Technical Field
The present invention relates to an input device and an input method thereof, and more particularly, to an input device and an input method thereof capable of performing text insertion input.
Background
In recent years, electronic devices such as smart phones and tablet computers have basically used touch screens to input characters, graphics and the like. The movement of the cursor, the selection of information and the like are realized by performing touch operation on the touch screen through a finger, a stylus and the like.
As shown in fig. 1, the display screen of the electronic device is divided into a text information display area on the left side and a character input area on the right side. As shown in the figure, when the user wants to insert an input character into the text information, the user moves the cursor to a position where the user wants to insert the input character, and then performs an operation of inputting the character into the character input area. For example, when inserting a character "word" at a position 11 in text information in a drawing, a cursor is moved to the position 11, a pinyin "hua" is input in a character input area through a Soft Keyboard (Soft Keyboard), and a desired character "word" is selected from among character candidates corresponding to the pinyin displayed in a character selection field.
Here, the cursor may be moved to a position where the insertion input is desired by touching the touch screen of the electronic apparatus with a finger or a stylus pen, or the cursor may be moved to a position where the insertion input is desired in the text information by using cursor movement keys "←", "=", "→", "↓", and "↓" of the soft/hard keyboard of the electronic apparatus.
However, as shown in fig. 1, when a user touches text information with a finger due to the vibration of a traveling vehicle or the user does not intend to touch a cursor moving key on a keyboard after moving a cursor to a position 11, if the user moves the cursor from the position 11 to a position 12 as shown in the figure and inputs characters desired to be input, that is, an erroneous input occurs.
Further, if the user finds the above-mentioned erroneous input, it is necessary to delete the character input to the position 12 and to newly insert the character desired to be input at the position 11, and such a modification operation also causes a lot of trouble to the user.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide an input device and an input method thereof, which can input a desired character at a position where a user wants to perform character insertion input even if the user makes an erroneous operation.

In the input device, the control unit may combine the characters preceding the plurality of positions in the text information with the input characters or input character candidates, respectively, and display the combined characters as the selected character candidates on the display unit.
In the input device, when the characters preceding the plurality of positions are the same, the control unit may display a character string from the character preceding the plurality of positions to a different character further preceding the plurality of positions as the selected character candidate on the display unit, in combination with the input character or the input character candidate.
In the input device, the control unit may mark different characters at the plurality of positions in the text information and display the different characters on the display unit, and the different characters may be combined with the input characters or the input character candidates and displayed on the display unit as the selected character candidates.
In the input device, the detection unit may detect a position of a cursor or a position of a slide operation trajectory passing through the text information in the text information as the input position.
In addition, in order to solve the above technical problems in the prior art, the present invention further provides an input method, including: an input step of inputting a character at an input position in the displayed text information by a finger, a pen or a key operation; a detection step of detecting a position of the text information touched by the finger or the pen or a position of a cursor moved by a key operation when the character is input in the input step; and a control step of, when the determination step determines that there are a plurality of positions, allowing character input using the plurality of positions as candidates of the input position.
According to the present invention, even if the user performs an erroneous operation of touching a plurality of positions in the text information, the position where the user wants to perform the insertion input can be selected from the plurality of positions, and the character desired to be input can be input at the input position without performing an operation such as correction.

Detailed Description
Hereinafter, an input device according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
Fig. 2 is a block diagram of the input device structure according to the embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the drawing, the input device of the present embodiment includes: a display unit 1, an input unit 2, a detection unit 3, a determination unit 4, and a control unit 5. This is the same as the configuration of embodiment 1 and embodiment 2 to be described later.
The display unit 1 may have both an operation unit (not shown) and a display screen and a touch screen. The Display screen may be formed of a Display device such as an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), an Organic EL (Organic Electro-luminscence Panel), or a plasma Panel.
The touch screen of the display unit 1 may be any one of a capacitive type, a resistive type, an infrared type, a load detection type, and the like. By touching an operation option on the display panel with a finger, a stylus pen, or the like, the option can be manipulated.
The input unit 2 receives a touch of a user's finger, a stylus pen, or the like, and inputs information or commands by pressing character keys such as letters, numerals, and chinese characters, and various function keys necessary for operating the electronic apparatus. The input section 2 stores a plurality of language data and can convert the input letters such as pinyin into corresponding chinese characters.
