Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method for sending and receiving a paging message, a network device, and a terminal.
Background
At present, a Narrow-Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT) based on a cellular becomes an important branch of a world wide Internet network, and can be directly deployed in a Global System for mobile Communication (GSM) network, a Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) network, or a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, so as to reduce deployment cost and achieve smooth upgrade.
Discontinuous Reception (DRX) is a technology for reducing power consumption of a terminal, such as a technology for reducing power consumption of User Equipment (UE), and the UE in the DRX sleep state turns off most of transceiver circuits, thereby achieving the purpose of saving energy. DRX can be applied to a Radio Resource Control Connected (RRC _ Connected) mode and a Radio Resource Control Idle (RRC _ Idle) mode, hereinafter referred to as an Idle mode, where a main operation of the UE in the Idle mode is to monitor paging on the network side. In the existing research, an Evolved Discontinuous Reception (eDRX) technology is proposed to further reduce the power consumption of the UE, and the UE monitors paging in an eDRX cycle in an idle mode.
In an NB-IoT network system adopting an eDRX period to monitor paging, UE and a core network negotiate an eDRX parameter through Non-Access Stratum (NAS) information, and when the core network initiates paging to the UE through a base station, the base station only initiates paging in a fixed time window. Because the bandwidth of the NB-IoT network is small, Physical Resource Blocks (PRBs) that can be used are few, and because of the lack of PRB resources, paging information from a base station to a UE is likely to collide, which may cause some paging messages to be unable to be sent, and further cause reliability of eDRX paging reception to be reduced.
In summary, how a network device (e.g., a base station) sends a paging message under a condition that physical resources are limited is a technical problem to be solved.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims to provide a method for sending and receiving a paging message and network equipment, which aim to solve the problem that the network equipment can send the paging message to a terminal under the condition that physical resources are limited.
The purpose of the invention is realized by the following technical scheme:
the invention provides a method for sending a paging message, which comprises the following steps:
the network equipment receives a paging message sent by a core network and adds the paging message into a paging queue; the network equipment determines paging time (PO) positions used for sending the paging messages in a time window allowing the terminal to receive the paging messages, wherein the number of the PO positions is at least two; transmitting the paging message in the paging queue at each of the at least two PO locations.
By sending the paging message in the paging queue at each of the at least two PO locations, the problem that the network device can still send the paging message to the terminal in the case of limited physical resources is solved.
Preferably, after the paging message is sent at each PO location of the at least two PO locations, the method specifically includes:
and if the network equipment determines that the terminal completes paging access according to the paging message, deleting the paging message which is not sent to the terminal in the paging queue.
In the above scheme, after the terminal is determined to have completed paging access, the paging messages which are not sent to the terminal in the paging queue are deleted, and the number of invalid paging messages in the paging queue is removed in time, so that the occurrence of congestion is reduced, and the paging efficiency of network equipment is improved. Meanwhile, the situation that the network equipment accumulates a plurality of paging messages aiming at the same user, and the paging messages sent by the network equipment are received again after the terminal releases the paging access, so that the network equipment accesses again is avoided.
Preferably, the deleting the paging message which is not sent to the terminal in the paging queue includes:
if the paging message is a paging message for International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI), deleting all IMSI paging messages in the paging queue; and if the paging message is a paging message aiming at a Service-temporary Mobile subscriber Identity (S-TMSI), deleting the unsent paging message carrying the S-TMSI in the paging queue.
Preferably, before the network device adds the paging message to the paging queue, the method specifically includes:
and if the network equipment judges that the paging message which is the same as the received paging message exists in the paging queue, deleting the paging message which is the same as the received paging message in the paging queue.
In the above scheme, before the network device receives the paging message and adds the paging message into the paging queue, the network device determines whether the paging message identical to the received paging message exists in the paging queue, and if the paging message identical to the received paging message exists, the network device deletes the paging message identical to the received paging message in the paging queue, thereby avoiding the paging message identical to the paging message existing in the paging queue, timely eliminating the number of invalid paging messages in the paging queue, further reducing the congestion of the paging queue, and improving the paging efficiency of the network device. Meanwhile, the situation that the network equipment receives the paging message sent by the network equipment again after the terminal releases the paging access because the network equipment accumulates a plurality of same paging messages, so that the network equipment accesses again is avoided.
