Description

Device for detachably fixing a front panel and method for assembling and disassembling a front panel
Technical Field
The invention relates to a device for detachably fixing a front panel to a side frame of a drawer, comprising at least one holder which can be fixed to the front panel and which has at least one locking lever prestressed by an energy accumulator and which can be brought into engagement with the holder so as to lock, the holder being insertable in an assembly direction, wherein the holder is supported by counter bearings, and to a drawer and a method for detachably fixing a front panel to a side frame of a drawer.
Background
WO2012/171047a1 discloses a furniture fitting for attaching a front panel to a drawer frame, wherein a plurality of connecting elements stacked one above the other are fixed on the front panel. Each connecting element can in this case be coupled to a latching device connected via a transmission, as a result of which a joint unlocking of the connected latching devices is achieved. The transmission mechanism for unlocking results in a relatively complicated structure.
Disclosure of Invention
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a device for detachably fixing a front panel to a side frame of a drawer, and a corresponding method for assembling and disassembling a front panel, which ensures reliable fixing and enables disassembly using simple means.
This object is achieved by a device having the features of claim 1 and a method having the features of claim 13.
The device according to the invention has a locking rod which is prestressed by the energy accumulator, which can be engaged with a keeper for locking, which can be inserted or plugged in the assembly direction, wherein the keeper is supported by counter bearings, wherein the counter bearings can be moved into an unlocking position, and for the unlocking process the keeper can be moved together with the front panel in a direction different from the assembly direction. This enables the front panel to be moved first along a first path that is offset from the assembly direction (preferably transverse to the assembly direction of the front panel), so that removal of the front panel in the opening direction (i.e. opposite to the assembly direction) can then take place along a second path. Thus, the front panel can only be removed when it is ensured that the unlocking of the front panel and the corresponding movement of the front panel are performed on the opposite side frames of the drawer. Incorrect operation can thus be avoided.
Preferably, after unlocking, the front panel is movable along a first path transverse to the assembly direction of the front panel and along a second path opposite to the assembly direction. In this case, the counter bearing supporting the holder can be moved by the unlocking element, and the holder can be moved in the counter bearing direction after leaving the bearing point of the counter bearing to the holder. If the counter bearings are moved only by the unlocking element, the front panel can be locked on the side frames using a plurality of holders and a plurality of locking bars associated with the holders, wherein only one counter bearing is required, and wherein the counter bearings are moved for unlocking, so that no coupling has to be made on each individual holder.
After unlocking, the front panel is preferably lowered downwards and then removed in the opening direction. It is also possible to displace the front panel in the other direction, but it is easy to achieve a downward movement of the front panel with opening the drawer.
In order to stably lock the front panel, a receiving portion for a locking pin disposed on the locking lever is formed on the holder. In this case, each keeper is associated with a locking bar, and a clamping connection can be established between the keeper and the locking bar when locked.
For simple assembly, a lead-in slope may be formed on each retainer, which ensures pivoting of the locking bar when the locking bar touches the lead-in slope. A receiving portion having a clamping slope inclined in the opposite direction may be provided behind the lead-in slope for clamping the front panel on the side frame. Tolerance compensation is possible by means of the inclined clamping ramp, since it is not important at which point the inclined clamping ramp of the locking pin clamps for locking purposes. For simple disassembly, a channel can be formed on the holder, into which the counter bearing can be inserted when unlocking has taken place and the front panel has been moved accordingly, and the front panel is then removed in the direction opposite to the assembly direction. At least two retainers are fixed on the front panel on one side, the retainers can be engaged with one locking lever each, and therefore the tall front panel can also be stably fixed.
According to the invention, a drawer is also provided which comprises means for detachably fixing the front panel to the side frames of the drawer, wherein the respective means are preferably provided on opposite sides in each case. In order to fix the tolerance front panel stably, in this case two retainers and two locking levers are provided on each side of the drawer, which are supported on the guide by counter bearings on each side.
For a visually attractive design of the drawer, the unlocking element can be actuated via a handle element which is accessible on the underside of the drawer (i.e. only in the poorly visible areas).
In the method according to the invention, the front panel comprising at least one holder on opposite sides is first pushed in the assembly direction onto the side frames of the drawer, wherein each holder is locked on the locking unit and the front panel is fixed in a clamping manner on the side frames. For disassembly, the unlocking element is then activated to detach the locking unit from the holder. Subsequently, the front panel may be moved along a first path transverse to the assembly direction and then removed along a second path in a direction opposite to the assembly direction. Due to this combined movement of the front panel during disassembly, the direction of action of the locking mechanism can be adjusted in an optimized manner as required.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a furniture item 1 comprising a furniture body 2, on which furniture body 2a plurality of drawers 3, which are arranged one above the other, are mounted such that they can be displaced. Each drawer 3 has a front panel 4, which front panel 4 is arranged in each case on side frames 5 on opposite sides.
