Abstract
The invention provides a medical spherical sponge eye brush and a preparation process thereof. The invention can effectively absorb the eye exudates or cleaning liquid, effectively remove the eye foreign matters, has no damage to eyes, and has simple production process and small loss.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a medical spherical sponge eye brush and a preparation method thereof, the medical spherical sponge eye brush consists of a three-dimensional porous polyvinyl acetal sponge and a plastic handle, and belongs to the field of medical appliances, and the appliance is suitable for imbibition and cleaning of ophthalmic surgery.
Background
The eye brush product is applied to clinic for more than 30 years, is mainly used for absorbing and cleaning in ophthalmic surgery, and is usually composed of a sponge head and a plastic handle. The sponge head is triangular or polygonal, and is made of PVA or cellulose, such as PVA sponge eye brush (Beijing Kangan, shandong Weigao, american Dunli), and cellulose sponge eye brush (Aierkang company, U.S. BVI). The eye brush has the problem that the cleaning effect is poor because the appearance of the sponge head is irregular and the eye brush can only be used for wiping by hand.
Chinese patent CN 104837443A mentions an electric device for treating ophthalmic diseases, in which the sponge swab is driven by an electromechanical device to impact the foreign matter in a high-speed rotation, vibration or reciprocating motion manner, so that the foreign matter is effectively removed, but the sponge swab has a risk of causing mechanical damage to eyes in the process of high-speed wiping or vibration due to rough surface.
The traditional eye brush product is produced by foaming and molding the sponge alone, and after the sponge is molded, the sponge is assembled with the plastic handle through a series of cutting, compressing, assembling, welding or dispensing procedures. The method has the advantages of complex process, high loss, low efficiency and high cost.
