Abstract
一种倾角传感器,包括宽带光源、第一定向耦合器、第二定向耦合器、参考单模光纤、传感单模光纤和光谱仪;所述宽带光源与所述第一定向耦合器输入端连接,所述第一定向耦合器输出端连接所述参考单模光纤和所述传感单模光纤,所述参考单模光纤和所述传感单模光纤的另一端连接所述第二定向耦合器的输入端,所述第二定向耦合器的输出端连接所述光谱仪;所述传感单模光纤的包层上开设有深度小于等于包层壁厚度的凹槽,所述凹槽内充满且密封有两种不同密度且互不相溶的液体,且两种液体形成分层。还提供一种倾角传感器的制备方法。本发明的传感器具有抗电磁干扰、绝缘、灵敏度及分辨率高、耐高压、耐腐蚀、信号衰弱小的优点。
Description
技术领域
本发明属于传感器领域,具体涉及一种基于倏逝场效应的光纤传感器及其制备方法。
背景技术
倾斜角传感器是用于测量被测对象与水平面相对角度的装置,常用于桥梁、矿山、筑路、水坝等的倾斜角监视与测量。倾斜角传感器大量用于操作频繁的露天环境,因此其可靠性和稳定性必须较高。目前常用的倾斜角传感器有气泡式、差动变压器式、电容式、电位器式、磁敏电阻式、偏振片式等多种结构,这些倾斜角传感器有的结构复杂、成本较高,有的在使用寿命、长期高精度的观测上有一定局限性。
发明内容
为了克服上述缺陷,本发明提供一种倾角传感器及其制备方法。具体方案如下。
本发明一方面提供一种倾角传感器,包括宽带光源、第一定向耦合器、第二定向耦合器、参考单模光纤、传感单模光纤和光谱仪;所述宽带光源与所述第一定向耦合器输入端连接,所述第一定向耦合器输出端连接所述参考单模光纤和所述传感单模光纤,所述参考单模光纤和所述传感单模光纤的另一端连接所述第二定向耦合器的输入端,所述第二定向耦合器的输出端连接所述光谱仪;所述传感单模光纤的包层上开设有深度小于等于包层壁厚度的凹槽,所述凹槽内充满且密封有两种不同密度且互不相溶的液体,且两种液体形成分层。
可选地,所述参考单模光纤是单模石英光纤,所述传感单模光纤是单模石英光纤。
可选地,所述凹槽的深度小于所述包层壁厚度。
可选地,所述不同密度互不相溶的两种液体是聚二甲基硅氧烷和水、汽油和水、或氯仿和水等等。
可选地,所述不同密度互不相溶的两种液体可以是任意比例,为了便于操作,优选两种液体的体积比是3:7~7:3之间。
可选地,还包括计算并显示倾斜角度的装置。
本发明另一方面提供一种倾斜角传感器的制备方法,包括如下步骤:选取单模光纤作为传感单模光纤;在所述传感单模光纤的包层上开设深度小于等于所述包层壁厚度的凹槽;在所述凹槽内充满两种不同密度且互不相溶的液体,所述两种液体形成分层;以及密封所述凹槽。
可选地,利用飞秒激光器在所述包层上开设所述凹槽。
可选地,所述参考单模光纤是单模石英光纤,所述传感单模光纤是单模石英光纤。
可选地,所述凹槽的深度小于所述包层壁厚度。
可选地,所述不同密度互不相溶的两种液体是聚二甲基硅氧烷和水、汽油和水、或氯仿和水等等。
可选地,所述不同密度互不相溶的两种液体可以是任意比例,为了便于操作,优选两种液体的体积比是3:7~7:3之间。
本发明的传感器是利用光源发出光与待测参数相互作用,导致光的强度、波长、相位等发生变化,成为被调制的信号,经解调后获得被测参数的一种新型传感器。与传统基于机电和压电效应的传感器相比,本发明的传感器具有抗电磁干扰、绝缘、灵敏度及分辨率高、耐高压、耐腐蚀、信号衰弱小的优点。

具体实施方式
现在将参考附图更全面地描述示例实施方式。然而,示例实施方式能够以多种形式实施,且不应被理解为限于在此阐述的实施方式;相反,提供这些实施方式使得本发明将全面和完整,并将示例实施方式的构思全面地传达给本领域的技术人员。在图中,为了清晰,夸大了区域和层的厚度。在图中相同的附图标记表示相同或类似的结构,因而将省略它们的详细描述。
