All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
For simplicity and clarity of description, the invention will be described below by describing several representative embodiments. The numerous details of the examples are merely provided to assist in understanding the inventive arrangements. It will be apparent, however, that the invention may be practiced without these specific details. Some embodiments are not described in detail, but rather are merely provided as frameworks, in order to avoid unnecessarily obscuring aspects of the invention.
Typically, when a user encounters promotional information (e.g., advertisements) while watching a particular on-air channel, the user typically switches to another channel. However, it is difficult for the user to know when the broadcast of the promotion information on the previous live channel is finished, and therefore, the user usually switches back and forth between the channels to check whether the broadcast of the promotion information is finished, which causes inconvenience in operation, and also brings unnecessary signaling overhead between the user terminal and the media server.
The application designs a popularization information avoiding method. By the popularization information avoiding method, the user can be prompted when the popularization information is played, so that the watching experience of the user can be improved, information interaction between the user terminal and the media server due to blind channel switching of the user can be greatly reduced, and network and hardware resources, even energy, are saved.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic structural diagram of a system to which the popularization information avoiding method described in the present application is applied. As shown in fig. 1, the system may include an application user terminal 101, a network 102, and a media server 103.
In this application, the application user terminal 101 may be a television set for a user to watch a television program, or may also be a client device for a user to watch a video or a live program, for example, a mobile terminal such as a mobile phone, a tablet, a notebook computer, or a computing display device such as a personal computer. Client application software, such as Tencent video client application software, is installed on the client devices and enables users to watch videos or live programs. The user terminal 101 may communicate with a media server 103 via a network 102.
The network 102 may be a wired network or a wireless network. The user terminal 101 and the media server 103 may access the network 102 by a wired or wireless method. As shown in fig. 1, a user terminal 101 accesses a network by wireless, and a media server 103 accesses the network by wired.
The media server 103 may be a server providing media services such as live broadcast or video for the user, and plays live programs and video for the user together with the user terminal 101.
Based on the system structure, the application provides an evading method of the popularization information. The method may be applied on a user terminal 101.
Fig. 2 shows a flowchart of an implementation of the promotion information avoidance method according to the embodiment of the present application. The method comprises the following steps:
step 201: when the currently played first live channel is detected to play the promotion information and an instruction of switching the user from the first live channel to the second live channel is received, the live channel is switched from the first live channel to the second live channel, and the playing progress of the promotion information played on the first live channel is monitored.
In general, the media server 103 adds promotion information to the live media stream transmitted to the user terminal 101 on each live channel. Moreover, the promotional information is video data as well as the live media stream. However, a start identifier of the promotion information with a special format is usually set at the beginning of the video data corresponding to the promotion information, so as to identify the segment of video data as the promotion information. In this way, in some examples of the present application, when the user terminal 101 detects the promotion information start identifier in the media stream live on the currently playing first live channel, it may be considered that the promotion information is being played on the currently playing first live channel. Meanwhile, the user terminal 101 may also confirm the first live channel ID and record the current first live channel ID.
In some examples of the application, the user terminal 101 may obtain in advance a broadcast program list of the currently broadcast first broadcast channel, that is, may obtain in advance at what time the currently broadcast first broadcast channel will broadcast the promotion information and the duration of the broadcast promotion information, and therefore, in these examples, the user terminal 101 may further search for the broadcast program list of the currently broadcast first broadcast channel, and obtain the time that the first broadcast channel broadcasts the promotion information at the time interval, so as to obtain that the promotion information is to be broadcast on the currently broadcast first broadcast channel. Moreover, the user terminal 101 may determine that the currently played first direct broadcast channel is detected to play the promotion information when a predetermined time is reached before the time of playing the promotion information on the first direct broadcast channel. For example, it can be determined that the currently played first direct broadcast channel is detected to play the promotion information 1-5 seconds before the time of playing the promotion information.
Generally, when the first live channel plays the promotion information, the user usually selects to switch to other live channels so as to avoid watching the promotion information. Therefore, in some examples of the application, if it is detected that the first live channel is playing the promotion information and an instruction for switching the user from the first live channel to the second live channel is received, the user terminal may consider that the user wishes to avoid the promotion information, so as to enter a promotion information avoidance mode, that is, after the live channel is switched from the first live channel to the second live channel, the playing progress of the promotion information played on the first live channel is still monitored, so that when the promotion information is played, the user terminal may detect when the promotion information is finished. The promotion information avoiding mode can inform a user in advance through modes such as function description of a product specification and the like, and the user can select to start the promotion information avoiding mode to avoid promotion information in live broadcast. After the promotion information avoiding mode is started, if promotion information is being played on the current live channel and a user selects to switch channels, the promotion information avoiding mode is indicated to be entered, and at the moment, the user terminal monitors the playing progress of the promotion information played on the first live channel.
