Description

Method and apparatus for controlling incoming call forwarding at a communication terminal
Technical Field
The present invention relates generally to the field of communications technologies, and more particularly, to a method and apparatus for controlling incoming call forwarding at a communication terminal.
Background
Compared with a common Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Card for a communication terminal in the prior art, an e-SIM Card (Embedded-SIM Card) can directly embed a conventional SIM Card on a chip of the communication terminal instead of being added to the communication terminal as an independent removable component, and a user does not need to insert a physical SIM Card. That is, the e-SIM card is integrated in the communication terminal, and cannot be detached by the user. When the user uses the e-SIM card, the user is allowed to select the operator according to the needs of the user and is allowed to switch at any time, so that the user can select the operator package more flexibly, or the operator can be replaced at any time on the premise of not unlocking the communication terminal and purchasing a new communication terminal, more mobile equipment use cost is saved for common consumers and enterprise users, and more convenience and safety are brought.
GSMA has now promulgated the phase2 standard for e-SIM cards, where multiple telephone numbers of a carrier can be programmed into the e-SIM card Over The Air (OTA). However, a plurality of telephone numbers of the e-SIM card are different from one-card-multiple-number issued by the current operator, the one-card-multiple-number mode is that all the telephone numbers are in a standby state, and the e-SIM card only can ensure that one telephone number is in the standby state and other telephone numbers are in a power-off state. This results in that the user cannot receive incoming calls from other phone numbers in the off state, and the user misses an incoming call.

Detailed Description
Various example embodiments will now be described more fully with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which some example embodiments are shown.
Fig. 1 illustrates a flowchart of a method of controlling incoming call forwarding at a communication terminal according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. By way of example, the communication terminal may be a smartphone, a tablet computer, a smart wearable device, a personal digital assistant, or other electronic device capable of telephone communication. It should be understood that the communication terminal of the exemplary embodiment of the present invention is provided therein with an e-SIM card in which at least two phone numbers are programmed. That is, the above-described method of the exemplary embodiment of the present invention is directed to an incoming call forwarding method for burning a phone number written to an e-SIM card.
Referring to fig. 1, in step S10, a user selection operation for one of at least two phone numbers in an e-SIM card is received.
Preferably, a call forwarding setting interface including at least two phone numbers in the e-SIM card may be displayed on a screen of the electronic terminal, and a user selection operation of one of the at least two phone numbers on the call forwarding setting interface is received.
In step S20, in response to the received selection operation, the telephone number selected by the user is set to be in a standby state when the other telephone numbers except the telephone number selected by the user among the at least two telephone numbers are in a power-off state.
In step S30, an operation by the user for selecting at least one of the other telephone numbers is received. As an example, an operation of the user for selecting at least one of the other phone numbers may be received on the call forwarding setting interface described above.
In step S40, in response to the received user operation, a call forwarding entry is generated for each of the other phone numbers selected. Here, one other phone number corresponds to one call forwarding entry, and the call forwarding entry of any other phone number records call forwarding setting information on the phone number to which the call is forwarded by the any other phone number.
For example, for any other selected telephone number, a telephone number to which a call is transferred may be determined for the any other selected telephone number to generate a call transfer entry recording call transfer setting information about the telephone number to which the any other telephone number is call transferred.
For example, assuming that 5 phone numbers (e.g., phone number a, phone number B, phone number C, phone number D, and phone number E) are programmed in the E-SIM card, when phone number a is selected according to the selection operation of the user in step S10, phone number a is in a standby state, and phone number B, phone number C, phone number D, and phone number E are all in a power-off state. In this case, step S30 may receive an operation by the user to select at least one of phone number B, phone number C, phone number D, and phone number E (e.g., phone number B), and in step S40, an operation to determine a phone number to which a call is transferred for phone number B may be received to generate a call transfer entry recording call transfer setting information about the phone number to which phone number B is call-transferred in response to the operation.
That is, the other phone numbers selected by the user may include all or part of the other phone numbers. For example, for the above example in which 5 phone numbers are burned in the E-SIM card, it is preferable that call forwarding entries be generated for all phone numbers in the power-off state (e.g., phone number B, phone number C, phone number D, and phone number E), respectively. Alternatively, the call forwarding entry may be generated only for a part of the other telephone numbers, for example, the call forwarding entry may be generated only for one telephone number (such as telephone number B or telephone number C) to perform call forwarding setting for the one telephone number. Or respectively generating call forwarding entries aiming at m telephone numbers (m is more than or equal to 2 and less than n, and n is the number of the telephone numbers in the e-SIM card in the power-off state) so as to carry out call forwarding setting aiming at the m telephone numbers. That is to say, the user can only carry out call forwarding setting according to the telephone number which is interested by the user, and the personalized requirements of the user are met.
