Abstract

The invention relates to a knife type electric connector, which comprises a female end mechanism and a male end mechanism which can be mutually inserted or separated; wherein, the female end mechanism comprises a brake tool holder, a plurality of terminal clamping pieces, a plurality of plugs and a sealing plate; the male end mechanism includes a connecting base, a plurality of blade terminals, a plurality of connecting terminals and a sealing member. By the composition of the components, the number of the connecting terminals is increased and more channels are selected and configured besides the requirement of sealing is met.

Technical Field
The present invention relates to electrical connectors, and more particularly to a blade-type electrical connector.
Background
Connectors are commonly used for connecting various electronic terminals, and a knife type connector is more commonly used in automotive electronics, such as taiwan patent publication No. M485522; however, although the conventional connector can achieve the purpose of connection, it cannot meet the current specification requirement.
The 6-pin configuration of the conventional 2P4S standard has failed to meet the requirements of transmission process due to the increase of data volume of electronic data or power transmission requirements. Therefore, the requirement of more pins connectors is expected in the industry, but the length of the multi-pin knife-blade structure is inevitably increased, which not only limits the application range but also causes the trouble of force application during connection, and the connection reliability of each pin during connection cannot be ensured.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above problems and deficiencies of the prior art, it is an object of the present invention to provide a blade-type electrical connector, which is structurally novel to overcome the deficiencies of the prior art.
To achieve the above object, the present invention provides a knife-type electrical connector, which includes a female end mechanism and a male end mechanism that can be plugged into or separated from each other, wherein:
the female end mechanism comprises:
a brake knife holder, which is provided with a holder body, a plurality of terminal grooves, at least one positioning groove and a plurality of plug post holes;
the seat body is provided with a containing chamber communicated with the outside, and the containing chamber is concavely formed on the end surface of the opposite end of the seat body, which is abutted against the male end mechanism;
each terminal groove penetrates through the seat body, is communicated with the accommodating chamber and is opened towards the end surface of the seat body and the end surface abutted with the male end mechanism;
the positioning groove is concavely formed on the end face of the seat body, which is abutted to the male end mechanism, is positioned between the terminal grooves and is opened towards the end face of the seat body and the end face which is abutted to the male end mechanism;
each plug hole penetrates through the seat body corresponding to each positioning groove and is communicated with the accommodating chamber;
a plurality of terminal clamping pieces which are respectively arranged in the terminal grooves;
a plurality of plugs, which are respectively inserted into the plug holes;
a sealing plate embedded in the chamber to seal the cross section of the open end of the chamber;
a male end mechanism comprising:
a connecting base having a plurality of first terminal holes and a plurality of second terminal holes;
each first terminal hole and each second terminal hole penetrate through the connecting seat and are used for penetrating and extending a plurality of knife switch terminals and a plurality of connecting terminals;
a sealing element with a plurality of grooves, a plurality of through holes and at least one second positioning convex part;

the second positioning convex part is formed on the end surface of the sealing element, which is abutted to the seat body, and is matched with the positioning groove.