As shown in fig. 2A and 2B, instead of a shorter front panel 4 having a smaller height, the drawer 3 may also have a front panel 4 'of a higher height, on which front panel 4' a plurality of holders 8 (here in each case two) are fixed on opposite sides. The retainer 8 may be inserted into a cavity on the side frame 5 to be secured on the side frame 5 on a locking mechanism. Thus, the front panel 4' can be held on the side frame 5 in a clamping manner. The side frames 5 are connected to each other via the bottom 7 and at the rear via the rear wall 6.
In fig. 3, a locking mechanism for detachably fixing the front panel 4 to the side frame 5 of the drawer before assembly with the front panel is shown, which locking mechanism is arranged in the cavity of the side frame. Thus, the front panel 4, which is secured with two holders 8 on each side, is illustrated as still being spaced from the side frames 5. In each side frame 5 an assembly plate 9 is located, which assembly plate 9 can be manufactured from an angled metal plate, on which two locking levers 10 are mounted so that they can pivot. For this purpose, each locking lever 10 is held such that it can be pivoted via a shaft 11 on the assembly plate 9. One locking bar 10 is associated with each keeper 8. In the exemplary embodiment, the locking lever 10 is designed as a rotatably mounted lever, but locking levers which are movable along guides, in particular curved guides, can also be used.
Each locking lever 10 is prestressed via an energy accumulator in the form of a spring 12, in particular a compression spring, and in each case presses against a projection 16, 16', which projections 16, 16' limit the pivoting movement in the clockwise direction. For this purpose, the spring 12 is supported on one side on a support element 13, which support element 13 is fixed to the assembly plate 9. The guide element is fed through the spring 12 and through the support element 13, and the spring 12 via the guide element arranges one end 14 in an intermediate region on the locking lever 10. The locking lever 10 is in this case formed at an angle and has a locking pin 15 at one end located away from the shaft 11, which locking pin 15 can be engaged with the holder 8. The two locking levers 10 can be designed to be structurally identical, wherein identical parts have identical reference numerals. Instead of two locking levers 10, only one locking lever 10 may be pivotably mounted on assembly plate 9, or more than two locking levers 10 may be pivotably mounted on assembly plate 9. Thus, the number of holders 8 can be similarly selected.
To assemble the front panel 4, it is first moved in its longitudinal direction towards the side frame 5, with the guide surface 84 of the lower holder 8 resting on the counter bearing 20, as shown in fig. 4. By moving in the longitudinal direction of the side frame 5 on the counter bearing 20, the keeper 8 is brought into contact with the locking pins 15 of the two locking levers 10 using the lead-in slopes 81 extending obliquely upward. As the front panel 4 is moved further in the assembly direction, the locking pin 15 moves along the lead-in ramp 81, whereby the locking lever 10 pivots counter-clockwise and against the energy of the spring 12.
In fig. 5, the lock pin 15 is almost at the highest point of the lead-in slope 81 immediately before the front panel 4 is fixed to the side frame 5. The spring 12 is stressed and due to further movement of the front panel 4 in the direction of the side frame 5, the locking pin 15 comes into contact with a clamping ramp 83 inclined in the opposite direction in a receptacle 82 on the holder 8, wherein the front panel 4 comes into contact with the end face of the side frame 5. Now no further movement in the direction towards the side frame 5 is possible and a movement in the direction opposite to the assembly direction is no longer possible due to the locking pin 15 pressing against the inclined clamping ramp 83 via the spring energy. The inclined clamping ramp 83 is arranged at an angle to the vertical, preferably at an angle of between 10 ° and 40 °.
Figure 6 shows the latched position. The two locking levers 10 are pivoted clockwise again after passing over the highest point of the lead-in ramps 81, and the locking pins 15 rest on the inclined clamping ramps 83 and, due to the energy of the springs 12, press the holder 8 downwards and towards the side frame 5. However, the front panel 4 does not move downward because the counter bearings 20 in the form of pins press against the lower guide surface 84 of the lower holder 8. The inclined clamping ramp 83 thus merely causes the front panel 4 to abut in the direction of the side frame 5 and thus clamp it in place. The position of the locking pin 15 on the respective inclined clamping ramp 83 is independent of the fixing of the front panel 4, so that assembly tolerances of the holder 8, the front panel 4 or the assembly panel 9 can also be compensated.
If the front panel 4 is to be removed from the side frame 5 again, an unlocking element 17 in the form of a lever is provided, which unlocking element 17 projects downwards from the assembly plate 9, has a handle portion 19 and is accessible from below in the side frame 5. The unlocking element 17 is mounted so as to be pivotable about an axis 18 on a bracket 21. The bracket 21, on which the counter bearing 20 is arranged, is mounted so as to be linearly displaceable on a guide on the assembly plate 9. The guide portion is formed by a groove 87 and an elliptical hole 88 shown in fig. 12, the counter bearing 20 is guided in the groove 87, and the shaft 18 is guided in the elliptical hole 88. Other guiding means may also be provided for the carriage 21.
