Description

Retainer for a ring lock
The present invention relates to a retainer for attaching a ring lock to a two-wheeled vehicle, the ring lock having a lock body and a double-armed member, the retainer comprising a fixing portion for attaching the ring lock to a frame of the two-wheeled vehicle, and a receiving portion for receiving the double-armed member.
In order to use the loop lock after riding the two-wheeled vehicle, it is necessary to carry the loop lock and attach it to the two-wheeled vehicle while riding. To this end, a retainer designed to be permanently attached to the frame of the two-wheeled vehicle may be provided to ensure that the loop lock can be detached or removed from the retainer.
It should be ensured that the loop lock is reliable to avoid losing the loop lock when riding. In addition, it is desirable that the retainer should allow flexibility in arranging the loop lock on the two-wheeled vehicle to provide the loop lock at different points of the frame of the two-wheeled vehicle so that the loop lock does not interfere with the use of the two-wheeled vehicle and occupies as little space as possible. Further, it is preferable that the operation is convenient when inserting the ring lock into the holder and removing the ring lock from the holder.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a retainer of the above-mentioned type, wherein the loop lock can be securely attached to the two-wheeled vehicle and, at the same time, allows for a flexible arrangement on the two-wheeled vehicle, a simplest operation when inserting and removing the loop lock and a low cost production.
This object is achieved by a holder having the features of claim 1, in particular by a receiving portion comprising a receiving sleeve having a lateral longitudinal bore through which a lock body of the ring lock can be inserted into an intermediate position of the receiving sleeve, wherein at least one radially projecting, channel-like ring-receiving peg is provided on the receiving sleeve, in which ring-receiving peg a corresponding arm of a ring of the ring lock can be received in an end position axially offset relative to the intermediate position.
The holder according to the invention is therefore designed such that the ring lock is not held in one position only, but on at least two parts, i.e. both on the lock body and on at least one arm, in particular on both arms, of the ring. The retainer thus ensures a secure connection of the ring lock. In addition, the lock body of the ring lock can be first conveniently received in the intermediate position of the holder through the lateral longitudinal bore formed in the receiving sleeve and then conveniently moved to the end position. Therefore, the retainer can be flexibly mounted to the two-wheeled vehicle, and can be easily operated when inserting and removing the ring lock. In addition, the retainer can be kept simple in construction, so that cost-effective production can be achieved.
Due to the channel-like design of the respective ring-like receiving peg, the lock body can be moved in the axial direction of the receiving sleeve from the intermediate position into the end position and thus the ring lock can be moved in the axial direction of the receiving sleeve from the intermediate position into the end position. In particular, the respective channel-like ring-receiving peg has two arms which are at least substantially aligned in the axial direction of the receiving sleeve, so that the respective ring can be accommodated between the two arms of the respective ring-receiving peg.
Typically, during insertion of the ring lock into the intermediate position, the rotational position of the ring lock relative to the longitudinal axis of the receiving sleeve may be selected, and then the ring lock may be displaced to the end position without further rotation. However, typically the rotational position of the coil lock when inserted in the intermediate position will be chosen so randomly that it is necessary to rotate the coil lock before entering the end position to align the rotational position of the coil with the orientation of the coil receiving peg.
Preferred embodiments of the invention are shown in the dependent claims, the description and the drawings.
In order to hold or clamp the ring lock in the holder, the receiving sleeve and/or the corresponding ring-receiving peg are formed at least partially, in particular in the region of the lock body clamping section and/or in the region of the ring clamping section, in a circular inner cross-section having at least an arc of extension of more than 180 °. As described below, it is very advantageous in combination with the elastic design.
Preferably, in the end position, the lock body is receivable by clamping in the receiving sleeve and/or the respective arm of the collar is clamped in the respective collar receiving peg. By clamping or pinching the container or the holder, the ring lock can be held very firmly in the holder and thus fixed on the two-wheeled vehicle.
In particular, the clamping reception of the ring lock in the holder can be achieved by: the receiving sleeve has an elastic lock body clamping section and/or the corresponding ring-like receiving stud has an elastic ring-like clamping section, so that the elastic force of the elastic lock body clamping section and/or the elastic force of the corresponding ring-like clamping section must be overcome when inserting the ring lock into the intermediate position and/or moving the ring lock from the intermediate position to the end position. When the lock body is inserted into the receiving sleeve, the lock body clamping section can first of all be pushed away by the lock body, after reaching the intermediate position, the lock body clamping section is pushed back through the lock body in the direction of its starting position, and when the ring lock is moved into the end position, the respective arm of the ring pushes away or unfolds the respective ring clamping section, after reaching the end position, the lock body pushes back the ring clamping section towards its starting position.
Preferably, the lock body clamping section and/or the ring clamping section has at least one extending sloping plate for temporarily spreading out the receiving sleeve when inserting the ring lock into the intermediate position, in particular through the lock body, and/or for temporarily spreading out the ring receiving peg when moving the ring lock from the intermediate position to the end position, in particular through the respective arm of the ring, in particular until the lock body has passed the lock body clamping section and/or the respective arm has passed the respective ring clamping section.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the lock body clamping section is formed by a section of the sleeve wall receiving the sleeve. Thus, the retainer structure can be kept very simple. The lock body clamping section is preferably configured as a clamping tongue extending in the circumferential direction of the receiving sleeve.