In a preferred example, the phone number to which the other phone number in the power-off state is call-transferred may be a phone number in a standby state selected by the user. For example, taking the above example as an example, a telephone number to which a telephone number B, a telephone number C, a telephone number D, and/or a telephone number E in a power-off state is call-transferred may be set as a telephone number a in a standby state. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and the phone number to which the other phone number in the power-off state is call-transferred may also be a phone number of the communication terminal other than the at least two phone numbers burned in the e-SIM card, or may also be a phone number of the other communication terminal.
As an example, a call forwarding entry for any other phone number may be represented as < key, value >, key being a phone number in a standby state (i.e., a phone number to which a call is forwarded), value being any other phone number in a power-off state.
In step S50, the selected call forwarding entry for each other phone number is provided to the operator to which each other phone number belongs, so that the operator forwards the phone call of each other phone number according to the received call forwarding entry. Preferably, the generated call forwarding entry may be provided to an operator to which each of the other phone numbers belongs through the phone number in a standby state. The present invention is not limited thereto and the call forwarding entries may be provided to the operator to which each of the other phone numbers belongs through the internet.
The steps of providing call forwarding entries for other telephone numbers to the operator are described below with reference to fig. 2.
Fig. 2 shows a flowchart of steps for providing a call forwarding entry to an operator for call forwarding setup according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 2, in step S501, it is determined whether a preset call forwarding entry exists in a local database of the communication terminal 100.
If the preset call forwarding entry exists in the local database, step S502 is executed: and reading the preset call forwarding entry from a local database. Here, the local database is stored in a memory other than the e-SIM card in the communication terminal 100. The reading of the preset call forwarding entries from the local database is faster and less time consuming than the reading of the preset call forwarding entries from the e-SIM card.
In step S503, a first call transfer drop request is generated, and the generated first call transfer drop request is sent to the operator 200. Here, the first call forwarding cancellation request refers to a call forwarding cancellation request for canceling call forwarding settings indicated by the preset call forwarding entry, and the operator 200 refers to an operator to which a telephone number to which the preset call forwarding entry is directed belongs. It should be understood that, when the preset call forwarding entry includes a plurality of call forwarding entries, a corresponding first call forwarding cancellation request may be generated for each call forwarding entry, and each first call forwarding cancellation request may be sent to an operator to which a telephone number to which the call forwarding entry corresponding to each first call forwarding cancellation request belongs.
In step S504, the operator 200 cancels the call forwarding setting indicated by the preset call forwarding entry. That is, the operator 200 cancels the call forwarding setting of the telephone number to which the preset call forwarding entry is directed. It should be appreciated that the above-described process of dropping call forwarding settings is to ensure call forwarding certainty and correctness.
In step S505, the operator 200 transmits first feedback information indicating that the call transfer setting revocation success indicated for the preset call transfer entry to the communication terminal 100.
In step S506, a first call forwarding request is generated based on the call forwarding entry generated in step S40. Here, the first call transfer request refers to a call transfer request for setting call transfer settings indicated by the call transfer entry. It should be understood that, for the case where the preset call forwarding entry includes a plurality of call forwarding entries, step S506 is performed when feedback information indicating that the call forwarding setting revocation is successful is received from each operator. Here, when the call forwarding entry generated in step S40 includes a plurality of call forwarding entries, a corresponding first call forwarding request may be generated for each call forwarding entry, respectively, to send each first call forwarding request to an operator to which a telephone number to which the call forwarding entry corresponding to each first call forwarding request belongs, respectively.
In step S507, the generated first call transfer request is transmitted to the operator 200. Here, the carrier refers to a carrier to which the telephone number to which the call forwarding entry generated in step S40 belongs. It should be understood that when the phone number for which the preset call forwarding entry is directed is consistent with the other phone numbers for which the generated call forwarding entry is directed, the operator receiving the first call forwarding request and the operator receiving the first call forwarding cancellation request are the same operator, and when the phone number for which the preset call forwarding entry is directed is not consistent with the other phone numbers for which the generated call forwarding entry is directed, the operator receiving the first call forwarding request and the operator receiving the first call forwarding cancellation request are different operators.
In step S508, the carrier 200 sets the call forwarding setting indicated by the call forwarding entry corresponding to the first call forwarding request, so that when receiving a telephone call to the other telephone number to which the call forwarding entry is directed, the carrier 200 forwards an incoming call calling the other telephone number to the telephone number to which the call is forwarded, so as to avoid that the user misses an incoming call of the other telephone number.
