Priority requirement
This application claims priority to U.S. utility application No. 14/837,063 filed on day 27 of 8/2015, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference in their entirety.
Technical Field
The present invention and embodiments thereof relate to shower caps having improved performance. And more particularly to a shower cap that provides a more relaxed shower experience by reducing the volume perceived by a user of the shower cap.
Background
Conventional head coverings and devices are known in the art and are dating back many years. In particular, a shower cap (also referred to as a shower cap) is a cap that is worn while showering or bathing to avoid wetting hair. Or a shower cap for children may be similar to a crown having a wide edge, washing hair while preventing water and shampoo from entering the eyes of a user.
Many such caps may be formed by fusing two layers of fabric that are impermeable to water and decorated. This allows the shower cap to prevent water from spreading while at the same time being aesthetically pleasing. While such a double fabric design works well, a simpler design of shower cap is made of a single layer of waterproof material. Regardless of how many layers the cap has, these designs always include some sort of elastic edge that holds the cap in place.
Shower bathing has become nearly as popular in society as daily bathing has become common. It has been reported that it is unclear whether daily shampooing is beneficial, although the authorities consider daily bathing to be advocated. This uncertainty has prompted the formation of a "fire extinguisher cap," a sharp-pointed tarpaulin worn by bathers in the era of regenesis-era. These caps are designed to protect the hair of the bather while providing a shield to prevent water from dripping continuously from above onto the bather's head.
By the 80's of the 19 th century, the "extinguisher caps" began to disappear and modern shower caps began to enter mainstream society. The traditional shower cap configuration has remained unchanged since the 50 s of the 20 th century. The present invention applies undergarments and performance improvements to spaces that have not traditionally been subject to technical innovation over the past 50 years.

Detailed Description
Preferred embodiments of the present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Like elements are identified with like reference numerals throughout the several views.
Reference will now be made in detail to various embodiments of the invention. These examples are provided as illustrations of the invention and are not intended to be limiting thereof. Indeed, various modifications and alterations will become apparent to those skilled in the art upon a reading of the specification and a review of the associated drawings.
While the disclosure has been described with reference to exemplary embodiments, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes may be made and equivalents may be substituted for elements thereof without departing from the scope of the invention. In addition, many modifications may be made to adapt a particular instrument, situation or material to the teachings of the disclosure without departing from the spirit thereof. Therefore, it is not intended that the disclosure be limited to the particular embodiments disclosed.
Referring to fig. 1, an embodiment of the present invention is shown. Here, the shower cap 100 is shaped like a headband, which provides complete coverage of the hair growth area of the user's scalp. In addition to the unique shape of the shower cap 100, the shower cap 100 has a back pocket. That is, the shower cap 100 is loaded with an additional amount of fabric, breaking the standard profile of the shower cap 100. Such additional fabric allows a user with a large amount of hair or a unique hairstyle to still benefit themselves from the present invention.
In a preferred embodiment, the shower cap 100 is composed of a water repellent treated material. In another preferred embodiment, the material is a fabric. Although there are many suitable fabrics, the ideal fabric should be an antibacterial and waterproof fabric. Although antimicrobial coated fabrics are suitable, naturally antimicrobial fabrics, such as those containing aluminum or tin, are preferred because their antimicrobial properties do not fade over time. Natural and synthetic latexes are particularly suitable materials for this purpose. This renders the material hydrophobic and has a nanotechnological composition.
In another preferred embodiment, the invention is a two-layer variation, wherein the inner layer is comprised of polyurethane and the outer layer is comprised of a material coated with a durable water repellant finish. The resulting fabric appears to the consumer to be one-ply. There are many proprietary, suitable durable, water repellent agents sold by suppliers such as Grangers, Nikwas, McNett, Trek 7. Alternatively, a single fabric variation may be used in which a durable water repellent coating is provided directly on the knitted or woven face of the fabric. Preferably, the fabric may be breathable so that a user wearing the covering device does not become too hot or form a moist environment and thus acts to prevent hair curling. In an alternative embodiment, the shower cap 100 is machine washable. In yet another embodiment, the shower cap 100 is disposable.
The shower cap 100 has an auditory inhibitory effect. Standard plastic shower caps, when used, provide an average volume of 84 decibels (dB) and up to 90 dB. In contrast, the shower cap 100 creates an average 82 decibel (dB) volume, and only up to 85 dB. The plastic shower caps form a crackling sound, whereas the present invention forms a more soothing type of noise, which results in a more relaxing experience for those wearing the covering device.
Fig. 2-8 illustrate the same embodiment of the invention as fig. 1, and therefore contain the same features disclosed herein.
Referring to fig. 9, a front view of an embodiment of the present invention is shown. Here, the shower cap 100 has an outer layer 101, a pleated band 102 and an elongated band 103. In one embodiment, the shirring band 102 and the elongate band 103 are of unitary construction. Preferably, the shirring band 102 and the elongated band 103 are constructed of an elastic material. This allows the shower cap 100 to be snugly attached to the head of a user. This prevents accidental slipping, which is important because if the user's hair is subjected to water while using the cap, the object of using the present invention will be greatly affected. Further, the outer layer 101 may have decorations disposed thereon. That is, various patterns or images may be printed on the outer layer 101. In some embodiments, such a decoration is provided before the durable water repellant treatment is applied, while in other embodiments, the decoration is provided after the durable water repellant is applied. Preferably, the outer layer 101 is composed of a stretchable material to provide greater comfort to the user while using the shower cap 100. In another embodiment, the material need not be stretchable.
In fig. 10, another view of an embodiment of a shower cap 100 is provided. Here, the shower cap 100 has a grip 104, a crimp band 102 and an inner layer 105. It should be noted that the inclusion of the gripping portion 104 is entirely optional, although preferred. Preferably, the clamping portion 104 is constructed of rubber. In another embodiment, the grip portion may be made of any material, such as fabric or neoprene, so that the grip portion can provide a watertight effect while providing a mechanism for non-slip. Inner layer 105 may be constructed of any fabric, but what is desired is some stretchable fabric, particularly if a two layer variation is employed. The inner layer 105 may also be provided with a decoration such as a pattern or illustration.
In some embodiments, the shirred tape 102 is thicker so that a more snug grip can be obtained. In one embodiment, the inner layer 105 is provided with a dry shampoo or scent. This will enable the user's hair to be freshened while using the shower cap 100.
Figures 11 and 12 show two embodiments of two-layer modified accessories. Figure 11 shows an embodiment in which two layers are adhered together. Figure 12 shows an embodiment in which two layers are folded onto each other and subsequently joined.
In fig. 13, the water repellent treatment property of the shower cap 100 is shown.
In another embodiment, the present invention is equipped with a drawstring so that it doubles as a cosmetic bag for travel.
When introducing elements of the present disclosure or the embodiments thereof, the articles "a," "an," and "the" are intended to mean that there are one or more of the elements. Similarly, when used to introduce an element, the adjective "another" is intended to mean one or more of the element. The terms "comprising" and "having" are intended to be inclusive such that there may be additional elements other than the listed elements.
Therefore, it is not intended that the disclosure be limited to the particular embodiments disclosed.