Detailed Description
The embodiments of the invention and the electrical connector using the same will be further described with reference to the accompanying drawings, and for the convenience of understanding the embodiments of the invention, the same components will be referred to with the same reference numerals.
Referring to fig. 1 to 10, the electrical connector of the invention includes a female end mechanism 100 and a male end mechanism 300 that can be inserted into or separated from each other; the female end mechanism 100 includes a blade holder 10, a plurality of terminal clamping pieces 21, a plurality of plugs 22, a sealing plate 23, and a water stop 24. The male mechanism 300 includes a connecting base 31, a plurality of blade terminals 32, a plurality of connecting terminals 33, and a sealing member 34.
The gate tool holder 10, as shown in fig. 1 to 7, has a holder body 11, a plurality of terminal grooves 12, at least one positioning groove 13, a plurality of plug holes 14, a locking ring portion 15, a ring groove 16 and a plurality of locking holes 17.
The seat body 11 has a chamber 112, a plurality of pillows 116 and a plurality of caulking grooves 114, wherein the chamber 112 is formed in an end surface of the seat body 11. The slots 114 are symmetrically and respectively recessed on the wall surfaces of the chamber 112. The pillow blocks 116 are protruded from the bottom surface of the chamber 112.
The terminal grooves 12 penetrate the socket body 11 in the front-rear direction, are open (i.e., open ends) toward the socket body 11 and end surfaces (top end surfaces and vertical surfaces) abutting against the male end mechanism 300, communicate with the accommodating chamber 112, correspond to the pillow blocks 116 of the socket body 11, and are symmetrically recessed to form a plurality of slots 122 on the top end surface of each terminal groove 12 adjacent to the accommodating chamber 112.
The positioning groove 13 is formed in a recessed manner in the end surface of the seat body 11 abutting against the male end mechanism 300, is located between the two terminal grooves 12, and is open (i.e., open end) toward the seat body 11 and each end surface (top end surface and vertical surface) abutting against the male end mechanism 300. In practice, one positioning groove 13 may be disposed between two adjacent terminal grooves 12, or a plurality of positioning grooves 13 '(as shown in fig. 8, the positioning grooves 13') may be disposed.
The plug hole 14 penetrates the seat body 11 in front and rear directions corresponding to the positioning grooves 13 and is communicated with the accommodating chamber 112.
The locking ring portion 15 is formed around the outer circumference of the seat body 11 and is adjacent to the chamber 112 of the seat body 11.
The annular groove 16 is formed in the locking ring portion 15 and surrounds the outer periphery of the seat body 11.
The lock holes 17 symmetrically penetrate through the locking ring part 15.
The terminal clamping pieces 21, as shown in fig. 3 to 6 and 9, are respectively disposed in the terminal slots 12 and have a positioning portion 212 and a terminal contact 214; the positioning part 212 is formed at the top end of the terminal clamping piece 21 in a protruding way and matched with each clamping groove 122; the terminal contact 214 is formed protruding from the end surface of the terminal clip 21 adjacent to the positioning portion 212, disposed at the lower end of the end surface, and matched with the pillow block 116 of the seat body 11.
The plugs 22, as shown in fig. 5 to 6, are inserted into the plug holes 14, respectively.
As shown in fig. 5 to 6, the sealing plate 23 is inserted into the accommodating chamber 112 of the seat body 11 to seal the cross section of the open end of the accommodating chamber 112, and has a plurality of through holes 231, a plurality of glue dispensing grooves 232, a plurality of relief grooves 233 and a plurality of inserts 234. The through holes 231 are matched with the plug holes 14 and penetrate through the sealing plate 23 to provide the plugs 22 to penetrate. The dispensing groove 232 is formed in a recessed manner at the peripheral edge of each through hole 231 on the opposite end surface of the sealing plate 23 that abuts against the housing chamber 112 of the seat body 11. The aforementioned each relief groove 233 is formed on the bottom end face of the closing plate 23 for the terminal contact 214 of the terminal clip 21 to penetrate; the insert blocks 234 are formed at both side ends of the closing plate 23 to match the insert grooves 114 of the holder body 11.
Referring to fig. 1, 2, 4 to 5, the water stop 24 is sleeved on the outer periphery of the seat body 11 and abuts against the locking ring portion 15 and the annular groove 16, and has a sleeve hole 242, a plurality of annular ribs 244 and a plurality of penetrating holes 246; the sleeve hole 242 is formed to match the contour of the seat body 11 and to penetrate the water stop 24; annular ribs 244 are formed on both end faces of the water stop member 24 along the outer periphery of the sleeve hole 242. The water stop piece 24 can be more properly attached by the matching of the annular groove 16 and the annular rib 244, so that the contact area and the airtight (waterproof) benefit are increased; the aforementioned through holes 246 penetrate the water stop 24 corresponding to the lock holes 17 of the seat body 11. In practice, the water stop 24 is made of silica gel.
The connecting seat 31, as shown in fig. 1 to 6, has a plurality of first terminal holes 311, a plurality of second terminal holes 312, a plurality of glue coating slots 313, and a combination protrusion 314; the first terminal holes 311 and the second terminal holes 312 penetrate through the connecting base 31, and the blade terminals 32 and the connecting terminals 33 are provided to penetrate through; the glue coating groove 313 is formed on the other end surface of the abutting sealing member 34 of the connecting seat 31 corresponding to the peripheral recess of each second terminal hole 312; the combined protrusion 314 is formed on the end face of the tear-off seal 34 of the connecting socket 31. In practice, the connection terminal 33 may be a spring connector (POGO PIN) or a conductive contact (signal contact).
As shown in fig. 1 to 6 and 10, the sealing member 34 has a plurality of grooves 341, a plurality of through holes 342, a combination recess 343, at least one first positioning protrusion 344 and a plurality of second positioning protrusions 345, the grooves 341 and the through holes 342 respectively penetrate through the sealing member 34, so as to allow the knife terminals 32 and the connecting terminals 33 to penetrate through; the combination groove 343 is formed on the end surface of the sealing member 34 abutting against the connecting seat 31 and matches with the combination protrusion 314 of the connecting seat 31 to form a tight fit; the first positioning projection 344 is formed on the end surface of the seal 34 abutting against the socket body 11 and matches the terminal groove 12 of the socket body 11; the second positioning projection 345 is formed on the end surface of the seal 34 abutting against the seat body 11 and matches the positioning groove 13 of the seat body 11.
The following description will further describe embodiments of the electrical connector with reference to the accompanying drawings, wherein like elements are referred to by like reference numerals for the sake of understanding the embodiments of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 1 to 10, when the female end mechanism 100 and the male end mechanism 300 are to be sleeved, the blade terminal 32 of the male end mechanism 300 is aligned with each terminal slot 12 of the female end mechanism 100, and is inserted into each terminal slot 12 at an oblique angle, and then pulled downward, so as to make each connection terminal 33 abut against the plug 22 by pushing, thereby completing the electrical connection.
In addition, the first positioning protrusion 344 and the second positioning protrusion 345 of the sealing member 34 are matched with the positioning groove 13 and the terminal groove 12 of the socket body 11, so as to achieve the benefits of accurate positioning and tight fitting.
Referring to fig. 1 to 2, the glue dispensing groove 232 on the sealing plate 23 and the glue dispensing groove 313 on the connecting seat 31 are for providing glue to be applied and contained, so as to facilitate the flow of the glue during the process of adhering the plug 22 and the connecting terminal 33.