On the side opposite to the grip portion 19, the above-mentioned projection 16 is formed on the assembly plate 9, and an unlocking member 17 is supported on the above-mentioned projection 16. Furthermore, the unlocking element 17 is prestressed in the locked position by means of a spring 23, wherein the spring 23 is held at one end on the movable carrier 21 and on the opposite side on the fixed assembly plate 9.
If the unlocking element 17 is now moved to the right by moving the handle portion 19 in fig. 6, the bracket 21 is also moved to the right due to the attachment via the shaft 18, since the unlocking element 17 is supported on the projection 16. This movement occurs against the energy of the spring 23.
As a result of this movement, counter bearing 20 in the form of a pin moves to the right relative to guide surface 84 until it enters opening 85 in holder 8. This position is shown in figure 7. Since only the bracket 21 moves together with the counter bearing 20, the two locking pins 15 remain in contact in a spring-loaded manner on the inclined clamping ramp 83. However, in this position, the front panel 4 including the holder 8 can be moved downwards, since the counter bearing 20 is no longer supported on the lower guide surface 84, but is located in the region of the opening 85.
When the front panel 4 has been lowered along the first path after unlocking, the position is as shown in fig. 8, and therefore the counter bearing 20 is no longer arranged below the guide surface 84, but inside the holder 8. Due to this movement of the front panel 4 downward, the two holders 8 also move downward. During downward movement of the retainer 8, the locking levers 10 pivot further clockwise until the projections 16, 16' restrict pivoting, and thus the locking pin 15 of each locking lever 10 moves out of contact with the respective clamping ramp 83 as the retainer 8 moves further downward. The keeper 8 is now moved downwards enough that the locking pin 15 of each locking bar 10 is positioned above the highest point of the lead-in ramp 81. The guide surface 84 on the lowermost holder 8 presses against the guide path 90 on the assembly plate 9. In this position, the front panel 4 can now be removed in the opposite direction to the assembly direction, i.e. in the opening direction of the drawer, as shown in fig. 9. The lead-in slope 81 is moved past under the locking pin 15 without contacting the locking pin 15, and thus the keeper 8 is disengaged from the locking lever 10. In this case, counter bearing 20 is guided back by the energy of spring 23 in a channel in holder 8, which channel is formed open towards side frame 5. For example, the channel may have a groove 86 to guide through the bracket 21 with the counter bearing 20 and may be otherwise formed closed.
Fig. 10 shows the fully detached position of the front panel 4. The two retainers 8 are arranged spaced apart from the side frames 5, and for the purpose of carrying out the assembly process again, the front panel 4 is raised sufficiently that the lower retainer can be inserted again between the counter bearings 20 and the locking pins 15 of the lower locking lever 10.
In fig. 11 to 14, means for fixing the front panel 4 are shown, without the side frames 5 and without the front panel 4. The holder 8 is formed substantially at an angle and has two legs spaced apart from each other and arranged parallel to each other, with an inclined lead-in ramp 81 and subsequently two clamping ramps 83, the clamping ramps 83 also being spaced apart from each other but inclined in opposite directions, between which clamping ramps 83 a portion of the locking bar 10 can be inserted. The locking pin 15 passes through the locking lever 10 and protrudes on the opposite side, and therefore the locking pin 15 is guided on the holder 8, with the two protruding ends resting on both sides on the two lead-in ramps 81 and then on the two clamping ramps 83, so that tilting is avoided.
The counter bearing 20 protrudes on opposite sides of the bracket 21 and the bracket 21 is movable through a slot 86 arranged on the underside of the holder 8, wherein the counter bearing 20 presses against the lower web forming the guide surface 84. Due to the guidance of the counter bearing 20 in the groove, the bracket 21 can only be moved relative to the holder 8 parallel to the longitudinal direction of the side frame 5.
In fig. 13, a groove 86 can be seen on the underside of the upper holder 8, the groove 86 being laterally surrounded by the guide surface 84. Furthermore, it can be seen that the unlocking element 17 is supported on the projection 16 and that the bracket 21 is moved to the right by being attached via the shaft 18 by pivoting the unlocking element 17 against the energy of the spring 23.
The locking mechanism on the assembly panel 9 can be mounted in the side frame 5 as a pre-assembled unit. In this case, other mechanisms for coupling the locking bar 10 to one of the holders 8 may also be used on the locking mechanism. The movement of the counter bearing 20 by the unlocking element 17 can also be implemented by other mechanisms.
