Abstract

The invention discloses a strategy control method and a strategy controller, and relates to the technical field of mobile communication. The method comprises the following steps: the strategy controller receives data distribution information; the strategy controller determines a data distribution strategy according to the data distribution information; and the strategy controller sends a data distribution strategy to the mobile edge computing MEC platform so that the MEC platform distributes the data passing through the MEC platform according to the data distribution strategy. Therefore, a data distribution strategy is dynamically formulated, and intelligent data distribution is further realized.

Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of wireless communication, in particular to a policy control method and a Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) platform.
Background
The mobile edge refers to a location on and closer to the user than the radio access side with respect to the core network of the mobile network. The MEC (Mobile Edge Computing) refers to providing an IT service environment and cloud Computing capability at an Edge position of a Mobile network, and aims to reduce service delay, save network bandwidth, and improve service transmission efficiency, thereby providing a high-quality service experience for a user. The mobile edge computing changes the state of the traditional mobile network separated from the service, sinks the service platform to the edge of the network, provides service computing and data caching capabilities for mobile users nearby, provides third-party application integration, and realizes service innovation of a mobile edge entrance.
The MEC platform is generally connected in series behind the base station, and the shunting rules matching with specific 5-tuple are pre-configured locally. The MEC platform determines whether the data flowing through is forwarded to the local network or passed through to the core network according to locally pre-configured rules.
The current local shunting of mobile edge computing has the following problems: the manner in which the breakout rules are preconfigured on the MEC platform is relatively static and inflexible. For example, when the traffic with high MEC rate and low latency causes congestion of the wireless air interface, the static offloading policy cannot be adjusted. There is currently no efficient way to implement intelligent, dynamic shunt control at the MEC.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims to solve the technical problems that: how to realize dynamic data distribution strategy formulation and intelligent data distribution.

After the policy controller receives the demand information of the MEC platform, a data offloading policy for offloading data to the local cache or the central cache may be determined according to the demand information of the MEC platform. For example, the MEC platform requirement information points to offloading data to the local cache, and the policy controller may formulate a data offloading policy for offloading data to the local cache.
After the policy controller receives the location information of the user, a data offloading policy for offloading data to a local cache or a central cache may be determined according to whether the base station to which the user belongs is associated with the MEC platform. For example, the location information of the user indicates that the base station to which the user belongs is associated with the MEC platform, and the policy controller may make a data offloading policy for offloading data to the local cache.
After the policy controller receives the network congestion information, the data encoding format can be determined according to the network congestion information, so that a data distribution policy for distributing the data to a local cache or a central cache corresponding to the data encoding format is determined. For example, the network congestion information indicates that the network link is congested at this time, and the policy controller may determine the data encoding format with a high compression ratio according to the network congestion information, so as to formulate a data splitting policy for splitting data into a local cache or a central cache corresponding to the data encoding format with a high compression ratio.
Step S106, the strategy controller sends a data distribution strategy to the MEC platform, and the MEC platform receives the data distribution strategy sent by the strategy controller.
The data offloading policy may include associated quintuple description information. In a 4G environment, the policy controller may be a policy control function PCRF, and the PCRF may send the data offloading policy to the MEC platform through a Gx interface or a representational state transfer Rest interface. In a 5G environment, the policy controller may be a 5G control plane device, and the 5G control plane device may send the data offloading policy to the MEC platform through a control plane-user plane CP-UP.
And step S108, the MEC platform shunts the data passing through the MEC platform according to the data shunting strategy.
In the above embodiment, the policy controller receives the data offloading information and determines the data offloading policy according to the data offloading information, the policy controller sends the data offloading policy to the mobile edge computing MEC platform, and the MEC platform offloads the data passing through the MEC platform according to the data offloading policy, so that a dynamic data offloading policy is formulated, and intelligent data offloading is realized.
Optionally, the policy control method of the present invention further includes:

In the above embodiment, the MEC platform may perform corresponding adjustment on the data offloading policy according to the data offloading policy change message, thereby further implementing dynamic formulation of the data offloading policy and intelligent data offloading.

Aiming at the problem that no effective method is available for realizing the dynamic flow distribution control of the MEC at present, the MEC platform provided by the embodiment respectively provides adaptive strategy controllers in 4G and 5G networks, and newly adds a lightweight interface or utilizes a subsequent standardized control plane interface and a subsequent standardized user plane interface to transmit the MEC dynamic flow distribution strategy, so that the problems of curing the MEC flow distribution strategy, difficulty in strategy updating and the like are solved, and the intelligent and fine management of the MEC data flow by an operator is realized.
