Description

OLED panel and display device
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of display, in particular to an OLED panel and a display device.
Background
In the prior art, in order to realize the outdoor visual function of an Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) panel, a linear polarization layer (POL) is disposed on the display side of the OLED panel to reduce the reflection of external ambient Light, thereby realizing the outdoor visual function of the OLED panel. Typically, POL has a light transmittance of 44% and a reflectance of 5%, and its thickness is greater than 50 μm. POLs of such thickness are disadvantageous for achieving flexible display characteristics of the OLED panel, such as folding, curling, etc. In order to realize flexible display characteristics, it is necessary to reduce the thickness of the POL. At present, a color film is usually adopted to replace POL, so that the OLED panel is light and thin.
However, when the color film is used instead of POL, the transmittance of the black matrix adjacent to the color film is substantially 0, and thus, the light emitted from the OLED can only pass through the color film. In order to increase the large viewing angle brightness attenuation angle, the aperture opening ratio of the color film needs to be increased, but as the aperture opening ratio of the color film is increased, the reflectivity of the OLED panel is also increased, which is not favorable for realizing the outdoor visual function.
Disclosure of Invention
An object of the embodiments of the present invention is to provide an OLED panel and a display device, so that the OLED panel satisfies a low reflectivity while increasing a large viewing angle brightness attenuation angle, and is beneficial to implementing an outdoor visual function and a light and thin property of the OLED panel.
In order to solve the technical problem, an embodiment of the present invention provides an OLED panel, which includes a substrate, an organic light emitting layer disposed on the substrate, and a color filter layer disposed on the organic light emitting layer, where the organic light emitting layer includes OLED pixels, and the color filter layer includes a color film disposed on the OLED pixels.
Optionally, an orthographic projection of the color film on the substrate is located in an orthographic projection of the OLED pixel on the substrate.
Optionally, the color filter layer further includes a black matrix disposed between adjacent color films.
Optionally, the organic light emitting layer further includes a pixel defining layer for defining the OLED pixel region, and the pixel defining layer is made of a black opaque material.
Optionally, an orthographic projection of the color film on the substrate completely coincides with an orthographic projection of the OLED pixel on the substrate.
Optionally, the OLED panel further includes a film encapsulation layer disposed on a side of the color filter layer away from the organic light emitting layer, and an encapsulation cover plate disposed on the film encapsulation layer and aligned with the substrate.
Optionally, the OLED panel further includes a protective film layer disposed between the organic light emitting layer and the color filter layer.
Optionally, the material of the protective film layer includes at least one of silicon nitride and silicon oxide.
Optionally, the thickness of the protective film layer is 0.5 μm to 2 μm.
In order to solve the above technical problem, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a display device including the OLED panel described above.
According to the OLED panel disclosed by the embodiment of the invention, the color filter layer is arranged on the organic light emitting layer, and the color film is arranged on the OLED pixels, so that compared with the prior art, the distance between the color film and the OLED pixels is greatly reduced, the large-viewing-angle brightness attenuation angle of the OLED panel is greatly increased, and the large-viewing-angle brightness attenuation angle of the OLED panel is increased. Meanwhile, the OLED panel with the structure can increase the large-view-angle brightness attenuation angle without increasing the aperture opening ratio of the color film, avoids the influence of the increased color film aperture opening ratio on the reflectivity of the OLED panel, ensures the low reflectivity of the OLED panel and increases the large-view-angle brightness attenuation angle, and is favorable for realizing the outdoor visual function of the OLED panel.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be noted that the embodiments and features of the embodiments in the present application may be arbitrarily combined with each other without conflict.
Fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of an OLED panel. The OLED panel sequentially includes a substrate 10, a Thin Film Transistor (TFT) array layer 20, an organic light emitting layer 30, a Thin Film Encapsulation (TFE) layer 40, a touch layer 50, a POL layer 60, and an Encapsulation cover plate 70. The POL layer 60 mainly functions to reduce the reflection of the external ambient light, so as to realize the outdoor visual function of the OLED panel. Generally, the POL layer 60 has a light transmittance of about 44%, a reflectance of about 5%, and a thickness greater than 50 μm, and thus the POL layer having such a thickness is not favorable for realizing the folding and bending characteristics of the OLED panel, and is not favorable for making the OLED panel thinner.
FIG. 2 is a schematic structural diagram of another OLED panel. As can be seen from a comparison between fig. 2 and fig. 1, the OLED panel in fig. 2 employs the color filter layer 80 instead of the POL layer 60, and compared with the POL layer, the thickness of the color filter layer 80 is less than 10 μm, which is beneficial to implementing the folding and bending characteristics of the OLED panel, and implementing the lightness and thinness of the panel.
