本发明中的当归，性味甘、辛，温。含挥发油，棕榈酸，蔗糖，烟酸，维生素E等。补血活血，化瘀生新，调经润燥。主治血虚头疼，腰疼，心腹诸疼，大便燥结，痿痹，症瘕，痈疽瘡疡，经闭，经来腹痛，崩漏。
本发明中的川芎，性味辛，温。含挥发油，酚性成分，内脂类，阿魏酸等。行气开郁，袪风燥湿，活血止痛。主治风冷头痛眩晕，肋疼腹痛，寒痹筋挛，经闭，难产，产后瘀阴块痛。痈疽疮疡。
本发明中的白芷，性味辛，温。含白芷素，白芷醚，珊瑚菜素。袪风散湿，活血止痛，生肌排脓。主治感冒头痛，眉棱骨疼，牙痛，鼻渊，肠风痔漏，赤白带下，痈疽疫毒，皮肤瘙痒。
本发明中的白蔹，性味苦，平。含粘液质，淀粉等。泻火，解毒，生肌，止痛。主治痈肿疮毒，瘰疬，痔漏，女子赤白带下。外治烫火伤，疮口不敛。
本发明中的知母，性味苦，寒。含甾体皂甙，知母皂甙，乳糖等。清肺润燥，滋阴降火，除烦止渴。主治烦热消渴，骨蒸劳热，肺热咳喘。
本发明中的枳壳，性味苦，酸，微寒。含挥发油，黄酮类。破气，行疾，消食。主治胸膈痰滞，心腹结气，两胁胀痛，宿食不消。
本发明中的桔梗，性味苦、辛，微温。含桔梗皂甙，甾醇，葡萄糖等。宣肺散寒，利咽喉，消痰排脓。主治外感咳嗽，痰壅喘促，咽喉肿痛，肺痈，咳吐脓血。
阴虚火旺型蝴蝶斑多见于育龄期妇女，该年龄段妇女由于事业家务繁忙，加之孕育亏耗，多见肝气郁结，肾阴亏虚，肝郁则气滞血瘀，肾阴不足则火燥血热，耗津伤血以致血虚血瘀，气血瘀滞于颜色使面部气血失和而发病。本发明具有滋阴降火，活血化瘀，补肾消斑的功能，治疗阴虚火旺型蝴蝶斑效果好。本发明的有益效果是经临床应用证明疗效确切，安全无毒副作用。