本发明基于倏逝场效应制成高精度、抗电磁干扰的倾斜角传感器。倏逝效应是指光从一种介质射向另一介质发生全反射时,并不是绝对在界面上被反射回第一介质,而是透入第二介质大约一个波长的深度,并沿着界面流过波长量级距离后重新返回第一介质,沿着反射光方向射出,这个沿着第二介质表面流动的波称为倏逝波,倏逝波可以带回第二介质中的信息。利用这一效应,将光纤表面倏逝场作为敏感区,选择适当的物质填充这一区域,可以制成传感器。本发明基于这一效应,采用不同密度互不相溶的液体双层溶液作为敏感物质,设计了灵敏度及分辨率高、抗电磁干扰、耐高压及腐蚀的干涉型光纤传感器。
结合图1说明本发明的的光纤倾斜角传感器,包括宽带光源10、第一定向耦合器20、第二定向耦合器60、参考单模光纤40、传感单模光纤30和光谱仪70。宽带光源10与第一定向耦合器20输入端连接,第一定向耦合器20输出端连接参考单模光纤40和传感单模光纤30,参考单模光纤40和传感单模光纤30的另一端连接第二定向耦合器60的输入端,第二定向耦合器60的输出端连接光谱仪70。传感单模光纤30包括敏感区域50,敏感区域50为在传感单模光纤30的包层51上开设有深度小于等于包层51壁厚度的凹槽,凹槽内充满且密封有两种不同密度且互不相溶的液体,且两种液体形成分层。
第一定向耦合器20和第二定向耦合器60可以是3dB耦合器等。参考单模光纤40和传感单模光纤30可以是单模石英、玻璃、塑料光纤。由于石英的热膨胀系数小于玻璃和塑料,因此石英光纤受温度的影响较玻璃和塑料受温度的影响小,因此采用石英光纤的传感器传感精度较采用玻璃或塑料光纤的精度高。开设在包层51上的凹槽的深度最大不能超过包层51的厚度,超出包层51的厚度,则会损伤光纤。应当在工艺条件允许的条件下尽量减小凹槽的深度,凹槽的深度越小,测量的精度越高。
光纤倾斜角传感器利用波长1000-1680nm宽带光源作为光信号输出源,利用两个定向耦合器20,60实现光信号分路/合路,利用两根单模光纤作为传感单模光纤30和参考单模光纤40,利用填充有两种不同密度且互不相溶的液体双层溶液作为倾斜角传感器敏感物质,利用光谱仪接收干涉光信号。其工作原理为:光从宽带光源发出后,通过第一定向耦合器20分成两束光分别进入传感和参考单模光纤30,40,两束光始终沿着光纤传播,速度恒定。由于传感单模光纤30上装有填充液体的敏感区域50,基于倏逝效应,经过传感单模光纤30的光获得相位延迟,与参考单模光纤40的光在第二定向耦合器60相遇后叠加干涉,并由光谱仪70接收干涉光信号。
结合图2说明的光纤传感器敏感区域50的结构,传感单模光纤30由包层51和纤芯56组成。在包层51上形成深度等于包层壁厚的凹槽57,凹槽57内充满两种不同密度且互不相溶的液体。可以用玻璃管54对凹槽57进行密封。凹槽57内的两种液体互不相溶,且存在密度差异,因此将出现分层现象。凹槽57内的液体可以使任何两种不同密度且互不相溶的液体,例如可以是聚二甲基硅氧烷和水、汽油和水、氯仿和水等等。两种液体的比例可以是任意比例,为了便于操作优选两种液体的体积比是3:7~7:3。以下以体积比1:1的聚二甲基硅氧烷和水为例,参考图3,解释本发明的传感器的工作原理,但并不意在限定本发明。当传感器处于水平状态时,光从传感单模光纤30中传递时经过的敏感区域50液体,液体内部折射率由聚二甲基硅氧烷52和水53共同决定,对应延迟相位θ1。当传感器处于倾斜状态时,光经过敏感区域50的液体是图中的状态,液体折射率左段由二甲基硅氧烷52决定,中段由二甲基硅氧烷52和水53共同决定,右段由水53决定,对应另一延迟相位θ2。两者的相位差△θ将会使干涉光谱发生相位漂移由这个漂移量可以反演外界倾角的变化△α。
传感器还可以包括计算和显示倾斜角的装置,例如计算机等任何适合计算和显示的装置。计算机接收第二定向耦合器60输入的信息,得到相位漂移再根据事先拟合确定的对应函数关系,计算出倾斜角△α。之后计算机将倾斜角△α输出给显示装置,在显示装置显示。
以下结合图4A和4B、实施例1解释说明传感器敏感区域的制备过程。本领域技术人可以理解以下描述仅用于说明本发明的构思,并不意在限定本发明。
实施例1