Here, the input unit 2 may select a character to be input from the character candidates.
The detection unit 3 detects a cursor position or a slide trajectory as a touch position in the text information when the input character is inserted. The detection method may be a voltage type, a capacitance (Electrostatic capacitance) type, an elastic ultrasonic type, an optical type, or an electromagnetic guiding type. The touched position is detected by 2-dimensional coordinates of the touched position.
The determination unit 4 is formed of an application specific integrated circuit or a CPU function block. It is determined whether or not there are a plurality of positions detected by the detection unit 3.
Here, a predetermined time period before character input is performed may be set, and the touch position detected in the time period may be determined as a determination target. That is, the determination unit 4 determines whether or not there are a plurality of touch positions to be determined. It is also possible to set a predetermined time interval of the detection time of the touch positions detected at the time adjacent to the time before the character input is performed, and determine the touch positions detected in the time interval as the determination target, that is, the determination unit 4 determines whether or not there are a plurality of touch positions as the determination target.
The time period and the time interval may be set by the user or may be set by default.
The control unit 5 is a general computer, and includes therein, for example, a CPU, a ROM, an EEPROM, a RAM, an I/O, and a bus (not shown) connecting these components. When the determination unit 4 determines that there are a plurality of touch positions, the control unit 5 can input characters by using the plurality of touch positions as input position candidates.
Next, the operation of the input device according to embodiment 1 of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to fig. 3 to 7.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart showing a processing method of the input device according to embodiment 1, taking the car-mounted navigation device as an example, and fig. 4 to 7 are schematic views of display screens of the car-mounted navigation device according to embodiment 1.
In embodiment 1, as shown in fig. 4, the text information that has been input is displayed in the left text information display area, and if the user wants to insert a character into the text information and additionally input the character, the user first moves the cursor to the position where the user wants to insert the character into the text information, and then inputs the character that the user wants to input into the right character input area. This is step S101 in fig. 3.
In step S102, it is determined whether or not there are a plurality of touch positions in the text information within a predetermined time before the character input is performed. In embodiment 1, the detection unit 3 detects the position of the cursor in the text information as the touch position. As shown in fig. 4, since the cursor stays at both the position 11 and the position 12 for a predetermined time or longer in the text information, the position 11 and the position 12 are detected as touch positions.
In addition, the determination unit 4 determines whether or not there are a plurality of touch positions detected by the detection unit 3 within 3 seconds before character input is performed in the character input area. In embodiment 1, it is determined whether or not the detection time of the position 11 and the position 12 is within 3 seconds before the character input is performed. If the detection times of the position 11 and the position 12 are both within 3 seconds, that is, if the determination unit 4 determines that there are a plurality of touch positions (yes in step S102), the process proceeds to step S103, otherwise (no in step S102), that is, if only one of the detection times of the position 11 and the position 12 is within 3 seconds before the character input is performed or not within 3 seconds, the process proceeds to step S105, and a character desired to be input is input to a touch position after the detection time.
In step S103, the characters in front of the plurality of touch positions and the input character candidates are combined and displayed on the display unit 1 as the selected character candidates. As shown in fig. 4, in the character input area, the kanji candidate combinations corresponding to the input pinyin "hua" are displayed as selected character candidates in the character input area by the character "on" at the position 11 and the character "old" at the position 12, respectively. In step S104, the user selects a candidate desired to be input from the selected character candidates and inputs the selected candidate.
In step S103, if the preceding characters at positions 11 and 12 can be a word or idiom in combination with the input pinyin "hua" corresponding to a kanji candidate as shown in fig. 5, the candidate can be preferentially displayed in the selected character candidate list. For example, as shown, the "call" is a word that is displayed before other selection text candidates.
As shown in fig. 6, when the user selects "speech" as the chinese character corresponding to the input pinyin "hua", the "on" character at the position 11 and the "old" character at the position 12 are combined with the selected chinese character "speech", respectively, and the combined character strings "speech" and "old" are displayed on the display unit 1 as the selected character candidates.