In order to configure the extension ramp described above and/or to spread the receiving sleeve apart when inserting the lock body into the intermediate position, the clamping tongues can be angled outwards at their free ends and/or the receiving sleeve is rounded at the longitudinal edges facing the fixing part and delimiting the longitudinal bore.
If two loop receiving studs are provided, the lock body clamping part is preferably arranged in axial direction between the two loop receiving studs. By means of two loop-receiving pegs, a very secure fastening of the loop lock in the holder can be achieved compared to a single loop-receiving peg.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the respective loop receiving peg has two arms, wherein the respective loop clamping section is formed by reducing a gap between the two arms at free ends of the two arms. This can be achieved, for example, by at least one arm being thickened inwardly at its free end.
According to another embodiment of the invention at least one of the arms is chamfered or rounded at the inner edge of its free end so as to form the above-mentioned extended ramp and/or to expand the loop clamping section when the loop lock is moved from the intermediate position to the end position.
Preferably, the at least one loop receiving peg projects from the receiving sleeve in a direction away from the fixing portion. Specifically, when the fixing portion of the retainer is disposed as the pipe clip, the loop lock can be easily disposed in the triangular shape of the frame of the two-wheeled vehicle, and does not interfere with the rider on the two-wheeled vehicle.
When two loop-receiving stakes are provided, a first loop-receiving stake may be provided at the first end of the receiving sleeve, and a second loop-receiving stake may be provided at the second end of the receiving sleeve, wherein the first arm of the loop lock may be free to access the first loop-receiving stake from the axial direction, and wherein the second arm of the loop lock may access the second loop-receiving stake from the axial direction via a transverse cut formed in the receiving sleeve. Specifically, the second transverse cut is directly adjacent the loop clamping section.
Preferably, the longitudinal bore is open only towards one of the two ends of the receiving sleeve, and the receiving sleeve may have a circumferentially fully closed annular portion. Thus, the freedom of axial movement of the ring lock is limited even in the intermediate position.
Additionally, the receiving sleeve may have a base at one end. The loop lock may be placed on the base by appropriate positioning of the retainer or attachment of the retainer to the two-wheeled vehicle so that the base can be used to support the loop lock. The base may be provided with holes to prevent rainwater from collecting in the base, particularly in the case where the annular portion is immediately adjacent the base.
Preferably, the holder is configured in one piece. This makes it possible to manufacture the holder at low cost. It is even more perfect if the holder is configured as a one-piece injection molded part.
The present invention also relates to a device comprising a loop lock and a retainer, such as, as described above, a retainer for attaching a loop lock to a two-wheeled vehicle.
The following illustrates non-limiting embodiments of the invention. In the drawings:
fig. 1 shows a ring latch for a two-wheeled vehicle and a retainer for the ring latch in a perspective view;
fig. 2 shows the holder of fig. 1 in a perspective view; and
fig. 3 shows the holder of fig. 1 in a front view.
In fig. 1, the hoop lock 11 is shown as having a circular lock body 13 and a hoop 15 having two arms 17, the hoop lock 11 being attachable to the frame of a two-wheeled vehicle via an associated retainer 19. For this purpose, the retainer 19 comprises a fixing portion 21 in the form of a tube clamp, by means of which fixing portion 21 the retainer 19 can be attached to the frame of the two-wheeled vehicle, for example to a seat tube of the frame of the two-wheeled vehicle. In this case, the loop lock 11 and the retainer 19 are at least substantially in the position shown in fig. 1. In principle, however, the holder 19 can also be fixed elsewhere on the frame of the two-wheeled vehicle, for example on the bottom tube of the frame or on the top tube of the frame. In addition, the retainer 19 includes a receiving portion 23, and the loop lock 11 may be received in the receiving portion 23. The receiving portion 23 and the fixing portion 21 are manufactured as a one-piece injection-molded part. The rear side of the receiving portion 23 is connected to the fixing portion 21.
Fig. 2 shows the holder 19 from exactly the same angle as fig. 1, but without showing the ring lock 11, it being possible to see from fig. 2 that the receiving section 23 comprises a receiving sleeve 25, which receiving sleeve 25 serves for receiving the lock body 13 of the ring lock 11, which receiving sleeve 25 has a longitudinal axis 27, wherein the receiving sleeve 25 has a longitudinal bore 29 on one side thereof, which longitudinal bore 29 extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis 27 of the receiving sleeve 25. In the illustrated figures, the receiving sleeve 25 is cylindrical. In principle, however, the receiving sleeve 25 may also have a different shape than a cylindrical shape, for example an angular shape, in particular a rectangular or square cross section. In fig. 2, the longitudinal bore 29 extends over a substantial part of the receiving sleeve 25 and is open at the top of the receiving sleeve 25. The longitudinal bore 29 extends down to an annular portion 31, which annular portion 31 completely surrounds the receiving sleeve 25 in the circumferential direction. In addition, the receiving sleeve 25 is provided at its lower end with a seat 33, in which seat 33 a hole 35 is eccentrically provided.