选取两根外径d1=125μm,内径d2=9μm的石英单模石英光纤分别作为传感单模石英光纤40和参考单模石英光纤30,其中石英热膨胀系数0.33E-6/K,可以最大限度降低温度对光纤的干扰。利用飞秒激光器在传感单模石英光纤40的包层51上加工一个长10mm,宽65μm,深58μm的凹槽57,确保凹槽57平面度和垂直度公差等级达到2级。采用石英玻璃管54作为密封管,玻璃管外径d1=180μm,内径d2=125μm,长度l=12mm。同样利用飞秒激光器在密封管的两头加工出一个直径d3=150μm,深0.5mm的密封槽。
将加工后的传感单模石英光纤40放入装有双氧水的超声波清洗机,清洗5分钟后放入烘干机烘干。
利用一对六维调整架分别固定加工后的传感单模石英光纤40和石英玻璃管54,使用显微镜找到石英玻璃管54的位置,调整显微镜图像直到能清晰看见内孔为止。左右平移传感单模石英光纤40缓慢靠近石英玻璃管54,匀速插入光纤,直到传感单模石英光纤40凹槽57边界与玻璃管一端相重合为止。
利用微量滴定器向凹槽57内分别加入等量二甲基硅氧烷和水溶液,且两种液体充满凹槽57,随后再次缓慢插入传感单模石英光纤40,直到凹槽57彻底没入密封管0.5mm为止,利用显微镜观察此时液面分层情况,如果分层失败则退出光纤重新加液,重复上述步骤直至两种液体形成分层为止。
利用胶枪在密封槽处涂覆UV胶,随后放置于固定架上等待胶水固化形成密封层55。
本发明的传感器是利用光源发出光与待测参数相互作用,导致光的强度、波长、相位等发生变化,成为被调制的信号,经解调后获得被测参数的一种新型传感器。与传统基于机电和压电效应的传感器相比,本发明的传感器具有抗电磁干扰、绝缘、灵敏度及分辨率高、耐高压、耐腐蚀、信号衰弱小的优点。
当然,本发明还可有其它多种实施例,在不背离本发明精神及其实质的情况下,熟悉本领域的技术人员当可根据本发明作出各种相应的改变和变形,但这些相应的改变和变形都应属于本发明所附的权利要求的保护范围。
Claims (10)
1.一种倾斜角传感器,其特征在于,包括宽带光源、第一定向耦合器、第二定向耦合器、参考单模光纤、传感单模光纤和光谱仪;
所述宽带光源与所述第一定向耦合器输入端连接,所述第一定向耦合器输出端连接所述参考单模光纤和所述传感单模光纤,所述参考单模光纤和所述传感单模光纤的另一端连接所述第二定向耦合器的输入端,所述第二定向耦合器的输出端连接所述光谱仪;
所述传感单模光纤的包层上开设有深度小于等于包层壁厚度的凹槽,所述凹槽内充满且密封有两种不同密度且互不相溶的液体,且两种液体形成分层。
2.根据权利要求1所述的倾斜角传感器,其特征在于,所述参考单模光纤是单模石英光纤,所述传感单模光纤是单模石英光纤。
3.根据权利要求1所述的倾斜角传感器,其特征在于,所述凹槽的深度小于所述包层壁厚度。
4.根据权利要求1所述的倾斜角传感器,其特征在于,所述不同密度互不相溶的两种液体体积比是3:7~7:3之间。
5.根据权利要求1所述的倾斜角传感器,其特征在于,还包括计算并显示倾斜角度的装置。
6.一种倾斜角传感器的制备方法,其特征在于,包括如下步骤:
选取单模光纤作为传感单模光纤;
在所述传感单模光纤的包层上开设深度小于等于所述包层壁厚度的凹槽;
在所述凹槽内充满两种不同密度且互不相溶的液体,所述两种液体形成分层;以及
密封所述凹槽。
7.根据权利要求6所述的制备方法,其特征在于,利用飞秒激光器在所述包层上开设所述凹槽。
8.根据权利要求6所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述传感单模光纤是单模石英光纤。
9.根据权利要求6所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述凹槽的深度小于所述包层壁厚度。
10.根据权利要求6所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述不同密度互不相溶的两种液体的体积比是3:7~7:3之间。