In some examples of the application, when the user terminal 101 detects that the currently played first live channel is playing the promotion information, the user terminal 101 may further send a first prompt message to the user, for example, a prompt such as "about to enter an advertisement time, may change a channel" or the like is displayed on the display window to prompt the user that the currently live channel is playing or about to play the promotion information, and at this time, the user may switch to another live channel. Meanwhile, options or shortcut keys and the like which are convenient to operate can be provided for the user, so that the user can quickly switch to other live channels. At this time, if the user switches to another channel, it indicates that the promotion information evasion mode is entered, and at this time, the user terminal monitors the playing progress of the promotion information played on the first broadcast channel.
In some examples of the present application, the user terminal 101 may extract a list including other live channels except the first live channel, and display the list of live channels to the user together with the first prompt message. Therefore, the user can directly complete the selection of the live channel through the displayed live channel list, and then send out a channel switching instruction.
In some examples of the application, the user terminal 101 may further search the user channel viewing record, sort the live channels according to the viewing duration and/or the viewing frequency of the live channels recorded in the user channel viewing record, place the channel frequently watched by the user or long watched by the user in front of the list, and place the channel infrequently watched by the user or short watched by the user in the back. That is, the channel is sorted according to the historical watching preference of the user, so that the user can select the channel more conveniently. Or more directly, the user is asked directly whether to switch to the previous live channel based on the channel viewing record. Here, the previous live channel is a live channel that the user has watched before switching to the first live channel.
In some examples of the present application, the user terminal 101 may display the first prompt message and the above-mentioned live channel list to the user through a form such as a floating window. The user terminal 101 may also send the first prompting message in other conceivable manners, such as a voice prompt, which is not limited in this application.
In some examples of the application, a user may send the instruction to switch from the first live channel to the second live channel by selecting a live channel in a displayed live channel list; the user can also directly input a new channel identifier to send the instruction for switching from the first live channel to the second live channel. The user terminal 101 may receive an instruction of the user to switch from the first live channel to the second live channel by receiving a channel identifier input by the user or a channel selected by the user.
When the user terminal 101 receives an instruction of switching the user from the first live channel to the second live channel, the user terminal 101 sends a channel switching request to the media server 103, where the channel switching request includes an Identifier (ID) of the second live channel.
Meanwhile, the user terminal 101 records the ID of the first live channel, then covers the ID of the first live channel currently playing the live channel with the ID of the second live channel, and synchronizes the content of the second live channel, thereby completing the switching from the first live channel to the second live channel.
A specific implementation method for monitoring the playing progress of the promotion information played on the first broadcast channel is described in detail below.
In some examples of the present application, the user terminal 101 may obtain, from the media server 103, a broadcast program list on a live channel currently being broadcast, and obtain, according to the obtained broadcast program list, a broadcast time and a broadcast duration of the promotion information that is broadcast in a current time period, so that monitoring of a broadcast progress of the promotion information that is broadcast on the first live channel may be achieved by starting a timer in a background or in other manners.
In some examples of the present application, when a live program of a first live channel is played, the user terminal 101 may pre-cache a media file of promotion information to be played, so that when a promotion information is inserted in a broadcast instruction, the cached promotion information may be displayed to a user. In this case, the user terminal 101 may monitor the progress of the promotion information playing according to the media file of the cached promotion information. For example, the user terminal 101 plays the media file of the cached promotion information in the background of the software, and monitors the playing progress. Or, the user terminal 101 may determine the duration of the media file according to the cached promotional information, so as to monitor the playing progress of the promotional information by starting a timer in the background or in other manners.
