Abstract
The invention discloses a starter with a protection function, which comprises a box cover and a shell, wherein an internal cavity is formed after the box cover and the shell are relatively tightly combined, a PTC chip and a plurality of external terminals are arranged in the cavity, a spring terminal and a second horn mouth terminal in the shell are respectively arranged at two sides of the PTC chip and are electrically connected with the PTC chip, the other end of the spring terminal is connected with one end of a thermal fuse link, the other end of the thermal fuse link is connected with a first horn mouth terminal and an N terminal, the thermal fuse link and the PTC chip form a series circuit, and the thermal fuse link and the PTC chip are arranged in the cavity. The device has simple structure and low cost; when the abnormal working condition causes the PTC chip to generate abnormal high temperature, the thermal fuse can cut off the circuit in time, so that the circuit short circuit caused by the fragmentation of the PTC chip is effectively prevented, and other safety accidents caused by the ignition of equipment are avoided.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a protection device of electric equipment, in particular to a compressor starter with a protection function.
Background
The existing PTC starter of the compressor is used for refrigerators for household and similar purposes, namely a thermistor with positive temperature characteristics is connected in series on a secondary winding of the compressor, and the positive temperature coefficient thermistor of the PTC starter is in a small-resistance conduction state at normal temperature. When the compressor motor is energized to start, current flows through the thermistor to complete the compressor starting circuit, causing the compressor motor to start. At the moment of starting the compressor motor, the current flowing through the thermistor enables the resistor to reach a high resistance state, so that the current of the secondary winding of the compressor is reduced, and the compressor motor is enabled to enter a normal state.
In practical application, if the power grid is unstable or abnormal conditions occur in the running process of electric equipment, the PTC starter exceeds the limit bearing range of the thermistor; when the PTC chip is broken and short-circuited, the part of the PTC chip is still connected with the circuit, the positive temperature characteristic of the resistor is invalid, and the phenomenon of continuous electrifying and heating occurs; sparking and arcing phenomena occur at the cracked contact position; at this time, the cracked thermistor has extremely high temperature, and the starter housing can cause a fire phenomenon, even a fire of the refrigerator.
Disclosure of Invention
The PTC starter with the protection function can effectively solve the fire hidden danger of the starter, so that the safety performance of equipment is improved.
The starter with the protection function comprises a box cover and a shell, wherein an internal cavity is formed after the box cover and the shell are relatively tightly combined, a PTC chip and a plurality of external terminals are arranged in the cavity, a spring terminal and a second horn mouth terminal in the shell are respectively arranged at two sides of the PTC chip and are electrically connected with the PTC chip, the other end of the spring terminal is connected with one end of a thermal fuse link, the other end of the thermal fuse link is connected with a first horn mouth terminal and an N terminal, the thermal fuse link and the PTC chip form a series circuit, and the thermal fuse link and the PTC chip are arranged in the cavity.
The temperature of the PTC chip is basically constant during normal operation, the PTC chip can abnormally heat when the fracture condition of the PTC chip exceeds the working condition of nominal withstand voltage, the action temperature of the thermal fuse body is higher than 30 ℃ when the temperature of the PTC chip is higher than the Curie temperature point, and the thermal fuse body can not be protected by mistake during normal operation of the PTC starter. When the circuit is abnormal, the temperature of the PTC chip can rise sharply, and abnormal heating value is transmitted to the thermal fuse through heat conduction. At the moment, the thermal fuse body connected with the PTC chip in series in the cavity can rapidly sense temperature, and the circuit is cut off in time before the PTC chip breaks, so that the PTC chip is prevented from breaking.
The spring terminals and the second horn mouth terminals of the electrodes arranged on the two sides of the PTC chip are staggered and are welded with an elastic sheet, and the PTC chip is fixed by applying pressure from the two sides through the elastic sheet.
The device has simple structure and low cost; when abnormal working conditions occur, the PTC chip rapidly heats, heat is transferred to the thermal fuse body through heat transfer, the thermal fuse body can cut off a circuit in time, and once the thermal fuse body acts, the thermal fuse body cannot recover, so that the fracture probability of the PTC chip is effectively reduced, and the fire hidden danger is avoided.

Detailed Description
Example 1
As shown in fig. 1,2, 3, 4 and 11, the starter with the protection function provided by the invention consists of a box cover (8) and a shell (7), wherein a PTC chip (1), a thermal fuse (4) and a plurality of external terminals are placed in the shell, one end of each external terminal is arranged in the shell, and the other end of each external terminal protrudes out of the shell and is used for external connection. Wherein the three terminals are a D terminal (9), an N terminal (10) and an L terminal (11) respectively. A limit clamping groove is arranged in the shell and is used for placing the PTC chip (1), the thermal fuse (4) and a plurality of external terminals at intervals.
The starter with the protection function is characterized in that a first horn mouth terminal (2) is electrically connected with one end of a thermal fuse link (4), the other end of the thermal fuse link (4) is electrically connected with a spring terminal (3), the spring terminal (3) is electrically connected with one side of a PTC chip (1), and the other side of the PTC chip (1) is electrically connected with a second horn mouth terminal (5) to form a series circuit. One end of the first horn mouth terminal (2) in the shell, which is connected with the thermal fuse (4), is also electrically connected with the N terminal (10). The thermal fuse body (4) is closely arranged on one side of the PTC chip (1), the distance between the thermal fuse body and the PTC chip is smaller than 5mm, and abnormal heating energy of the PTC chip is transferred to the thermal fuse body through heat.
