The yarn selector for knitting machines as in claim 4 wherein: the yarn cutting and releasing mechanism further comprises a steering arm (207) with the middle part rotationally connected to the yarn adjusting base (201) and one end rotationally connected to the lower end of the yarn cutting and releasing connecting rod (206), and a yarn cutting rod (208) with the upper end rotationally connected to the one end of the steering arm (207), wherein when the yarn changing mechanism is located at the yarn releasing position, the cutter bar assembly (205) is far away from the motion track of the yarn cutting rod (208), when the yarn changing mechanism is located at the yarn cutting position, the cutter bar assembly (205) is located on the motion track of the yarn cutting rod (208), and the lower end of the yarn cutting rod (208) pushes the cutter bar assembly (205) to move downwards to cut yarns.

The yarn selector for knitting machines as in claim 6 wherein: the yarn cutting and releasing mechanism further comprises a yarn releasing rod (209) with the upper end rotatably connected with the other end of the steering arm (207), when the yarn changing mechanism is positioned at the yarn cutting position, the cutter bar assembly (205) is far away from the motion track of the yarn releasing rod (209), when the yarn changing mechanism is positioned at the yarn releasing position, the cutter bar assembly (205) is positioned on the motion track of the yarn releasing rod (209), and the cutter bar assembly (205) is pulled by the yarn releasing rod (209) to move upwards to release yarns.
