Detailed Description
So that the manner in which the features and aspects of the embodiments of the present invention can be understood in detail, a more particular description of the embodiments of the invention, briefly summarized above, may be had by reference to the embodiments, some of which are illustrated in the appended drawings.
In a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, a basic uplink scheduling procedure is shown in fig. 1. When uplink data of the UE needs to be sent, the UE sends an Scheduling Request (SR) on a specified SR resource, and a base station learns that the UE has the uplink data to be sent through the SR; a base station schedules UE uplink transmission, and configures a small part of resources for the UE for transmitting BSR; the UE sends BSR (possibly containing partial data) to the base station on an uplink grant (UL grant) scheduled by the base station; the base station knows how much uplink data the UE has according to the BSR, and then the base station performs scheduling data according to the amount of uplink data to be sent by the UE and the priority of the data service, that is, resources are allocated to the UE, and the UE sends data (data) in the UL grant scheduled by the base station.
As can be seen from the above description, the role of the BSR is: information to tell the base station how much data the UE has to send. In other words, the BSR is used to inform the base station UE of the amount of data to be sent.
According to different scenarios, there are different ways to trigger the UE to report BSR to the base station:
mode one (buffer of UE is empty and new data arrives): when all logical channels of all Logical Channel Groups (LCGs) do not have uplink data that can be sent, if any logical channel belonging to any LCG has data that becomes available for sending, the UE triggers BSR reporting, and this BSR is called a regular BSR (regular BSR).
Mode two (high priority data arrival): if the UE has sent a BSR and is waiting for an ul grant, where higher priority data needs to be transmitted, the UE triggers BSR reporting, which is called regular BSR.
Mode three (UE reports its BSR to the base station periodically): base station information by Information Element (IE): the period BSR-Timer field of the MAC-MainConfig configures a Timer (Timer) for the UE, and if the Timer times out, the UE triggers BSR reporting, which is called periodic BSR (periodic BSR).
The method is as follows: when the UE has uplink resources and finds that data to be transmitted is not enough to fill the uplink resources, redundant bits in the uplink resources are used as padding bits (padding bits) to be padded with some data. When the number of padding bits is equal to or greater than the BSR control information plus the corresponding subheader size, the UE will use the padding bits to send a BSR, which is called padding BSR (padding BSR).
For the third method, in the configuration process of the periodic BSR, all the logical channel groups are configured by using a fixed timer, which may cause a problem that some services cannot guarantee QoS because no uplink grant is obtained. For example, there are service 1, service 2, and service 3, which belong to different LCGs, where the priority of service 1 is higher than that of service 2, the priority of service 2 is higher than that of service 3, service 1 always arrives at the buffer slightly before service 2 and service 3, and if the padding bit of the uplink authorization is not enough to carry the BSR, service 2 and service 3 cannot report the BSR, and the UE cannot obtain corresponding uplink authorization for service 2 and service 3. In this case, service 2 and service 3 can only obtain uplink grant through periodic BSR reporting. However, if the data arrival rates of service 2 and service 3 are different, it is necessary to adjust the respective reporting periods.
Therefore, how to negotiate and adjust the BSR timer between the UE and the base station is an urgent problem to be solved.
Fig. 2 is a first flowchart illustrating a reconfiguration method of a BSR timer according to an embodiment of the present invention, where the reconfiguration method of the BSR timer in this example is applied to a UE side, as shown in fig. 2, the reconfiguration method of the BSR timer includes the following steps:
step 201: and sending a request message for reconfiguring a BSR timer to a base station, wherein the BSR timer is used for triggering BSR reporting.
In the embodiment of the invention, when the UE monitors that the BSR can not be reported in time, a negotiation process with the base station is triggered, and the negotiation process aims to reconfigure the current BSR timer (hereinafter referred to as reconfiguration) so as to ensure that the BSR can be reported in time.
Here, when the UE negotiates with the base station, a request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer is first transmitted to the base station by the UE.
