Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention clearer, the present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, and it is apparent that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present invention, not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for adjusting brightness of a display panel, as shown in fig. 1, including:
s101, according to a set gamma curve, determining a target brightness value and a corresponding target gray scale value in a selected gamma value range;
s102, driving a display panel by adopting a target gray scale value, and acquiring an actual brightness value of each pixel in the display panel;
s103, determining whether the actual brightness value meets the set brightness uniformity requirement; executing step S104 when the actual brightness value is determined not to reach the set brightness uniformity requirement;
s104, compensating the target gray scale value according to the difference value between the target gray scale value corresponding to the target brightness value and the actual gray scale value corresponding to the actual brightness value to obtain a compensation brightness value;
s105, determining whether the compensation brightness value reaches a set range of a target brightness value; when the compensation brightness value is determined not to reach the set range of the target brightness value, executing step S106;
s106, driving the display panel by adopting the compensation gray scale value corresponding to the compensation brightness value to obtain the latest actual brightness value; thereafter, steps S104 to S105 are repeatedly performed until step S105 determines that the latest compensation luminance value reaches the set range with the target luminance value.
Specifically, in the method for adjusting brightness of a display panel according to an embodiment of the present invention, when it is determined that an actual brightness value of the display panel does not satisfy a brightness uniformity requirement, the target gray-scale value is compensated according to a difference between a target gray-scale value corresponding to the target brightness value and an actual gray-scale value corresponding to the actual brightness value to obtain a compensated brightness value, and then the target brightness value is compensated again according to the above steps until a latest compensated brightness value reaches a set range between the target brightness value and the target brightness value when it is determined that the compensated brightness value does not reach the set range between the target brightness value and the target brightness value. Through the brightness compensation process, the uniformity of the display panel can be adjusted quickly and accurately.
Specifically, in the brightness adjusting method provided by the embodiment of the present invention, in the step S101, the target brightness of each gray-scale pixel under the gray scales of 0-255 may be specifically set according to a Gamma (Gamma) curve set by the panel display. Then, a target brightness value and a corresponding target gray scale value are generally selected within a gamma value range of 2.0-2.4. The target brightness value and the corresponding target gray-scale value may be determined according to the following formula:
Figure BDA0001750330200000061
wherein, GraygoalRepresents a target gray level value, LgoalRepresenting a target brightness value, L255The maximum brightness value is a predetermined fixed value, and Г is a set value.
Specifically, in the brightness adjustment method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, in step S102, an actual brightness value of each pixel in the display panel may be obtained by using a brightness meter. When the display panel is driven by adopting the target gray-scale value and is an organic electroluminescent display panel, the display brightness of the display panel can be adjusted by adopting a mode of controlling the current; when the display panel is a liquid crystal display panel, the display brightness of the display panel can be adjusted by specifically controlling the voltage.
Specifically, in the brightness adjusting method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, in the step S103, it is determined whether the actual brightness value meets the set brightness uniformity requirement, if not, it indicates that the display brightness of the display panel needs to be adjusted, that is, the following steps S104 to S106 are performed; if so, the display brightness of the display panel does not need to be adjusted. Based on this, optionally, in the brightness adjusting method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, when determining whether the actual brightness value meets the set brightness uniformity requirement in step S103, the method may further include: when the actual brightness value is determined to meet the set brightness uniformity requirement, executing step S107;
and S107, displaying by adopting the actual gray scale value corresponding to the actual brightness value.
Optionally, in the brightness adjustment method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, there are various ways for determining whether the actual brightness value meets the set brightness uniformity requirement in the step S103, for example, the uniformity may be determined by regions to increase the operation speed, and based on this, the step S103 may specifically include:
firstly, dividing a display panel into a plurality of areas; specifically, the display panel may be equally divided into M × N regions, for example, may be divided into 4 × 4 regions; the more the area division is, the more accurate the uniformity judgment is, and the larger the calculated amount is;
then, whether the maximum brightness value and the minimum brightness value in the actual brightness values of the pixels in each area satisfy the following formula is determined:
|Lmax-Lmin|≤Lmaxa%, wherein LmaxRepresents the maximum brightness value, LminRepresenting the minimum brightness value, A is a set specification; a can generally be selected to be a value around 95;
if yes, determining that the actual brightness value in the area meets the set brightness uniformity requirement;
if not, the actual brightness value in the area is determined not to reach the set brightness uniformity requirement.
Specifically, by determining the maximum brightness value and the minimum brightness value in each region, determining whether the difference between the maximum brightness value and the minimum brightness value meets the set range, it can be determined whether the brightness uniformity of each region meets the requirement, if a certain region meets the requirement, the subsequent step is not required to be performed on the region, so as to reduce the amount of calculation, and if a certain region does not meet the requirement, the step of performing subsequent brightness adjustment on the region is only required. Generally, the area of the display panel with uneven brightness only occupies a small part, so that the requirement of the overall brightness uniformity can be met only by adjusting the brightness of the pixels in the small part of the area, the calculation amount is small, and the requirement of rapidly and accurately improving the uniformity of the display panel can be met.
