Detailed Description
The technical solution of the present invention is further described in detail with reference to the drawings and the specific embodiments of the specification.
As shown in fig. 1, the present embodiment provides a PLMN access method, including:
step S110: loading eSIM card data in a hardware module of an embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) of a terminal when a predetermined terminal state event is detected;
step S120: requesting registration to a PLMN corresponding to the eSIM card data by using the eSIM card data;
step S130: measuring the PLMN requesting registration to obtain a measurement result;
step S140: and determining whether to access the PLMN requesting registration according to the measurement result.
The PLMN access method provided in this embodiment may be applied to a method in a terminal. The terminals here may be various types of communication terminals,
in this embodiment, when the terminal detects a predetermined terminal status event, indicating that the terminal has a need to connect to a new PLMN, eSIM card data is loaded in a hardware module of an eSIM of the terminal. The eSIM card data herein can include eSIM card user data and/or eSIM card security data. The eSIM card user data can include data related to a user, such as a communication number. The eSIM card security data can include: various security algorithms and security keys. The data loaded into the hardware module in this embodiment at least includes: the eSIM card user data. In this embodiment, the hardware module may be an embedded universal integrated circuit card eUICC.
The eSIM card data in step S110 may be pre-stored in the terminal for the terminal, or may be downloaded by the terminal using the current network connection. For example, if the terminal has installed a SIM card that has established a network connection with a PLMN, the terminal can currently download one or more sets of eSIM card data for connection to other PLMNs using the network connection. If the terminal is currently connected to the network through WiFi, bluetooth or Device to Device (D2D), the terminal may also temporarily download the eSIM card data through such network connection.
In step S120, after the eSIM card data is loaded in the hardware module, such as the eUICC, registration to a corresponding PLMN may be requested by using the loaded eSIM card data.
In step S130, a measurement is performed on the PLMN requested to be registered, where the measurement includes detecting whether the registration of the terminal requested to be registered to the PLMN is successful, and the method may further include: when the terminal has just registered to the PLMN successfully, it needs to detect measurements such as communication service quality that can be provided by the PLMN, specifically, detection of various characterizations of wireless communication quality, such as detecting signal strength, detecting connection bandwidth, and detecting stability of wireless frequency point.
And finally, determining whether to access the PLMN corresponding to the eSIM card data finally according to the measurement result. For example, when the measurement result indicates that the PLMN registration has failed, it is apparent that the PLMN cannot be accessed. And if the measurement result shows that the terminal is successfully registered to the PLMN, selecting a PLMN with the best communication service quality from the PLMNs which can be successfully registered as the final accessed PLMN according to the measurement result of the communication service quality of the PLMN. Furthermore, due to the saving of power consumption of the terminal, the connection with other PLMNs with poor communication service quality is disconnected.
In one aspect, the step S140 may include:
and when the measurement result shows that the terminal is successfully registered to the PLMN and/or the communication service quality provided by the PLMN meets the preset quality requirement, determining to access the PLMN.
In another aspect, the method further comprises:
and when the measurement result shows that the terminal is not successfully registered to the PLMN and the communication service quality provided by the PLMN does not meet the preset quality requirement, determining to detect the preset terminal state event and replace the eSIM card data in the eSIM hardware module.
Here, by replacing the eSIM card data in the hardware module, the current operation triggered by the predetermined terminal state event is stopped until all the standby eSIM card data are replaced and a PLMN which is successfully registered is not found, or the current operation triggered by the predetermined terminal state event is stopped until a PLMN which can be successfully registered or a PLMN whose communication service quality meets a quality requirement is known to be successfully registered.
In this way, on the one hand, the terminal can conveniently select among the plurality of PLMNs to select the PLMN to which it can connect, and on the other hand, the terminal can be registered to the PLMN with the best communication service quality.
In some embodiments, the predetermined terminal state event comprises at least one of: the user manually selects a PLMN event, a terminal location update event, and a terminal offline event.
For example, the terminal may locate its own position in real time or periodically, and when the displacement of the terminal is greater than a preset threshold or moves to an area with poor network coverage, it may be considered that the terminal position update event is detected.
For example, when the terminal receives an event that the user manually switches the PLMN, the terminal considers that a predetermined terminal state event triggering the above steps S110 to S140 is detected.