In step S509, the operator 200 transmits second feedback information indicating that the call transfer setting indicated for the call transfer entry is successful to the communication terminal 100.
In step S510, it is determined whether the call forwarding setting for all other telephone numbers is successful.
If the call forwarding setting for all other telephone numbers is successful, step S511 is performed: and deleting the preset call forwarding entry from the local database, and storing the call forwarding entry generated by each selected other telephone number in the local database of the communication terminal.
Here, for example, if feedback information indicating that call forwarding setting is successful is received from the operators to which the respective other telephone numbers belong, respectively, it is determined that call forwarding setting for all the other telephone numbers is successful.
Preferably, the method for controlling call forwarding at a communication terminal according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention proposes a fallback mechanism to ensure that incoming calls burned to at least two phone numbers in an e-SIM card of the communication terminal are not lost and to avoid confusion to a user when there is an unsuccessful call forwarding setup for at least one other phone number. The steps for performing the fallback mechanism when the call forwarding setup is unsuccessful are described below with reference to fig. 3.
Fig. 3 shows a flowchart of the steps of executing a fallback mechanism when the call forwarding setup is unsuccessful, according to an exemplary embodiment of the invention.
Referring to fig. 3, when there is at least one other phone number for which the call forwarding setting is not successful, step S60 is performed: a second call transfer drop request is generated. Here, the second call transfer drop request refers to a call transfer drop request for dropping the call transfer setting indicated by the call transfer entry for which the call transfer setting is successful. Here, when the call forwarding entry for which the call forwarding setting is successful includes a plurality of call forwarding entries, a corresponding second call forwarding cancellation request may be generated for each call forwarding entry, respectively, so as to send each second call forwarding cancellation request to an operator to which a telephone number to which the call forwarding entry corresponding to each second call forwarding cancellation request belongs, respectively.
For example, if feedback information indicating that the call forwarding setting is successful is not received from the operator to which the at least one other telephone number belongs, that is, feedback information indicating that the call forwarding setting is successful is not received from each of the operators to which the respective other telephone numbers belong, it is determined that the call forwarding setting of the at least one other telephone number is unsuccessful.
In step S70, a second call forwarding drop request is sent to the operator 200. Here, the carrier 200 refers to a carrier to which other telephone numbers to which a call forwarding entry for which call forwarding setting is successful belongs.
In step S80, the operator 200 cancels the call forwarding setting indicated by the call forwarding entry corresponding to the second call forwarding cancellation request.
In step S90, the operator 200 transmits third feedback information indicating that the call transfer setting revocation success is set for the call transfer indicated by the call transfer entry to the communication terminal 100.
In step S100, the phone number in the standby state is updated to the phone number to which the call is transferred, which is recorded in the preset call transfer entry stored in the local database. Here, the preset call forwarding entry may be read from the local database, and for a case where the call forwarding entry whose call forwarding setting is successful includes a plurality of call forwarding entries, step S100 is performed when feedback information indicating that the call forwarding setting revocation is successful is received from each operator.
In step S110, a second call forwarding request is sent to the operator 300. Here, the second call transfer request refers to a call transfer request for setting call transfer settings indicated by a preset call transfer entry. The operator 300 refers to an operator to which a phone number to which a preset call forwarding entry is directed belongs. It should be understood that the operator 300 is the same operator as the operator 200 when the preset call forwarding entry is directed to a phone number consistent with other phone numbers directed to call forwarding entries for which call forwarding setting is successful. The carrier 300 is different from the carrier 200 when the preset call forwarding entry is not corresponding to the other telephone numbers corresponding to the call forwarding entries whose call forwarding setting is successful. Here, when the preset call forwarding entry includes a plurality of call forwarding entries, a corresponding second call forwarding request may be generated for each call forwarding entry, so as to send each second call forwarding request to an operator to which a telephone number to which the call forwarding entry corresponding to each second call forwarding request belongs.
In step S120, the operator 300 performs call forwarding setting indicated by a preset call forwarding entry.
In step S130, the operator 300 transmits fourth feedback information indicating that the call transfer setting indicated for the preset call transfer entry is successful to the communication terminal 100.