Or, optionally, in the brightness adjustment method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, the step S103 of determining whether the actual brightness value meets the set brightness uniformity requirement may also perform a one-by-one uniformity judgment on the brightness of each pixel to improve the judgment accuracy, based on which the step S103 may specifically include:
determining whether the actual brightness value and the target brightness value of each pixel satisfy the following formula:
|Li-Lgoal|≤Lgoala%, wherein LiRepresenting the actual brightness value, LgoalRepresenting a target brightness value, A is a set specification; a can generally be selected to be a value around 95;
if yes, determining that the actual brightness value of the pixel meets the set brightness uniformity requirement;
if not, the actual brightness value of the pixel is determined not to reach the set brightness uniformity requirement.
Specifically, by determining the actual brightness value and the set target brightness value of each pixel, and determining whether the difference between the actual brightness value and the set target brightness value meets the set range, it can be determined whether the brightness uniformity of each pixel meets the requirement, if a certain pixel meets the requirement, the subsequent step is not needed for the pixel, so as to reduce the amount of calculation, and if a certain pixel does not meet the requirement, the subsequent step of brightness adjustment is only needed for the pixel. Generally, pixels with uneven brightness of the display panel only occupy a small part, so that the requirement of the uniformity of the overall brightness can be met only by adjusting the brightness of the small part of pixels, the calculated amount is small, and the requirement of rapidly and accurately improving the uniformity of the display panel can be met.
Optionally, in the brightness adjustment method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, when it is determined that the actual brightness value does not meet the requirement of brightness uniformity, the step S104 compensates the target gray-scale value according to a difference between the target gray-scale value corresponding to the target brightness value and the actual gray-scale value corresponding to the actual brightness value to obtain a compensated brightness value, as shown in fig. 2, the method may specifically include:
s1041, determining an actual gray scale value corresponding to the actual brightness value according to a set gamma curve;
s1042, determining a difference value between the actual gray-scale value and the target gray-scale value;
and S1043, compensating the target gray-scale value according to the determined difference value to obtain a compensation brightness value.
Specifically, since the actual gamma curve is unknown, when the actual gray scale value is calculated in step S1041, the actual gray scale value can be calculated only according to the set gamma curve, and specifically, the actual gray scale value corresponding to the actual brightness value can be determined according to the following formula:
Figure BDA0001750330200000081
wherein, GrayiRepresenting the actual gray level, LiRepresenting the actual brightness value, L255The maximum brightness value is a predetermined fixed value, and Г is a set value.
Optionally, in the brightness adjustment method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, the step S1042 determines a difference between the actual gray-scale value and the target gray-scale value, and the difference between the actual gray-scale value and the target gray-scale value may be determined by specifically using the following formula:
Figure BDA0001750330200000082
wherein L isiRepresenting the actual brightness value, LgoalRepresenting a target brightness value, L255Representing the maximum brightness value, Δ GrayiAnd the difference value between the actual gray scale value and the target gray scale value is represented, the difference value is a positive value when the actual gray scale value is greater than the target gray scale value, and the difference value is a negative value when the actual gray scale value is less than the target gray scale value.
Optionally, in the brightness adjustment method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, in the step S1043, the compensation brightness value is obtained according to the determined difference compensation target gray scale value, and the compensation brightness value may be determined specifically by using the following formula:
Figure BDA0001750330200000083
wherein L isi+1Represents a compensated luminance value, L255Representing the maximum brightness value, GraygoalRepresenting a target brightness value, Δ GrayiRepresenting the difference between the actual gray scale value and the target gray scale value.
Optionally, in the brightness adjustment method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, in the step S105, it is determined whether the compensation brightness value reaches a set range of the target brightness value, and specifically, it may be determined whether the compensation brightness value and the target brightness value satisfy the following formula:
|Li+1-Lgoal|≤Lgoala%, where Li +1 represents a compensation brightness value, LgoalThe target brightness value is shown, A is a set specification, and A can be a value generally about 95;
if yes, determining that the compensation brightness value reaches a set range of the target brightness value;
if not, determining that the compensation brightness value does not reach the set range of the target brightness value.
Specifically, in the brightness adjustment method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, by comparing whether the compensated brightness value and the target brightness value satisfy 95% of the specification, if yes, it is indicated that the compensated brightness value can meet the requirement of brightness uniformity; if not, compensating according to the previous steps until the preset target is met.
Based on this, in the brightness adjustment method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, when determining whether the compensation brightness value reaches the set range of the target brightness value in step S105, the method may further include: when determining that the latest compensation brightness value reaches the set range of the target brightness value, executing step S108;
and S108, displaying by adopting the compensation gray scale value corresponding to the latest compensation brightness value.
Specifically, to better explain the brightness adjustment method provided by the embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 3, the brightness of the pixel before and after compensation is shown. According to the set Gamma curve, the method comprises the following steps of,target luminance value L of pixelgoalIs point A, and the corresponding Gray scale value is GraygoalBut displays the actual brightness value L obtained by actual measurement according to the target gray-scale valueiJudging that the point B does not meet the requirement of brightness uniformity for the point B, belongs to a Mura area, has an unknown actual Gamma curve, and calculates according to a preset Gamma curve, namely calculating the Gray level value corresponding to the point C in the preset Gamma curve as the calculated actual Gray level value GrayiThen the Gray level difference between the C point and the A point is △ GrayiCompensating for point B, i.e. in GraygoalOn the basis of (1), △ Gray is addediDetermining the compensation brightness value output according to the actual Gamma curve as Li+1If | Li+1-Lgoal|≤Lgoal95%, the compensation is ended, if not, the compensation is continued according to the above method until the formula is satisfied.