In some examples of the present application, the promotion information may also have a promotion information end identifier for identifying the end of the promotion information. In this case, the user terminal 101 may send a live broadcast request carrying the ID of the first live broadcast channel to the media server 102 while preparing to switch the live broadcast to the second live broadcast channel, and continue to request the media server 102 for the live broadcast media stream of the first live broadcast channel. That is, the user terminal 101 will simultaneously request the live media streams of the two live channels, i.e., the first live channel and the second live channel, from the media server 102, and only display the content of the second live media stream to the user. At this time, the monitoring of the playing progress of the promotion information can be realized by the following technical means: the user terminal 101 detects the promotion information end identifier in real time in the media stream played on the first direct-playing channel. When the user terminal 101 detects the promotion information ending flag, it may determine that the promotion information playing is ended. The above-mentioned end identifier of the promotion information, like the start identifier of the promotion information, may be video data with a special format, and is used to indicate that the segment of the promotion information is ended.
In some examples of the present application, a real live program may also have a live program start identifier for identifying the start of a live program. In this case, the user terminal 101 may also request the media server 102 for live media streams of both the first live channel and the second live channel at the same time, but display only the content of the second live media stream to the user. At this time, the monitoring of the playing progress of the promotion information can be realized by the following technical means: the user terminal 101 detects a start identifier of a live program in real time in a media stream played on a first live channel. When the user terminal 101 detects the start identifier of the live program, it can be determined that the broadcast of the promotion information is finished. The start identifier of the live program, like the start/end identifier of the promotion information, may be video data with a special format, and is used to indicate the start of the live program.
Therefore, it can be seen that the user terminal 101 can implement the monitoring of the promotion information playing progress through a plurality of methods.
In some examples of the application, in order to enable the user to perceive the progress of the promotion information of the first live channel and to promote the promotion information, the user terminal 101 may further send a second prompt message to the user to prompt the user to continue displaying the content of the first live channel. The specific method of this example is described in detail below.
Step 202: and when detecting that the playing of the promotion information played on the first direct broadcasting channel is finished, executing preset promotion information playing and processing after the playing is finished.
In some examples of the present application, the playing progress of the promotion information played on the first broadcast channel may be monitored in real time according to the various methods mentioned in step 201, and therefore, it may be determined when the promotion information is finished according to the monitored playing progress of the promotion information.
For example, when the play progress is monitored by using the start time and duration of the promotion information, when a predetermined time before the end of the promotion information playing is reached, for example, 1 second before the end of the promotion information playing, it may be determined that the promotion information playing is ended. At this time, the live channel can be switched from the second live channel back to the first live channel.
For another example, when the user terminal 101 detects the promotion information end identifier or the live program start identifier, it may be determined that the promotion information playing is ended.
In this application, the preset processing after the playing of the promotion information may include a plurality of processing manners, which processing manner is selected may be configured in advance, or the plurality of processing manners may be notified to the user in advance (for example, written in a product function specification), and the user may complete the selection and configuration of the processing manner after the playing of the promotion information is completed.
For example, in some examples, the processing after the preset promotion information is played may be to switch the live channel from the second live channel back to the first switched channel.
In this case, the user terminal 101 may send a channel switching request to the media server 103, where the channel switching request includes the first live channel ID, and at the same time, the recorded ID of the first live channel may overwrite the ID of the second live channel currently playing the live channel, and synchronize the content of the first live channel, thereby completing the switching from the second live channel to the first live channel.
In some examples, the processing after the preset promotional information is played may be to send a third prompt message to the user to prompt the user that the promotional information played on the first live channel is played to be ended. For example, when it is detected that the advertisement playback has ended, the user terminal 101 may display a prompt message indicating that the advertisement playback has ended for the channel to the user. In this way, the user may choose to switch channels or continue watching a second live channel.
In some examples, in order to be more user-friendly and enable the user experience to be better, the third prompt message may further prompt the user to switch back to the last broadcast channel, and provide a link or an option for fast switching for the user, so as to implement a function of fast switching back to the last broadcast channel. The specific method of this example is described in detail below.
Therefore, by adopting the popularization information avoiding method, when a certain live channel watched by a user plays the popularization information and the user is switched to another live channel, the user terminal monitors the playing progress of the popularization information of the original live channel and prompts the user to switch back to the original channel when the popularization information is played, so that the user is prevented from blindly switching back and forth among the live channels because the user does not know when the popularization information is finished. On one hand, the watching experience of the user can be improved, on the other hand, the information interaction between the user terminal and the media server caused by blind channel switching of the user can be greatly reduced, and the network and hardware resources, even the energy sources such as electric energy and the like are saved.
