Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of wireless communication technologies, and in particular, to a method, an apparatus, and a user equipment for reporting SON related information.
Background
With the rapid development of communication technologies, network construction and maintenance of operators have met with increasing challenges. Compared with the previous communication system, the LTE (Long Term Evolution) communication system has great advantages, such as being capable of providing a larger wireless bandwidth, a larger number of broadband applications and a higher quality. However, LTE operators must choose an efficient and low-cost way to maintain operation, and thus SON (Self-Organizing Networks) technology is in the midst of their work. The SON technology in the LTE communication system instructs a UE (User Equipment) to record information of a serving cell when a Radio Resource Control (RRC) layer connection is failed to establish, a Radio link is failed, or handover is failed, measurement information of neighboring cells of the same frequency, different frequency, and different systems, location information, time information, and the like, and report the information to an evolved Node B (eNB). The eNB realizes self-optimization of the network according to network performance parameters and deployment conditions by collecting reports of the UE and interacting report contents with the adjacent eNB, so that the efficiency of network construction and maintenance is improved on the whole, operators are effectively helped to reduce cost, and user experience is improved.
In the process of implementing the invention, the inventor finds that at least the following technical problems exist in the prior art:
the 3GPP standard only makes some provisions for the SON function supported by the normal UE in the normal coverage cell, and currently, no consideration is temporarily made as to whether or not the network maintenance and optimization of the coverage enhancement cell can be implemented by the SON function, and how to implement the maintenance and optimization by the SON function.