As can be seen from fig. 2, the organic light emitting Layer 30 includes a Pixel Defining Layer (PDL) 31 and a Pixel region defined by the Pixel defining Layer 31, the OLED Pixel 32 is disposed in the Pixel region, and the Color filter Layer 80 includes Color Films (CF) 81 and Black Matrixes (BM) 82 disposed between adjacent Color films 81. The color film 81 corresponds to the OLED pixel 32 and is used for transmitting light emitted by the OLED pixel. Since the light transmittance of the black matrix 82 is almost 0, light emitted by the OLED pixels can only transmit through the color film 81, so that the large-viewing-angle luminance attenuation angle of the OLED panel can be shown, and the angle α shown in fig. 2 is the large-viewing-angle luminance attenuation angle of the OLED panel shown in fig. 2.
Fig. 3 is a schematic structural diagram of an OLED panel related to fig. 2. In order to increase the large viewing angle luminance attenuation angle, in the OLED panel in fig. 3, the aperture ratio of the color film 81 'is increased compared to that of the color film 81 in fig. 2, that is, in fig. 3, the projection of the color film 81' on the substrate 10 includes and is larger than the projection of the OLED pixel 32 on the substrate 10, and therefore, the large viewing angle luminance attenuation angle β shown in fig. 3 is larger than the angle α shown in fig. 2. However, it is easy to understand that the increase of the aperture ratio of the color film, that is, the increase of the ratio of the color film on the entire panel, correspondingly results in the decrease of the ratio of the black matrix on the entire panel, and since the reflectance of the color film is greater than that of the black matrix, the increase of the ratio of the color film on the entire panel inevitably results in the increase of the total reflectance of the panel, which leads to the decrease of the luminance of the OLED panel, and is not favorable for the display of the OLED panel. Fig. 4 is a schematic diagram illustrating a relationship between a color film opening of an OLED panel and a panel reflectivity. As can be seen from fig. 4, as the aperture ratio of the color film increases, the reflectivity of the OLED panel also increases.
In order to obtain a low reflectivity of the OLED panel and increase the large viewing angle brightness attenuation angle, the thicknesses of the thin film encapsulation layer and the touch layer may be reduced, so that the large viewing angle brightness attenuation angle is increased while the reflectivity is not affected, as shown in fig. 5, fig. 5 is a schematic structural diagram of another OLED panel related to fig. 2. The structure of the OLED panel shown in fig. 5 has a smaller thickness of the thin film encapsulation layer 40 ' and the touch layer 50 ' than that of fig. 2, and thus, in fig. 5, the large viewing angle luminance attenuation angle α ' is greater than that of fig. 2. However, due to the limitation of the prior art process, the thickness of the touch layer is determined by the thickness of the substrate, and the too thin film encapsulation layer may reduce the water and oxygen blocking performance of the OLED, thereby making it difficult to realize a thinner film encapsulation layer and touch layer.
In order to increase the large viewing angle brightness attenuation angle of the OLED panel without affecting the reflectivity of the OLED panel, the embodiment of the invention provides an OLED panel. The OLED panel comprises a substrate, an organic light emitting layer arranged on the substrate and a color filter layer arranged on the light emitting side of the organic light emitting layer, wherein the organic light emitting layer comprises OLED pixels, and the color filter layer comprises a color film arranged on the OLED pixels.
According to the OLED panel provided by the embodiment of the invention, the color filter layer is arranged on the light-emitting side of the organic light-emitting layer, so that the distance between the color film and the OLED pixels is reduced compared with the prior art, the large-viewing-angle brightness attenuation angle of the OLED panel is increased, the large-viewing-angle brightness attenuation angle can be increased without increasing the opening ratio of the color film, the low reflectivity of the OLED panel is maintained, the large-viewing-angle brightness attenuation angle is increased, and the outdoor visual function and the light and thin performance of the OLED panel are favorably realized.
The technical solutions of the embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail by specific examples.
The first embodiment:
fig. 6 is a schematic structural diagram of an OLED panel according to a first embodiment of the present invention. As can be seen from fig. 6, the OLED panel of the present embodiment includes a substrate 10, a TFT array layer 20, an organic light emitting layer 30, and a color filter layer 80. Wherein the TFT array layer 20 is disposed on the substrate 10, and the organic light emitting layer 30 is disposed on the TFT array layer 20. The organic light emitting layer 30 includes OLED pixels 32 and a pixel defining layer 31 defining an area of the OLED pixels 32. The color filter layer 80 is disposed on the organic light emitting layer 30, the color filter layer 80 includes a color film 81, the color film 81 is disposed on the OLED pixels 32, and the color film 81 and the OLED pixels 32 are disposed in a one-to-one correspondence.