In an embodiment, the request message for reconfiguring the BSR carries BSR timer parameters recommended by the UE. Therefore, the base station can reasonably redistribute the BSR timer parameters according to the BSR timer parameters recommended by the UE, and the obtained BSR timer parameters better meet the service requirements.
Of course, the request message for reconfiguring the BSR may not carry BSR timer parameters recommended by the UE. Thus, the base station needs to re-allocate the BSR timer parameter itself.
In this embodiment of the present invention, the recommended BSR timer parameter includes at least one of: a target parameter of the recommended BSR timer, a variation parameter of the recommended BSR timer.
Here, when the UE recommends the BSR timer parameter to the base station, the target parameter of the BSR timer may be directly recommended, where the target parameter refers to a final value to which the BSR timer needs to be adjusted. Of course, the UE may also recommend a change parameter to the base station, where the change parameter refers to a value that the BSR timer needs to be adjusted.
In the above scheme, the target parameter of the recommended BSR timer is characterized by a time parameter or by an index parameter; the variation parameter of the recommended BSR timer is represented by a time parameter or an index parameter; the index parameter and the time parameter have a corresponding relation. Here, the time parameter is a time duration.
For example: the recommended BSR timer parameters are 5ms, 10ms, etc.
The recommended BSR timer parameters are Index1 (corresponding to a time parameter of 5ms), Index2 (corresponding to a time parameter of 10ms), and so on.
It should be noted that, when the target parameter of the recommended BSR timer is characterized by a Time parameter, the Time parameter may be a unit of a subframe (sub frame) length or a TTI (Transmission Time Interval) length.
For example, the recommended BSR timer parameter is 5sf, i.e., 5 subframe lengths;
alternatively, the recommended BSR timer parameter is 5 TTIs, i.e. 5TTI lengths.
Step 202: and receiving a response message which is sent by the base station and used for reconfiguring the BSR timer, wherein the response message carries reconfiguration parameters of the BSR timer.
In the embodiment of the invention, the reconfiguration parameters of the BSR timer are represented by time parameters; or, the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer is characterized by an index parameter, where the index parameter and the time parameter have a corresponding relationship. Here, the time parameter is a time duration.
For example: the reconfiguration parameters of the BSR timer are 5ms, 7ms, etc.
The reconfiguration parameters of the BSR timer are Index1 (corresponding to a time parameter of 5ms) and Index2 (corresponding to a time parameter of 10 ms).
It should be noted that, when the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer is characterized by a time parameter, the time parameter may be in units of subframe length or TTI length.
For example, the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer is 5sf, i.e., 5 subframe length;
alternatively, the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer is 5 TTIs, i.e. 5TTI lengths.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the recommended BSR timer parameter may be the same as or different from the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer.
In an embodiment, a response message sent by the base station for reconfiguring the BSR timer is received through MAC signaling.
In another embodiment, a response message for reconfiguring the BSR timer, which is sent by the base station, is received through an RRC connection reconfiguration message.
In the foregoing solution of the embodiment of the present invention, the BSR timer includes: a periodic BSR timer and/or a retransmission BSR timer; wherein the content of the first and second substances,
the periodic BSR timer is used for indicating the time for reporting the next periodic BSR;
the retransmission BSR timer is used for indicating the time of BSR retransmission.
Here, the retransmission BSR timer may be configured for a certain LCG, may be configured for a certain logical channel, and may be configured for a certain UE, as in the case of the periodic BSR timer. In an embodiment, the base station configures a retransmission BSR timer and a periodic BSR timer for the UE through MAC signaling or an RRC connection reconfiguration message.
For example: the time length of the periodic BSR timer is 5ms, the time length of the retransmission BSR timer is 2ms, when the 5ms is reached, the UE triggers the first BSR reporting, if the base station successfully receives the BSR reported by the UE, the UE is fed back with an acknowledgement (Ack) message, and if the base station does not successfully receive the BSR reported by the UE, the UE is fed back with a failure in reception (Nack) message. When the UE determines that the base station does not successfully receive the BSR reported by the UE, the UE retransmits the BSR every 2ms until the base station successfully receives the BSR.