The temperature difference exists between the temperature of the PTC chip in normal operation and the action temperature of the thermal fuse link, and compared with the temperature point of the PTC chip for generating Curie temperature, the action temperature of the thermal fuse link is higher than 30 ℃, so that the thermal fuse link cannot be mistakenly protected when the PTC chip starter works normally.
The compressor PTC chip starter, two ceramic inserts set up in PTC chip both sides. The ceramic insert is used for limiting and clamping the PTC chip, and has extremely high temperature resistance and high pressure resistance.
The second horn mouth terminals and the spring terminals on two sides of the PTC chip are welded with the elastic sheets and are staggered, and the PTC chip is fixed by applying pressure from two sides through the elastic sheets and the inserts. When the PTC chip breaks immediately after failure, the elastic sheet applies force from the other side by taking the ceramic insert as a fulcrum, and the elastic sheet can spring the split part to play a role of breaking. The elastic sheet can also act in time to protect the thermal fuse link under the conditions of local short circuit and continuous heating when broken PTC chip fragments cannot be bounced off, so that fire hidden danger is prevented.
Example two
As shown in fig. 5 and 6, the thermal link is closely mounted at the bottom of the PTC chip, and the distance between the thermal link and the PTC chip is less than 1mm. The first horn mouth terminal (2) is electrically connected with one end of the thermal fuse link (4), and the other end of the thermal fuse link (4) is electrically connected with one end of the spring terminal (3). The other end of the spring terminal (3) is electrically connected with one side of the PTC chip (1), and the other side of the PTC chip (1) is electrically connected with the second horn mouth terminal (5) to form a series circuit. The structure is clear in wiring, and the thermal fuse body connected with the PTC chip in series can rapidly sense temperature and cut off the circuit in time.
Example III
As shown in fig. 7, the thermal link is mounted close to the top of the PTC chip, and the distance between the thermal link and the PTC chip is less than 1mm. The first horn mouth terminal (2) is electrically connected with one end of the thermal fuse link (4), the other end of the thermal fuse link (4) is electrically connected with one end of the spring terminal (3), the other end of the spring terminal (3) is electrically connected with one side of the PTC chip (1), and the other side of the PTC chip (1) is electrically connected with the second horn mouth terminal (5) to form a series circuit. The structure is clear in wiring, and the thermal fuse body connected with the PTC chip in series can rapidly sense temperature and cut off the circuit in time.
Example IV
As shown in fig. 8 and 12, the thermal fuse link is horizontally and closely arranged on the direct contact surface of one side of the PTC chip, and the thermal fuse link surface metal is used as a fixed electrode to be connected in series into the whole circuit. The other end of the thermal fuse body is connected with a second horn mouth terminal, the other side of the PTC chip is connected with a first horn mouth terminal and an N terminal, and the first horn mouth terminal and the N terminal are welded with an elastic sheet and are in abutting electrical connection with the PTC chip electrode. The surface metal of the thermal fuse body is horizontally attached to the PTC chip as an electrode, and heat generated by abnormal heating of the PTC chip when the PTC chip fails can be effectively transferred to the thermal fuse body, and the thermal fuse body can timely act to cut off a circuit to play a role in protecting the whole circuit.
Example five
As shown in fig. 9, the starter with protection function has a thermal fuse-link vertically attached to the direct contact surface of one side of the PTC chip, and is connected in series as an electrode in the whole circuit. The thermal fuse body is arranged on the left side of the PTC chip, one end of the thermal fuse body is connected with the second horn mouth terminal, and metal on the surface of the thermal fuse body is used as an electrode to vertically cling to one side of the PTC chip. The other side of the PTC chip is connected with an N terminal which is simultaneously connected with the first horn mouth terminal, and the N terminal is welded with the elastic sheet and the PTC chip electrode to be tightly propped against the electrode for connection and electrifying. The ceramic mold insert is installed in first horn mouth terminal same side and with the crisscross looks of thermal fuse link, and PTC chip receives 3 point force effect this moment. The device also can play certain protection effect structurally, and the PTC chip can play a role in breaking because the PTC chip can not be clamped after being broken immediately after failure. The surface metal of the thermal fuse body is tightly attached to the PTC chip as an electrode, heat generated by abnormal heating of the PTC chip can be effectively transferred to the thermal fuse body, and the thermal fuse body can timely act to cut off a circuit to play a role in protecting the whole circuit.
Example six
As shown in fig. 10, the starter with protection function has a thermal fuse vertically attached to the direct contact surface of one side of the PTC chip as an electrode connected in series to the entire circuit. The thermal fuse body is installed on the right side of the PTC chip, one end of the thermal fuse body is connected with the first horn mouth terminal and the N terminal, and metal on the surface of the thermal fuse body is used as an electrode to vertically cling to one side of the PTC chip. The other side of the PTC chip is connected with a second horn mouth terminal, and the second horn mouth terminal is welded with an elastic sheet and the PTC chip electrode which are abutted tightly and electrically connected. The ceramic mold insert is installed in second horn mouth terminal one side and is crisscross with the thermal fuse link and put, and PTC chip receives 3 point effect of force this moment, the device also can play certain protection effect structurally, and PTC chip inefficacy can play the effect of breaking circuit because of unable centre gripping after cracked immediately.