The color film 81 is disposed on the OLED pixel 32, so that light emitted from the OLED pixel 32 is emitted through the color film 81. In order to make the light emitted from the OLED pixels 32 only emit through the color film, the OLED panel further includes black opaque patterns, and the black opaque patterns are located between the adjacent color films 81.
In this embodiment, the color filter layer 80 further includes a black matrix 82 disposed between adjacent color films 81, and the black matrix 82 forms a black opaque pattern. The light transmittance of the black matrix 82 is almost 0, so that the large viewing angle luminance attenuation angle of the OLED pixel 32 is shown as λ in fig. 6, and the large viewing angle luminance attenuation angle α of the related art OLED panel is shown in fig. 6 at the same time, and by comparing λ and α, it is known that λ is much larger than α.
According to the OLED panel provided by the embodiment of the invention, the color filter layer 80 is arranged on the organic light emitting layer 30, and the color film 81 is arranged on the OLED pixels 32, so that compared with the prior art, the distance between the color film 81 and the OLED pixels is greatly reduced, the large-viewing-angle brightness attenuation angle of the OLED panel is greatly increased compared with the prior art, and the large-viewing-angle brightness attenuation angle of the OLED panel is increased.
It is easily understood that the OLED panel gradually attenuates brightness as the viewing angle increases. The large viewing angle luminance decay angle can be understood as the viewing angle of the OLED panel increases when the luminance of the OLED panel decreases by a certain percentage (e.g., 50%). The larger the large viewing angle brightness attenuation angle is, the larger the viewing angle of the OLED panel is in the range of maintaining the visible brightness of the OLED panel, namely, the larger the visible range of the OLED panel is, so that the outdoor visible function of the OLED panel is more favorably realized.
In order to better obtain the low reflectivity of the OLED panel, in this embodiment, the orthographic projection of the color film 81 on the substrate 10 is located in the orthographic projection of the OLED pixel 32 on the substrate 10, that is, the orthographic projection of the color film 81 on the substrate 10 is located inside the orthographic projection of the OLED pixel 32 on the substrate 10, and the orthographic projection area of the color film 81 on the substrate 10 is less than or equal to the orthographic projection area of the OLED pixel 32 on the substrate 10, so that the large viewing angle brightness attenuation angle is increased, and meanwhile, the reflectivity of the OLED panel can be further reduced, and the brightness of the OLED panel is improved.
In the present embodiment, the black matrix 82 is formed on the pixel defining layer 31. The color film 81 is formed on the OLED pixel 32, and specifically, the color film 81 may be formed in the area of the OLED pixel 32 by an inkjet printing method. It is to be understood that, in other embodiments, the color film may be formed in the area of the OLED pixel in other manners, for example, the color film is formed first, and then the color film pattern is formed through a patterning process. The "patterning process" as referred to herein includes processes such as coating a photoresist, mask exposure, development, etching, and stripping a photoresist, and is a well-established manufacturing process.
As can also be seen in fig. 6, the OLED panel may further include a thin film encapsulation layer 40 and an encapsulation cover plate 70. The thin film encapsulation layer 40 is disposed on a side of the color filter layer 80 facing away from the organic light emitting layer 30, and the encapsulation cover plate 70 is disposed above the thin film encapsulation layer 40 and aligned with the substrate 10 to form an OLED panel. The thin film encapsulation layer 40 can prevent moisture from entering the OLED pixels 32, improving the water and oxygen barrier properties of the OLED panel.
In order to implement the touch control function of the OLED panel, the OLED panel may further include a touch control structure layer 50, and the touch control structure layer 50 may be disposed between the thin film encapsulation layer 40 and the encapsulation cover plate 70.
As can be seen from fig. 6, the color filter layer 80 for the OLED panel of the present embodiment replaces the POL layer, and compared with the POL layer, the color filter layer 80 has a smaller thickness, so as to facilitate the thinning and lightening of the OLED panel, and when the substrate 10 is made of a flexible material, such as polyimide, the folding and bending characteristics of the OLED panel can be achieved, so as to obtain a flexible OLED panel.
Second embodiment:
fig. 7 is a schematic structural diagram of an OLED panel according to a second embodiment of the invention. Unlike the first embodiment, in the present embodiment, as shown in fig. 7, the OLED panel further includes a protective film layer 90, and the protective film layer 90 is located between the organic light emitting layer 30 and the color filter layer 80. The protective film 90 can further protect the OLED pixel 32 and the cathode of the OLED pixel 32, and further improve the water and oxygen resistance of the OLED panel.
