The present disclosure is described by taking a mobile phone as an example, and the structural improvement involved therein is also applicable to other electronic devices.

As shown in fig. 1A, in the related art, the handset case a includes a body a1, and the body a1 includes a main body portion a11 having an inner surface a14 and a rim portion a12 having a fitting surface a 13. Fig. 2 is a partial structural schematic view of a mobile phone case according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in fig. 2, the handset case 10a may include a body 11, a decorative film layer 12, and a coating layer 13. The body 11 is made of a transparent material such as glass and may include a main body portion 111 and a rim portion 112, the rim portion 112 including a visible mating surface 113, the mating surface 113 being in communication with an inner surface 114 of the main body portion 111. The decorative film layer 12 covers the inner surface 114; the coating layer 13 covers the mating surface 113, and the coating layer 13 conforms to the appearance of the decorative film layer 12.
The decorative film layer 12 is covered on the inner surface 114 of the main body portion 111 of the transparent handset case 10a, and the coating layer 13 is covered on the mating surface 113 visible to the rim portion 112. The matching surface 113 is communicated with the inner surface 114, the color of the coating layer 13 is consistent with that of the decoration film layer 12, and the inside of the mobile phone shell 10a is completely covered, so that the 'bright edge' in the related technology is eliminated, and the appearance effect of the mobile phone shell 10a and the mobile phone with the mobile phone shell 10a is improved.
In the present embodiment, the mating surface 113 is a side surface of the body 11 at the edge 112, and the mating surface 113 is substantially parallel to the main body 111 and the edge 112, in which case the mating surface 113 may also be referred to as a "cross section" of the body 11 at the edge 112. In the embodiment shown in fig. 2 and 3, the decorative film layer 12 may be adhered to the inner surface 114, or may be covered on the inner surface 114 in other manners, which are not limited by the disclosure. In addition, the coating layer 13 is sprayed, printed or otherwise coated on the mating surface 113 with a coating material, which is not limited by the present disclosure.
In order to manufacture the device housing 10, which is exemplified by the mobile phone housing 10a, the present disclosure proposes a processing method, and the specific processing flow is described as follows.
Fig. 4 is a flow chart of an apparatus housing machining method according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. The method shown in fig. 4 includes:
in step 401, the decorative film layer 12 is adhered to the inner surface 114;
in step 402, a coating material is applied to the mating surface 113 to form the coating layer 13.
In this embodiment, the above-described coating process may be achieved in various ways; the present disclosure further provides a jig 20 shown in fig. 5, wherein the coating process can be completed through the jig 20. The jig 20 shown in fig. 5 may include a base 21 and a cover 22, and the relative positions of the base 21 and the cover 22 are fixed. Further, the base 21 is recessed inward to form an accommodating space 211 between the base 21 and the cover 22, the device housing 10 is accommodated in the accommodating space 211 and covered by the cover 22, and the cover 22 is provided with an opening 221 adapted to the mating surface 113 so as to facilitate the coating operation of fig. 4 to be performed accurately and conveniently.
The using process of the jig 20 may include: firstly, the device housing 10 is placed in the accommodating space 211; then, the cover plate 22 is used to shield the portion of the device housing 10 to which the decoration film layer 12 is attached, and the opening 221 of the cover plate 22 is aligned with the mating surface 113, so that the coating operation in step 402 can be performed accurately and conveniently, and the coating material is prevented from covering the decoration film layer 12, thereby preventing the appearance of the device housing 10 from being affected. Finally, a coating material is applied to the mating surface 113 through the opening 221, which may include: spray coating or printing, etc., and the disclosure is not limited thereto. The coating material used in the coating process may be ink or other material that is consistent with the appearance color of the decoration film layer 12, which is not limited by the present disclosure.
The present disclosure also includes an electronic device assembled with the device housing 10 described above. The electronic device may include a mobile phone, a tablet, and the like, which is not limited by the present disclosure.