The reporting quality of the BSR can be effectively improved by combining the periodic BSR timer and the retransmission BSR timer to trigger the reporting of the BSR.
In the embodiment of the invention, when the base station receives the request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer, which is sent by the UE, the BSR timer is reconfigured. And then, the UE receives a response message which is sent by the base station and used for reconfiguring the BSR timer, wherein the response message carries the reconfiguration parameters of the BSR timer. And finally, the UE adjusts the BSR timer based on the BSR timer parameter.
The embodiment of the invention solves the problem that the design of the BSR timer in the mobile communication system (such as 4G and 5G) is not flexible enough, and the reasonable BSR timer parameters are reconfigured through the negotiation process of the UE and the base station, thereby effectively ensuring the QoS of the service and reasonably allocating the uplink resources.
The technical scheme of the embodiment of the invention can be applied to various types of mobile communication systems, and is further described in detail in combination with specific application scenes.
Application scenario one (LTE system)
In an LTE system, a BSR timer and UE have a corresponding relation; correspondingly, if the request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer carries the BSR timer parameter recommended by the UE, the recommended BSR timer parameter refers to: a common BSR timer parameter recommended for all logical channel groups of the UE. The reconfiguration parameters of the BSR timer refer to: common BSR timer parameters for all logical channel group reconfigurations for the UE.
Here, the BSR timer is set by the base station for the UE, i.e.: all the LCGs of the UE correspond to a common BSR timer parameter, where an LCG includes more than one logical channel, and all the logical channels included in all the LCGs of the UE correspond to a common BSR timer parameter.
The UE sends a request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer to the base station, wherein the request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer can carry public BSR timer parameters which are recommended by the UE and aim at all logical channel groups; then, the base station receives a request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer, and determines the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer according to the BSR timer parameter carried in the request message, and obviously, the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer is also a common BSR timer parameter for all logical channel groups. And finally, the UE adjusts the current BSR timer according to the reconfiguration parameters of the BSR timer.
In this embodiment, the BSR timer includes: a periodic BSR timer and/or a retransmission BSR timer; the periodic BSR timer is used for indicating the time for reporting the next periodic BSR; the retransmission BSR timer is used for indicating the time of BSR retransmission.
Here, both BSR timers can be reconfigured, and the reporting quality of the BSR can be effectively guaranteed.
In an embodiment, the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer is characterized by a time parameter; or, the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer is characterized by an index parameter, where the index parameter and the time parameter have a corresponding relationship.
In another embodiment, the recommended BSR timer parameter (i.e. the target parameter or the variation parameter of the recommended BSR timer) is characterized by a time parameter or by an index parameter; the index parameter and the time parameter have a corresponding relation.
Here, both the UE and the base station store the corresponding relationship between the index parameter and the time parameter, and this corresponding relationship can be implemented by a table, as shown in table 1:
TABLE 1 index parameter and time parameter corresponding relation table
Indexing parameters Time parameter
1 5ms
2 10ms
3 15ms
4 20ms
5 25ms
Therefore, if one index parameter is obtained, the corresponding time parameter can be determined according to the corresponding relation. The time parameter is represented by the index parameter, so that the safety of data can be guaranteed, and the data can be transmitted more conveniently.
In this embodiment, when the UE and the base station perform message transmission, the message may be implemented based on the MAC signaling or the RRC connection reconfiguration message, so that a new interaction procedure does not need to be added, and the load of air interface resources is reduced.
In this embodiment, when the base station feeds back the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer to the UE, the base station may directly feed back the target parameter, and at this time, the UE may directly adjust the current timer parameter to the target parameter; of course, the base station may also feed back the adjustment parameter to the UE, and at this time, the UE performs corresponding increase or decrease on the current timer parameter according to the adjustment parameter.