In step S103, when the characters in front of the positions 13 and 14 as the touch positions are the same (both are "human" characters), character strings from the characters in front of the positions 13 and 14 to the different characters in front are combined with the input characters and displayed on the display unit 1 as the selected character candidates, as shown in fig. 7. As shown in the drawing, since the character string "contact" preceding the position 13 is the same as the character string "contact" preceding the position 14 and the characters "1" and "2" are different from each other, the character strings "1 contact" and "2 contact" are combined with the input character "small" and displayed on the display unit 1 as the selected character candidates.
Next, an input device according to embodiment 2 of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to fig. 8 and 9. Fig. 8 is a flowchart of a processing method of the input device according to embodiment 2, and fig. 9 is a schematic diagram of a display screen of the input device according to embodiment 2.
Step S201 in fig. 8 is the same as step S101 in fig. 3, and the description thereof will not be repeated here. In step S202, it is determined whether there are a plurality of touch positions in the text information within a predetermined time interval before pinyin input is performed. In embodiment 2, as shown in fig. 9, the detection unit 3 detects the position of the cursor in the text information as the touched position. Since the cursor stays at both the position 11 and the position 12 for a predetermined time or longer, the position 11 and the position 12 are detected as touch positions. Then, the determination unit 4 determines whether or not the time interval of the detection time is within 2 seconds of the predetermined time interval, based on the detection time of the position 11 and the detection time of the position 12. If the time interval between the detection times of the position 11 and the position 12 is within 2 seconds, that is, if the determination unit 4 determines that there are a plurality of touch positions (yes in step S202), the process proceeds to step S203, otherwise (no in step S202), that is, if the time interval between the detection times of the position 11 and the position 12 exceeds 2 seconds, the process proceeds to step S205, and a character desired to be input is input to a touch position after the detection time.
In step S203, different numbers are marked at the plurality of touch positions, respectively, and the different numbers are combined with the inputted characters, respectively, and displayed on the display unit 1 as selected character candidates. In step S204, the user selects a candidate desired to be input from the selected character candidates and inputs the selected candidate.
As shown in fig. 9, in the text information display area on the left side, the number (1) and the number (2) are marked at the position 11 and the position 12, respectively, which are touch positions. In the right character input area, the number (1) and the number (2) are combined with the inputted character "word" and displayed on the display unit 1 as a selected character candidate.
In the present embodiment, not only different numeric numbers but also different characters such as letters or symbols may be marked at the touch positions.
In embodiments 1 and 2, the detection unit 3 may detect all the touch positions in the text information, or may detect the touch positions within a predetermined time period or time interval of the determination unit 4.
In the present invention, in order to distinguish/emphasize a touch position, a cursor may be blinked at each of a plurality of touch positions, or characters around the touch position may be displayed in different colors.
The detection unit 3 may detect not only the cursor position but also the slide operation trajectory as the slide touch position. As shown in fig. 10, the characters in front of the positions 11 and 12 are combined with the input characters and displayed on the display unit 1 as selected character candidates, and the character "system" that the slide trajectory of the slide touch operation passes through in the text information is also combined with the input character "word" and displayed on the display unit 1 as selected character candidates.
Here, as shown in fig. 10, not only the "system word" may be displayed as the selected character candidate by combining the character "system" that the slide locus 15 passes through with the input character "system", but also the "system word" may be displayed as the selected character candidate by combining the input character "system" with the character "system" that the slide locus 15 passes through.
In the above embodiment, when there are a plurality of touch positions, the user may be presented with a voice, or different selected character candidates may be displayed in different colors.
In the above embodiment, the detection unit 3 can detect a touch position by touching text information with a finger or a stylus pen in a touch input device, or can detect a cursor movement position by operating a software keyboard. Similarly, in the non-touch input device, the cursor can be moved by a key operation on a Hard Keyboard (mechanical Keyboard), and a position where the cursor stays for a predetermined time or longer is detected as a cursor position.
In the above embodiment, the description has been made using pinyin input, but the present invention is also applicable to handwriting input, or input in other languages such as japanese alphabet input and kana input.
The input device of the present invention is not limited to the in-vehicle navigation device according to the embodiment, and is also applicable to all electronic devices that perform character input, such as mobile phones and tablet computers.