For example, when the current terminal cannot connect to the PLMN or the connection signal of the terminal to the currently registered PLMN is weak, the terminal considers that it detects the talk-around event. When the predetermined terminal state event is detected, sending a measurement signal to a measurement application by the predetermined terminal state event, or information such as terminal detection position information, a currently registered PLMN connection signal, and the like, and loading the detected information into the measurement application, and determining whether the predetermined terminal state event is detected by the measurement application according to the detected data, so as to finally determine whether to execute the above steps S110 to S140.
In some embodiments, the method further comprises:
and sending the measurement result to a network platform, wherein the measurement result is used for providing the terminal with recommended eSIM card data by the network platform according to the position of the terminal.
In this embodiment, the terminal further sends the measurement result to a network platform through a network connection. The network connection may be a connection formed when another current SIM card is connected to the network, or a connection of a network provided by other communication systems such as WiFi, and the like, and is sent to the network platform. Of course, it may also be that when the hardware module of the eSIM card finds a currently registrable PLMN or a PLMN with good enough communication service quality, and establishes a network connection with a PLMN meeting various requirements, the newly established network connection sends the measurement result to the network platform.
The measurement result can be used for the network platform to determine the eSIM card data recommended to the terminal at the current position according to the current position of the terminal.
In some embodiments, the method further comprises:
downloading an eSIM card data package from a network platform, wherein the eSIM card data package comprises: one or more sets of eSIM card data are available for access to the PLMN.
In this embodiment, the eSIM card data package includes one or more sets of eSIM card data that can be accessed to a corresponding PLMN. The multiple sets of eSIM card data herein can be eSIM data for access to different PLMNs.

The measurement application accepts terminal state event information provided by the terminal. The terminal state event information includes but is not limited to a terminal user manual network selection instruction event, a terminal positioning update event and a terminal offline event. And after receiving the terminal state event information, the measurement application program extracts data from the SIM card inserted into the terminal and generates a candidate PLMN list, and prompts a terminal user to manually select a network or controls the terminal to automatically select the network. The candidate PLMN list is generated by data related to RPLMN, UPLMN, OPLMN and FPLMN carried by the SIM card.
And after the measurement application program accepts a PLMN selected manually by a terminal user or automatically by a terminal from the candidate PLMN list, loading the eSIM card data supporting the access of the selected PLMN on a hardware module of the eSIM. The measurement application extracts the loaded eSIM card data in an attempt to complete the registration process for the selected PLMN. The measurement application provides a network registration success or failure event of the eSIM card to the terminal.
Step 105: and if the network registration of the eSIM card fails, downloading the PLMN recommendation data packet of the current position. And the current position PLMN recommendation data packet comprises a current GPS positioning data item and a recommended PLMN network number data item.
The current position PLMN recommendation data packet is generated by the mobile internet by adopting a specific calculation method according to the collected historical data of the current PLMN cell measurement data packet.
Upon receiving an eSIM card network registration failure event, the screening application updates the UPLMN data item of the SIM card. And updating the network number of the required PLMN to be extracted from the PLMN recommended data packet of the current position.
Step 106: and the terminal switches PLMN registration and uploads the current cell measurement data packet of the PLMN.
The measurement application program executes PLMN measurement functional units, including but not limited to a wireless frequency point scanning functional unit, a signal strength measurement functional unit and a connection bandwidth measurement functional unit.
The measurement application program can store the PLMN current cell measurement data packet generated by the PLMN measurement function unit in the terminal. And the current PLMN Cell measurement data packet at least comprises a current GPS positioning data item, a PLMN network number data item, a current Cell ID number data item, a wireless frequency point data item, a signal strength data item and a connection bandwidth data item.
And the measurement application program can upload the measurement data packet of the current PLMN cell to the mobile internet through a networking data link of the terminal.
And the network selection application program configures the PLMN registration state of the terminal. The configured PLMN registration state is an online state of a PLMN registered by the terminal setting the SIM card and/or the eSIM card, respectively, and includes, but is not limited to, an offline state, an online standby state, and an online communication state.
Step 107: the terminal generates a location change event.
The terminal has the current positioning data acquisition capacity. Including but not limited to cell location update information, GPS location information.
And after the current positioning data collected by the terminal is updated, generating a terminal positioning update event and returning to the step 103.
In this embodiment, the network platform includes an eSIM data platform and a measurement data platform, which are two sub-platforms.