The material of the protective film 90 includes at least one of silicon nitride and silicon oxide. In a specific implementation, the material of the protection film 90 may be silicon nitride, silicon oxide, or a mixture of silicon nitride and silicon oxide. After the organic light emitting layer 30 is formed, the protective film layer 90 may be formed on the organic light emitting layer 30 by vapor deposition. The thickness of the protective film 90 is usually 0.5 μm to 2 μm, in this embodiment, the thickness of the protective film 90 is 1 μm, and the protective film with this thickness can not only improve the water and oxygen resistance of the OLED panel, but also does not affect the overall thickness of the OLED panel, and does not reduce the flexibility of the OLED panel.
The third embodiment:
fig. 8 is a schematic structural diagram of an OLED panel according to a third embodiment of the invention. As can be seen from fig. 8, the OLED panel of the present embodiment includes a substrate 10, a TFT array layer 20, an organic light emitting layer 30, and a color filter layer 80. The color filter layer 80 is disposed on the organic light emitting layer 30. Different from the first embodiment, in the present embodiment, the color filter layer 80 includes a color film 81, and the color film 81 is disposed on the OLED pixel 32.
In addition, in the embodiment, the pixel defining layer 31 is made of a black opaque material, such as a black resin material, so that the pixel defining layer 31 forms a black opaque pattern, so that the light emitted by the OLED pixel 32 can only be emitted through the color film 81. Therefore, the large viewing angle luminance attenuation angle λ ' can be illustrated in fig. 8, and the large viewing angle luminance attenuation angle α of the OLED panel in the prior art is also illustrated in fig. 8, and by comparing λ ' and α, it can be known that λ ' is much larger than α.
According to the OLED panel disclosed by the embodiment of the invention, the color film 81 is arranged on the OLED pixels 32, and the pixel defining layer 31 is made of the black opaque material, so that the large-viewing-angle brightness attenuation angle of the OLED panel is further increased compared with alpha, and the large-viewing-angle brightness attenuation angle of the OLED panel is increased. Meanwhile, according to the OLED panel with the structure, the large-view-angle brightness attenuation angle can be increased without increasing the aperture opening ratio of the color film, the influence of the increased color film aperture opening ratio on the reflectivity of the OLED panel is avoided, the large-view-angle brightness attenuation angle is increased while the low reflectivity of the OLED panel is ensured, the outdoor visual function of the OLED panel is favorably realized, in addition, the OLED panel of the embodiment adopts the color filter layer to replace the POL layer, the black opaque material is adopted by setting the pixel defining layer, so that a black matrix is not required to be set between the adjacent color films, the thickness of the OLED panel is further reduced, and the light and thin property of the OLED panel is realized.
In order to ensure low reflectivity of the OLED panel and avoid light leakage between the color film 81 and the pixel defining layer, in this embodiment, an orthogonal projection of the color film 81 on the substrate 10 completely coincides with an orthogonal projection of the OLED pixel 32 on the substrate 10, so that light emitted by the OLED pixel 32 can be emitted through the color film 81, and light leakage is avoided.
In this embodiment, after the organic light emitting layer 30 is formed, the color film 81 is formed in the area of the OLED pixel 32, specifically, the color film 81 may be formed in the area of the OLED pixel 32 by an inkjet printing method. It is to be understood that, in other embodiments, the color film may be formed in the area of the OLED pixel in other manners, for example, the color film is formed first, and then the color film pattern is formed through a patterning process.
As can also be seen in fig. 8, the OLED panel may further include a thin film encapsulation layer 40 and an encapsulation cover plate 70.
8, the color film 81 of the OLED panel of this embodiment replaces the POL layer, and compared with the POL layer, the color film 81 has a smaller thickness, and in this embodiment, the pixel defining layer is made of a black opaque material, so that a black matrix is not required to be disposed between the color films, the thickness of the OLED panel is further reduced, and the OLED panel is more favorably thinned and thinned.

Unlike the third embodiment, in the present embodiment, as shown in fig. 9, the OLED panel further includes a protective film layer 90, and the protective film layer 90 is located between the organic light emitting layer 30 and the color filter layer 80. The protective film 90 can further protect the OLED pixel 32 and the cathode of the OLED pixel 32, and further improve the water and oxygen resistance of the OLED panel.
The material of the protective film 90 may be silicon nitride, silicon oxide, or a mixture of silicon nitride and silicon oxide. After the organic light emitting layer 30 is formed, the protective film layer 90 may be formed on the organic light emitting layer 30 by vapor deposition. The thickness of the protective film layer 90 is usually 0.5 μm to 2 μm, and in the present embodiment, the thickness of the protective film layer 90 is 1 μm.
