, the playback apparatus 101 starts.
In step S102, the playback device 101 enters the secure desktop mode.
In step S103, the daemon of the playback apparatus 101 obtains the highest priority of the system.
In step S104, the daemon process performs system security check, for example, to determine whether there is an illegal process or illegal window in the current system. If the security check is passed, the process proceeds to step S106, and if the security check is not passed, the process proceeds to step S105.
In step S105, the daemon process clears the illegal process or illegal window.
In step S106, the daemon process controls the playback process to obtain the highest priority of the system.
In step S107, the daemon determines whether a user control command is received. If no user control command is received, step S108 is entered. If a user control command is received, the process proceeds to step S109.
In step S108, the playback process plays back the content.
In step S109, the playback apparatus 101 returns to the application desktop mode.

Claims (11)

1. A playback apparatus for providing a video signal to a display screen for content playback, comprising:
the playing module is used for decoding the program source to generate a video signal; and
a daemon module connected with the playing module and used for controlling the playing action of the playing module,
wherein, the operating system of the playing device has an application desktop mode and a safe desktop mode, automatically enters the safe desktop mode when being started, and after being started, the playing device switches between the application desktop mode and the safe desktop mode according to the operation instruction of a user,
and the playing device disables the output of the video signal in the application desktop mode, enables the output of the video signal in the safe desktop mode and carries out system safety check through a process and a window running in a monitoring system.
2. The playback device of claim 1, wherein the playback device enables the daemon module and the playback module in the secure desktop mode, thereby enabling output of the video signal.
3. The playback apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein in the secure desktop mode, the daemon module obtains the highest priority and then performs a system security check, and after the security check is passed, the playback module obtains the highest priority.
4. The playback apparatus as claimed in claim 3, wherein the daemon module terminates the illegal process and the illegal window when the security check fails.
5. The playback device of claim 3, wherein in the application desktop mode, the playback module stops operating to enable the display screen to enter a standby state or to output a full black signal to enable the display screen to display a full black picture.
6. The playback device of claim 1, wherein in the application desktop mode, the playback device automatically switches back to the secure desktop mode when the system is idle.

A control method of a playing device, an operating system of the playing device has an application desktop mode and a secure desktop mode, the control method is used for controlling the playing device to provide a video signal to a display screen for content playing, and comprises the following steps:
when the system is started, automatically entering a safe desktop mode; and

wherein output of the video signal is disabled in the application desktop mode, output of the video signal is enabled in the secure desktop mode and system security checks are performed by monitoring processes and windows running in a system.
8. The control method according to claim 7, wherein in the secure desktop mode, the following steps are performed:
the daemon process obtains the highest priority;
the daemon process carries out system security check;
the playing process obtains the highest priority; and
the playback process decodes a program source to produce the video signal.
9. The control method of claim 8, wherein the daemon terminates the illegal process and the illegal window when the security check fails.
10. The control method according to claim 8, wherein in the application desktop mode, the playback process stops working, so that the display screen enters a standby state, or outputs a full black signal, so that the display screen displays a full black picture.
11. The control method according to claim 7, wherein in the application desktop mode, when a system is idle, the secure desktop mode is automatically switched back.