Fig. 4 illustrates a block diagram of an apparatus for controlling incoming call forwarding at a communication terminal according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in fig. 4, an apparatus for controlling incoming call forwarding at a communication terminal according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a display 10, an input interface 20, a processor 30 and a communication interface 40. Here, the display 10 and the input interface 20 may be independent devices capable of implementing a display function and an input function, respectively, and the input interface 20 may be an input device such as a mouse, a keyboard, a touch screen, a wheel, etc. by way of example, in addition to this, the display 10 and the input interface 20 may be integrated into a touch screen to implement functions of display and input at the same time.
In particular, the processor 30 is configured to receive a user selection operation of one of at least two telephone numbers in the e-SIM card via the input interface 20. Preferably, the display 10 may display a call-forwarding setting interface containing at least two phone numbers in the e-SIM card under the control of the processor 30, and the processor 30 receives a user's selection operation of one phone number of the at least two phone numbers in the e-SIM card on the call-forwarding setting interface via the input interface 20.
The processor 30 is configured to set the user-selected phone number to be in a standby state when the other phone numbers except the user-selected phone number among the at least two phone numbers are in a power-off state in response to the received selection operation.
The processor 30 is configured to receive, via the input interface 20, a user operation for selecting at least one of the other telephone numbers. As an example, processor 30 may input interface 20 to receive a user operation on the call forwarding settings interface described above to select at least one of the other telephone numbers.
The processor 30 is configured to generate a call forwarding entry for each of the other selected telephone numbers in response to the received user action. Here, one other phone number corresponds to one call forwarding entry, and the call forwarding entry of any other phone number records call forwarding setting information on the phone number to which the call is forwarded by the any other phone number. Preferably, the other phone numbers determined based on the user's operation on the call forwarding setting interface may include all or part of the other phone numbers.
For example, the process of generating a call forwarding entry for each other phone number selected may include: for any other selected phone number, a phone number to which the call is transferred may be determined for the any other selected phone number to generate a call transfer entry recording call transfer setting information on the phone number to which the any other phone number is call transferred.
In a preferred example, the phone number to which the other phone number in the power-off state is call-transferred may be a phone number in a standby state selected by the user. The present invention is not limited thereto, and the phone number to which the other phone number in the power-off state is call-transferred may also be a phone number of the communication terminal other than the at least two phone numbers programmed in the e-SIM card, or may also be a phone number of the other communication terminal.
The processor 30 is configured to provide the selected call forwarding entry for each of the other telephone numbers to the operator to which each of the other telephone numbers belongs via the communication interface 40, respectively, so that the operator performs call forwarding for telephone calls of each of the other telephone numbers according to the received call forwarding entry.
Preferably, the processor 30 may be further configured to: determining whether a preset call forwarding entry exists in a local database of the communication terminal, in which case the process of providing the call forwarding entry of each of the other phone numbers to an operator to which each of the other phone numbers belongs via the communication interface may include: if the preset call forwarding entry exists in the local database, reading the preset call forwarding entry from the local database, and sending a call forwarding cancellation request for canceling the call forwarding setting indicated by the preset call forwarding entry to an operator to which a telephone number corresponding to the preset call forwarding entry belongs, so that the operator cancels the call forwarding setting indicated by the preset call forwarding entry. After determining that the call forwarding setting revocation indicated by the preset call forwarding entry is successful, the call forwarding entry of each other phone number is provided to the operator to which each other phone number belongs via the communication interface 40.
Preferably, the processor 30 may be further configured to: and when the call forwarding setting aiming at all other telephone numbers is determined to be successful, deleting the preset call forwarding entry from the local database, and storing the call forwarding entry generated aiming at each other telephone number into the local database of the communication terminal.
Preferably, the processor 30 may be further configured to: when the call forwarding setting of at least one other telephone number is unsuccessful, generating a call forwarding cancellation request for canceling the call forwarding setting indicated by the call forwarding entry with successful call forwarding setting, sending the generated call forwarding cancellation request to an operator to which the other telephone number to which the call forwarding entry with successful call forwarding setting belongs, so that the operator cancels the call forwarding setting indicated by the call forwarding entry corresponding to the call forwarding cancellation request, updating the telephone number in a standby state to the telephone number recorded in the preset call forwarding entry to which the call is forwarded, and sending the call forwarding request for setting the call forwarding setting indicated by the preset call forwarding entry to the operator to which the telephone number to which the preset call forwarding entry belongs via a communication interface, so that the operator can make the call forwarding setting indicated by the preset call forwarding entry.
It should be understood that, since the process of providing the selected call forwarding entry of each other phone number to the operator and the process of performing the fallback mechanism when the call forwarding setting is unsuccessful have been described in detail in fig. 2 and 3, respectively, the present invention is not described in detail in this part.
There is also provided, in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a computer-readable storage medium storing a computer program.