In some examples, in order to enable the user to perceive the progress of the promotion information of the first live channel and to promote the promotion information, the user terminal 101 may further send a second prompt message to the user to prompt the user to continue displaying the content of the first live channel. Fig. 3 shows a method flow for continuing to display the first live channel. The method may be performed in parallel with the method shown in fig. 2. As shown in fig. 3, the method comprises the steps of:
step 301: and when an instruction of switching the user from the first direct broadcast channel to the second direct broadcast channel is received, sending a second prompt message to the user to prompt the user to continue displaying the content of the first direct broadcast channel.
In some examples of the present application, the second prompting message may be displayed to the user in the form of a floating window. The user is prompted to continue displaying the content of the first on-air channel and is presented with an option or button, such as a "yes" or "no" option, in the display window. The user may select to display or not display the content of the first on-air channel by selecting "yes" or "no".
Step 302: when the user selects to display the content of the first direct broadcast channel, executing step 303; when the user chooses not to display the first direct broadcast channel content, step 304 is performed.
Step 303: the content of the first live channel is displayed in the display window.
In this case, the user terminal 101 further requests the media server 102 for a live media stream of the first live channel, that is, for media streams of two live channels, namely, the first live channel and the second live channel. Moreover, while the user terminal 101 plays the content of the second live channel in the display window, the content of the first live channel may also be displayed in a preset manner at a preset position in the display window.
The preset position may include a preset position and a preset size, for example, a small window at the upper left corner of the display window, and the preset mode may include modes such as a small window or a floating window, and the sound of the first direct-broadcast channel may be selected not to be played. The preset position and the preset mode can be set or adjusted by a user through a user interface.
Fig. 4 shows an example of continuing to display the first live channel after switching to the second live channel according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 4, the content of the second live channel is displayed in the whole screen, and the content of the first live channel, i.e. the advertisement, is displayed in the upper left corner of the screen in the form of a small window 401.
Step 304: and continuing to play the second live channel.
By the method, the content of the first live channel can be continuously displayed for the user while the second live channel is played, so that the user can sense the playing progress of the promotion information of the first live channel and promote the promotion information.
As mentioned above, in some examples, in order to be more user-friendly and enable the user experience to be better, in step 203, when it is detected that the first on-air channel promotion information is over, a third prompt message may be sent to the user to inquire whether the user returns. Fig. 5 shows a live channel switching method according to an embodiment of the present application. The method may be performed in parallel with the methods shown in fig. 2 and 3. As shown in fig. 5, the method comprises the steps of:
step 501: and when detecting that the playing of the promotion information played on the first direct-playing channel is finished, sending a third prompt message to the user to prompt the user that the playing of the promotion information played on the first direct-playing channel is finished, and switching back to the first direct-playing channel.
In this step, the playing progress of the promotion information played in the first broadcast channel may be monitored in real time according to the method mentioned in the step 202, so that when the predetermined time before the end of the playing of the promotion information is reached, for example, 5 seconds before the end of the playing of the promotion information, the end of the playing of the promotion information may be determined. At this point, a third prompting message may be sent to the user. For example, the advertisement time of the channel is displayed in a character window on the display window, and a prompt such as "channel" may be switched back to prompt the user that the promotion information of the previous live channel is about to be played back, and the user may switch back to the live channel. At the same time, the user may also be provided with a shortcut key for convenient operation, such as a "yes" or "no" option, so that the user can quickly switch back to the first live channel previously watched.
Step 502: when an instruction that the user switches back to the first live channel from the second live channel is received, the step of switching the live channel from the second live channel to the first live channel in the step 203 is executed; if an instruction that the user chooses not to switch back from the second live channel to the first live channel is received, step 503 is executed.
Step 503: and continuing to play the second live channel.
By the method, before switching back to the first live channel, the user terminal 101 firstly solicits the user's opinion to decide whether to switch back to the first live channel, so that on one hand, the user experience can be improved, and on the other hand, unnecessary channel switching can be avoided, thereby reducing information interaction between the user terminal and the media server, and saving network and hardware resources.
Based on the above example, the present application also proposes a promotion information circumvention apparatus, which may be installed on the user terminal 101.
In some examples of the present application, the apparatus for reporting popularization information monitoring data may be implemented by a structure diagram shown in fig. 6, including: a detection module 601, a receiving module 602, a switching module 603, a playing progress monitoring module 604, and a processing module 605.
In some examples, the modules function as follows:
the detection module 601 is configured to detect content of a currently played first live channel;
