Detailed Description
To facilitate an understanding of the invention, the invention will now be described more fully with reference to the accompanying drawings. Preferred embodiments of the present invention are shown in the drawings. This invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein. Rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be thorough and complete.
Unless defined otherwise, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this invention belongs. The terminology used in the description of the invention herein is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of the invention. As used herein, the term "and/or" includes any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items.
One embodiment provides a printing cost calculation method for reasonably formulating printing cost according to the color coverage condition of a file to be printed. Fig. 2 shows an application environment of the printing cost calculation method, which includes a printing control terminal 10, a printing server 20, and a printer 30.
The print control terminal 10 is, for example, a PC (personal computer). The print control terminal 10 is used to provide print data to the printer 30. The printer 30 is used for printing based on the print data.
The print server 20 is connected to the print control terminal 10. Also, the print server 20 includes a memory, a processor, and a computer program stored on the memory and executable on the processor. The processor implements the printing cost calculation method provided in the present embodiment when executing the computer program.
The print server 20 may serve as a relay in the transmission process of the print job, that is, the print server 20 is connected between the print control terminal 10 and the printer 30. The print server 20 may transmit data with the print control terminal 10 and the printer 30 via a network or other methods. In the printing process, the printing control terminal 10 transmits printing data to the printing server 20. Upon receiving the print data, the print server 20 calculates a print fee from the print data, and transmits the print data to the printer 30. Upon receiving the print data, the printer 30 can start printing. It should be noted that, after calculating the printing cost, the print server 20 may send the printing cost to the printer 30, or to a mobile phone or other intelligent terminal of the setting user, so as to settle the cost after printing is completed.
It is understood that the interaction manner between the print server 20 and the print control terminal 10 and the printer 30 is not limited to the above, as long as the printer 30 can complete printing and the printing cost can be reasonably calculated according to the color coverage of the document to be printed. For example, the print control terminal 10 may be connected to the print server 20 and the printer 30, respectively. In this way, the print control terminal 10 transmits the print data to the print server 20 and the printer 30, respectively, during the printing process. The print server 20 calculates a print fee based on the print data, and the printer 20 performs printing based on the print data.
Next, a specific implementation principle of the printing cost calculation method will be described in detail, and please refer to fig. 1, which includes the following contents.
In step S100, print data for printing a file to be printed is acquired.
The content of the document to be printed includes, for example, text and images. The print data is the print data output by the print control terminal 10. The print data is composed of a printer language, and when the printer 30 receives the print data, the print data is recognized and analyzed, and finally, characters and images can be printed. The printer language is, for example, a Page Description Language (PDL) or an embedded language (e.g., Escape code language).
And step S200, acquiring the color coverage rate of the file to be printed by using the printing data.
The color coverage rate can reflect the proportion of the color content in the file to be printed. If the file to be printed is a picture or a photo, the color coverage rate is high. If the document to be printed is an ordinary document such as a logo with only a header or footer with a small number of colors or a color with only a few words being color, the color coverage is low.
In the present embodiment, since the print data corresponds to the file to be printed one-to-one, the color coverage of the file to be printed can be calculated by analyzing the print data (for example, analyzing the print data by an analog printer).
In this step, the color coverage of each page in the document to be printed may be calculated, or the color coverage of the entire content of the document to be printed may be calculated.
And step S300, calculating the printing cost of the file to be printed according to the color coverage rate. Wherein the printing cost and the color coverage are two associated quantities with the same direction of change.
Wherein the printing cost refers to a cost required for color printing. The printing cost and the color coverage are two associated quantities with the same change direction, in other words, if the color coverage is lower, the printing cost is lower; if the color coverage is high, the printing cost is high. For example: when color printing is performed, the cost per page of a photograph or picture will be higher than that of a general document.
It should be noted that, in step S300, the printing cost of each page may be respectively calculated according to the color coverage of each page, and finally, the printing cost of the document to be printed is obtained by adding up the printing costs of all pages; or, directly calculating the printing cost of the file to be printed according to the color coverage rate of the whole content of the file to be printed.
In actual printing, the cost difference between black-and-white printing supplies and color printing supplies is not very large, and for photos or pictures, the color coverage is usually more than 80%, while for ordinary documents with only a small percentage of color content, the color coverage is usually only 5% -20%. In the traditional color printing, the charging is based on the uniform color unit price no matter the color coverage rate of the document to be printed, namely the color printing cost of each page is the same, so that the charging cost is not reasonable. In order to overcome the above problems, the present embodiment calculates the printing cost according to the color coverage of the document to be printed, so that the charged printing cost is determined by the actual amount of consumables for color printing, thereby improving the rationalization of the printing cost, and allowing the user to print the color document with confidence.
In one embodiment, one specific implementation manner of the step S200 includes the following contents, please refer to fig. 3.
Step S210, converting the print data into a raster image corresponding to the file to be printed.
The print server 20 may simulate the printer 30 to identify and analyze the print data, so as to draw a raster image corresponding to the file to be printed.
Step S220, identifying the color pixels in the raster image and counting the number of the color pixels.
One specific implementation of identifying color pixels in a raster image includes the following, for example, please refer to fig. 4.
Step S221, calculating a ratio of each channel color of each pixel in the raster image in the set color mode.
The color mode is set to, for example, a CMYK mode. If the color mode is set to the CMYK mode, the colors including 4 channels are C (cyan), M (magenta), Y (yellow), and K (black), respectively.
The step may specifically be: the CMYK values of the pixels in the raster image are calculated.
The CMYK values include a C value (i.e., a ratio of C), an M value (i.e., a ratio of M), a Y value (i.e., a ratio of Y), and a K value (i.e., a ratio of K).
Step S222, identifying color pixels in the raster image according to the ratio of each channel color.
In any color mode, the proportion of each channel color is different, and the color of the pixel is different, so that all color pixels in the raster image can be identified according to the proportion of each channel color. For example, in the CMYK color mode, if the C value, the M value, the Y value, and the K value are all 0, the color of the pixel is white, and printing is not required; if the C value, the M value and the Y value are all 0 and the K value is greater than 0, the color of the pixel is not colorful; if any one of the C value, the M value and the Y value is larger than 0, the color of the pixel is chromatic.
On the premise that step S221 specifically calculates the CMYK values of each pixel in the raster image, step S222 specifically includes: and judging that any value of the C value, the M value and the Y value of the pixel is greater than 0, and determining that the pixel is a color pixel.
Referring to fig. 3, step S200 further includes the following steps after step S220:
in step S230, the color coverage is obtained according to the number of color pixels.
The total number of all pixels and the total number of color pixels in the raster image may be counted, and then the total number of the color pixels is divided by the total number of all pixels, so as to obtain the color coverage.
In one embodiment, the step S300 specifically includes the following contents, please refer to fig. 5.
In step S310, a color reference unit price is acquired.
The color reference unit price is, for example, a printing cost when the colors of all the contents of the document to be printed are all colored. Alternatively, if the color coverage per page is calculated, the color reference unit price may be a printing cost when the colors of one page of content are all in color.
And step S320, calculating the printing cost of the file to be printed according to the color reference unit price and the color coverage rate.
If the color coverage of all the contents of the file to be printed is calculated in the step S200 and the color reference unit price is the printing cost of all the color contents of the file to be printed, the product of the color reference unit price and the color coverage can be used as the printing cost of the file to be printed in the step S; if the calculated color coverage rate of each page of the document to be printed in step S200 is the print cost when all the colors of one page of the document are colored, the color reference unit price is multiplied by the color coverage rate of each page to obtain the print cost of each page, and finally the print costs of all the pages are added to obtain the print cost of the document to be printed.