Application scenario two (New Radio (NR) system)
In the NR system, the BSR timer has a correspondence with a logical channel group; correspondingly, if the request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer carries the BSR timer parameter recommended by the UE, the recommended BSR timer parameter refers to: a BSR timer parameter recommended for the target logical channel group. The reconfiguration parameters of the BSR timer refer to: BSR timer parameters for target logical channel group reconfiguration.
Here, the BSR timer is set by the base station for the logical channel group, that is: all logical channels of each LCG correspond to a common BSR timer parameter, and the BSR timer parameters corresponding to different LCGs may be different.
The UE sends a request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer to the base station, wherein the request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer can carry BSR timer parameters which are recommended by the UE and aim at the logical channel group; then, the base station receives the request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer, and determines the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer according to the BSR timer parameter carried in the request message, and obviously, the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer is also the BSR timer parameter for the logical channel group.
Here, both the UE and the base station side store the corresponding relationship between the index parameter and the time parameter, and this corresponding relationship can be realized by a table.
Application scenario three (NR System)
In the NR system, the BSR timer has a correspondence with a logical channel; correspondingly, if the request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer carries the BSR timer parameter recommended by the UE, the recommended BSR timer parameter refers to: a BSR timer parameter recommended for the target logical channel. The reconfiguration parameters of the BSR timer refer to: BSR timer parameters for target logical channel reconfiguration.
Here, the BSR timer is set by the base station for the logical channel, that is: each logical channel corresponds to one BSR timer parameter, and BSR timer parameters corresponding to different logical channels may be different.
The UE sends a request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer to the base station, wherein the request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer can carry BSR timer parameters which are recommended by the UE and aim at a logic channel; then, the base station receives the request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer, and determines the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer according to the BSR timer parameter carried in the request message, and obviously, the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer is also a BSR timer parameter for a logical channel.
Here, both the UE and the base station side store the corresponding relationship between the index parameter and the time parameter, and this corresponding relationship can be realized by a table.
In this embodiment, when the base station feeds back the reconfigured BSR timer parameter to the UE, the target parameter may be directly fed back, and at this time, the UE may directly adjust the current timer parameter to the target parameter; of course, the base station may also feed back the adjustment parameter to the UE, and at this time, the UE performs corresponding increase or decrease on the current timer parameter according to the adjustment parameter.
Fig. 3 is a flow diagram illustrating a second reconfiguration method of a BSR timer according to an embodiment of the present invention, where the reconfiguration method of the BSR timer in this example is applied to a base station side, as shown in fig. 3, the reconfiguration method of the BSR timer includes the following steps:
step 301: receiving a request message sent by UE for reconfiguring a BSR timer, wherein the BSR timer is used for triggering BSR reporting.
In the LTE system, the base station is an evolved Node B (eNB). In the NR system, the base station is a 5G node b (gnb).
Here, when the UE negotiates with the base station, the UE first transmits a request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer to the base station, and at the same time, the base station receives the request message for reconfiguring the BSR timer transmitted by the UE.
Step 302: and sending a response message for reconfiguring the BSR timer to the UE, wherein the response message carries the reconfiguration parameters of the BSR timer.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the recommended BSR timer parameter may be the same as or different from the reconfiguration parameter of the BSR timer.
In an embodiment, a response message for reconfiguring the BSR timer is sent to the UE through MAC signaling.
In another embodiment, a response message for reconfiguring the BSR timer is transmitted to the UE through an RRC connection reconfiguration message.
In the foregoing solution of the embodiment of the present invention, the BSR timer includes: a periodic BSR timer and/or a retransmission BSR timer; wherein the content of the first and second substances,
the periodic BSR timer is used for indicating the time for reporting the next periodic BSR;
the retransmission BSR timer is used for indicating the time of BSR retransmission.