Preferably, after the network device receives the paging message sent by the core network, the method further includes:
if the network equipment determines that the length of a time window allowing sending of paging messages is greater than the length of a discontinuous reception cycle (TeDRX _ H) of the paging messages, deleting the paging messages which are the same as the received paging messages in the paging queue;
if the network equipment determines that the length of the time window allowing the sending of the paging message is smaller than the length of the TeDRX _ H of the discontinuous receiving period of the paging message, the network equipment deletes the paging message in the paging queue, the sending time of which is outside the time window allowing the sending of the paging message and is in the TeDRX _ H period.
The invention provides a method for receiving a paging message, which comprises the following steps:
a terminal determines PO positions at paging time for receiving paging messages, wherein the number of the PO positions is at least two; and the terminal receives the paging message in the paging queue at each PO position in the at least two PO positions.
In the above scheme, the terminal receives the paging message in the paging queue at each of the at least two PO locations, so that the opportunity of receiving the paging message is increased, and if the paging message is not received at the first coming PO location, the paging message can be received at least one PO location later, so that the waiting time is reduced.
Preferably, after receiving the paging message at each PO location of the at least two PO locations, the method specifically includes:
and the terminal sends a message for completing paging access according to the paging message to the network equipment.
In the above scheme, after determining that paging access is completed, the terminal sends information of completing access to the network device, so as to prevent the network device from sending paging access message to the network device again.

Preferably, the processing module is further configured to:
and deleting the paging message which is not sent to the terminal in the paging queue after the sending module sends the paging message in the paging queue at each PO position of the at least two PO positions determined by the determining module and when the terminal is determined to finish paging access according to the paging message.

after the network equipment receives a paging message sent by a core network, if the network equipment determines that the length of a time window allowing the sending of the paging message is greater than the length of a discontinuous reception cycle (TeDRX _ H) of the paging message, deleting the paging message which is the same as the received paging message in the paging queue;
if the network equipment determines that the length of the time window allowing the sending of the paging message is smaller than the length of the TeDRX _ H of the discontinuous receiving period of the paging message, the network equipment deletes the paging message in the paging queue, the sending time of which is outside the time window allowing the sending of the paging message and is in the TeDRX _ H period.

Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only some embodiments, and not all embodiments, of the present invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
In order to solve the problem that network equipment cannot send paging messages when physical resources are limited, an embodiment of the present invention provides a method for sending paging messages.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a method for sending a paging message according to an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 1, the method includes:
s101: the network equipment receives the paging message sent by the core network and adds the paging message into the paging queue.
S102: the network equipment determines the PO positions of the paging time used for sending the paging message in the time window allowing the terminal to receive the paging message, wherein the number of the PO positions is at least two.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the PO position may be obtained by mapping i _ s and Ns, and the calculation formulas of i _ s and Ns are as follows:
the calculation formula of i _ s is as follows: i _ s ═ floor (UE _ ID/N) mod Ns;
the calculation formula of Ns is that Ns is max (1, nB/T);
wherein, the formula of the related parameters is as follows:
nB:4T,2T,T,T/2,T/4,T/8,T/16,T/32,T/64,T/128,and T/256;
N:min(T,nB);
UE _ ID UE identification.
The transmitting position of PO is mapped by i _ s and Ns in the following way:
Ns | PO when i_s=0 | PO when i_s=1 | PO when i_s=2 | PO when i_s=3 |
1 | 9 | N/A | N/A | N/A |
2 | 4 | 9 | N/A | N/A |
4 | 0 | 4 | 5 | 9 |
s103: transmitting the paging message in the paging queue at each of the at least two PO locations.
In the embodiment of the invention, the paging messages in the paging queue are sent at least two PO positions which are used for sending the paging messages in the time window which is determined by the network equipment and allows the terminal to receive the paging messages, compared with the prior art that the paging messages are sent at only one specific PO position, the opportunity that the terminal receives the paging messages is increased, the terminal can be ensured to receive the paging messages as soon as possible, the delay time is reduced, the number of the paging messages in the paging queue is reduced by sending the paging messages in the paging queue at a plurality of PO positions, and the problem that some paging messages cannot be sent due to the collision of the paging messages caused by the limitation of physical resources is solved.
In the embodiment of the invention, in order to ensure that the number of invalid paging messages in a paging queue is cleared timely and further reduce the occurrence of congestion, another method for sending the paging messages is provided.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart of another method for sending a paging message according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 2, where portions S201, S202, and S203 are the same as portions S101, S102, and S103 in fig. 1, except that, in S204, if the network device determines that a terminal has completed paging access according to the paging message, the paging message that is not sent to the terminal in the paging queue is deleted. The paging efficiency of the network equipment is improved by timely clearing the number of invalid paging messages in the paging queue. Meanwhile, the situation that the network equipment accumulates a plurality of paging messages aiming at the same user, and the paging messages sent by the network equipment are received again after the terminal releases the paging access, so that the network equipment accesses again is avoided.