The receiving sleeve 25 is provided with two ring-type receivers each having a ring-like receiving peg 37, which peg 37 is used to receive a corresponding part of the two arms 17 of the ring lock 11 (see fig. 1). One of the two collar receiving pegs 37 is arranged at the upper end of the receiving sleeve 25 and the other at the lower end of the receiving sleeve 25, the two collar receiving pegs 37 each projecting radially outwards from the front side of the receiving sleeve 25. The arms 17 of the loop 15 of the loop lock 11 are freely accessible from the axial direction to the upper loop receiving peg 37 and the lower loop receiving peg 37 is provided above the loop portion 31 and the arms 17 of the loop 15 of the loop lock 11 are accessible to the lower loop receiving peg 37 via the transverse cut 53 of the receiving sleeve 25. The two loop receiving pegs 37 are each formed in a channel shape, i.e. the two loop receiving pegs 37 each have a channel base 39 and two arms 41, the arms 41 each being oriented in the direction of the upper end of the receiving sleeve 25.
Between the two ring-like receiving studs 37, a lock body clamping section 43 is provided which receives the sleeve 25, which lock body clamping section 43 is used to clamp the lock body 13 of the ring lock 11. For this purpose, the receiving sleeve 25 is configured in the region of the lock body clamping section 43 in a partial ring shape (with the longitudinal bore 29) and has an arc of a circle extending over 180 °. In this respect, the lock body clamping section 43 is formed as part of the wall of the cylindrical receiving sleeve 25 and as a resilient clamping tongue extending in the circumferential direction of the receiving sleeve 25. The free ends of the lock body clamping sections 43 are angled outwards and thus form an extension ramp 47, via which extension ramp 47 the lock body clamping sections 43 can be temporarily expanded, and thus the receiving sleeve 25 can be temporarily expanded via the extension ramp 47, so that the lock body 13 of the loop lock 11 can be accommodated in the receiving sleeve 25.
As can be seen in fig. 3, the two loop receiving pegs 37 also each have a resilient loop clamping portion 45, which loop clamping portion 45 serves to clamp the two arms 17 of the loop 15 of the loop lock 11, and which loop clamping portion 45 is formed such that the distance between the two arms 41 of the respective channel loop receiving peg 37 decreases at the free ends of the two arms 41. This is achieved by the two arms 41 being thickened inwardly at their free ends. Thus, the two loop receiving pegs 37 also have a part-circular form in inner cross-section, the two loop receiving pegs 37 having circular arcs extending over an angle of more than 180 °. In addition, the two arms 41 are chamfered at the inner edges of their free ends. In each case, a respective extension ramp 49 is thus formed, by means of which extension ramp 49 the respective loop receiving peg 37 can be temporarily extended in order to clampingly receive the arm 17 of the loop 15 of the loop lock 11 in the loop receiving peg 37.
To insert the ring lock 11 into the holder 19, the circular lock body 13 of the ring lock 11 is first inserted through the lateral longitudinal bore 29 into the receiving sleeve 25. Thus, the lock body 13 is pressed against the bent portion or the extension slant plate 47, so that the elastic lock body clamping portion 43 is spread against the elastic force of the lock body clamping portion 43, and thus the receiving sleeve 25 is spread against the elastic force of the lock body clamping portion 43. This deployment may be supported by: the longitudinal lateral side 51 of the receiving sleeve 25 opposite the lock body clamping portion 43 with respect to the longitudinal bore 29 is rounded. After the lock body 13 has passed the lock body clamping portion 43 and is first in an intermediate position to receive the sleeve 25, the lock body clamping portion 43 is pushed back to its initial position. Since the outer diameter of the cylindrical lock body 13 is slightly larger than the inner diameter of the receiving sleeve 25, the lock body 13 of the ring lock 11 is held clamped in the receiving sleeve 25.
If necessary, the ring lock 11 is rotated in the intermediate position about the longitudinal axis 27 of the receiving sleeve 25, so that the rotational position of the ring lock 11 coincides with the orientation of the ring-like member receiving peg 37, and then the lock body 13 and the ring lock 11 are lowered axially from the intermediate position into the end position of the lock body 13 in the receiving sleeve 25. Thus, the two arms 17 of the loop 15 of the loop lock 11 are pressed against the respective two inclined inwardly extending sloping plates 49 of the free ends of the two arms 41 of the two loop receiving pegs 37, whereby the respective two arms 41 are spread apart against their spring force. After the arms 17 of the loop 15 of the loop lock 11 pass the two arms 41 of the loop receiving peg 37, respectively, the arms 41 of the loop receiving peg 37 are pushed back to the original positions of the arms 41. Since the outer diameter of the arms 17 of the loop 15 is larger than the inner diameter of the channel-like receiving portion of the loop receiving peg 37, the arms 17 of the loop 15 of the loop lock are clampingly held in the loop receiving peg 37.
The retainer, which is inexpensive to produce, can be firmly fixed to the frame of the two-wheeled vehicle at various positions, and the associated ring lock can be easily inserted and removed.