In the embodiment of the present invention, before deleting the paging message that is not sent to the terminal in the paging queue, the network device first determines whether the type of the paging message is an IMSI paging message or an S-TMSI paging message.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart of a method for deleting a paging message that is not sent to a terminal in a paging queue according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 3:
s301: and if the paging message is directed to the IMSI paging message, deleting all IMSI paging messages in the paging queue.
In the embodiment of the invention, the network equipment judges that the paging message is the IMSI paging message according to the identification information (such as the random number) carried by the paging message. Since the random number-triggered paging access cannot determine which IMSI paging message is triggered, the network device deletes all IMSI paging messages in the paging queue.
S302: and if the paging message is a paging message aiming at the S-TMSI, deleting the unsent paging message carrying the S-TMSI in the paging queue.
In the embodiment of the invention, the network equipment judges that the paging message is the paging message aiming at the S-TMSI according to the identification information (such as the S-TMSI) carried by the paging message, and because the paging message corresponding to the S-TMSI can be directly searched according to the S-TMSI information, the network equipment directly deletes the unsent paging message carrying the S-TMSI in the paging queue.
In the embodiment of the invention, in order to avoid the same paging message existing in the paging queue and reduce the congestion of the paging queue, the network equipment judges whether the paging message identical to the received paging message exists in the paging queue before adding the paging message into the paging queue.
Fig. 4 is a flowchart of another method for sending a paging message according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 4, where portions S402, S403, and S404 are the same as portions S101, S102, and S103 in fig. 1, except that, in S401, if the network device determines that a paging message identical to a received paging message exists in a paging queue, the network device deletes the paging message identical to the received paging message in the paging queue. By avoiding the same paging message from being added into the paging queue again, the congestion of the paging queue is reduced, and the paging efficiency of the network equipment is improved. Meanwhile, the situation that the paging queue accumulates a plurality of same paging messages, and the paging messages sent by the network equipment are received again after the terminal releases the paging access, so that the terminal accesses again is avoided.
In the embodiment of the invention, two size relations exist between the length of the time window of the paging message and the length of the TeDRX _ H of the paging message. The core network sends the paging message to the network device before the time window, which has two situations. When the network device determines that the length of the time window allowing the sending of the paging message is greater than the length of the paging message TeDRX _ H and the paging message same as the received paging message exists in the paging queue, the network device processes the paging message in the paging queue by adopting the method shown in FIG. 3. When the network equipment determines that the length of the time window allowing the paging message to be sent is smaller than the length of the TeDRX _ H of the paging message, the network equipment deletes the paging message in the paging queue, wherein the sending time of the paging message is outside the time window allowing the paging message to be sent and in the TeDRX _ H period. When the network equipment determines that the length of the time window allowing the paging message to be sent is smaller than the length of the TeDRX _ H of the paging message, the paging message will be idle for a period of time after the paging message is sent in a full time window, and the network equipment reduces the paging message in the queue by deleting the paging message in the TeDRX _ H period, wherein the sending time of the paging queue is outside the time window allowing the paging message to be sent, so that the congestion of the paging queue can be avoided.
The embodiment of the invention also provides a method for receiving the paging message, and the terminal receives the paging message at a plurality of PO positions, thereby increasing the probability of successful receiving of the paging message and improving the paging efficiency.
Fig. 5 is a flowchart of a method for receiving a paging message according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 5, including:
s501: the terminal determines the PO positions at the paging time for receiving the paging message, wherein the number of the PO positions is at least two.
S502: and the terminal receives the paging message in the paging queue at each PO position in the at least two PO positions.
In the embodiment of the invention, in order to avoid that the network equipment repeatedly sends the paging message to the terminal, the terminal receives the paging message and sends the message of completing access to the network equipment after accessing according to the paging message.
Fig. 6 is a flowchart of another method for receiving a paging message according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 6, where portions S601 and S602 are the same as portions S501 and S502 in fig. 5, except that, in S603, the terminal sends a message to the network device to complete paging access according to the paging message. The terminal sends the message for completing the paging access to the network equipment, and the network equipment can process the paging message in the paging queue according to the access message sent by the terminal, delete the invalid paging message in the paging queue in time, reduce the congestion of the paging queue and improve the paging efficiency.
